481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 22, 2023, 10:20:07 PM

The second half was actually a struggle for Aston villa and Sheffield had gotten a goal already which they are defending at all cost not wanting to comceed another goal, this is why earlier I did mention to some one that position on the table isn't a perfect criteria to be sure about a team winning or loosing a match. Sometimes a team can be at the bottom just like Sheffield a d win, similar thing happened in the Italian league a team at the bottom drew to a team close to the top.

Sheffield United managed to get a draw a way at the Villa Park which has become like fortress where many teams in the Premier league even the top ones have failed to take points away from. Before the match Sheffield had only managed to win two games and then draw same number of them. Many people have predicted the Sheffield United not winning the game and a big deficit win for the Emery Boys. Sheffield could have won the game but seriously Aston Villa showed resilience and at the end they got a vital one point. That is how league football works, out of form teams could actually cause problems to any of the top teams in that league
482  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is merit necessary for my survival here on: December 22, 2023, 09:58:04 PM
No merit is not necessarily for you to secure your account, keeping your password save and not breaking the forum rules is what is necessary to protect or secure your account from either been banned or hacked.

It is not a must to have merit, merit is just one of those criteria’s needed to grow your account to different ranks, but account ranks also isn’t so important if you aren’t after it you can simply just learn a two or thing that brought you here and leave it. But if you need to engage in contests or signature campaigns you need rank.

To grow in rank you just need to either create good and educative threads, or reply posts with knowledgeable answers
483  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin losing its P2P efficiency!! on: December 22, 2023, 09:51:26 PM

Yes, you're right, it's happening unfortunately because of ordinals and similar token spam. Some signature campaign managers are migrating to LTC or USDT because the network has now stalled completely. 100+sat/byte transactions are sitting in mempool for days. I simply can't believe it. Bitcoin has become unusable.

As it stands now we can all blame ordinals because it is them that consist mainly of this transaction and most started paying higher transaction fees to try beat every other transaction to the next block. The question is should devs be looking at finding a specific solution to only this Ordinals to avoid filling the blockchain? Wouldn’t that be a censorship which is against bitcoin decentralization protocol?

Also shouldn’t we be looking beyond ordinals and assume they are like the much expected adoption we have been clamoring for? Should it come wouldn’t the mempool be congested as this?

Another feature we need is the forum notification feature. Thanks theymos and PowerGlove.

Do we really need that notification feature considering that we get email notifications for new messages on the forum and also to follow posts or Threads on can actually use the watchlist option or better still go for the telegram notifications by TryNinja or if you’re not on telegram there is that of LoyceV also here. Although this one’s aren’t for the direct forum but would do for now
485  Economy / Speculation / Re: What are we expecting between now and Bitcoin halving? on: December 21, 2023, 10:19:20 PM
History repeats itself and that’s why many are bullish with Bitcoin right now and they are prepared to see the new ATH with Bitcoin. It’s not too late yet to accumulate and I know Bitcoin will be more expensive as the months goes by. The halving will be the biggest reason for the next bull run and no one can stop it, though right now we are seeing FOMO because of the news about ETF, but corrections are still possible so wait for the right time to buy more.

There is a saying that not all the time do History gets to repeat its self but not with bitcoin. The bitcoin Market is moving gradually towards the the ATH that I think we might even beat that faster than previous bull runs. The reason for this is as you have pointed out which is the FOMO. The ETF approval of gotten next year will inspire the market bullish period and we could beat the ATH next year instead of the past trend of it happening one year after the halving period. But as we look at the positive side of the market let’s also anticipate the bearish trend too, I feel this can only come at this time if the bitcoin market is met with a negative news like hack or collapse of a top exchange. Another could be if the ETF doesn’t get approved then we might definitely see a. Market correction
486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 21, 2023, 10:03:42 PM

I don't know the issue with Manchester United, Rapheal Varane bid a god damn great player but they have choose to let him go. Anyways, if itsnfor the betterment of the club then they can leave.
I already said it above, they don't need stress, he just need terminate his contract with Manchester United and move to the best club in the World.

All of Real Madrid fans would be damn excited to see him returning. Bayern Munich are also linked to replace Benjamin Pavard who left for Inter Milan this season. Who wouldn't ne happy to see him back? Four times Champions League winner and ome time world cup winner.

No one is going to say that Varane isn’t good, at the top of his game all current Manchester United center backs will have to lace his boots but the problem remains that man can’t stay fit. Last season he got into the team and was the backbone of it, but this season Harry Maguire is definitely having a better season than him and Eric Ten Hag as a manager doesn’t wants to pair them both because they are both right footed defenders and Ten Hag wants a partnership that use the other foot and that’s why the likes of Lindelof and Evans gets into the team ahead of him as Martinez is injured. The only way he can play is by dropping Maguire for him and that will be unfair to Harry Maguire who has been in a sublime form This season. Varane as a top player is not happy with the reduce minutes and that’s why he wants out.

