481  Bitcoin / Legal / KIN KIK SEC - what could be the outcome? on: June 09, 2019, 02:52:43 PM
Since KIK's getting sued by the sec, many people are saying that Kik will fight it if the case goes to hearing..
but what would be the ultimate outcome if sec wins? what if defendcrypto funds is not enough?

could sec force kik to buy back all tokens and / refund investors? or would kik be let go with just a hefty fine / settlement? what do you guys think the most realistic worst-case scenario could be?
482  Economy / Reputation / Re: REEE: Never argue with Vod, he will abuse the trust and stalk you for years on: June 09, 2019, 01:44:53 AM
^
What you say can be addressed by the relevant people or interested members, but could be easily in lesser threads, instead of every day a new thread over the exact same complaining about the same members and so on.....

Just try to keep it in lesser threads....... I'm always of the opinion everyone has to speak and discuss their mind in the right threads etc, just try to keep it in lesser threads if thats doable.

Nice hyperbole. I am not making a new thread anywhere near "every day". I wouldn't have to keep raising the issue if spineless complainers like you would take action against his abuse. Instead you just blame me, which is why I have respect for so few people here any more. Your pals are above reproach, and anyone raising a grievance is nothing more than an annoyance.

I've noticed your posts before, look I don't know you or vod, but he has a better sense of judgement than you. Especially since you are a trump supporting asshat that thinks being white is some kind of achievement. Don't ask me where you posted such shit this is purely out of my random memory but must be somewhere in the off topic section

also, vod is inactive these days mostly because of the latest fallout with ognasty and that crap, i suggest you not to raise allegations on somene when they are not even here to defend themselves..
483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for team members for a ICO on: June 09, 2019, 01:38:47 AM
still looking for people

and still paying in tokens I assume? I hope you learn the lesson that if you are serious about gathering a team and not able to attract one for 2 - 3 months straight, maybe your approach is wrong. People's time has value, and at this point that is more than what your supposed token has.
484  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Bither problem on: June 09, 2019, 01:29:26 AM
Guys thanks for the suggestions, but I figured it out myself but it was not the offline or airplane mode solution.. I deleted the wallet and saw that the cold storage option showed as long as I did not create a new wallet address. I did this multiple times to confirm it.

I'm successfully using Bither now to store some funds for long term.
Also, I guess this thread will help someone else in future, I will leave it unlocked for now.
Thanks again everyone.

Another advice: Bitpie Wallet (bitpie.com) is a multi-chain wallet developed by us following bither, which is easier to use,  so we strongly recommend you to use Bitpie instead of Bither.

Aware of bitpie connection. Not interested in mixing Bitcoin with playdoughs

486  Economy / Services / Re: ✅ need ideas for a business models for a scooter rentals type ICO - FREE $$ on: June 09, 2019, 01:19:17 AM
well this is new..   Shocked Shocked

Okay here's my idea,
You know how on wheel street advertising is so uneconomical? Well that's because no one has tried using it with scooters.

Typical on wheel advertisements employ the use of large trucks, but you could essentially have an army of 3 wheel scooters advertisement army, a lot like these :

You may ask why 3 wheels instead of regular scooters like in the picture. Simply because I have had bad experience riding scooters. They are cheap and inexpensive to ride yes but they are also very unstable. So if you are advertising with your scooters, then it can be through your token credits that must advertisers buy.

Here is where you can capitalize, instead of taking back the coins like others suggested, you can simply attach advertisement services to that coin. like buy x amount of coins and get x amount of days worth in ads. That way you dont have to worry about the economic model of buying back tokens and you can do the same thing with other forms of advertisement, online or outdoors.. whatever

Here's my wallet address : 36eSYDQkAgdXssf9j4n4fnqwTBwh9dD9pB

thanks in advance

hey OP, I never received any payment, did you not see my entry? or was something else wrong? I observe you are active on the forum.. what gives?

The price of MTC tokens has increased by more than 300% in recent days, what news has caused the price of MTC tokens to rise sharply?
It's called "pump and dump". Hopefully, we will see less of this kind of thing in the near future.

Last year their marketcap was nearly 107 million if I am not wrong. I bought about 100k mtc after the first crash and was lucky enough to cash out after it bumped for the 2nd time. All of that movement cannot have been just pumps and dumps. But i wonder what change since then, now the project is so silent

491  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The reason we need cryptocurrencies on: June 02, 2019, 08:45:17 PM
I need crypto currency because crypto trading and investment give me a lot of profit.  the crypto world satisfied me.  I can buy anything with crypto.  even though there are no merchants that accept crypto directly.  but converting crypto to national currency is enough.

