My people, I greet una. Few weeks ago when dollar was 1900, things were very expensive, now wey dollar be 1540 shey things suppose come down? Abeg anything come down for una side? Abi nothing da come down for Nigeria? This matter don tire me. Went to the market yesterday and I actually expected things to reduce due to dollar little stability, but reverse is the case. Seems this country is getting worse. How una see am?
You're point is well noted, but it's all boiled down to the government inability to check some of the excesses of traders and business owners.
Government is supposed to draft a government price regulatory agency whose responsibility would have been for them to go into the market and check at those traders selling above the market speculated price and sanction them appropriately with instant laws.

If these agencies are not put in place by government of different state, we as a people with continue to suffer haphazard market prices on goods and services.
482  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't do this mistakes in trading on: March 19, 2024, 03:51:50 PM
No matter how many discussions talk about "common trading mistakes" this still won't change everyone. Because what I observed is the more we talk about this, the more newbies fall into committing mistakes. Honestly, it is difficult to change someone who already fell in love with money because even if they know greediness is wrong still it lives in their mind. And no matter how many times they suffer losses, that won't change their behavior. Maybe, just maybe, if they stay cool this time but can't ensure they remain cool for a long time.

We fail trading, not because of the lack of knowledge but it is due to our wrong actions and approaches.
Talking about greed all of the time doesn't mean people will no longer fall for it, of course people must fall except there are no trades anymore but in as much as trades are made a portion of traders must fall into trade victims of greed. Everyone must not win their trades, an error must set in either by an act of greed or something else otherwise we won't have course to be treating the discussion all of the time.

Humans we are wired to seek for more after initial target has been attained and that insatiable nature is what create that greed in us while we trade and when a trader lack a conscious control of that innate inclination for more in his trading life you see he keeps making more losses than profits. Even in times he should make profit greed set in to take more and from taking more a collateral loss is incurred. Everyone of us has greed it is how we manage it that matters.

I understand your point, but the truth is that, people still need to be reminded about their greed when trading because while trading most persons try to get mixed feelings of wanting to take a high percent forgetting that the market is highly volatile. So for me the needs to always remind people to be less greedy while trading cannot be overemphasized.

I understand trading requires patience and a good trading strategy for which, if well applied can make beginners get more profit which in turn will reduce their level of greed. However, Human errors are bound to happen and this is mostly at the beginning stage, but can be corrected at the long run.
483  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: March 19, 2024, 12:22:58 PM
Does Bitcoin actually have a Dip season? Or just when you are capable to purchase that comes the investor Dip time?
Anyways, let me just say buying at the Dip and holding is the best format to purchase your Bitcoin and accumulate as much as you can while the markets erupts to be appreciated in values.

While we alternates to diversify our investment to the altcoins, I don't think if there would be confidence of reliability to buy and hold for such a long term while aiming for increments in the market value. Believe it, altcoins cans be funny.
Bitcoin actually has the dip season, where the market value of bitcoin drops significantly, making it possible for investors that don't have the money to buy the previous high value to start buying and accumulating.

Whenever you have the resource to begin your bitcoin investment journey, is not the same as dip, you can actually start investing let's say when the price was $49k, and after few weeks it moved for $53k,  that simply means you started investing when you had the money, and so far you've made profit of $4k and that's because you've held on for weeks.
However buying the dip requires you to have invested when the price was a bit lower let say $30k or even lower, and you start purchasing little by little using the DCA method.

Altcoins are just what they are known for, alternative coins. they cannot be trusted with long time investment, even when some of them tends to appear with some high market value at a particular period of time, suddenly before you will say Jack, they are no where to be found.
484  Economy / Economics / Re: The Prices of Labour. on: March 19, 2024, 10:24:37 AM
Forthnight ago, I sat down under a mango tree whose blossoming flowers are promising to humanity and birds. It gave a complete relaxation to me which enhanced a moment of reflections over events and nature around.
Barely an hour, two birds most probably male and female arrived to have their launch on the nectar of the flowers. Their arrival was heralded with a peculiar song that seemed esoteric, but it's lyrics was a lullaby to me.
Suddenly, there appeared in the scene a dramatic event. Three men were pushing an unkempt brand old Passat car towards me to be kept under the mango tree. It broke down complete while it was on it's way to the city. It is a property of a university Professor of Political science. In fact, the Professor was among the three men who were pushing the car.
Then, my reflection moved to the circumstances around the Professor. How much is the monthly salary of a Professor and other related allowances as are accrued to them in the midst of plenty. In fact, there monthly take home is meagre and is better imagined than experienced.
Is there Prices determined by the market mechanisms of demand and supply or by an authocratic Fiat of the government, thus what must be done to effect justice on this serious matter.
I would want the public in this forum to contribute.
Don't get it wrong OP, Most professor's and academicians are paid handsomely, for the fact that you saw an old car of a professor been pushed doesn't mean he doesn't have a newer car at home or cannot afford a newer car. Don't forget that intellectuals don't always give value to materialism, they tend to leave a very modest lifestyle. To you it might seem that their basic salary is small, but don't forget that they are entitled to allowances another incentives and grants that allows them to afford the basics life can give.

