At first rally we will see $1 and then some period of stability and making floor before starting raise to next rise up. Many people were just miss this opportunity in their busyness with making profit from BTC. ICN is real deal and should be kept in holding for some period as there is not much time to see a sudden uptrend.
Many people want to buy only after they see the product, and don't mind buying for 3x price than now.
For every seller there is a buyer, and those who hold will be rewarded.

ICN is an asset with big potentials and upcoming projects, something to hold if you really want to earn big in time.
So the more you hold, the more rewarded you will be.

As i see, the biggest part of ICN holders, share the same thought... Cool

I AM HO......ah, hell, you all know what I'm doin'.

I think you're spot on about breaking into top 10 on market cap list
Should we throw a celebration then or wait till we break into top 5 ?  Grin

Why choose?  Do both!

Poloniex has had 27,500 btc volume ($24 million) trading volume in the last 24 HOURS! Imagine how much trading volume they have in 1 year and how much profit they make from fees! I will be happy with just 10% of that trading volume on OFM in the first year...

Do I hear someone off in the distance asking for a math calculation to be done?  Wait just a moment....why, yes....yes I do !!!!

So Polo has $24M per day in trading volume.  That's roughly 30*24M = $720M in trading volume per month.

Let's assume ICONOMI OFM ramps up to capture 10% of the Polo trading traffic per month at some time in 2017.  At that point,  OFM would be handling 2750 BTC in trade per day for a total of around 30 * 2.4M = $72M in trades per month.  Hey, that sounds like a reasonable goal....

Poloniex fees are detailed at https://poloniex.com/fees/.  If ICONOMI charges a competitive 0.20% fee, they would then be earning roughly speaking  0.002 * 72M =  $145K per month in OFM fees, or around $1.75M per year.  As the official owners of the OFM, holders of ICN tokens receive all fees from the OFM platform.   Thus in this example 100M ICN tokens would split $1.75M per year, or around 0.0175 USD per ICN token per year.  These tokens are currently for sale at Kraken for around 0.3000 USD per ICN token.

So ICN TOKENS PURCHASED ON KRAKEN TODAY OFFER A 0.0175 / 0.3000 = 5.8% ANNUAL RETURN ON INVESTMENT JUST FROM OFM FEES FOR EVERY 10% OF POLONIEX TRADE TRAFFIC CAPTURED DURING 2017.

IF OFM EVER GETS AS BIG AS POLO, ICN TOKEN HOLDERS GET 0.175 USD PER YEAR PER ICN TOKEN JUST FROM OFM FEES.  THIS WOULD BE A 58% ANNUAL RETURN AT CURRENT KRAKEN ICN PRICES.

BUYING ICN AT KRAKEN IS LIKE BUYING INTO AN IPO OF POLONIEX OWNERSHIP - AND MUCH, MUCH MORE.  THESE CALCULATIONS DO NOT INCLUDE ADDITIONAL PROFITS ACCUMULATED BY ICN TOKENS FROM ICNX AND ICNP FUNDS.  THESE ADDITIONAL PROFITS MAY BE EVEN BIGGER THAN OFM PROFITS.

I AM HODLING.

487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: January 03, 2017, 04:19:52 PM
Only pools must be in delegates.

Imagine a Lisk future with 100% pool delegates.  Soon a Lisk pool delegate has a problem with his node and his pool node goes down (which happens A LOT).  Why should he feel any sense of urgency to fix that problem?   There's 100 other pool forgers to keep the Lisk blockchain going, and he's not losing any Lisk out of his pocket - somebody else is.  So there's no rush to fix that pool node problem.  Then another Lisk node goes down.  Why should THAT guy feel any urgency to fix HIS problem?  There's 99 other....then 98 other...then 97 other...eventually 50 other....maybe 10 other...hey, who's keeping the Lisk blockchain going? And why?  And how are they paying for their computers?

You want 101 people to do their damn best to give Lisk forging nodes 100% uptime?  Don't vote pool nodes, vote for people who are VERY STONGLY MOTIVATED to fret over Lisk nodes 24/7/365 for their own benefit.  You get what you pay for.

