482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Beware of ETH2.0 Scammers on: December 04, 2020, 01:48:51 PM
I know i was bit late to report the situation but it better than never.

On December, 1st 2020 after Vitalik congratulation message on twitter for the launch of ETH2.0, a group of scammer seized the opportunity to scam ETH enthusiast out of their holding by providing a Ethereum foundation airdrop giveaway as showing in the below image which indicates that the message was not posted by Vitalik himself but I'm still surprised how the scammer manage to his account alive for years.

Newbies beware and understand that everything thats seem too good to be the true in crypto investment is a scam.
483  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transaction can be lost? forever stuck transaction in mempool on: December 04, 2020, 12:32:41 PM
Hi,
I transferred $1800+ btc with $1.09 mining fees, which is very low at that time, but now my transaction is stuck in mempool from 3 days. Is it lost?

https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/transaction/6d39ddf0ec4ce578bd70300c317865aa40d471e9feed3b794655f51ad5b33e9a

I'm not really sure if the transaction is stuck in the mempool it would be lost forever I don't hear any news or reports in regards with that, I'm sure it won't be lost if its stuck maybe it would just take too long before it would be confirmed.
The transaction be confirm when it weekend and thats if it still exist in the mempool.

If you did everything correctly, it is unlikely that your bitcoins can get stuck in mempool
Everything correctly? Even experienced crypto enthusiast make the same mistake when they are out of budget and want to send two transactions the same day which I believe was also the reason behind the OP stuck transaction cause it had an unconfirmed parent tx.
484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Values of Bitcoin & Altcoin are correlated on: December 04, 2020, 09:12:48 AM
It is definitely correlated because when btc price goes to down then altcoins market go up. I would say altcoins pump market not connected on btc pumping time because you can realize now there are more altcoins price still dumping. Somehow top few altcoins price already touch green light but not all altcoins.
To be honest, I have not seen such a situation for a long time when Bitcoin falls in price, and altcoin rises in price. Perhaps some cryptocurrencies, regardless of market conditions, have shown good results, as happened at the peak of the popularity of DeFi projects. But basically, the cryptocurrency market picks up when Bitcoin rallies.

So far, if the Bitcoin price is dumped, the altcoins will follow suit,
did you see the market last week? when the Bitcoin dump price is below $ 17k and the altcoin price has dumped 20% more,
it is highly correlated, therefore before you buy altcoins, make sure the Bitcoin price is in good standing,
and currently Bitcoin is sideways, the right time to buy Altcoins.
Altcoin and Bitcoin market correlate but not in every situation and even when they both correlated some altcoins will be left behind. Arkann, Bitcoin is the King of cryptocurrency market but that doesn't mean there is no season where Bitcoin market will fall in price while altcoin market will experience rally.
485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Any clue why whales are pumping shit coins at DEX? on: December 03, 2020, 11:33:48 PM
Ever since I'm into cryptocurrency investment i have never for once see whales pumping the price of shitcoin and the people that pump the price of shitcoin are signal group or liquidity exchange which uniswap is part of the decentralized liquidity exchange.
OP, if the shitcoin you're talking about is listed on uniswap it possible that the token has paid uniswap for liquidity services.
Mind you, shitcoin will always be shitcoin and if it pumps by some group it will later experience a dump in price.
486  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Adoption: Universities now Accepting Bitcoin for Tuition Payment? on: December 03, 2020, 09:15:36 PM
What more do we need? It is left for governments of several countries to lower their pride and decentralize their economies; by leveraging on the growing of the digital freedom. Bitcoin isn't just a coin, it is an economy to reckon on.
First of all, i want to enlighten you guys that alot of Universities in the US and UK have been accepting Bitcoin for tuition payment before now and even before payment integration of cryptocurrency but i guess most people are not aware of it.
Josefjix, i have said before that the government are the only setting hindering crypto adoption but with the SEC CEO statement i expect some government to lower their pride
487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why is Binance Coin a good choice to HOLD? on: December 03, 2020, 04:37:11 PM
with the good politics of cz, in medium ter bnb hits 100 dollar.
he really knows how bnb can get value.

whats medium ter? tier?  or medium article ? . bnb hasnt hit 100 dollars and its last ath were only at 39 dollars but its possible that it can get close to 50 dollars in the future .
I believe he presume the price of BNB to clinch $100 when the new ATH price happen next year while the tier was referring to the strategy and the rewards CZ binance integrated for BNB holders which was also one of the thing that make the coin to be among cryptocurrency enthusiast choice.

