481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler living in England makes a $5M bet on Trump on: November 08, 2020, 09:17:18 AM
Too bad he choose the wrong one. However I don't think it will bother him no one will place $5M on a single bet for sure this person is really rich that he can manage to lose that $5M easily.

I hope he can take that loss.

I think it just stings even though I am not the one that actually takes that loss. I mean, just imagine losing $5M because the people wanted a change, maybe. He should blame the people for that, I'm just kidding, He can take that loss and I think he's still salty about Biden winning. Trump can't go to the white house because it is forBiden?  Grin
482  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why most of us are losing money in sports betting? on: November 08, 2020, 08:51:11 AM
Share some tips to win or to minimize losing?

Since we are talking about sports betting, don't just bet blindly.

Doesn't mean that a team is good it will win all of its games without losing. There are factors that we can look into to analyze teams, players, games or matches before it can happen so we have the upper hand. Though there is a reason why it is called gambling, you can't actually tell which teams will win so we just find a way to increase our chance of winning or minimize our loss.

It also might help if you choose one or two sports that you will be dedicated to and follow what is happening with matches and players. When you get deeper into some sports you will have more information that will help you with your sports betting strategy. Of course that will not be the guarantee of winning but still it might be helpful.

That is so true.

There are those that as long as they can bet, are confident that they could win even though they just know popular players in a team and don't actually know how this team plays. It won't help them win millions and millions of dollars or cryptocurrencies but as I said, this will help you increase your chance of winning, right?
483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust newbies that starts projects? on: November 08, 2020, 08:18:11 AM
I don't judge them but it will obviously raise some questions.

We can't just judge that user because he is a newbie, what we need to read, to observe, or to know is the project that he is actually doing. In this side of world, you can't just trust someone that easily, he needs to proves it and the way you can tell that is by knowing their goals and their reasons of starting that certain project.
484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to call the people into crypto on: November 08, 2020, 06:39:07 AM
It is a great time but I think it is better to just introduce Bitcoin.

A lot of people are not aware of cryptocurrencies but I do think that it will be hard for them to just ride with us without them knowing what could happen if they do that. If they invest and the price went down, they might think that you are scamming them and you made them lose their money, if they just knew how volatile it is in the first place they won't be blaming you.
485  Economy / Economics / Re: Government slowly open the economy, will it make the pandemic worst? on: November 08, 2020, 06:32:44 AM
The government is trying to reopen the economy in a limited portion because of running the economy in a way that can be beneficial for all. Because of the lockdown, many countries reverse getting decreased and if it continue then they will face trouble in near future. That's why the government is trying to reopen but where it reopened it, it makes the people in danger with the affect of the virus.

It is dangerous but it is important.

Not just for the economy of the country but for the people that actually need a source of income. They can't just stay in lockdown forever unless they have a source of money that they can use without the normal continuation of the economy. The reason they are always implementing the protocol so that people could get back their jobs and having safety measures on stopping the virus from spreading.
486  Economy / Speculation / Re: Just in - Bitcoin at $15 000 on: November 08, 2020, 04:35:07 AM
In the past years, the last quarter of the years are usually bull.

The recent years, we are not seeing that but this year might be different. We might be able to see a bullish market through the end of the year. Hope it lasts until the start of 2021, that would be a great start.
487  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think is the biggest disadvantage of bitcoin? on: November 08, 2020, 03:52:08 AM
Major two things for me which is disadvantages as considered for bitcoin is that not many merchants are accepting the bitcoin and as result in daily life it is difficult to use it or rather very hardly use in our life. Secondly due to price rise, the transaction fees have risen and thus confirmations are now also taking lot of time.

The adoption is really slow.

We already know that but since the pandemic started, a lot of people are putting their hands on cryptocurrencies because of their personal reasons, some actually use it as a payment or to transact money and most of these people are wanting to invest in them. Although the doption is slow, we are slowly getting there, it really takes some time.
488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost more in the process to recover ? on: November 08, 2020, 01:54:28 AM
The chance to recover the losing money in gambling will not be too big because, in gambling, your chance to lose more money will be big, so that will not be possible to recover your money. If you still decide to play gambling after losing, you will never know how much money you will lose again. If you want to make money from gambling, you will feel that it is difficult because gambling is not designed to make money. Perhaps, you can play gambling without thinking about recovery your lost money in gambling, and it's better to enjoy the gambling games.

Some people think it is easy.

They don't know that taking back their losses won't be that easy as they think of. Gambling might be that kind of game that would give you a result instantaneously but that doesn't mean that it can give back your losses or give you wins at the same speed, don't forget that it can also give you more losses at the same rate.
489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost more in the process to recover ? on: November 07, 2020, 12:22:41 PM
You are right on what you've said, you need to bet what you are afford to lose, but the thing is we should move forward after this failures, because if we don't, it will only make us frustrated and will keep up on regretting. I remember last time I lost 3eth I think in trading, it hurts yes  but we need to move on, and make it grow again so that we can play or trade again in good shape with healthy mindset.

Though trading is so different from gambling.

You could lose 3 eth in trading but that would happen in a period of time while in gambling, you could lose the same amount instantaneously. Gamblers should not chase after their losses, as you all said that would just lead to more losses or lead to suicide bets. Better prioritize your things and don't let your emotion run just because you lose, you should also remember that when you are gambling, you should account for yourself losing that money.

