481  Economy / Economics / Re: Will chatgpt really destroy the job market? on: June 08, 2023, 11:35:58 PM
Since ChatGPT was launched in November last year, this AI technology has created a huge response across the globe.  This technology has gained so much popularity that people are using this technology in almost every field. Any math can be easily solved through this technology, any unknown matter can be easily known through this technology, so there is a lot of doubt in everyone's mind about this technology that this technology will destroy the job market or not?

When asked about this, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said the technology will never destroy the job market. Rather, this technology will solve things that people never know about.  Since all tasks can be solved easily through this technology, this bot system may be used instead of humans in various work fields.
If this technology is used in the workplace, many people will lose their jobs.

Even before the commencement of ChatGPT, I think there are improved technologies now that replaced humans in various work fields.

Although it can really hurt the employment rate, there are still works to be done by human rather than relying on these technologies.

OpenAI tools are bound to handle those works that humans can't do. It means those current work fields will still be worked by real humans and AI tools will just provide some assistance to them, especially with the hard part. About employment rate, it depends on the field of the said industry. If these companies will get big advantages by using AI tools, then we can say that they don't need too many workforces.
482  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: June 07, 2023, 11:58:09 PM
In fact, if I can remember it correctly, Bob Arum and Inoue was looking forward to have a normal fight, pretty much like a tune-up fight just to settle Inoue's body in the weight class first before having Fulton up next

I think there's no plan on that before since they can't just have a normal fight or tune-fight-up if it's involved, Naoya Inoue. Top Rank won't bother to organize a fight for an undisputed champion versus a ranked fighter just for Inoue to adopt the new weight class.

Since it's not necessary, the only thing is to go directly against the champion as that is the logical way to do it. Maybe if Fulton decided to really leave the 122 and moved up to 126, Inoue will be fighting against a ranked fighter at the 122 instead.

But since it's not happened, and Fulton disregards his desire of moving up, the deal has finally been settled and organized.
483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bankroll management discussion on: June 07, 2023, 11:46:51 PM
What percentage of your bankroll are using as your bet size. I read an article online before that 1% to 3% is the ideal for low risk gambling while 4% to 5% for aggressive gambling. I use the aggressive type bankroll management on most of my game because I’m always bored playing with minimum bets or low percentage of my bankroll because I knew that house edge will kill me long term.

I partially agree with what you called aggressive gambling where you are increasing your bet by 4% to 5% of your bankroll. I called that just a standard approach of most gamblers and not being aggressive since we only want to make some changes while playing for a long.

It depends on the situation. Sometimes when we are already in profit while betting only the minimum amount or using only 1% to 3%, we like to go advance and try our luck on a much higher bet amount. Who knows right? There are people who have the patience to keep only using the low amount to bet even if they are winning but most gamblers try to do advanced.

The results though obviously vary with each other. There are fortunate on betting a much higher amount and there are unfortunate who loses all their bankroll.

485  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 04, 2023, 06:36:07 PM
Bam is the only player that can match Jokic on Heat. While Bam is inferior compared to Davis and Ayton.

Do you mean here by how Bam Adebayo putting the defense on Nikola Jokic? From a personal view, it's not even close to saying he's a match for Jokic.

Nikola Jokic is playing well even Adebayo is guarding him, and even against anyone on the Miami Heat. Did we even see Jokic struggling when Adebayo is defending him in Game 1 or by other Heat players? He was able to shoot 8 out of 12 field goal attempts in Game 1 and was sent to the free throw line grabbing 10 points out of 12 attempts. It's already showing that no defense is working against Jokic 1-on-1 and single-handled.

It needs two good defenders to make an attempt in slowing down Nikola Jokic, but that's not even sure if it will work. Even if the Heat were able successfully to slow him down, his scoring is the only one to be limited but he still can be a threat since he's a good playmaker and his average assists per game stats tell it all.

In several situations already when he's cornered, instead of forcing his way to the bucket, we will see him doing unexpected dishes to his teammates in a completely free zone shooting mode for an easy bucket. He is also good at low post especially against smaller than him therefore, 1-on-1 against Bam, he has the height advantage and can easily throw a floater in a post-up.

There is no one who can stop Jokic. If Heat will possibly be able to limit him in scoring, expect that he will instead have good stats in rebounds and assists.
486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: He Committed Suicide After Losing School fees, And That Of Friend To Betting.. on: June 03, 2023, 06:30:30 PM
It's really a shame, this is really one of those sad stories that really tell the dark side of sports betting and gambling in general, I could not help it, but had tears rolling down my cheek while reading this story..