Real Madrid were the first club to let him go so it shouldn’t be like Manchester United aren’t doing the right thing of letting him go, he might be good but you can get another player that will do the work for you
487  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 21, 2023, 09:52:08 PM
I think it is still very early to be sure about Manchester City's capabilities this season honestly. Because there were times in which Manchester City had worse days but still won the Premier League title. Therefore we never know what the second part of the season will bring to us. But I hope Manchester City don't manage to win the title again.

Because I'm really bored of seeing them becoming champions nearly all the time for many years. Liverpool broke their streak once and now let's see whether a team will manage to do this again. Maybe it would be Liverpool again or Arsenal. I don't think Aston Villa will win the title but they are still amazing.

I also do not want to see Manchester City winning it, they are currently on a streak of three consecutive wins and no other premier league club has broken the record or making it four times in a row as such I don’t want them breaking that record just yet. But with the performances of each team this season many will say they won’t get the chance to do it but I wouldn’t rule them out because they aren’t far from the top with most of their keys missing out through injury. The first name that comes to my mind is De Bruyne he is always at the front of their success but this season he has managed to play just 20 minutes, with him currently back on the field should he start playing again I think City will start causing problems to the other teams. But before then I wouldn’t rule them out just yet.
488  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Advise: Too much customers equals much problems to contend with. on: December 20, 2023, 10:13:52 PM

My question is this, do you think that the influx of more users or customers to the BTC network or Crypto currency network would crash the system or help it grow more?

Bitcoin network can definitely handle any number of users but the major problem is the scalability when transactions are made, with the size of block been 1MB (4 MB due to SegWit transactions protocol), they will be network congestion like we are seeing currently which causes high fees. But apart from this I don’t think any problem like that with traditional banking systems were the main server issue affects all transactions will cause a problem to bitcoin because it doesn’t have a central server.

I think you are forgetting Aston Villa who has been impressive since the start of the season. Don't write them off, they won both Manchester City and Arsenal within two weeks and you think they are not dangerous or to be considered as a contender for the league? As for Manchester City they will rediscover their form very soon am sure of this.

Aston Villa have seriously been a team to beat not just this season but since Unai Emry took charge the clubs in the form. The likes of Diaby, Pau Torres and lots of other players have actually had a great impact to the club. But i wouldn’t just put them up just yet in the league contenders list because the players still lack the character to go far. Last season towards the end of the season Arsenal threw away the league to Manchester city because of this lack or character after some players suffered injuries. Aston Villa are a working team and a legUe pursuit now will only Cause them problems but rathe they should just focus on how to make the champions league qualification next season and then build on it from there
490  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 20, 2023, 09:03:10 PM
Mauro Icardi was failed in PSG but when he was moved to Galatasaray Icardi was found his shape again and last season he was scores 22 from 24 matches in Turkish Super league and this season too Icardi still able to managed his consistency to scores goals because from 15 matches so far Icardi was able to scores 12 goals and maybe these records makes Real Madrid tempting to gets him because after Benzema leave last summer Real Madrid don't have good striker as the replacement of Benzema so if this rumours is true maybe Icardi will be suitable as their main striker

But in my opinion the injured of Alaba makes Real Madrid have not much options for centre defender so probably this makes Ancelotti asking to Real Madrid management to give the priority buy new defender this january and i think this is more important rather than to buy new striker because for forward lines basically they have no problem because they still have Bellingham or Rodrygo who recently performing well

Mauro icardi had not a splendid time at PSG but I wouldn’t say it was bad but rather he didn’t have much time to showcase his skills. This was because of The trio of Messi, Neymar and Mbappe that were in the team. The French champions wanted to fit in this trio into the same and that means they weren’t enough space to accommodate the likes or Icardi and Dimaria. It is also due to the lasting problems that he has with Messi that kept him away from the team same way he hasn’t made Argentina squad since their fight.

Icardi is still a prolific striker that can play at a top club and still deliver, he has shown that already during this time with Galatasaray and a move to Madrid will be great for both parties because Madrid already has no other out and out center striker apart from Joselu and he hasn’t met most fan’s satisfaction. We can say they don’t need him since the Likes of Bellingham are banging in goal, but that could dry up anytime soon and they will need a striker if that happens.