Not necessarily, maybe he put his lifetime savings on Trump winning the elections.Hardcore gamblers tend to do crazy stuff.I mean,of course you have to be millionaire in order to bet millions, but still if he invested lets say half of his fortune on Trump, this will hurt him, badly.

I agree with latter part, that it would be much better if he invested in BTC as that is sure winning bet,you cant loose in the long run.

I'm sure he is a big-time gambler to be able to up that big amount, it's his choice anyway but it's something that people will talk about because not everybody can up that big amount, just to bet for Trump when his chances are 50/50, let's admit there are still who don't like his leadership because he is quite arrogant in dealing with some issues.

He sure is a big-time gambler.

Not just that but for sure he is also a supporter of Trump. I don't think he would just put that huge money into that without anything to back his confidence up. I've been watching some videos like Trump saying that if he loses, he will not be accepting it and it would be one of the most rigged elections that happened. Maybe that is one of that reasons why he put that money on Trump.
492  Local / Pilipinas / Re: May Maganda bang FUTURE ang Cryptocurrency kung si JOE BIDEN ang mananalo on: November 07, 2020, 09:45:02 AM
In my opinion it wouldn't be smart to make bets based sa information na to. I'd say if bullish ka sa bitcoin long-term, continue stacking regardless kung sinong maging presidente. Tongue

So true sir.

They have these statements na para sa akin ay canon so hindi naman talaga dapat nating sundin. Hindi natin alam kung ito ay isa lang sa mga article na balak impluwensyahan ang ating komunidad na para din sa kanila. Para saken, kung sinu man ang maihalal at umupo bilang bagong presidente ng US, diretso pa din ako sa goal ko na maginvest and magHODL as long as I can.
493  Economy / Economics / Re: This is why bitcoin HAS to go up on: November 07, 2020, 09:40:46 AM
bitcoin has go going to up is true that Bitcoin does not just trending on demand the dollar depreciates a devaluation will occur, which will bring down the printing press. bitcoin has going to up will have an impact on Bitcoin if the U.S. industry is disrupted and the dollar depreciates. the reason for the rise in Bitcoin is that with the increase in demand the demand has doubled due to the adoption of PayPal Crypto. Although not possible to transact bitcoin in many countries bitcoin is possible to transact easily through PayPal.

It is good that bitcoin is going up but I don't think it "HAS" to go up.

There is a difference there and the latter seems something that is manipulated or planned and not just something that is an effect of some companies or platforms being accepted. In my opinion, I guess it is not Bitcoin has to go up but Bitcoin will go up.
494  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: lets imagine world without fiat currency on: November 07, 2020, 09:23:58 AM
If bitcoin is the currency we are using, I guess it would be centralized.

There is no way that we will be seeing bitcoin as a currency still decentralized. That might also mean that bitcoin will not be a universal currency but the same as the USD where it is the main currency used in investing and trading.
495  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think is the biggest disadvantage of bitcoin? on: November 07, 2020, 04:47:38 AM
I think the biggest disadvantage of bitcoin is internet connection

This will be a problem in other countries but not to Bitcoin directly.

One of the popular and main problems people repeatedly are talking about is the transaction fees. Another thing is that people don't actually care about the security of their wallets if they are using it and if they are hacked or scammed they will all be blaming it on Bitcoin.
496  Economy / Speculation / Re: sold mine at 14100 dammitttt on: November 07, 2020, 03:05:14 AM
That is your mistake, now you should learn from it.

You should not feel bad since you already made a good decision. You got your profit, it is true that the price went higher but it will not stay there. It will go down, you will have another chance and another profit in the incoming months and years. We are having a great run, you should look at it closely but what's done is done, enjoy that profit for now.
497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know what bankroll management is in sports betting? on: November 07, 2020, 02:00:05 AM
I do support a team but I don't just let my emotion run free.

It is true that you are supporting a team but that doesn't mean that you can risk your money with them without doing any analysis or anything that could increase your chances of winning. We are talking about your money here, so you don't need to always just go with that team always, you need to use your head first before your heart as they said it.

Maybe we can start trying on our own experiment, what we do is to gamble consistently and learn how and when to stop when we are in winning or losing situation.

To be honest, I can do that.

I am that kind of individual that is not really that attached to gambling but just do some bettings if I wanted to and stop if I also wanted. That is the reason why I am kind of confused about why other people are having a hard time stopping from wins or losses even if they really needed to stop. I guess we really have different environments that influenced us as we grow.
498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know what bankroll management is in sports betting? on: November 06, 2020, 11:31:19 AM
It was exciting to feel that moment, but if we lose, only regret that we will felt.

This kind of feeling should be eliminated because it will affect your future decision.
When you put emotion in gambling, you'll never be consistent in the long run as eventually you will lose your focus.

Believe me, I've been there.

Whoa, a lot of news like this.

I just read an article about Devin Booker wanting to go out of the Phoenix Suns. While it is still a rumor, it is being said as the worst kept secret based on the same article qouting a bleacher report.

500  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Panahon Na Nga Ba Maging "Cashless Society" ang Pilipinas? on: November 06, 2020, 09:48:09 AM

Kung saan unstable and internet and supply ng kuryente. Napakarami pa talagang rason para natin masabi na hindi pa handa ang bansa natin sa ganitong sistema. Sa tingin ko, kulang ang limang taon para sa paghahanda na ito.