Can't be called a dark side of sports betting and gambling in general. The dark side of gambling are technically related to gambling itself, like involvement of mafias, influential individuals wrecking the game, rigged match, syndicates-related crime and something around that tier, and not with the gambler's direct action towards gambling.

I can labeled the story you have shared under those post-gambler's irresponsible act and action and also related to gambling behaviour and mental-health related problems and concerns. A problem that now requires serious approach and if necessary, a professional consultation.

Can't imagine a young mind at 22 years old already experienced being in a tight financial situation. Their ability to handle such stressful problem is still developing at that age. After losing school fees, he might overthink that something really worst will happened and he thinks he can't able to handle it properly.
487  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 03, 2023, 05:33:22 PM
I am somehow hesitant of Magsayo's skill but if he can still knock out his opponent then I think he can find his place in the 130 lbs.

Might be because we never saw Magsayo's very best at the 126 due to some difficulty in getting in the right shape.

Also a timing that when he debut at 126, not just having trouble to get fit at 126 but also the first time to faced an opponent with the height and reach advantage over him, Rey Vargas. The same goes when he faced Brandon Figueroa next and lose.

Good decision to not forced his body to keep at the 126 contention and go straight to his comfort weight even the challenges here will be new. The same as what Casimero did in the 118 to 122 and now starting to climb the rank. Definitely, not a good idea for Magsayo to go straight against those top ranks. He can start with mid tier ranks first while adopting to the 130 environment.

With the reputation of MP Promotions, who is the promotional company for Magsayo, they has the ability to seal a deal for him against top ranked boxers at 130 right away but definitely rushing things might result on what happened to him same on his 126 journey.
488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - June 17 on: June 03, 2023, 05:06:18 PM
But it's still worth taking a shot at betting on the knockout outcome of this fight. Both fighters have a high knockout rate, as indicated by boxrec.

While 70% is really a good knockout rate, the majority of their knockout win is not that they able to finished their respective opponent in an impressive knockout win by a single KO punch. It's different from those well-known KO-type boxers that able to finished their opponent in a single knockout punch.

Both Crawford and Spence most knockout wins are done thru having several knockout punches on the match, not by a single one. It means most of their opponents who tasted being KO by both Crawford and Spence still able to stand on their feet on that first KO punch and continue to fight until the last phase of the match.

With that kind of strength, that makes me think that either Errol Spence or Terence Crawford won't have the KO win as they are durable enough to lasts until the last round even they will experienced an exchange of KO. To make this short, both boxers can suffered a KO down but not a KO win as after being down, they will try to found ways to lasts long.

On who will have the most KO punch, will have an edge on the judges final score.
489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: June 02, 2023, 11:59:13 PM
I have noticed that the PBA on-tour is not making noise even on social media basketball groups.

Even SMC teams like Magnolia and MVP teams like TNT weren't able to attract live audiences. In the first place, what can we expect in tune-up games?

Although if we recap some of the games here, there are lots of games there that ended up in thrilling matches

Tomorrow, Sunday, June 4 at 7:30 PM, might change the impression of the basketball fans to the ongoing tune-up games by the PBA as we have a big match here between the crowd favorite Brgy. Ginebra and San Miguel Beermen. I'm not sure if both teams will deploy their key players, especially those part of the Gilas roster that is currently in an active regular practice session for the events in the 4Q of the year.
490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: A long term investor here, thinking about adding RoLLBit Token on: June 02, 2023, 11:42:56 PM
A straight answer from my own perspective, I've never seen any users here share a successful journey of investing in a gambling utility token when we talked about long-term investing. Generally, a good choice to put money at risk with these tokens but not to the point that it will be considered worthy in the long run.

Even online gambling sites nowadays are really gaining big attention, either fiat online gambling or crypto online gambling, most users will just do the usual gambling here without even associating the advantages of using utility tokens in that said platform or treat those as investments either to hold or trade.

If anyone has some extra funds at risk, only they will know if investing in these gambling site tokens will be worth it in the long run.