Because from your semantics and story narration, it seems you want to compare professors to business owners and large investors with millions of dollars in The society which to me is incomparable, Because a professor renders service to the society and is paid by the government, The university that the profession is lecturing is not owned by him.

486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: March 18, 2024, 03:03:56 PM
I think right now Manchester City is a stronger squad compared to Real Madrid. And I absolutely agree about Manchester City being more ready. Manchester City has been facing hard opponents throughout the whole season. And how many hard opponents do Real Madrid face? Barcelona?
And at this point, I don't think Atletico Madrid is on the same level as Real Madrid. Some people will say that Girona will also cause problems. But I think if I remember correctly Girona was never able to give Real Madrid big competition head to head.

So Real Madrid is definitely not going to be as prepared to face Manchester City as Manchester City will be to face Real Madrid.

I also think the same. Manchester City have a player like Erling Haaland on the front before anything else.  Smiley  I know Haaland can be really ineffective from time to time and this is more commonly seen in big games. The Liverpool game they played recently can be considered as an example. Another example is his performance as of the semi finals phase in the Champions League last season.

However Haaland is still a beast and a goal machine. Real Madrid don't have that kind of a player in the attacking line but it is still up to their team performance on one hand. I don't think we will watch an easy matchup for any of these teams this time.

Real Madrid prepared to face City? That is not going to happen.Real was destroyed 4-0 last year when they were playing much better than what I saw against Leipzig during this season, that was the most ugly football I have ever seen in my life and trust me I have seen more than 25 years of football, never I have seen such a boring game like that of Real Madrid against a team like Leipzig which is nowhere near the power of Manchester City.

Real for me is out 101% and they don't stand a single chance against City with that type of football that they have showed so far in the Champions League,if the odds will be good for City when playing away I am going to bet an extensive amount as I am sure they will beat Real at Bernabeu too.
For me it is a game of chance, it is 50-50, either of them can win it and progress to the next round, but it all depends on the team that is capable of creating and also converting these chances, they are both playing well in their domestic leagues respectively so I don't think anyone of them is inferior to the other or superior, all I see is a very interesting yet fierce contest between two of Europe's finest elite clubs, perhaps the winner of this tie may turn out to be the winner of this year's edition. And I also want to emphasize that it won't be easier for Manchester city as it was for them last season when both clubs met in the semi final stage.
487  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: March 18, 2024, 02:45:19 PM
We have been seeing improvements in Barcelona for a few weeks. I do not expect them to beat Atletico Madrid so easily, but they were very good and did not play a great match. An important moment in the match was when Xavi was suspended due to his objections. This was an important moment.

Even if Barcelona was ahead, the players could have been affected by this situation, but that was not the case at all, on the contrary, they scored two more goals and Barcelona beat Atletico Madrid 3-0 today. Barcelona's young players show a lot of promise: Yamal and Pau Cubarsi
Yes there have been great improvements in this Barca team for some time now and also a great deal of consistency in the way they have been playing and also grabbing points both at home and on the road which has also made them formidable as a team. But on the side athletico Madrid, I still can't stop wondering how they managed to oust inter Milan from the UCL with the kind of performance they put out there yesterday, against inter Milan they came all out, they took control, they show intensity as well as character until they got themselves back into the game but against Barcelona they played like a youth team, they couldn't even get a consolation goal, in my opinion i think this is one of their worst performance this season.
488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: March 18, 2024, 02:05:45 PM
This is the most exciting match this week in my opinion. The two teams exchanged attacks and the two coaches also battled strategies. Man United made an epic comeback twice, and in the 71+ minute both coaches made substitutions and both teams produced results, Jurgen Klopp's substitution was successful, while two of Ten Hag's three substitutions determined the final result 4-3 for Man United .

