481  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin price speculation (BTC/NGN) on: March 01, 2024, 04:45:29 PM
Currently it shows that Bitcoin's price came down a bit from $63k to $61k but with the increase rate for the week I believe it will still find its way back up, and it might even hit the ATH next week at this increase rate. Wattin Bitcoin chop wey make am they grow like this? The thing just dey sweet me as I dey see the growth because na just profit full everywhere. I nor fit predict say Bitcoin go reach $150k as ATH now oo but I know say e dey very possible in time coming but for now, I just predict the range of 80k -100k even with the Bull run after the halving but if e increase pass like that na still to my favour.

483  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Government demanding from Binance the lists of its Nigerian users on: March 01, 2024, 04:24:45 PM
The only reason they are requesting for a list, to set up a mass arrest on those using the binance p2p, just as they did to the BDC. I believe they are taking this too far, and after all their actions, we Nigerians are the one to bear the consequences of their actions. If they're succeed with all the plans they have on ground, we won't be able to fully access p2p from any exchange because what they did to binance would make other exchange to cancel their p2p service, so it just a matter of time before other exchanges start closing up, I'm ashamed of this government.
484  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Diversification is the only solution now on: March 01, 2024, 04:17:27 PM
Thier is no need to write any long episode about this yearly occurrence happening in this country cause if it's not this problem another will find it way to us and in one way or the other, our financial life is always threatened.

Naira scarcity came and business people suffered and most of them went bankrupt. end sars, covid, and the whole luckdown saga rendered somany people in the transportation sector clueless because most of them where depending on that single area of income.

For those that have invested for long, the market is already bullish and some might have reached thier profit point and would have collected or thought of selling Thier holding maybe to reinvest it during the bearish period but I just want to say that considering the current reality, it's best we invest partly into an online asset and partly into a physical asset or business so in the event that we can't continue with our physical business on a temporary bases, we just face the online one and if the only one is facing de minor challenge as this, we face the physical business so we don't allow minor issues as this to always give us serious heart attach.

Before you even start to hold any cryptocurrency it's advised that you have a source of income either from your work or business, so you don't get stranded in your accumulation journey. So having a source of income is the first and most important thing because without that there is no holding, those into business are already in track while those into monthly or weekly work should also get themselves a small business in addition, no amount is sufficient enough to be satisfied with without searching for more.
485  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Law of gravity no de apply for di prices of goods inside Nigeria on: March 01, 2024, 04:06:58 PM
Actually if the value of the currency increase, the thing go sweet everybody, because the price of things go surely come down but e no go dey the same as the previous and main price, for now I believe say na because of say the naira still dey fluctuate naim make. Na the joy of every Nigerian to see the currency get value but with the way this Mr bayo dey handle things, e no go good at all, e just dey use em oil hand take clean white shirt. The consequence of this em actions na be say we no go fit access p2p for any exchange again, because the charge wey he gum binance go make every other exchange run, and the worse thing na be say na the biggest exchange e target do why the smaller ones no go fear, com commot Nigeria for their p2p?
486  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: BREAKING: Tinubu’s government slams $10 billion fine on Binance on: March 01, 2024, 03:58:25 PM
Now it's clear all the wicked  actions about crypto banning is fueled by Mr bayo I hope he realizes his mistake sooner than later because all the trading price in binance p2p were created by those using the service, and these persons are Nigerian. Ohh now I see the reason they were requesting for name of those using binance p2p, they deem them to also act as the BDC except that they aren't licensed by the CBN. So their real intentions at first is to get the names and then try tracking and arrest those p2p users. After all binance has passed through in the last few months in regards to their issue with the regulators, $10 billion fine is too much for binance. And they are indirectly sending signals to other exchanges to also stop their p2p because the fine is too much.
487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nowhere is safe part 2 on: March 01, 2024, 09:45:17 AM
it would be useless if we couldn't secure our wallet from hacking, this often happens because we are focused on price movements. On the other hand, various interesting link titles sometimes attract us to open them and follow the instructions and finally hacking occurs. Therefore, the most important thing is that we have to be careful of various modes that lead to hacking, because that is basic knowledge in investing

Sometimes we indirectly take security for granted by not being security conscious or learning new tricks by scammers or hackers. And of the best wey to defend yourself against scam or hack is when you learn how they operate, it will give you clue on how to avoid them. For example those sites that redirect you to another page, many of those site page are not secure this, it exposes you to hackers or scam. And with the current amount of persons who are desperate for airdrops, scammers have begin to use to medium to steal people's coin.
488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is it still risky to Invest into Altcoin now? on: February 29, 2024, 11:51:26 PM
Risk never ceases especially in altcoins when we are talking about cryptocurrency. There are some altcoins that were created as a test project, yet if the developers fail to write that down in their white paper, investors might start adopting the project seriously, and such instances always never ends well because, projects like that end up becoming shitcoins due to poor mentainance. Though there are also lots of good coins out there with great developers, but all what I'm saying is, you should be careful as altcoins investment, short term project to be precise are like gambling.
489  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria Government Detains Two Binance Executives on: February 29, 2024, 11:41:26 PM
Nigerian government is only active when they are supposed to be observing and when they are going to be observing, that's when they react. Now that they have arrest this two people and then there respective government ask Nigeria to release them, they don't have choice than to comply because one of them is from UK and the other is from Nigeria and where exactly have they broken the law. They came down to Nigeria to have a talk with the scrutiny of the NGN/USDT that the government is accusing them of manipulation only for them to be detained, that's nonsense.

