483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SCRYPT JANE] UltraCoin (UTC) - Newly Launched on: February 01, 2014, 07:15:16 PM
where is everyone getting the windows wallet from, link not working for me?

Don't click the link. Copy the entire link and paste in the browser. It should work.
484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SCRYPT JANE] UltraCoin (UTC) - Newly Launched on: February 01, 2014, 07:00:10 PM
does this look right for the batch file ?
ultracoinminer -o 127.0.0.1:44101 -u youruser -p yourpassword --scrypt-jane --sj-nfmin 4 --sj-nfmax 30 --sj-time 1388361600 --thread-concurrency 28500 -I 20 -g 1 -w 512 --gpu-fan 92 --lookup-gap 2 --gpu-engine 947 --gpu-memclock 1500 --gpu-powertune 20 --temp-overheat 94

Huh Please confirm, also where do I put my localip address

it should be --scrypt and not --scrypt-jane.

you think im an idiot dude? go troll elsewhere

Dude. I've mined scrypt-jane coins before and --scrypt is what I use. Here is what I have in velocity miner.

Quote
velocitycoinminer -o 127.0.0.1:21334 -u username -p password --scrypt --Nfmin 4 --Nfmax 30 --StartT 1387769316 -I 19

I don't have to troll. I was just trying to help.

Edit: I downloaded the miner from the OP. You have use --scrypt-jane for the miner in the OP to work. I'm sorry.

What --Nfmin --Nfmax  --StartT should be used?
CGMiner:
--scrypt-jane --sj-time 1387769316 --sj-nfmin 4 --sj-nfmax 30

YBCMiner:
Nfmin=4 Nfmax=30 StartT=1388361600

i will be using qqcoin-miner, same as YBC i guess? Why do you have different startt in cgminer and ybcminer?

I have mined 3 scrypt-jane coins and all three have different startT.
488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SCRYPT JANE] UltraCoin (UTC) - Newly Launched on: February 01, 2014, 06:45:38 PM
Miners from the following 3 coins will work
Applecoin (APC), velocitycoin and qqcoin

Applecoin - You can find GPU as well as CPU (both 32 & 64 bit) miner here
489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LDC] Leadcoin don't missing it!! on: January 31, 2014, 01:00:49 PM
in your opinion leadcoin will be added to exchange or will be forget?

Well, LeadCoin is on http://www.cryptotc.us/market#2CH.

As with any coin if people get behind it then it will be a success.

People are quietly mining this coin but they need to start being more vocal!  Grin

Cryptotc.us is more like a trading section of the forum. We need it be in a proper exchange. I guess a good promotion is missing here.

It has to be p2pool for beginners. Don't have to worry about missed payments.
491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LDC] Leadcoin don't missing it!! on: January 31, 2014, 11:04:01 AM
any news from this coin?
i see low hash rate in the network, the coin is dead or is only that the people don't mine the coin?

Only a few people mine this coin. With low difficulty, anyone can solo mine blocks even with low hash rate.
I would like to see it added to a proper exchange.
492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [USDe] WEEK #2 § Steady Rise! - Unitary Status Dollar eCoin **LQQK** on: January 31, 2014, 10:55:19 AM
I wonder, if you are new to USDe, and you download the wallet, From windows for example, you download the zip, unarchive it and simply click the QT client?
in my %appdata% in usde I don't have a usde.conf file , I also run the wallet directly from archive and it's working.

Do you still need to create that usde.conf file and copy those lines of code?

You will need the usde.conf file only if you are solo mining. If you are pool mining, you do not have to worry about usde.conf file.
493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]GaltCoin - Full Release on: January 31, 2014, 07:41:58 AM
thats just sad.

I am a real person, a small miner, and not paid to fake posts.

Since I have solo mined & pooled mined around 10,000 glt
it is in my interest that the coin is worth something on the exchange.
That is my only interest. I am not paid or bribed by anyone, if that
is what you are insinuating

BTW, i have been a member here long before this coin even came about.

fake alt names?  wtf?   I am a member, not a noob.

I check this site everyday for NEW ADDED COINS:

http://com-http.us

That is where I found galtcoin, and it was very easy to solo mine at first
before others also decided to jump on it too

I also solo mined alot of marscoins   ... you'd crap your drawers if I told you how many MRS i have Smiley

I just said it in general not specific to this thread. Here is the PM message that I received. It looks more like a template message since I am not a dev and I was just offering a service and had created a thread for that and within a few hours, I received this PM.