I think this is Man United's best game this season. If you start the season by playing with enthusiasm and never giving up like this, maybe the ranking in the EPL league will be different, not like now the ranking will be different. However, Man United's opportunity to compete in the top four is still wide open if they present games like this again in the remainder of this season.

I'm almost sure that Manchester United have no chance of rising to the top 4, of course I could be wrong, but Tottenham and Aston Villa will not allow them to do this. By the way, Aston Villa could take advantage of Tottenham's loss in this round, but unfortunately only a draw with West Ham. I don’t know about the best game this season, their attack played quite well, but I would rather point out that Liverpool’s defensive game was not the best, they conceded too much and this was the reason for their loss.
Well I think it was perseverance, decisiveness and shear luck that separated Manchester United from Liverpool in that game, Liverpool had control of that match until they lost control of it all and Manchester United began to take advantage of Liverpool's weaknesses, exploring all the loopholes left behind by Jürgen klopp's substitutes as they couldn't withstand the pressure from Manchester United's frontliners who did a good job by bringing Manchester United back into the game and eventually winning it for the red devils with that wonderful strike from dialo.
489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever done something crazy to bet? on: March 18, 2024, 11:03:06 AM
Hi community,

I remember when I was in middle school, we used to play cards almost every day, and our stupidity reached the point where we would skip classes while we were inside school. The method of playing was easy, as the largest number was the winning card. So, some of my friends and I would gather in the middle school bathroom and make bets with the money that we had collected  from selling cigarettes.
Of course, this is not something I am proud of and I do not recommend it to everyone, but it's just childhood memories .

-Have you ever bet at the wrong place and the wrong time?
I remember playing card games while I was little, but I never played gamble with it. As a matter of fact, I only started gambling mainly on football predictions. Any other gamble outside of football never really took my attention or I was never involved in it, but however as a child I know I played some card games.
But in answering your question about doing something crazy to bet, specifically I've seen a lot of people do crazy stuff like using their mobile phone to bet, pulling of their clothes to stake on a game and they lost out, going home with bare body and few others I can't remember.
490  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Politicians and false humility on: March 16, 2024, 04:54:55 PM
Politician turn out to be the most humble people on earth when they are looking for power. They make all source of fake promises to solicite the support of the people but when they succeed after election they will start to see themselves like God betraying all the people that sacrifice everything to ensure they are in power.
Politicians are suppose to replicate the humility they exhibit during campaign after winning election but instead they became so rude and arrogant to their supporters.
This is the reason why we need strong institutions to hold politicians  accountable during and when they are out of office.
It is normal for them to sweet mouth the citizens about their lofty plants on how they will develop the society and other economic policies they will bring after being elected. But trust me, if there are weak institutions, like the judiciary, those in the houses of Congress and representative for checks and balances, the police etc, are not strong a enough to call the elected officials to order, definitely they will misbehave while in office.
491  Economy / Economics / Re: Digital Bank on: March 16, 2024, 03:34:22 PM
Anyone who is familiar with digital bank?  All I know is that, unlike traditional bank, they do not have the bank building hence saving them from all costs related to it.  In my country, they are offering higher interest rates returns compare to their traditional bank counterpart.  Anyone knows the reason why they can do that?  Also, what is the pros and cons of using digital bank instead of traditional bank?

I don't know for your country but in my country, digital Banks offer low interest rate returns compared to the traditional banks, and the reason why they do that is because they have low operational cost and more money in their coffers, unlike the traditional banks that runs high operational cost, because they have their branches spread around the country with staffs working everyday day.

In terms of the pros and cons of using digital Banking. I think one of the disadvantage of a digital Bank is the absence of physical office in most locations, so if you have any issues with your account, you have to get across their customer service, which most time don't respond on time. I believe most digital Banks are not allowed to receive tax payment in my country, they are not allowed to operate or open business and cooperation account for any customer.
492  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: The need to learn a high paying skill on: March 16, 2024, 02:45:17 PM
Good morning my country people, today I wan talk about skills wey fit change our life, because education alone is just not enough if you must succeed, you know say you don't have to go to school to be successful, but need to go to school to be enlightened.

