What's with the invalids AFTER they are started as confirned

they should not start with vaild confirms and not give credit later as invalid blocks

WTF

It is network convergence, where we solved the block and submitted it to the network and someone else solved the block and submitted it to the network except they are on separate sides of the P2P network.  Being P2P, Nodes near us accepted our block and nodes near the other accepted their block.  Eventually, the network converges and the solved block with the earlier time stamp wins.  Our block lost.

This is why it takes 120 (now 100?) blocks before payout.
482  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BTCMine - mining pool (GPU/CPU miners friendly, LongPolling, Balance access API) on: March 31, 2011, 10:25:47 PM
MinerT won a prize 5BTC in this round!
I congratulate the winner, the prize has been sent Smiley

Thank you. This has been my most profitable day yet.  Grin
483  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Hiding the command window on: March 30, 2011, 05:45:50 PM
This works for me.  Save file as .VBS and modify the command line

C:\Mine\ufasoft\bitcoin-miner.exe -t 2 -o http://mining.bitcoin.cz:8332 -u <USERNAME> -p <Password>

Code:
Const HIDDEN_WINDOW = 12

strComputer = "."
Set objWMIService = GetObject("winmgmts:" _
    & "{impersonationLevel=impersonate}!\\" & strComputer & "\root\cimv2")
Set objStartup = objWMIService.Get("Win32_ProcessStartup")

Set objConfig = objStartup.SpawnInstance_
objConfig.ShowWindow = HIDDEN_WINDOW
Set objProcess = GetObject("winmgmts:root\cimv2:Win32_Process")
errReturn = objProcess.Create("C:\Mine\ufasoft\bitcoin-miner.exe -t 2 -o http://mining.bitcoin.cz:8332 -u <USERNAME> -p <Password>", null, objConfig, intProcessID)

It might help.

Wish I had gotten a piece of this block ... Sad

2538    2011-03-28 21:57:49    0:00:02    8    none    115552    99 left

edit: Block number off or invalid. I'm feeling a little better.
486  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [~70 Gh/s Mining Pool] INSTANT PAYOUT,+1-2% with LP! +1.2% for no failed blocks! on: March 29, 2011, 03:52:48 AM
I'd like to see graphs to get a better idea of the pools condition and progress.

Edit:  Additionally,  I'd love to see the hour delay removed from the stats but I understand it's to prevent "abuse"

Edit2:  How about a personalized dashboard page.  One that shows my worker stats, totals,  few previous solved blocks and maybe some bitcoin stats for good measure.  I find myself checking the stats page and my account page too often as well as monitoring the network.  If all this was available in a single page,  I'd work this pool 100%.
487  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Cooperative mining (150Ghash/s) on: March 26, 2011, 08:44:49 PM
Looked at my account page today and noticed that I finally found a block for the pool.

 Shocked  Grin

Don't know which one ... but that does not matter.

488  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: A discussion of truthHurts post about slush's pool on: March 24, 2011, 06:38:55 PM

As far as I know, Slush is the only pool operator who does not process free transactions, so he is the one who is profiting the most.

BTCMine is also limiting zero transaction fees due to the flood problem. http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4251.msg71231#msg71231

Anyone else monitor http://www.bitcoinmonitor.com/ ?  I've seen the flooding happen and have wondered, What's going on?
489  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Cooperative mining (130Ghash/s) on: March 23, 2011, 02:35:29 AM
Anyone else getting a "504 Gateway Time-out" to the web pages?

Miners still active. that's good.

Edit: Never mind.
490  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Difficulty change data on: March 18, 2011, 01:20:56 AM
According to http://bitcoincharts.com/   ...

Estimated Difficulty = 66983 in 953 blks

Edit: Now ...66806 in 950 blks

Looks like I'm in the same boat.  I also have two credits received after this that are hung.  Will they get confirmed after this Debit goes through?

Dropped my flag on SO-Cal.

Nice idea. Grin

495  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Cooperative mining (>20Ghash/s, join us!) on: February 19, 2011, 06:20:31 AM
Odd,  With 120 confirmations for validation and only 18 left .... took that long for the network to converge.  I guess that is exactly why 120 are needed.

496  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Cooperative mining (>20Ghash/s, join us!) on: February 19, 2011, 05:46:07 AM
Is the CFD calculated dynamically as difficulty increases or is it still showing the previous difficulty calculation?
497  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Cooperative mining (>20Ghash/s, join us!) on: February 19, 2011, 05:29:12 AM
For the record ... My payment was sent shortly after my post.

Still seeing ...
Current shares CFD: 99.98 %
Current Bitcoin block#:   109060

but the block history still shows the last block at 109018.  Is block history still delayed by 2 hrs?

498  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Cooperative mining (>20Ghash/s, join us!) on: February 19, 2011, 04:56:11 AM
I'll stick it out.

I'm also waiting on a payout.  My confirmed is above my threshold and has been for awhile now.  Maybe the payment script has not run yet.
499  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Cooperative mining (>20Ghash/s, join us!) on: February 19, 2011, 04:42:28 AM
I think the block moved on and something is stuck.