The government is asking Binance to provide all the Nigerian kyc like they have a formal document that bind them, they never welcome Binance officially even though Binance has been compliance with KYC to avoid money laundering but the government are been shitty as if they are the only country that do crypto activity.

It's a pain in the eyes seeing how the Nigerian government take their actions all in the name of trying to restore the naira to a good shape. All what they have done is so stupid and I can't even imagine that such is coming from educated persons. First of all they had to deceive the binance officials and then detained them, as if that wasn't enough they are still asking for list of name of every Nigerian who has used their p2p before, what are their reason for this? Are they planning on imposing tax on binance users who are Nigerian?
490  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Roqqu disabled all trading/swapping of USDT with the Naira with immediate effect on: February 29, 2024, 05:33:47 AM
E no matter weda Dem no dey well know oo, our people say small fire fit burn down full forest. As them start na there the problem sef fit take start.
Na the same thing now e don go happen for Binance too. And that means the Op was right. And the way I see this matter eh. This exchanges dey walka hand in hand because as one stopped di naira peer to peer, other follow up though it is the government policy they all following. And now to sell bitcoin will be a big problem in the country because all the Centralized Exchanges will be disabling naira p2p so people will thinking alternative means to market their assets.

Omor the matter don cast oo, yesterday I Check my binance naim I see say their naira p2p don vanish. Like this the fire don really spread, my fear na be say make this thing no go affect other crypto exchanges oo. Like this now, e don dey too obvious say na our government naim don put hand for all this thing wey dey happen, I no fit believe say those illiterates don go create another problem instead of to solve the one wey dey ground. All these things wey Dem dey do na just temporary solutions and e no go last because, when once this stage don pass, dollar go still increase over the Naira.
491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The future of cryptocurrency. on: February 29, 2024, 05:22:11 AM
In my opinion, what I believe in cryptocurrency is that, in some couple of years from now maybe like a Decade the late investors would still address us now as those who bought at a cheaper price, so it's never too late to buy more and more  nonstop. The price of long-term project by that time would be very high so if you want to become part of that now is the time to start creating a beautiful portfolio.
492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trend or long term projects? on: February 28, 2024, 09:41:42 PM
There is no doubt that bitcoin investment proves that long term projects are fine to get benefit as it has gain the trust of its holders as well as other individuals who still have not hold any bitcoin. The bitcoin price has increases to the value of 61k$ but its not the end because it will show more enhancement.

We also cannot say that trending altcoins should be avoided because they are also very beneficial if we search for the details before investment. Majority of altcoins turns into shit coins but it doesn't mean that we will always trap into investment in shit coins but if we grasp the coins after detail evaluation then we can take benefit from trending coins too.

The rapid increase in the price of Bitcoin is a shock to many, even as we have predicted that it will beat the ATH, we didn't expect it to have a rapid increase like this. If Bitcoin keep up this movement, before the end of next week we'll arrive at a new ATH. If an investor choose to combine both Bitcoin and any short term project, then he'll probably make a good portfolio. That is if he does all the necessary things before choosing an altcoin for holding, and have like 80 percent of his investment in Bitcoin while he can diversify the remaining 20 if he wishes to.
493  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: February 28, 2024, 04:09:58 PM
To your last statement about keeping gambling activity a secret most especially for those who gamble on offline casinos, I might agree with your but not completely, for i believe that choosing to keep a thing secret or make it public is always in our hands, there is always a way to go about such a thing.
For example, if you like to gamble in offline casinos and still don't want anyone that knows you knowing that you gamble, all you have to do is choose a physical casino that is very far from the area where you live, and where any of your relatives live, you can go there anytime you want, spend the amount of time you want and then travel back home when done, it's as simple as that.

Even if the gambler playing in an offline casino decide to play gamble outside his vicinity, his gambling habits would still be know if he gets addicted, especially when he has a family. Gambling addiction take lots of time and money to fund, so when one gets addicted while he has a family, he'll probably keep late at night or come back home with stories about money to be used for other things, and that will definitely make his family to be curious of the main reason why such things have been happening, and If he still refuses to tell them the truth, they might even track him down to the casino hall one day.
494  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin price speculation (BTC/NGN) on: February 28, 2024, 03:39:20 PM

OH MY GOD😱

Bitcoin is so close to getting a new ATH. If it keep on increasing at this rate, it might beat the ATH before the end of next week. This is just so amazing, those who are yet to buy, it's not yet late you can still accumulate now before we enter into a New ATH. I can see that the dollar to naira rate has dropped a bit, and that is a good one but just as Charles-Tim said all this is because of the manipulation from the government by arresting the BDC and making exchanges to set their p2p price, however the problem is still on. Manipulation can only last for a while and after that the problem will still surface. It's not my prayer that we continue like this, but the government have to admit the real cause of the problem and tackle it now that it's day.
495  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Roqqu disabled all trading/swapping of USDT with the Naira with immediate effect on: February 28, 2024, 03:19:26 PM
When I saw the topic I thought the op was gonna tell us that exchanges has started disabling naira p2p from their service due to the current threats about banning of crypto currency in Nigeria. I can't even blame them for the action they took because the fluctuations of the naira these period, has been on the high side and a traditional currency ought not to move like that. However if other exchange do the same then that might be a problem because we'll no longer have access to trading USDT to naira.