Hey coin dev.
I offer promotion for new coins/services/threads Smiley Smiley

I can get lots of users to comment on your main post or a number of posts. both:

I also offer Comments&likes for the cryptsy helpdesk post but thats further down the road.

Were talking about 20/50/100/200/300/400/500 unique users commenting on your post any number of times to promote it. You can write down the comments you want but it costs a little extra.

Now the dev making alts/new accounts too....desperate attempt to hide the truth? *looks at posts above this*

Not necessarily devs. There are people who offer such services to increase post count for a thread and provide fake positive feedbacks. I had received a PM with one such offer here in bitcointalk.
495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Arcade Gaming Site With AltCoin Rewards (DOGE / APC / USDE) - Launched on: January 30, 2014, 08:07:10 PM
Added 1 more contest. Win 5000 USDE

Here is a step by step process to join and play the contests.

Quote
1. In the home page, under Active Contests, click on any of the contest (Eg. Win 500 USDE)
2. You can see in the description how much it costs to enter the contest (With the above example, the cost is 1 cubepoint which is equal to 50 USDE)
3. In the game description, you will see a link to the forum (JustAnArcade Forum). Click on the link to go to the forum.
4. Click on the link "Post your transaction IDs here"
5. You will see 4 different threads for 4 different altcoin. Say you would like to buy cubepoints with USDE, click on the link, "Post your USDE transaction IDs here".
6. You can see the USDe wallet address (USDE – GV9xDKHSh8mMPAcMwwuq3FeKAyPgFcBd5x) at the end of the post.
7. Send USDe to the above wallet address in multiples of 50 based on how many cubepoints you require. For the above example you need only 1 cubepoint, but I would suggest you to buy more to play in other contests as well.
8. After you have sent USDe to the above address, paste the transaction ID as the reply in the same thread (http://justanarcade.com/forum/topic/post-your-usde-transaction-ids-here/)
9. It will take a maximum of 6 to 8 hours (normally much earlier) to verify and add cubepoints to your account.
10. I'll send you a message after adding the cubepoints.
11. You can always check the number of cubepoints you have by clicking on "Just An Arcade" in the top left corner, click on 'Cubepoints' and then click on 'My points'.
12. After you receive the cubepoints, go to the home page and click on the contest.
13. Click on 'Join Contest'. After you receive the success message, close the pop up and click on 'Play Game'.
14. Click on 'Play Game' again and start playing the game.
15. Once the game is over, don't forget to submit your score. You can play any number of times and only your highest score will be recorded in the leaderboard.
16. You can see the contest leaderboard on the right side of the game page.

I hope this explains how to play the contests. Please post your queries if you have any and I'll be happy to answer them.

Oh I see. I didn't know it worked that way.

How about you make some free contests once in a while to promote your site and the coin? I just love games that require skill and not luck, this kind of games is missing from cryptoworld.

EDIT: Can you find a quicker way to enter the contest? eg direct deposit? 6-8 hours is painful

Free contests will be added hopefully at least once a week but I would need funds for that. The 6 - 8 hours is the time when I am sleeping. I don't sleep that long but still if there are more requests for cubepoints, it might take time. I'll be checking the forum throughout the day so will be adding the cubepoints as soon as I see a transaction ID. I'm planning for an automated system at the time of full launch though not sure how its going to work out.

Edit: Thanks for the TIP. Thinking of using it later for the free contests.

justanarcade.com

is a great site with a contest for free USDe

it should be listed on the main website too IMHO

A small correction there. The games are free but you cannot win from the games alone. You need to join a contest to win. There are 8 active contests with 4 different altcoin rewards. To join the contest, you'll have to pay the contest fee (cubepoints) only once for a contest but you can play the game any number of times to improve your score in the leaderboard. Here is a step by step process how you can play the contests.
1. In the home page, under Active Contests, click on any of the contest (Eg. Win 500 USDE)
2. You can see in the description how much it costs to enter the contest (With the above example, the cost is 1 cubepoint which is equal to 50 USDE)

People in this thread have been talking about coinmarket.io for an exchange but no one seems to be mentioning anything about Poloniex. Am I missing something?