See eh, the way tins dy go, even as a graduate, if you no get high paying hand work or skill, e no go easy for you, regardless of ur educational background, so e dy  important say if we want live well for this naija wey we dy, try your possible best to learn a high paying skill like trading, coding, web designing, online marketing skill,  learn how to sell, you fit no be the richest, but I believe say if you dy good in any of them, poverty no go knock your door, make ona reason am.
The importance of having a formal education cannot be over emphasize, an educated society is a society that has already been employed, whatever each individual wants to do with that empowerment is up to him or her.
We shouldn't play down the importance of formal education because of the deformity we have in our Nigerian society, education teaches you how to be an entrepreneur, it teaches you the ability to pass on intellectual knowledge to the next generation,  we shouldn't forget the slogan that says, education is the bedrock of any society. We are neglecting the core fundamental application of education to a society, that is why we are here today as a country going through complex issues.

Informal education is what your trying to tell us OP, which is also Incorporated into a society with formal education because both of them go in paribasu. however you cannot run a society based on informal education only, whatever skill, knowledge and empowerment that you need is all captured in format education.

Just imagine somebody asking a medical doctor to go and learn another skill after spending seven years in the university studying, because there are no job opportunities to absorb the person. that is an absurdity of a dysfunctional society and if not addressed even the informal sector will be affected in a long run.

493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: March 16, 2024, 11:49:33 AM
The competition for the title becomes more interesting because the point gap among 3 teams is very small. Even, the total points of Liverpool and Arsenal are the same. Meanwhile Man City only has 1 point difference with Liverpool and Arsenal. This will be a tough competition until the end of the season.

https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11661/13070548/liverpool-arsenal-or-man-city-three-way-premier-league-title-race-analysed
The three tactical managers are honing their sharpness in fighting for first position in the Premier League. Whether or not Arsenal is able to maintain its position at the top of the standings is not so easy because the two clubs are really strong in getting points, at least in my opinion Arsenal and Mikel Arteta can maintain the stamina of their players.  and can be more consistent in every match he plays, if he doesn't want Arsenal to be eliminated from the top of the Premier League because the end of the season will end, even though it is very difficult with the points not being that far apart, the distance between the three of them is very close, so that's what Arsenal has to be careful of.  .
I agree with you,  tactical Mikel Arteta hasn't been doing bad, stamina at this point is what Arsenal players need,  because I noticed they don't have consistency when they are top position of the league, I believe they do have some level of tiredness or fatigue which makes them drop points, it happened last season, mikel Arteta needs to work on that with his players. The arsenal game against Chelsea has been postponed, however that game is a very big decider as to wether arsenal will still maintain that top position. Because I know that Chelsea will come out to play with everything they have, just the way they did in their encounter with Manchester city where they played 1-1.
494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: March 15, 2024, 06:57:09 PM
The draw for the double legged quaterfinals of UEFA champions league is out and here are my predictions.

Atletico Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund
Two of the weakest team in the quaterfinals. Anyone playing against the winner of them in semis would be lucky. Of the two, Atletico Madrid have a better chance to qualify.

PSG vs Barcelona
A recurring and popular match in Champions league quarterfinals. Barcelona is better on head to head but this time PSG is the better team.

Arsenal vs Bayren Munich
This is a hard one to predict. They have been quite different from the last time they met. I'll bet on Bayren Munich as German playing style dominates over English.

Real Madrid vs Manchester City
This one too is going to be a great game. Again I believe the physical playing style of Real Madrid and their legacy on champions league would favor them over Manchester City,
I think I like the draws because everybody met his match, the weakest against the weakest and the strongest against the strongest.
It's a fair draw for me. The teams that have survived up to these point, have really maintained perseverance and consistency in their winning especially atletico Madrid because they are one team I didn't expect would get to these stage of the competition.

Real Madrid Vs Manchester City and Arsenal Bayern Munich are the highlights of these quarter finals stage, as they are currently the strongest teams in the competition at the moment, however i am not not disparaging the other teams because this is the game of football anything can happen, especially at these stage.
495  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: March 15, 2024, 04:20:49 PM
Investing in DCA method is a method of maximum savings, it is proven that the person who invests in this method has achieved great success. Because if the price of Bitcoin increases even if he invests regularly, the method controls the average price ratio. And while the price of Bitcoin is low, the average price controls two. So in whatever way you think this DCA method is the best, the more long-term Bitcoin holders there are, the more nearly everyone has had success using this method.
I don't think there is any method of buying bitcoin that is best for everyone, what may be the best for you may not be suitable for another person. So you see, the method any individual uses to make his bitcoin purchase does not really matter and depend on his/her preferences and what really matter is what the investors do with the bitcoin in terms of preserving and protecting it to derive the best value from it. I can decided to use the DCA method to buy while another person use lump sum, in the end we both have bitcoin in our possession and as long as we plan to hold our portfolio and not sell under pressure or when we do not plan to sell, then we both will be achieving equivalent results.