As for a new defender I think they can do with a loan player this coming winter transfer prior to when the injured players will be back
491  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 19, 2023, 09:18:35 PM
Dyche's arrival actually gave a breath of fresh air compared to some of their previous coaches although it is possible they still cannot return to the mid-table but at least at this time they are still quite good in terms of performance and now they just have to be able to continue to be consistent to continue to rise from the downturn of reducing points.
Currently 4 consecutive wins even with tough opponents like Newcastle and Chelsea it is a separate motivation for them so now their job is only to continue to maintain momentum so that this situation does not break which results in their performance faltering.

Since Sean Dyche arrival Everton has been one of the best mid table teams in the league. The point deduction might be too harsh but they certainly are benefiting from it, had it been last season when they were battling relegation it would have been worse. This season the punishment came early and they have taken advantage of it. Since the point reduction was passed Everton have only lost one game which was against Manchester United and have won four consecutively, I think they will survive the fall as I don’t see the three teams that just got promoted surviving this fall.

Well what Manchester united are currently facing now is not a new thing at all because most big teams in English premier league have a couple of stories to tell themselves because I can remember vividly the days when Liverpool were also passing through such times and not only Newcastle but arsenal and Chelsea too have had their own fair share of bad and poor days but yet they all found a way out of it and I also think united case wouldn't be any different because I think a saviour will come and lift them out and I believe its just a matter of time factor.

This is so true, every club has its peak and lows, Manchester United are currently on their lows but they will only bounce back if they change the owner completely and not a share sale. A new breath of owner will effect new changes that the club would definitely need. I don’t believe that there is another coach that will work wonders here if the hierarchy isn’t twerk then it will be same old story

Gallagher isn't the best player that Chelsea have in this season, there's no reason to keep Gallagher since they already have Palmer and Nkunku, so having Gallagher is just make Chelsea to spend additional money.

This should be a though decision for Chelsea, but they must to sell their players because they currently have a lot players at the moment.

If Gallagher isn’t the best player that Chelsea have this season who then is the best player? Gallagher has by far been the best player in the squad considering how much both Caicedo and Fernandez costs. He has been played mostly out of position this season, as lone DM, and also a Box to Box midfielder and in both he has excelled. He is one of the Chelsea players that have won more tackles, interceptions and more aerial duels in the premier league. He has Also had the most attempted and completed pass among his teammates and he leads the team with the number of chances created.

This are all his stats and they don’t lie, the only thing you won’t find there is goals and assists and that is not necessarily the work of central midfielders, Chelsea are just looking to selling him because they don’t have a choice as his contract expires 2025 and he is yet to sign a new long term one
493  Economy / Reputation / Re: First week on BTT on: December 19, 2023, 08:33:09 PM
How is this total number of logins being calculated? Is it by the number of times one logged in in a day or by the number of seconds X by minutes that one is not just logged in on the forum but by the number of times they are active on the forum? I mean, being logged in and also posting on the forum or just reading through the forum will add to the number of times one has been active.

I just need some clarification on how this timing is being calculated.

It is the Time you spent actively on the forum. Even if yuh actually bookmark it and turn on your data it won’t count, that’s why whenever you come you come to a thread you still have to refresh it for new feeds which shows that even bookmarking the page doesn’t count.

If you want to calculate the number of days has been on the forum since day one from the date of registration to now but that won’t be accurate because you don’t always come online every day
494  Economy / Reputation / Re: First week on BTT on: December 19, 2023, 08:22:28 PM
This post should be on the reputation board and not here on Meta. You can also use this thread to announce any achievements that makes you happy

Congratulations on the achievement though, this simply mean you have spent 168 hours being active on the forum, it is quite a good start. Consider moving the thread or locking it and post on the link above
495  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the transaction fee will high if I send small amount under $50 on: December 19, 2023, 08:19:43 PM

I also thinking same but practically when I use safepal wallet (not recommended) there is dramatically a fee difference for different btc value. When I click on maximum btc(57$) ,the fee shows 11.86$ and with same network fee when I want to send 50$ then I have to pay 15$ fee.

What do you think it is wallet issues or something I have not learned yet?

It is not wallet issue, but the protocol. Bitcoin fees are calculated base on transaction size and that is why you see that even fee estimation platform put fee rate and not the exact fee to be paid because it varies. The number of input of output is what the fee rate is calculated against. For example the second transaction with $50 still has a change remain so the output will be the address you are sending the $50 to another address then the change goes to any of the change address making it 1 input and two output and that’s why there is difference in price to be paid.