Understand you delegates, you aren't necessary to Lisk.

These are the words of somebody who has never run a Lisk testnet node for months.
488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: January 03, 2017, 12:58:33 PM
...The pools won't last anyway so it is not a problem in the long run...

Correct.

Check the Delegate Explorer at https://explorer.lisk.io/delegateMonitor, then DO THE MATH.

The top tier individual forgers have around 14% approval, or around 14M votes.  The top pools have 17.0 to 17.5% approval, or around 17.5M votes.  It seems reasonable to say that pools have attracted 3.5M votes from Lisk holders wanting to use the pools as a "faucet".

Any delegate, including pools, ideally forge around 85 blocks per day with each block currently yielding a 5 Lisk reward.  That's 85*5 = 425 Lisk per day, or 365*425 = 155,125 Lisk per year.   Every Lisk vote for a pool gets 155,125 / 17,500,000 = 0.0088642 Lisk per year as their "reward".

The annual financial return on ANY Lisk Pool vote is well under 1% per year.

Let's look at the 3.5M votes that pools have apparently attracted over and above baseline delegate voting.  These "faucet hopeful" voters get to split 155,155 / (3.5M/17.5M) = 31,025 Lisk per year among themselves.  At 15 cents per Lisk, the vocal pro-pool posters in this thread are splitting up the equivalent of less than $5000 per year from a pool among themselves.

If YOU are voting "only for pools", how much of this $5000 will YOU get?  Take your Lisk pool vote total, divide it by 3,500,000, and multiply it by 5000.  That final number, in dollars, is how much you are going to make in the next year from the pool you voted for.

Also, the pool rewards go down by 20% per year as the Lisk block reward goes from 5 to 4 to 3 to 2 to 1 Lisk.

You wanna make money?  Do what I did, move your financial assets from Lisk to something like ICONOMI that offers the hope of a financial return much greater than "under 1% from pool payouts".

You want to support a development project with great potential to revolutionize blockchain technology?  Do what I do, run a testnet Lisk node at your own expense, or a mainnet Lisk node even as a Standby Delegate, or maybe soon even run a Lisk sidechain delegate node.  You will spend a lot of money on computer server rentals and you will have to worry about whether your Lisk node is running every single moment of every single day.  But you will be supporting Lisk, and Lisk is worth supporting.

Guys, don't argue about pool voting.  If you want to do it, do it.  Go for a couple of months and ask yourself if you are making what you had hoped.  The answer will be no.  Then move on to the next thing in your crypto journey.  Good luck to you.

I'M STILL HODLING.

I'M NOT TEMPTED TO SELL ON PANIC AND BUY BACK ON DIPS.

I'M NOT TAKING RISKS TO EARN CHUMP CHANGE.

I'VE GOT A BIG BAG OF ICN.

2017 IS COMING.
491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform on: December 29, 2016, 01:57:55 AM

I am so waiting for what happens next.  Jimmy looks to be totally screwed, and not just by Kim.  I admire Gus and look forward to seeing him, but Mike is totally my hero.  And of course the Gene B&W season opener cameo.  Those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, binge watch Better Call Saul to get ready for Season Three in March.  Best show on American TV after The Americans (a great show about Russian spies).

Sorry for the aside, I'm just tired of all the doom and gloom.  ICN will bounce back.  Stop hyperventilating.

Hey, I learned something from your post : width = 500.  I'm gonna have to start using that instead of plastering 4K photos on here.

There was a very interesting comment at that Reddit link by user cjudge about the SEC loophole that would allow U.S. citizens full use of all ICONOMI services:

"I don't think this <ICONOMI excluding Americans> should apply to "accredited investors" per the SEC.

Under the Securities Act of 1933, a company that offers or sells its securities must register the securities with the SEC or find an exemption from the registration requirements. The Act provides companies with a number of exemptions. For some of the exemptions, such as rules 505 and 506 of Regulation D, a company may sell its securities to what are known as "accredited investors." The term accredited investor is defined in Rule 501 of Regulation D.