cz is a wise guy and know what he was planning
CZ have worked with many big company and also developed software that make the companies thrive so if he not wise enough to manage his own business despite all his previous experience that will make him irresponsible.
488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH 2.0 is LIVE!! on: December 03, 2020, 02:31:30 PM
At first week everyone was talking about how it may take few more months after December to find enough money, looking back now I realize that was wrong and we didn't needed that much money at all, we just needed time. So we are going to end up with phase 0 now, which is not eth 2.0, that is something else
I understand what you are trying to say about the ETH2.0 which will take some time for it to be effective cause it maybe be in the phase 0 first and people need to wait till it phase2 cause some change is needed to be done on the ETH networks and ERC223 is among it.

the phase 2.0 will be public at least a year from now, or even if it is faster maybe 9 or so months, we still have to wait for that.
But i dont understand your impression here because Vitalik make the announcement of the ETH2.0 to be officially live and said it will take acouple of months or a year before it will be live?
489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING SITE INVESTMENT on: December 02, 2020, 11:29:37 PM
There are too many factors that contribute to making these kinds of investments too risky for me. I already mentioned the fact that the site owners can go rogue and disappear (it happened so many times, and don't believe that a longer presence means security), there can be a theft from the outside, some glitch in the games that allow people to win big (and destroy your investment).
These are the main ones and they are too many.
I get your point specially if there are Many investors that supports the process then for sure this will cost tons of amount and can make the owner blinded and instead of running the site He may decide to Run and take the money instead.

but of course Lets give the benefit of the doubt since this is experimental and obviously OP just wanted to Show everyone whats Inside the investment process,So readers need to decide depend on what they see and what they learn.

For some, even a small profit can be worth taking risks. I am focusing more on the unnecessary risks (I've already expressed earlier on) that one takes when investing in these entities than on the potential profit.
I will never be tired of warning users (especially newbies) about the potential risks they are assuming for some small profit. Easy as that.
In the end, it's about the message and I hope mine is clear enough.

It good to be conscious in terms of investment especially when it bankroll investment which profit is no guarantee but that doesn't mean that all the reputable mentioned by the OP will decide to steal from investors as you presumed just to spoil the reputation built for many just because of some thousand $? Mind you, every earning and activity are done sincerely with no cheat.
490  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I regret to scrutinize bitcoin! on: December 02, 2020, 08:55:23 PM
Here are some of my topics I am writing about bitcoin that I made some regrets. I am not a fan with bitcoin before but I am now!

Still I wanted to get confirmation with you guys. What do you think of my realization? Am I coulr be right? or Wrong?

I'll be happy to hear with you guys! Thank You!
It good you realized your mistake but you are not the first person to have negative thought about Bitcoin and you wont be the last. Besides, i dont believes in Bitcoin in the early stage and it something that hurt so deep like a knife each time i remember that day i have a negative impression about and what i ought to have gained if i join cryptocurrency at the early stage.
491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrops are important on: December 02, 2020, 07:07:21 PM
  • Better distribution in many wallets
Firstly, airdrop was important to startup project which are willing to advertise and increase their social media followers for the purpose of exchange listing and others but better distribution in many wallets was never part of the importance of airdrop better still it increase coin/token holders.

Airdrops will get better as long as the altcoin market is rising and new projects appear.
Airdrop will get better if startup project team create an innovative project rather than editing or emulating previous project concepts.

The UNI airdrop was distributed to anyone that used this platform. It is how airdrops should be performed to exclude thousands that would only care to dump at any price and did the minimum to help.
Uni airdrop was just an act of uniswap giving back to their customers and the last time i checked 95% of all the people that benefitted from the airdrop dump their token already but uniswap manage to manipulate the price.

492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Gamblers! What is your excuse to avoid a game with 0% House Edge? on: December 01, 2020, 10:15:53 PM
we are giving it back to our gamblers through 0% House Edge. So, what is stopping you from wagering on this game like before?

Constructive criticism is welcome. Smiley
Since you are newbies to the gambling business you ought to make research about the games that online gamblers enjoy these days and integrate them in your project, not you giving the community the 4 years back experience which I think will be somehow outdated by most gamblers. However, the scam activities happening in the crypto sphere will make it hard for every gambler totally trust the 0% house edge you offer until you public proof your honesty.

Scam activities let gamblers to stay where they already entrust their money, it's quite difficult to attract gamblers to visit and play inside your platform not even you are offering total 0 house edge, reputation and is very important to each gamblers. Even they're  implementing house edge gambler choose to stay and continue playing.
Definitely cause the quote everything which "seems too good to be true" is possibly scam is what every crypto/gambling enthusiast used these days to keep them safe from scammer so OP needs to make the community believe the whole concept is genuine cause we have seen a lot of genuine sites compromised while the hacker uses it to steal from people.
Second, you need to implement new games with instant withdraw which are what gamblers of these days wish for.