And just by converting it, you are no longer supporting crypto, but rather boosting your countries GDP with the national fiat. That will never bring true adoption and crypto will always be unstable.
really? are you buying onions with crypto? are you selling produce for crypto? is any nation buying nuclear weapons with crypto? So how can you say that you are relying on crypto without any third party?
At some point you are cashing out to regular moneys aren't you?
When I said this, I did not joke.. if you cannot buy onions and nukes with crypto, till then crypto is not really adopted by everyone.
492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥CokeBet🔥No Registration, No Gas Fee, Free CB Token Rewards, a Dice game on Et on: June 02, 2019, 08:41:24 PM
Does the no gas fee in your announcement involves withdrawal on your website to the eth address ?

I am assuming no. The no gas only works within the platform because when you play within the system, they are not really using ethereum but representative credits, when you cash out im sure they charge gas  Cool Cool Cool but lets wait for the OP to respond.
493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH vs BTC on: June 02, 2019, 08:31:18 PM
SPEED is an issue for the BTC transfer and also the transfer fee.
Though BITCOIN will remain on top, and as i want to tell! There must be no versus but the two must join together.
They should not be rival and things will be better if they can collide though impossible because Nakamoto is not here.

When Bitcoin lightning is implemented it would instantly make Bitcoin more faster. And with similar tech like sharding that ETH is implementing, Bitcoin can too do that and be equally as fast as ETH if not more. So I do not think speed is that issue, as the tech matures, speed will come on its own.
494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH vs BTC on: June 01, 2019, 10:28:15 PM
So apparently there are ways for ETH to beat BTC? https://cryptotradernews.com/cryptocurrency/5-reasons-why-eth-could-beat-bitcoin/

I mean the speed one is definitely an issue that BTC is going to have to resolve sooner o later...

Thoughts?

I think the current leading mentality is that eth is not money. I think everyone should understand that. It is a platform for token development. of course it has other functions but that is what it is mainly right now. maybe when sharding is complete it would function as money much better. But then it will always support token creation, and what form of money creates money? makes sense? no so I choose btc just because it is pretty close to being real money as any regular fiat  Cool Cool Cool
495  Economy / Economics / Re: Looking at Bitcoin's price increase via YEARLY LOWS on: June 01, 2019, 10:26:00 PM
By looking only at the yearly lowest dollar value you'll find out that Bitcoin is always  more expensive in a given year than in the previous year. On average, its dollar value increases (at least) 325% p.a. on average (2010 - 2018).

Thoughts, ideas?

Full video at http://y2u.be/5TMygwWv4dc

Honestly I think bitcoin is just too young for such price analysis to accurately reflect and predict the market dynamics. Most huge volumes are just whales moving around their money. regular traders and users barely make a blip on the market charts
496  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How important is the right .com Crypto domain name to you for your project? on: June 01, 2019, 10:24:27 PM
Hey Bitcointalk'ers

I'm curious to know how important the right '.com' Crypto domain name is to all of you starting projects within this space? I've known clients who have forked between xx,xxx - xxx,xxx on the right domain and i wanted to know how much you would be willing to spend to get that brand you want for your business?

Not really, most new projects invent new names that arent standard words and then spend a million bucks trying to promote it. But take a look at crypto.com they spent a million bucks (or more) buying that domain after chasing it for years.. and look how popular it made their renamed coin
497  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for bitcoin related movies! on: June 01, 2019, 10:20:57 PM
if you want for pure entertainment purposes, then watch the new kurt russel movie about Bitcoin, other wise you will have to stick with the documentaries and stuff mentioned before
498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The reason we need cryptocurrencies on: June 01, 2019, 10:19:54 PM
Cryptocurrency gives me freedom of earn and no third party involved here. If i invest flat money there are many restrictions by government and money londering situations if i transaction lots of money. There crypto currency gives me free fair involvement. So i love it from my best.

really? are you buying onions with crypto? are you selling produce for crypto? is any nation buying nuclear weapons with crypto? So how can you say that you are relying on crypto without any third party?

499  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyway to block usage of stolen coins? on: June 01, 2019, 10:17:55 PM
Let`s us say that a exchange got hacked, Would there be anyway to ban those bitcoins? like blacklist the stolen coins so they cannot be used on the network? I know about going back in time with consensus of the network to a earlier block or forking and using that new chain, but could you just not ban the stolen coins?  I mean make a way to do that?

you would first have to prove it that it was your coin in the first place. And that method has to be waterproof as well.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes  otherwise what is stopping a random person from claiming your unstolen coins?
500  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is margin trading worth checking out? on: June 01, 2019, 10:13:34 PM
margin trades carry their own risk no wonder exchanges say it is for advanced users only. I think you should first learn the basics properly, learn to read market swings and a little bit of TA never hurts. Only then you should move into margin.
