481  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: When Self-investment beats every form of investment on: March 09, 2024, 06:09:55 PM
I love the concept of this thread so much, you're very much in line with my ideas on how to improve ourselves in the forum and both outside. if we watch very well here in the forum must of the successful members of the forum have an extra Skil that is making them more prominent and reliant to an extent that if they leave for a week we all notice there absence. Most have taking their time to learn communication skills, Coding/Programming languages that are some how related to Bitcoin knowledge and as such we can see how well they communicate there knowledge.

Outside the forum it's must likely to be people with extraordinary skills that do more well than those who are dependant only one ordinary knowledge, it very much paramount to have a good knowledge that could help push you more in any of your career. our thinking shouldn't be only how to invest and make profit as you rightly said we should also think of how to improve ourselves but physically by working out for good health and mental to increase our knowledge from the ordinary to extraordinary knowledge.
482  Economy / Economics / Re: Banking on people's ideas, visions, and talents. on: March 09, 2024, 05:51:46 PM
I have met several people who are genius in thinking, they have different ideas cultivated in their heads but they got no capital to establish them.
some people are made in such a way that they can think but can't put what they think in action, so perhaps if they could think such we expect them to achieve it but it's the opposite. they are not might to work towards this ideas, they are only there to help you think and sometimes it turns bad if you use their ideas without permission and become successful, then they will automatically see you as the enemy.

This kind of people need a team of action people that can put their ideas into action and if properly examined the teams will go far or even invent things through this calibers of people's thinking.

Its part of their characteristics, to be lazy in nature but have all the ideas in there head. I love this kind of people so much, I believe that this is one of the secrets of big companies. they employ thinkers and workers, will the thinkers are lazy but have good ideas the works have to idea but can work so hard. combining this two force it can drive a team to a good destination.
483  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Emulating the decentralised infrastructure on: March 09, 2024, 05:37:17 PM
Perhaps I do not understand your point clearly, so I would ask this; how do we emulate this decentralization? Is it by having a decentralized government? Which obviously can't work or you could put it to me clearly so I can understand, I'm open to learning!.

One big limitation that might accompany the adoption of Bitcoin as legal tender for most countries still dragging their foot towards this adoption is the issue of tax regulations , inadequate consumer protection, Financial institution reluctance, I will also add concerns to the environment.
This are obviously not limitations to Bitcoin adoption but a prominent excuses from the governments to justify their ridiculous decisions to attack Bitcoin directly or indirectly.

If we must emulate this decentralised infrastructure in our everyday experience except for the concern of taxation and consumer protection I have the notion that every other limitations can be discarded and treated as irrelevant.
There are obviously irrelevant even the taxation and consumer protections.

Take the financial institution for example this set centralised entity has done more harm lately than good to the wellbeing of their consumers right. And because this act is been fueled by most country leadership the citizens just have no guts to complain but rather endure and tolerate this excesses.
In the process of being a Bitcoin enthusiast it's not proper to look at the downsides of the traditional banking system. It also has a lot of goods so we must put in consideration both the positive and negative aspect of the centralized financial institutions. In a big fan of privacy and freedom but at some point I have to acknowledge the good works they have contributed to the world.

In my humble opinion decentralisation will do our world more good especially now the centralised system of government is having lapses and loopholes
Decentralization would do more good in financial sectors but we cannot say we need a decentralized government it's obviously not a thing rather we need a more philosophical leader who can see from both side of the social lens.
484  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I just woke up and saw wins in my gambling app on: March 09, 2024, 12:51:04 PM
Well a big congratulations to you mate, you forgetting to keep up with the bet you placed shows that you have been making good use of the advises shared in this board, most people can't afford such an experience because they are always anxious of what the outcome will be because they are probably chasing loses or gambling with what they can't afford to lose.

Furthermore, I have such an experience with betting platform called sportybet in my locals, I once stake with an amount that I can afford to lose and then logged out for days with out checking out my slip, so one day I checked in to place another bet and I discovered that i had won two different games which was worth a good amount and I could stop celebrating such win, 2 in a row that was my biggest surprised with gambling.
485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What causes altcoin season? on: March 09, 2024, 12:32:24 AM
The first thing that a newcomer hear about crypto is Bitcoin. Once the person is interested in crypto, they will learn and share more about altcoins

Bitcoin is always and will remain the father of all crypto coin. Even my old grandfather in the village will have once hear about BTC. With this alone, BTC will remain incomparable with any coin or token in the crypto space.
Without deviating from the actual focus of this thread, I will only want to buttress more or throw more light to what Bitcoin is; Bitcoin isn't just the father or first cryptocurrency but it's a paradigm shift that occured to shift the thinking of people from its original state to another. Its more likely to be first and most reoccurring word that happens to repeat itself in the space.