The DCA method seems to be favorable to many investors simply because it is easy to apply and can make one easily develop the right discipline needed to hold bitcoin for long term. By this I mean, those applying the DCA method seems to think more of long term plan rather than just buying low to sell high. The DCA method is a process of its own that requires patience to follow, this is why many people using it tend to achieve good results.

I disagree with you here, the DCA method is the best when it comes to acquiring Bitcoin and the rewards you get long term, because the lumps sum method you mentioned is only waiting for the market to deep before he thinks of buying, and most times you might miss and opportunity to buy at a lower price, because you thought it's going to go deeper.
I do not know what you mean by the best because everyone uses method that is convenient and suits their purpose. If you say that the DCA method is the best, are you saying that investors like MicroStrategy and other whales that do not use the DCA method are not doing it correctly? Many of us are aspiring to be like them, buying bitcoin when others are afraid and being skeptical, and holding for long term. That is the ultimate goal. The method of buying should not be the borne of contention rather how best we can manage the assets so acquired to be able to be proud of our decisions and actions in the future without any form of regrets.
Maybe I think he is talking about your ability to purchase in the little way you can Which the DCA method allows you to, because you might not have the financial strength to purchase in lump sum.

In as much as investors should go for strategy that best suits them especially on their financial status, the DCA method has a way of strategizing your purchasing plan for long period, it has been a lay down procedure that a lot of people have been using because of its advantageous side. Don't forget that this is a volatile market, so you need strategy to survive it, so knowing when to buy and how to buy plays a big role. I understand your point about managing your assets, but I believe we should count one before two. You can only manage assets that you r acquired, however the process of acquisition for a lot of investors should be taking into cognizance.
496  Economy / Speculation / Re: Every moments of bitcoin value is appreciable for investors on: March 15, 2024, 03:36:11 PM
While some short term goal investors are feeling disappointed in the Crytop currency market since few days now after the value of bitcoin has depreciated from $72,000 to $67,000 as at today, investors who're on the DCA purchasing method are taking chances of the fallen values to accumulate more to their holdings While there had been investors buying even when the value has surpasses the previous ATH because they believe that it's just a symbol that more values would be added to the market to appreciate their assets.

Who's it that says bitcoin has a specific period of purchasing it bitcoin? You should change that awkward thought and get your coins at when you can for bitcoin would always hold the best for you in the nearest future.
There isn't a specific period to purchasing Bitcoin, however for long term investors, it's most appropriate you buy during the bearish period so you can accumulate as much as you can afford because the price might be low using the DCA Method and you should be patient enough to hold.

However I think the best method for short term investors who are financially stable, should be lump-sum method, because since they are not holding for too long, once they hit a certain profit margin during the bullish period, they should just take their profit.
A Bitcoin investor shouldn't be disappointed because of a few drop in price, because we all know that the depreciate from $72000 to $67000 it's just temporary, because people are investing heavily with the projection of Bitcoin reaching $100k.
497  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: If you can't Invest in Bitcoin, buy assets on: March 14, 2024, 02:23:53 PM
When you go to the market to discover that a material that was sold for 50k last three months is now valued at 120k, what comes to your mind? The normal thing is to shout and point accusing fingers at our leaders and how bad the economy has become but do you know that you've walked into an investment opportunity and never knew or saw it?

If you're a good business person that knows how to read the times and study the market, there is so much you can make out of this consistent increase in the price of major goods in this country.

In this country, any real asset you buy today will be at least five times it current value in the next five years and if you think I'm wrong you can take yourself five years backwards and look at the prices of so many common stuffs like roofing zincs, cement, phones, all building material, lands and even normal vehicles.

As we set out part of our resource into Bitcoin investments, let's not close our eyes to the bounty opportunity that's available for us  to possibly invest into that will certainly yield a good amount of profit for us in five or ten years to come.

OP from what you said, I was thinking you would give specifics on what you mean by, "there is so much we can make out of the consistent increase in the prices of major goods" I was waiting to see the kind of analysis that you will give that will either justify the overbearing inflation we are currently witnessing and the opportunities that comes with it, but I didn't see any of such.

