SPACE wallet on YObit is in Maintenance mode...

Waiting to hear back from YObit on ETA or reason for the outage.  Hopefully not long term as the coin was starting to gain some trading volume and miners were back on the coin.

I also submitted a Support Ticket to update the Block Explorer link for the coin to my explorer.

I put up a Block Explorer to complement the 2 permanent nodes in North America to help stabilize the coin.

Hi, people! I have a little trouble.

Yesterday I withdraw AMS from YoBit to Bittrex adress: akh7p4d7ZVobuEuvqFCKyLs4GZ7VpcTX5u, but they disappeared!

In YoBit history I see my AMS withdrawal status: Completed!

AMS Blockchain explorer (http://www.amsterdamblockchain.info) says:
Error! : Search found no results for: akh7p4d7ZVobuEuvqFCKyLs4GZ7VpcTX5u

Anybody know what does it mean? My AMS dissapeared forewer?
Or maybe it's so slow that I have to wait few days (weeks) more?

P.S.: I still have no answer on my ticket from YoBit support(((

I have submitted 2 tickets to YObit, and notified Blacksmith on YObit Trollbox 2 days ago that the YObit wallet is on a forked or isolated blockchain.

My advice is to hold your AMS on the exchange until the issue is resolved.
484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: EDRCoin — Meet the brand new sustainable, energy efficient Cryptocurrency on: April 18, 2016, 06:35:32 PM
Interesting idea on energy efficiency, it would be great to be able to buy solar panels for cryptocurrency

Zial,

When the coin promoter is referring to energy efficiency of the coin he/she is referring to the Proof-of-Stake aspect.

PoS uses less energy in growing the money supply compared to mining (Proof-of-Work).

The vote is split on which money supply is a better choice, but PoS and the technology used in EDRCoin is nothing really new.

This coin started with a well deployed press release to attract attention from those not already involved in crypto.

I am watching to see how this statement will play out in the future:
Quote
DRC’s eco-friendly operations are carried in collaboration with independent private farms situated in different parts of the globe. 7 percent of the income generated from EDRC system would be utilized for the restoration of mangrove forests in Asia and the development of new solar panels.
Taken from their press release.

What seems to have disappeared is the United Nations connection...

http://www.amsterdamblockchain.info/ - See the current blocks - 420379. They use other blockchain? Anyway, my deposit was not accepted.

The block explorer seems to be behind. What do you mean with not accepted? Does it not confirm?

dev, network forked, for sure on Mar 13, maybe later again
right now both explorer and 2 nodes of midnightminer are far behind yobit,
and both chains are moving forward, it already looks like another fork
what a crap this coin

btw, all TX clones and TX itself are crap as it turned out to me lately,
i wasn't aware of such poor level, so i'll drop all this tomorrow

Tjeez relax man. I'm working on the new wallet.

I sync'd my nodes from Kees node that starting a month ago.

I am putting up a Block Explorer on one of my AMS wallets to compare.

Not sure why YObit blocks are so different, the slow blockchain sync'ing and low node count was more apparent in North America.  YObit should have a good connection to all the nodes in Europe.

Code:
addnode=ams1.midnightminer.net
addnode=ams2.midnightminer.net

Both are on the latest version 2.2.0

actually i started with those as addnodes but with listen=1, and ended up on a short chain,
more nodes fed me with shit.
to be on the safe side i'll sync to explorer first, then add all that goes along

Are you in North America or elsewhere?  I find some of the p2p traffic very segmented for some coins out there.

If your in NA, please PM me your IP, it might help me trace why the blockchain is soo slow.

i'm on the opposite side of the ball  Grin
and now about to strive thru that ugly pile of orphans again, bloody hell
ok, i connected to both nodes, it's safe until March 13
btw, explorer node reports ver 2.0.0

My plan is to have servers in Europe and South East Asia in the coming months.  But until then my servers are only in North America.  I need to prove the project before spending too much resources.

Feedback is welcome.

double checked, me stuck at 365881, explorer shows stuck at 416993.
the fork occured after #334716 (Mar 13)
#334717:
explorer - 29541f58b71080226d6686af023320d44dac2a8f4bf284be5f59af7964ffd215
me - e3ffbbd0656f778eda449ad0ee229551b9d3ef9d61db5498924f09a0dc26bd6d

an alarm was there:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1152947.msg14191788#msg14191788

i'll try to get along with explorer node (184.6.147.2) up to its top block,
btw it's frontend was stuck at 416993, but node info shows 417942+.
wtf ??