To OP with my little knowledge in the cryptosphere I think altcoin season is just a phrase used to express a particular event that happens after bitcoin biggest price movement which is every other altcoin reaching a new ATH.
486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to altcoins ? on: March 09, 2024, 12:18:58 AM
usually if the price of bitcoin rises high or bullish trend altcoin price rises not big or even tends to sideway but if bitcoin experiences sideway then the price of altcoin will rise high. after the price of bitcoin rises high. wait for the price of bitcoin sideway then the price of altcoin will skyrocket high and that's what is called altcoin seasson.

As most of us await the bullrun, we are expecting great love in most altcoin. With this your explanation and what we are experiencing presently, should we conclude we are gradually moving  towards the altcoin season.
Practically, I don't recall any season being an altcoin season. But it there is then it's my first time but I only have heard that after the run in Bitcoin price there might also be coins that will run with Bitcoin because of its attachment to Bitcoin. Altcoins don't have bull run but they run with Bitcoin when Bitcoin experiences the bull run if I'm correct.
487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Quick profit is the only reason why we invest in Altcoins on: March 09, 2024, 12:10:53 AM
The reason is that I think they believe in altcoins that they keep for long or short term investments in the hope that it can provide multiple profits from the initial price they bought them by taking advantage of pump price increases or bull runs

This is people's believe about altcoin but most people or newbie has forgotten how risky it may be. Altcoin may be Lambo or nothing (labalaba). Only few altcoin do well just as we think while others end up as a scam project. Getting to know real altcoin involves an intensive research and which most people are too lazy to do.
I think I'm a good example of the lazy people who would rather not invest in this shitcoins (alt-altcoins) instead I would better stick to one that has being doing good already.

Since there are millions of Altcoins in the crypto space it's very difficult to find a trust worthy project that one could invest in. I have been trying to find good Altcoins but it's not working so I don't bother myself anymore.

The major reason i ever thought of investing in altcoin was the fact that Bitcoin can not longer give the quantity of profit like it gave to it's early investors and as such new coins /tokens are coming up and performing almost the same but although they are scams plus but at least before it vanishes we would make profits from it.
488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why not try out a less popular but promising token? on: March 09, 2024, 12:00:36 AM
I like the idea of being among the first investors but I keep asking why should I risk so much to a project that is very young. instead why not just focus on reputable Altcoins or better stay with Bitcoin and make simple profit than stress my head with headaches of new tokens. especially when is very new you will always have to keep up with every move the project makes.

489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you holding any gaming based altcoins? on: March 08, 2024, 11:53:12 PM
Yes, I have previously owned several of them, such as Sandbox and Axie Infinity. but currently I only hold LIVE (second live) which I got from the bounty. I hold it for quite a long time because this altcoin was not yet listed on any exchange. I am very confident about the future of this project because it has many partners and big investors like binance labs.
Even with the big investors characteristics that it has (LIVE) I sincerely don't think it's worth holding for a long time , because it might not even get listed anymore. This days coins can easily be listed but it's left for the devs to continue building the project to the level which investors can make profit.

But well it's your personal decision to hold an alt for long time but I guess it's because it's not yet soldable to some extent that's why you still have it in your custody.
490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to altcoins ? on: March 08, 2024, 10:09:58 PM
If someone who's in the same situation of OP just held for a year, you're now in profit for both bitcoin and Ethereum. But someone who doesn't have patience like that will just have to sell at losses and can no longer wait up to a year or even less than that. As much as you can see, the market is doing well as we've got some clue that it's into bull run and since last year, if someone is patience enough to understand that the halving is coming this year, he'd just hold and have nothing to worry about.
For me i believe if anyone would not hold for upon to a year or less it's absolutely because they are less acquainted with Bitcoin knowledge, if anyone knows about how Bitcoin perfumes in it's circle they would probably not be worried even in the bear market because they already know that it will perform better when the time comes.
491  Other / Archival / Re: Just another question. on: March 08, 2024, 09:47:34 PM
I guess everyone will have the same answers here that it doesn't decay or disappear when an account is banned.

And since almost everyone is curious to know if you have an alt, you can make an experiment though. like going against the forum rules then get banned and later appeal, as soon as it's done then you would find out if it's true or not. lol just kidding but can still try it out.
492  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am i bad to this friend if i refuse to loan him some money in bad economy on: March 08, 2024, 09:37:26 PM
For me it's a personal thing, if the issue with your friend isn't too critical you can decide whether to borrow him or not but if it's a matter of emergency then i would suggest to do your best to assist him because table turns and nobody knows the next minute of life so it's good to be good.