This kind of cases is why it’s advisable to consolidate your little inputs into one when the fee rate is extremely low so that when you try to send you will have a single input and then would pay less than having multiple inputs
496  Other / Meta / Re: BRC20 tokens are altcoins on: December 19, 2023, 07:24:54 AM
Or will bitcoin tokens be given a separate board for discussion because they are bitcoin tokens?

I don’t think it is necessary, that’s like creating something that’s not really suppose to be created. Once it’s not bitcoin it is an alternative coin and should be treated as such. Creating a separate board will most likely make it look somehow special, are they? No. If a direct bitcoin fork like bitcoin cash is treated as alternative currency then also should it’s tokens be treated
497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 18, 2023, 10:41:45 PM

I think if a new coach joins and starts building from now it will be better. Manchester United are out of the Champions League, and they are in 7th position in the Premier League. I don't think they can achieve anything this season. The maximum that they can achieve is to book themselves a spot in the Europa League for next season if they continue under Ten Hag. A new coach can also join and would probably have the same result. If they start building the team from now, it will be better and they can deliver it better from the start of next season.

Manchester United are 6 points off the Top four with 21 games left to play, so I wouldn’t rule them out just yet, they can simply get there season back and still qualify but not with the current form, so things have to definitely change. I see your suggestion is a changing the manager which is common in football when a team is facing problems, but I will disagree with this one. Manchester United have changed manager since Sir Alex left the club for almost five times now and are still struggling. The first season the coach arrives he performs and gives the fans hope and the next season the manager gets a bad season. I have analyzed this case and I will say it is mostly the board problem, the second season is meant for you to back your manager with signings but they don’t and instead sign players that suit them and not the managers pattern and that causes the manager to twerk his style of play and it affects the team.

I would say united need to keep Ten Hag even if it’s for at least a season and then sign his players and also get rid of those players that have been in the club for too long. A total rebuild must happen before the manger is talked about this time around
498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 18, 2023, 10:24:23 PM
[mTen Hag probably didn't expect to win the match, he only targets for a draw. That's why Man United play defensively in Anfield, they tried to minimize the chance for Liverpool players to score goals. However, applying this tactic is no longer popular in the modern football. It is because this tactic even makes the opponent to have many chances for shot attempts. It really happened in the match Liverpool vs Man United, Liverpool could make 34 shot attempts. Luckily, Man United could defense well, there are no goals in the match.

Well, if we look at the stats, it is true that Man United was like a small team in EPL. It is a bit shameful that a big team like Man United applied a defensive tactic in the match.

Yes Manchester United did apply a defensive tactics against Liverpool, but i don’t see that to be disgraceful if you ask me. They we’re scenarios were you analyze matches me and then you look at how strong your team is and then make a tactical plan on that. Manchester United has never won at Anfield since 2018 and the last time they played there was an humiliating 7-0 defeats. This season again Liverpool hasn’t lost a match at their home, so I don’t see it that way. This draw will moralize the team to build on it. Had they lost bad again as you all predicted I think it will be good for their season. Even this so called Liverpool were once parking the bus against United when united were ruling the land
499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which type of gambling have more gambling addicts ? on: December 18, 2023, 10:02:55 PM
I find it hard to believe that peeps are addicted to Virtual games - why? Cus why should you? Imagine wagering thousands and thousands and nothing shows up, and you keep wagering? What's the point of speculating when you don't even know the capabilities of each team, club or villain?

Sadly this virtual game is actually the most addictive game I have seen, you will see many people facing the monitor and wagering. You might find it stupid but I think that’s where  they make quick money from. In the space of five minutes this games are over, if it is the physical game it will take a lot of time and some aren’t after that.

OP I will say the most addictive game is that played online. You easily wager whenever you’re want to play, compare to other house game that you will have to travel Down to the place before anything

The equalizer was well deserved, everyone hoped for the best and they witnessed everything that happen. The visitors will be so happy to record draw points with City today, was not an easy game for them but they did everything to leveled points with Manchester City. Pep Guardiola is frustrated by the dissapointing results his team recorded against the eagles at Etihad Stadium. I've said this time without number, Manchester City doesn't sit in any prominent position to win Crystal Palace because they already messed up their golden opportunities of winning the match.

Crystal palace have always in the past be a Problem to Manchester city although city usually coughs out win but this particular one seems impossible. I will say the lack of quality back up on the substitute bench this season has actually affected Manchester city. An injury to their Talisman DeBruyne and goal Machine Halaand would affect them seriously because they do not have the caliber of players that could easily replace them.

This Pep’s first season struggling in the league after his first poor season when he arrived. I will say it is deserved even if doesn’t wins it because they also need to take a break after the scintillating season they had last season. I just hope the fans could beat with them and know that This bad form are actually part of the game.