Both my permanent nodes are at 417990+

I am reloading blockchain on my personal wallet from Genesis block, it is at 210153 and it is slowly advancing.  But there are definitely more nodes available on the newer versions.  I have never seen 12 nodes on my wallet for many months.

So Kees is going in the right direction with the latest updates.

If you are in North America it may be a faster connection to connect to my permanent nodes.

Code:
addnode=ams1.midnightminer.net
addnode=ams2.midnightminer.net

Both are on the latest version 2.2.0

Awesome midnightminer! thanks for keeping it alive. 14 active connections to the space coin network. Looking good
So we put these nodes in a spacecoin.conf file correct? Maybe we should jump to a new ann since we can't edit the main page. This way we can post the current info for space coin.

Yes, the 'addnode' lines go in your spacecoin.conf.

I am working on updating another wallet at the moment.

If the rest of the SpaceCoin community is interested I can pull from GitHub and create an updated wallet.  Possibly add some needed features to the wallet.  I am open to suggestions.

I have made many attempts to reach out to the original dev, but no answer on any of my requests.

Nice beefy machine you got there. I use a i7 960 with 32GB of DDR3 for a staking server and it has 29 wallets staking and 5 master nodes using about 50~60% CPU usage

TimC, your numbers I believe.

Vegas, it doesn't matter how many CPU's, and how fast your hard drives are...
You are running windows.  How are you going to automate the monitoring and maintain security of 150 wallets without putting someone in front of the console clicking a mouse all day?

I hope you prove me wrong, but 30 yrs of programming experience predicts a very different result.

Wish you all the best!  Seriously!

More bounties to make you fly!!!

Ok so we have launched a block explorer service. We need coins that are alive and active that have no block explorer or a dead block explorer. The easiest way to find these is to scroll through:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=159.0

Please TAKE YOUR TIME, and dont send me Anns that have working explorers.

I will pay you 1 fly per link that does not have explorers! You can earn as much as you want!

Please PM me a link to the ANN and your fly address. I will payout once a week your total.

Vegas

Vegas, just a heads up.

I hope you have a data center of computers, or at least a rack of computers to host all the explorers you plan.  There is a limit on the number of wallets and explorers you can run on a machine (especially Windoze - even Server).

I am already doing a similar project to this and finding some interesting hurdles in having a pile of wallets running on the same machine.

I am guessing about 10 - 20 wallets per machine unless you start tinkering in the source code of each wallet.
495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Flycoin (FLY coin) V 2.0 wallet released!!! MAJOR MAJOR CHANGES!! on: April 07, 2016, 07:33:39 PM
Guys we still badly need a talented dev that can code .NET and SQL. 100 FLY bounty is offered if they come on board with us and "everything works out" .

Vegas

I don't know many ppl that use .NET and SQL for Web apps that will work for free.  Windoze is a hassle for web applications, requires too much babysitting.

If your platform was Linux based LAMP, NGINX, or similar, it may be easier to find help.

What sluchilos , the purse no longer connect

Main nodes are back online.  Had a mis-configuration that took down my servers.

Block Explorer and Mining Pool also back online.
497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: EDRCoin — Meet the brand new sustainable, energy efficient Cryptocurrency on: March 30, 2016, 06:05:48 PM
Dear shmeall,

If you do not want others to think of your coin as just another scam, there are a few guidelines to follow with PoS coins with LARGE pre-mines.

 - DO NOT stake the premine wallet.
 - Publish the Addresses of the Principal holders of the Coin / Company.
 - Theory on how you intend to maintain the 1 EDR = $1 USD value, and the allowable variance.

Strike 1: Your premine was dispersed to many addresses.
Strike 2: You are collecting PoS (staking) on the premine coins.  This undermines the value of the coin, especially for those purchasing on open market.
Strike 3: No documented plan on the amount of coins to release to market per day or by price.  You could dump anytime.

The coin is well on its way to qualifying as a Scam Coin.

Not to mention other issues:
 - Newbie account.
 - the ridiculously high PoS rate.
 - lack of information at launch.
 - no plan or road-map.
 - No background information on principal holders.

Look forward to your answers.
498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: EDRCoin — Meet the brand new sustainable, energy efficient Cryptocurrency on: March 30, 2016, 04:59:10 PM
If you read the poorly written ANN / OP you will find that 1 EDR = $1 USD.

So the YObit sell is set to their goal to set the initial value of $1 USD, instead of the market setting the value.

If the EDR team pockets are deep enough, they may be able to achieve what PayCoin could not do with their $20 USD coin project.