For more information about the SEC’s registration requirements and common exemptions, read our brochure, Small Business & the SEC. For more information about how individuals can be accredited investors, see our Investor Bulletin on accredited investors

https://www.sec.gov/answers/accred.htm

And here's Rule 501's definition.

http://www.ecfr.gov/cgi-bin/retrieveECFR?gp=&SID=8edfd12967d69c024485029d968ee737&r=SECTION&n=17y3.0.1.1.12.0.46.176

Places like BnktotheFuture accept US investors based on this rule...

Hey guys , a noob question -

So what is the ICN tokens is all about ?
I mean  , i understand the ICONOMI website and platform , but what ICN tokens are different from bitcoins ?
what can you do with these tokens ? is it a currency to be used inside the ICONOMI platform once it is ready  or what?
what literally can you do with them ?

494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform on: December 28, 2016, 01:40:39 PM
People don't have patience at all they want quick results and hard dates this is problem with crypto. They fully ignore the fact that in software development delays are normal thing to be seen everyday. I am good with this delay for getting a more stable platform. These minor bugs creates big problems people need to understand this thing.

Yes but waiting until 24 hours for launch was a BS move that screwed a ton of people.

You all seem happy your tokens lost 30 % of their value that is the funny part.

Isn't it interesting that a huge buy wall sprung up to prevent a massive buy-in and even larger value loss before "launch"?

Also, I'm betting that the Alpha testers found a significant security flaw.  You don't pull an aborted product launch unless it is a preferable alternative to something else that could happen.  You don't do it just because some cool bell-and-whistle improvements have been suggested.

I wish there was more up-front facts and details, but the overall feel here is that ICONOMI is working behind the scenes to look out for its supporters.

I'm not only hodling, I'm not even considering not hodling.  Wink
495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform on: December 27, 2016, 03:43:53 AM
the most important thing is that this gonna be big in 2017, you can speculate as much as you want, but logic says otherwise. If you think you can earn on these price ups and downs, it's peanuts comparing to real deal. When ICONOMI will get big investor funding you will see it go beyond billion market cap.

One question: how can ICONOMI receive funding without issuing new tokens and dilluting the actual token holders?

Is the 100.000.000 token a max limit forever?

NOT JUST YES, BUT HELL YES.

ICN IS LIKE LAND - THEY AIN'T MAKING ANY MORE OF IT, BUT THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE WANTING IT WILL ONLY GET BIGGER.

Updated at the ICONOMI infographics with Mal's suggestions...  Smiley

Looks great!  Next suggestion.....

Prominently state that only 100 million ICN will ever exist because ICN is a zero-inflation unmined token

where i get back my lisk? i click refund more than week ago, still no lisk

I guess soon. BTC refunds were processed yesterday and Mal has done his part regarding Lisk (see quote below).

Axente and I have digitally signed off on the individual Lisk refunds and sent the file on to Fixcrypt for processing.  Lisk refunds should be out shortly.

Fix is still working on software to do multiple Lisk transactions from the Lisk donation account, along with his other Christmas Eve and Christmas Day activities.  The ball is currently in his court and I am waiting to hear from him, I will post if there's any news.

I still have to initiate 48 Lisk refunds.  I will do that tonight over the next few hours.

By the way, a refund to 1Ey2aqpVYnb8bjmNnjQzi1RS3AfCvjDANV for 0.28286564 BTC was not in the refund spreadsheet I got from Fix this morning.  Just saying.

I have discussed the refund situation with Axente.  He had hoped to use automation to make this refund process easier, but manual transactions directly from the ARK donation accounts with escrow control is the correct way to do this job.  Now that I have Fixcrypt's spreadsheet, I will initiate 87 seperate refund transactions directly from the two ARK donation accounts.  Then I will send these digitally signed transaction requests on to Axente for his second password approval.  I have to go to work right now, but I will initiate these 87 transactions and get them on to Axente  hopefully in the next 36 hours.