An exchange that is not (well) known.

E no matter weda Dem no dey well know oo, our people say small fire fit burn down full forest. As them start na there the problem sef fit take start.
496  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: February 28, 2024, 12:43:11 PM
Both sentiments value with how a gambler thinks about their gambling participation, they've got that impression that by luck they can change their financial fate and they can shortcut their way getting rich, I guess if not all most of those who play and have this kind of mindset already lose a lot inside gambling and they can't control their emotions anymore, for some, they are just hiding it and trying to make it looks like they are just doing fine but with urgency to gamble they will still being caught according to how they behave as they really doing things unusual and even how they hide it, there are things that will expose it thru their actions.

Those who became addicted due to their wrong reasoning that gambling can make them wealthy overnight can not fully hide their addiction from people around them, because no matter how they try their emotions will one day tell the truth that they aren't fine because  People like that make lots of mistake in their gambling by letting their emotions speak over their knowledge. If they keep acting weird, then definitely a survey would be carried out by their friends or family the truth will surely come out, and aside that most addictions lead to irresponsible gambling which would be very obvious after a while.
497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trend or long term projects? on: February 28, 2024, 12:29:24 PM
Some altcoins can give you big profits as Bitcoin if you hold for long term, Ethereum is one of the projects that has big potential like Bitcoin and should be an investment that we'll hold for longterm. Ethereum has alot of utility as many project are operating using the Ethereum Blockchain therefore it'll always have a reason to be wanted by investors and developers but many others altcoin aren't worthy to be invested into for long term therefore you can invest in them for a short term.

Investing in trends can give you profits if you pick the right trend and coin to invest into at the perfect timing. Trends always have alot of money moving into them therefore they give Investors big profits in a very short time. Trends are for when you want to make quick profits as they can make you money quick but also know that they can make you to lose when you don't sell and take profits but continue holding.

I can't deny the fact that Ethereum is a good potential coin for investment but that's because it has some features like Bitcoin, and if you have observe the two of them, you see that Ethereum has been following up Bitcoins price movement and that is why it is what it is today. Ethereum is a good coin for long term holding and it's possible it might hit 8k when Bitcoin bull run after the halving starts. It's true if you meet the right short term project early it will definitely give you a worthy profit but the problem is knowing them early.
498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in meme coins is worthy or not? on: February 28, 2024, 12:10:43 PM
Influencers are sometimes the problem in crypto space especially on altcoins. They tends to overhype some projects for their own selfish gains.

That is the reason I don't even bother myself watching their ads or video about any coin. Most time they tend to use the phrase " the next Bitcoin" and to those newbies into investment they might fall for their hypes. The best way to get a coin for investment is by doing your own research, because it's possible those influencer might make  false predictions and hype, but when you make your own research, you stand a chance of becoming responsible for your investment choice, and if the coin turns out well you are to receive all the credits.

499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The future of cryptocurrency. on: February 28, 2024, 12:01:18 PM
Cryptocurrency keeps growing in terms of adoption and we see massive growth with crypto market, let's focus on adoption cause in the next future crypto adoption will increase massively, new generation has always love new technology and innovation that's why it's advisable to educate little ones about crypto. If the op is referring to a comparison between fiat and crypto I can't relate because I don't think crypto can completely take over fiat besides the government bodies will not watch this happen, I don't expect people to start using crypto for cheap transaction neither will this happen, in terms of massive adoption crypto will gain a heavy ground in the next future.

Cryptocurrency being an innovative work invention, has been the choice f the youths all over the world and the quicker any economy start adopting it the better for them not to be left behind. Cryptocurrency is a world class invention but I don't think it will completely erase fiat for transactions, reason being that I most persons prefer using crypto more as a tool for investment and not for buying and selling other things. Take bitcoin for example, after some couple of years when miners reward reduce to a very small amount, of course by then Bitcoin would become more expensive and scarce, due to limited supply. So definitely it would be seen more an an investment other than coin for p2p transaction.
500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trend or long term projects? on: February 28, 2024, 05:59:58 AM
Investing in Bitcoin, is enough reason to clear every doubt that long term project are the best. Those that started holding know what I'm talking about, especially now that 1BTC is worth Over $57k and we are still yet to enter the main bull run after the halving. Assuming it was a short term project after it has attained a certain height in price, not even close to halve of a Bitcoin it will just begin to crash, no wonder some  crypto expert call altcoins shitcoins, because that's what majority of them are.