Even though you bought bitcoin with your extra cash during the festive season and your friend didn't it doesn't matter you better than him it only makes you advantageous over him in financial management, one thing I know is its good to be good. So helping a friend is not bad as far as your friend doesn't depend on you to survive rather he just need a one time assistance then you should help.

But regardless you should only give out that you can afford to lose, more like you're likely going to leave the money if he doesn't pay back.
493  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie Alert.!! on: March 08, 2024, 09:24:47 PM
Hi there! Its absolutely not necessary to introduce yourself in the forum regarding your name or even given out any details about you but it's quite okay though since it's not really you really identity name if I'm correct.

The forum is a global ground for all type of Bitcoin and or/crypto discussion. The forum is quite broad to an extent but you can easily relate with the links dropped above for you.

A better beginning for newbies in the crypto space is the learnmeabitcoin [1] website, it's absolutely a background knowledge of Bitcoin and how it works generally, you can begin with that and as time goes on you will begin to be aquatinted with both the forum and Bitcoin knowledge.

494  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Do Not Pressure Anyone Around You To Invest In Bitcoin. on: March 08, 2024, 09:14:43 PM
Its unfortunate that most crypto enthusiasts have taking it upon themselves that Bitcoin is the only way to success, whereas not everyone is called for Bitcoin or the crypto space at large. its absolutely not nice to pressure anyone to run on your own lane, maybe I was meant to run my life races and succeed with Bitcoin Investment and another person is called to run his own race via other skills without even investing on Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrencies.

So, it a personal decision whether to invest or not. I don't like telling anyone to invest in Bitcoin because of the scenarios that I have witnessed, people turning back to the person who introduced them to an investment that usually works but unfortunately it didn't work out for the person in question and it seems the first person who is the introducer is now a bad person and fingers are pointed at him as badass.

So, j would say even with the benefit that is hinging around the bull run it doesn't call for forceful investment, don't pressure anyone to what you do, everyone has his or her own life to live.
495  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: What if the Bitcoin was in note? on: March 08, 2024, 08:31:20 PM
Although you have made it clear that you aren't serious with the question, still you should wake of such dreams of Bitcoin being in a note or fiat format.

Bitcoin is an alternative currency (digital) it can't really be in form of fiat because it wouldn't be enough to go round the world or country as it's limited in number, BTC is just 21 million and it can't exceed that number so with the way fiat is being produced every day it's quite not so with Bitcoin hence it can't be enough to handle a country financial system.

Additionally Bitcoin can be lost as fiat but it's not physical, its almost impossible to find someones Bitcoin wallet seed phrases, so it is difficult to stubble upon a lost bitcoin. even if Bitcoin was to be in fiat format how many people would have owned it? only the calibers of people whom Bitcoin isn't in support of (centralized authorities/ government).

In conclusion, buddy e no possible at all!
496  Economy / Economics / Re: When luxury becomes a necessity. on: March 08, 2024, 07:59:00 PM
There is only this sentiment of luxury around people who can't afford it or those who are greedy to themselves that instead of using there hard earn money to satisfy themselves they rather save for the rest of there life.

You making yourself comfortable is really not luxury for me though it's expensive which gives it the attributes of luxury but on a personal level I don't consider helping myself luxury.

498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Even as a sport fan be careful! on: March 07, 2024, 10:06:49 PM
That's just it people should be careful of how they interact with each other especially when it comes to sporting activities.

I have heard so many stories of this nature even in my locality people keeps fighting themselves for the love of football clubs as a fan, it usually happens when two assumed reval clubs have a match and arguments begins to escalate to the extent of fighting.

Football or any other sport is meant to keep the people happy not for argument and fight people who leave there homes to watch football matches in other places should also be very vigilant and be self conscious and the homes should also learn to take things politely.
499  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: A country with serious economic crisis. on: March 07, 2024, 09:58:20 PM
Its so disheartening, but what can we do? we accept our foolishness because there is no other option than to play along with the inconsiderate leaders.

Why surprises me most is the fact that when I hear the price or amount that is donated to Nigeria it's an amount that one house of Rep. member can give out without his account being shaked but they will stuck up this funds in and international accounts and then suffer the rest of us.

What a mess we live in but it's our country we love it regardless of the incapable leaders we have.
500  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto Scams in Each Market Condition? on: March 07, 2024, 09:46:16 PM
Scammers don't go on holidays, they are there every single minutes of our life waiting for their baits to catch.

I'm not a scammer so I would know the specific scam that will be used this time to exploit investors but with old experience of how they have been operating, ponzi scheme scams are more like to keep it's stand because of the bulll season and at the same time it's also used in the bear market because people might want to withdraw there profit during bear market and then they can get scammed.

You can also be mindful of wallets scam, and if scammed already be mindful of recovering lost funds scam etc. there are many scams that you should be mindful of.