First, their site is not that attractive. Though it is simple and straightforward, but it will not attract some players' attention.
And even if it is offering 0% house edge, the odds of winning is very low.
That's why it is not appealing to players. They may have good intentions here. But the game itself is not fascinating.
If you remember the cheap UI/UX and templates and not an attractive site which is one of the thing gamblers look before playing are what exit scam gambling site and ICO used then which is the reason why i once said the site activities are outdated which is also among what make it a no go area for gambler.
OP, the third option improve the site.

494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: $WAVES to hit $10 price soon? on: December 01, 2020, 07:30:31 PM
The speculation is the root of all evil... I don't think there is a huge potential created by Sasha, the devs should try their luck on another project. The bull market is not enough to save Waves projects after all these wasted years.
Speculation was actually the mother of all evil but one man food is another mans poison because cryptocurrency market was built on speculation considered seems to be the mother of all evil in some investment settings. Having said that, the Sasha introduced by the Waves team shouldnt be considered as the thing that will help the coin pump in price when the community seems not to be interested in the Wave as before.
Speculation can be profitable if the trader can predict the future results backed by fundamental reasons. Otherwise, it is considered luck. The trading community only look for the profit because the basement of trading build over the profit and risks. The Waves team has lost its credibility after so many failed attempts, no one will want to give a Waves token as a gift to the relatives, IMO.
You are absolutely right about speculation to be backed by fundamental and technical analysis but 95% of all cryptocurrency traders/investors backed their speculation with TA only which is what also trigger their losses.
Having said that, the loss of the wave's credibility was the fault of the CEO not creating good development of the project and also keep the community involved by asking questions about what they would like to change as we have seen Vitalik did before ETH2.0 was introduced to the public.
495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊[Boxing] Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Junior [PPV on Nov. 28] on: December 01, 2020, 11:03:17 AM
So in the end of  Long waiting and for a Fight that may never happen again the Ending is a Big DRAW..Maybe Mike did not expect That Jones is still has that Stamina  .to stand still after the last round.
So whats the next Big thing in Boxing?Tyson vs Hollifield?

If the promoters will push this, it's likely to happen I have seen Holyfield doing the mits and he is doing great with it, the two are the best protagonist in their era and they are good friends too, they like to be in shape and very competitive with the same passion for the sport, I like to see both of them both in the ring again, it will attract more attention more sales.
We don't know yet if there's a chance for Mike Tyson and Holyfield to meet in the ring again cause the possibility is slim but no fight is impossible in boxing if the money is good, promoters are willing to promote and the fans are thirsty for the fight.
@pilosopotasyo, you seem not to be aware of the relationship between the two champs (Mike and Holyfield) because they are rivals and never friends as you said.

yes, but if we want to succed in this crypto world, speculations could be the right choice
but with full calculations between risk and reward my friend
and for the OP maybe waves will reach $10 next year
Yes, theres chance for waves to reach the predicted ($10) price but the project waves seems to be outdated just like the stablecoin (CoinoUSD) created by the Waves CEO and thats the reason why i believethe Sasha have not impact in the project.
With that been said, no crypto investors or traders can make full calculation and speculation without have good experience with knowledge which is not what most investors seek first.
498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊[Boxing] Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Junior [PPV on Nov. 28] on: November 29, 2020, 10:42:08 PM
It was clearly that MIke won from a mile this fight. The fact that he still has the same moves, tells us that he was born for boxing and something like this cannot be teach or learn and I'm glad that I woke up and watch the fight as even my commentators were so impressed by how he fight at 54 years.

A rematch would be nice , but make it with an official decision so we won't have any doubts about who will win.
I am glad you also understand this mate because alot of people seems not to understand that Tyson still train really hard and fight just like hes still young when they said hes going around party and despite the fact that I am Mike Tyson follower i never expect him to perform really good against Roy.

500  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Please help! mycelium watch only account private keys on: November 29, 2020, 09:21:23 PM
He doesn't recall gaining a private key upon the creation of the account, is it possible or does he not know what he is talking about?!

No, that's not possible.

If he generated the private key using mycelium, he definitely was told to back it up. He might have forgotten this. Or he didn't care.
If he imported an address, there was never any private key to start with.

Either way, this is a prime example on how fool proof methods can never be fool proof enough and that for the majority of non-techy people a wallet has to be as simple as using a credit card without any addresses, private keys, transactions, confirmations etc.
Basically for the mainstream user, you'd need to remove every technical aspect of bitcoin. And even then it wouldn't be fool proof enough..

He loaned some cash to a guy and he got paid back with the coins, and he isn't bitcoin savvy, so at this point I'm thinking it's either the guy who paid him back gave him a wrong instruction(whether onpurpose or not) or he accidently deleted the keys and don't remember.
The first mistake your friend did is receiving the money he loaned someone through crypto when he's yet to understand crypto payment because the payment sender may have just scam your friend but to understand the whole issue probably.
1) Whats the relationship between your friend and the person that sent the payment?
2) Is there a chance to get the payment tx ID?