Referring to Rollbit, I see them as a well-stable site that is keeping with the competition against other popular sites.
491  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 02, 2023, 11:22:56 PM
Guys I think there is a fight right now without a fellow Filipino Boxer that is happening in Japan, I really wish that this fight will not be a terrible situation for him because he is fighting in another territory, but this fight is scheduledd now June 03, and the Filipino fighter was Daniel Nicolas that will be fighting on the Main Card, here are the whole fight

A non-title bout that's why maybe it was unrecognized.

As per my research, it was PH Daniel Nicolas' first fight abroad while Japan's Fujita already pulverized and beaten two Filipinos in his career. Both are undefeated. They are fighting at the 125 lbs, close to the Featherweight Division.

Maybe these bouts are their stepping stones for those 4 major boxing organizations to recognize them and be ranked. Am I right there?

I'm not familiar with other title belts that these major organizations hold. For example:

World Boxing Organization (WBO) Oriental Youth Featherweight - Daniel Nicolas
World Boxing Council (WBC) Asian Silver super featherweight - Virgel Vitor (the next one to Nicolas that will have a match abroad)
492  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 02, 2023, 10:54:58 PM
From what I noticed on Miami Heat's Game 1 performance, they allowed the Nuggets to have several clear shots "from the inside".

What does this mean? The Miami Heat's defense is focused on the perimeter area whereas the Nuggets are also deadly but with that, they lessen their rim protection. It's noticeable from the start of the game that there are lots of unexpected easy dishes from Nikola Jokic to his teammates on the paint for an easy bucket. Heat players are mostly on the perimeter area not realizing that Nuggets won't have to push for outside shooting where they can even attack the rim.

Aaron Gordon was also muscling his way to the rim, even against anyone. If they can't stop Gordon inside the rim, what's more against Jokic and aside from that, thinking of how to stop those Nuggets perimeter shooters. I have noticed too in some part of the game that Lowry even try to guard Jokic lol.

Miami Heat knows the adjustment they will have to do next game but the problem is how they will able to properly execute it.
493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: $90,000 all in bet on: June 02, 2023, 10:31:37 PM
Awtz. It hurts and even a professional sports bettor for long won't be able to easily move on to that.

The 1-week effort turning $4,000 to $90,000 just lose in a single bet maybe because OP thinks he will continue the winning streak on that all-in bet. I do hope OP is just fine as that loss will surely haunt his mind for several days or even weeks. There will be lots of whispers he can hear out of nowhere stating those, "if only" scenarios.

No choice but to accept that painful loss (I say painful even though OP didn't admit it) and move on even with how hard it is. OP also says that he will just back on his usual betting board but my suggestion is, don't bet while still in the regretful status and condition. The focus won't surely be there as the primary purpose now is how to get on that winning amount again in a short period of time.

Although from what I see, seems OP's strategy in sports betting is really good. If he is able to turn that $4,000 into $90,000, he will surely be able to do it again but his mind should be in a relaxed state and don't let that big loss distract his future betting.
494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - June 17 on: June 01, 2023, 11:59:54 PM
Crawford is the slight favorite, not surprising though and I think the odds although he is the favorite is still a decent one. Just bet 150 usd to win 100 usd. I would not hesitate betting on that, I'm just waiting for the betting odds to be available on the betting sites I'm using then I'll ride on.

Good odds indeed. We know the capability of Terence Crawford to win this match and might dominate Errol Spence.

As a gambler putting some money on Crawford with that odds is already worth taking. Good thing that the odds between them are not that gap. Even those who want to put money on Spence can take advantage of the odds. Spence might be looked a not-tough opponent for Crawford but he's not an underdog to consider. He's also a big thing in the Welterweight but his camp is just associated with dramas.

Still waiting for other betting options as they might give us more worthy odds to pick.

In my own point of view, I will put my money on betting on the match result which is, the fight will end up in a Decision.

I'm seeing this fight will be a closed one and either none of them will allow a knock out win. Although not sure whom I will pick for now.
495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you use a VPN on a casino, even if it is not allowed in their ToS? on: June 01, 2023, 11:46:55 PM
Online gambling is legal in my country, but sometimes I have to travel to a country where it is illegal. I then use a VPN to be able to access the site. This is one of the reasons why some casinos allow people to use VPNs..... but you are still taking a huge risk.

Now, the question is.... Will you still use a VPN, if it is not allowed by the ToS on the site. What will you do if they "block" your account and take your balance?

If it's allowed, then used it.

If it's not allowed, then why use it?

