Are you investing in Pirateat40's Bitcoin Savings and Trust or a pass-through operation for BST? And if so, how big of a % of your total funds is invested with him and are you able to guarantee payouts if Pirate defaults? Thanks!

10 Week Deposit: 2.5% payout weekly (10% monthly, or 25% for entire term)
2,5% weekly interest over 10 weeks should actually be 1,025^10 = 1,280084544 =~ 28% over the entire 10 weeks 25% over 10 weeks is "only" 1,25^(1/10) = 1,022565183 =~ 2,26% weekly. So which one is it? Thanks

Where can I find Chungenhung's deposit thread/website? I can't find it anywhere Edit: And same question for smart1985's thread/site Thank you very much for composing this list. It's been a great help to get a clear view of the current lending scene. Keep up the good work!

Received 50% of my funds as well! I added a comment to the claims page that they could send the BTC directly to an address of mine instead of Mtgoxcode if that was easier for them. A few hours later I received the BTC as an BTC transaction, so it looks like BTC transactions are easier for them right now. So if you are waiting for an mtgox code it might be a good idea to add an BTC address as well. Thank you very much Genjix! Keep up the good work! Looking forward to the other 50% I did the same thing yesterday, and nothing. Payouts are being made every 1-2 hours if you look at the transaction data+times from their address ( http://blockchain.info/address/1Bfsa8rbU99TLMVhVZefZijadATBwfUWCP), so you'll most likely have to wait just a little bit longer. They seem to be working on it at least! It was also only a couple hours ago that I got my BTC, so let's hope your payment will follow soon! Good luck!

has anyone got paid yet?
if not any class action suits start yet?
Yes, some people have already received 50% of their funds. Once all of their customers have received 50% of their funds back, the remaining 50% will be send out. Look on the previous page. People have received payments from this address: http://blockchain.info/address/1Bfsa8rbU99TLMVhVZefZijadATBwfUWCPSo hopefully the large amount of transactions associated with that address means that are paying back quite a few people. There's finally hope and light at the end of the tunnel!

Has anyone taken a MtGox code?
I requested an Mtgox code, but haven't received a payment yet, even though my status was marked as "accurate". I've just added a comment to my claims page stating that a BTC payment is fine with me as well, including an BTC address. Hopefully this will speedup my payout. I have to say though: Things are finally starting to look a little brighter. Keep up the good work!

Are you saving the hash value of the email-addresses?
Yes, I'm only saving a hashed value of the e-mail addresses. (A repeatedly hashed value to be more precise. You can never be too paranoid. ) Okay, sounds great! I just completed the survey, looking forward to the results!

People are divided into different classes depending on how certain we are of their claim. As we move through verifying accounts, we become more certain. Once everyone is refunded for 50% we then double back through all refunds and refund the last 50% at the very end.
I would personally sleep a lot easier if, even were you still delaying payments, I had some indication that I was in the "accurate" pile. If not then it's a matter of finding a mutually acceptable set of information that would get me in that pile. Once I am, I can shut up and wait for you to finish. At this point, getting the money back is a lower priority than getting an assurance that I will get the money back. Send an email to Genjix directly: genjix@riseup.netI've had really fast replies from him that way, and he confirmed my account was marked as "accurate". Kudos to Genjix!

How are you checking if people aren't giving repeated responses if you aren't saving the email-addresses? Are you saving the hash value of the email-addresses? I would love to help you out, but Gmail is explicitly stating the survey is asking for my email-address: Bitcoinsurvey.herokuapp.com is asking for some information from your Google Account xxxxxxxxxxx@gmail.com• Email address: Xxxxxx Xxxxxxxxx ( xxxxxxxxxxx@gmail.com)

I was mistakenly missing 1 file when processing the claims which I've now got. I'll now be able to confirm more people now that I might not have before.
Any news on when people that are marked as "accurate" get (part of) their funds? You said some people already received 50% of their funds. How was it decided that they could get a payment, while other people with an account marked as "accurate" received nothing so far?

Does that mean someone with alot of USD just removed his/her orders which were split in many little ones to make it look like they were organic?
Yeah, most likely. I saw the same thing happening. Depth chart looks a lot less sexy right now.

I just want to ask, Was it worth it all you short-selling bastards?
btc is up compared to where it was a month ago. Fuck short-selling! Great job bitcoinica hackers!
That is all!
Fact: Every BTC that gets shorted has to be bought back at a later time. Fact: Every BTC that gets longed (on leverage) has to be sold back at a later time. Bitcoinica's effect on the price is _always_ only temporary due to these simple facts.

So, how many customers have received a 50% refund of their account balance by now?
I got a mail asking how I want my refund (BTC or Mtgox code). So hopefully I'll receive my funds soon. you got a mail which said you should add payout info to your claims page? if so: everybody got it. or did you get another mail? Yeah, that was it. Afaik not everyone got that one, but I could be mistaken. Anyway, let's hope actual payments begin soon enough.

If you opened a long position at 4.30, your position is closed at 4.30. If you opened a short position at 5.30, your position is closed at 5.30.
Using this approach, the only loss for customers will be opportunity cost. Sounds reasonable?
Personally I think that how would any other company would decide, simply cancel all orders. But longs will be pissed, at least they should get their balances in BTC if they had them in BTC. Yep. Sure. Disclosure notice: This proposal would put me at a ~100 USD loss, compared to closing my long position at current market rate. But this would be the same outcome as if I had no BTC/USD position and simply sat on my dollars for a month. Ah well. Expecting Bitcoinica to close positions at the 'most favorable price', sounds unreasonable. Additionally, closing positions at current market price would certainly wipe out many leveraged shorts. They would not be happy. They would likely pursue legal action. Closing positions at (for example) the market price from the day of the hack (with spread or without) seems arbitrary. Closing at 4.94 - 4.98 would put me, and others holding long positions, at an unreasonable loss. I would not be happy. I would not take legal action, but I think it likely that someone with more on the line would want to. Two separate settlement prices is more complicated, and creates more room for discontent. I imagine that any other settlement proposal than opening price == closing price makes legal action more likely, which in turn would put a halt to any hope of timely and reasonable settlements. What about people with a long since $2? I'm not one of them, but I can image people would be pissed if their long would close at 2$...

Wasn't there an algorithm that pruned those "re-sent" coins from the count? I inquired about the "Total Bitcoins sent" stat a few months back and that's the response I got Not yet. But there are plans to implement pruning of some sort to cut down the blockchain size.

Positions will be liquidated around 5 +/- 0.1 depending on the exact math (a close price that's a suitable middle ground between longs and shorts).
I could have hedged my position, but with the lack information you pretty much screwed me out of quite a bit of money. Thanks.

Almost 40 pages of bovine excrement. Where are the usual trolls calling for a "scammer" tag? Pretty sure bitscalper wasn't given this much time to make things right.
And why are you even still commenting here, Zhou? Since supposedly you have no liability you should probably just stfu and let whoever does do the explaining.
I'm glad I peeped out how fake Bitcoinica was before all of this - you guys can keep my .9 BTC that I left over there.
Hey, shut up please. I for one love the updates Zhoutong is giving us, since the Bitcoin Consultancy is lacking in the update department.

Edited my post to provide some more details. The "Identification - True" seems to be related to whether you said on your claim page whether you are ok with providing identification to speed up the verification process, as it was already there before any password was entered. I have no idea whether the password I entered was correct or if I made a typo. I hope the fact that the password field is gone means that it was correct.