What your analysis is consistent double figure increase on good's and services in the next five years, believe you me when that time comes the value to which your expecting will drop because inflation might have eaten deep into your capital and leaving you with a small profit margin.  The truth is that, inflation does no one any good if you think you're an opportunist with the aim to make profit from it.

Incredible what is happening this season there.
I was sure about a win for Guardiola but now anything can happen.
My heart says Klopp will win for a wonderful farewell to Liverpool.
My brain says, Guardiola will win they are the strongest team.
My hype says, Arsenal will win for a WTF moment.
Guardiola have 2 strong competitors now, it won't be easy to win it. I think Klopp will have the biggest chance to win EPL trophy and he gets a great farewell. I'm not sure of Arteta will win the EPL trophy. We know Arsenal often makes a mistake in 2nd half of the season. I doubt if Arsenal can win against Man City in the next match. If Arsenal can beat Man City in the next match, I think Liverpool and Arsenal will be the strongest candidate for the EPL champion this season.

Sorry, I don't expect Man City to win again EPL trophy this season. Man City may be the strongest team but they don't really perform well in the last few matches. Your brain can say Man City as the strongest candidate but my brain assumes Liverpool will be the strongest candidate. Sure, this is only our own perception!  Grin

goal.com

For me, I think it's a three horse race and seemingly a game of chance for these 3 teams in question. If any one these 3 either Liverpool, arsenal or Manchester city can maintain a winning streak in all of their remaining fixtures respectively then that team might lift the trophy, it's still open for any one of them so it's left for either of them to decide, left for I would tip Liverpool to lift the trophy because of the level of concentration and composure they have at the moment taking one match at a time, though Manchester city are also at that level too but i will give it to them.

Zinedine Zidane could be the right man for this Juventus but in my opinion it's a marriage that will never happen, strangely enough a coach who also managed to win 3 Champions League and many other national and international trophies finds himself without a team to coach. All this is very strange, but at Juventus I would see him well as a coach.

Zinedine Zidane has a really interesting manager career.  Cheesy  He managed only Real Madrid but he achieved really important achievements also. Winning the CL title 3 times in a row deserves the respect definitely! However he had a squad full of very skilled players too. Even Ronaldo was there those times. I would really like to see what he can do with a lower-tier squad.  Smiley

Juventus are one of those teams I guess. It could be a really tough challenge for Juventus - especially while the Serie A isn't under Juventus domination anymore.  Wink

But truthfully I don't think he would think of going there. As far as I know he only wants to manage French national team now.
I totally agree with you on this, Zinedine Zidane is an exceptional coach with an extraordinary career with lots of laurels to show though he hasn't managed any other outfit apart from Real Madrid which many would love to see how he might cope with a team other than Madrid or from a different league entirely which I have no doubt that Zinedine Zidane will do extremely well as he has done with real Madrid in the past before he took a break from coaching, though he has had several offers from many big European clubs but he is yet to take a decision on getting back to coaching job.

Damn! Depay gave them the chance to go for a shootout but Oblak is definitely the Hero of the night for Atletico Madrid. This is a great night for their fans.
Tough loss to Inter but they brought it upon themselves for being the "passive" team in this encounter.

What a thrilling end to the round of 16 and looking forward to the draw.
Depay's 87th-minute goal for Athletico Madrid was enough to send Athletico Madrid and Inter Milan to a penalty shootout in their UEFA Champions League last-16 match yesterday night. Martinez missed Inter Milan's last penalty to help Athletico Madrid qualify for the quarterfinal of the UEFA Champions League competition.

truly an amazing match. it was difficult for Inter to win and maintain their lead in the first leg. Of course, getting a win at Atletico's home ground is not easy.
but it was an extraordinary match, even though in the end Inter had to admit Atletico's superiority. both teams played with full strength, and although I lost my bet, I have no regrets about this extraordinary match.
Indeed it was a great and unforgettable night for athletico Madrid after beating inter Milan 2-1 in regulation time to balance the aggregate and also extend the match to extra time. Athletico Madrid seemed like the underdog in this match haven lost the first leg to inter in Milan a couple of weeks ago and everything seemed as if it was going the way of the Italian side until Diego simeone's boys took the lead and forced the Italian side to a penalty shootout  where they finally won by penalties and went through to the next round. For me this week came with a lot of drama, because arsenal had the same situation with Porto.