Why consider doing the thing that is prohibited by the Terms and Services of the site? If we violated those, the site has a valid reason to block our account. If we are traveling to a country where online gambling is illegal, why even consider gambling in that place and we really have even that time for that as we have a reason obviously why we travel to that country?

Not just we are risking our account on that said gambling platform but what if there's a way to track users' activity online in that country where online gambling is illegal? We are violation not just the site's Terms and Conditions but also breaking the country's law about online gambling.
496  Economy / Gambling / Re: Question about casino, sports bet on: June 01, 2023, 11:34:07 PM
If OP wants to access a gambling site on their version of the application, why others are against it lol?

Self-preference and we don't have to be the same with each other. Honestly, I have 3 installed gambling platforms on my phone although it's not a crypto-based gambling platform. I'm more convenient using them thru the app and I'm not that noob with regards to security.

Definitely, of course, why should I use and install an application if it's not being promoted or recognized by the said gambling platform?

Returning to OP's question, the case is different though. Most crypto-gambling platforms, based on my observation, don't really promote much their application version. So maybe, try to find an online fiat casino based on your region that accepts crypto instead.

P.S.: some gambling platforms' applications can't be found on Playstore due to some issues. The application should be directly downloaded from the main site.
497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beterbiev Vs Smith AUG 19 2023 SATURDAY IBF / WBC / WBO LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT Title on: May 31, 2023, 11:55:42 PM
I thought Artur Beterbiev's next fight will be against Dmitry Bivol and he even voiced it out and express his interest in the post-fight interview after his dominant win against Anthony Yarde last January retaining his WBC, IBF, and WBO Light-heavyweight titles. I don't know what is the hindrance why Beterbiev-Bivol seems not a priority. Bivol's last fight was in November last year and yet no signs of his next fight.

I've just learned that the deal was won by the Top Rank Promotions.

And guess what, obviously as a champion, the purse split for this match is 70/30, in favor of Artur Beterbiev.
498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 31, 2023, 11:01:46 PM
Yeah you're exactly right, there isn't going to be any way to stop Jokic, but you've got to do your best to just limit him as much as possible and force the rest of the team to score as much as possible, which of course is no easy task.

Bam Adebayo is now surely preparing well for their face-off with Nikola Jokic. But as far as Jokic is concerned, you can't really just put a single guy here to stop him always as he can shoot anywhere, either on the paint, perimeter, and on the 3-point area. Adebayo might be able to protect the paint but the question is, who will defend Jokic outside the shaded area? Butler or Robinson might do the job.

Another one that might give Nikola Jokic a good defense is Caleb Martin who is a big factor for the Miami Heat in their entire playoffs series. Martin's contribution on both offense and defense give the Heat an edge over any teams they faced this playoffs.

We are only just talking about how to give Nikola Jokic a good defense here but the Nuggets have plenty of threats for the Miami Heat even if they were able to minimize The Joker's contribution. This is a tough match for Coach Spoelstra and the whole Miami Heat.
499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - June 17 on: May 31, 2023, 10:36:04 PM
What's the chances this runs into a trilogy?

I'm seeing a trilogy between them is possible if:

- if no boxing politics will ruin that or any dramas like what happened on how long this match got materialized
- if both boxers will not move up weight after their fight - for the winner despite being an undisputed champion already or for the loser, that doesn't have any interest anymore in the rematch
- if the price is right since the winner of this match should surely demand a much more share of the split in the rematch or trilogy
- if the match will end up DRAW

Anyways, too early for the trilogy discussion since even though there's a rematch clause on this match, I highly believed that it will go on a long process again, the same as what happened forming this first meetup. Aside from that, Crawford is catching up with his age and might push for the next stage of his career rather than facing Spence over and over again if he wins this match.

Gambling places are not for steady income, if you want steady income with gambling, online or offline, you have to be a owner, build your own casino and watch yourself growing up into a filthy rich billionaire.

You have to remember that the term gambling can't be called gambling if it's always about having a steady income or profit doing it. With just understanding the term itself, gambling is a risky method therefore it's sound dumb if others will think of it as a steady-income generating machine.

There might be gamblers that able to change their life completely into success because of gambling. The key here is being a disciplined gambler, like for example, when they experienced winning big money, they used that money into something much better or turned into a good investment that's why they are able to have another source of income while still doing their habit of doing gambling.

Actually, there are lots of gamblers who win big in gambling but since the feeling of winning big is something really special, they aggressively want to experience that several times not realizing that all winning money is now lost on the progress chasing for that winning experience.
