Put about $100 worth of bitcoin on the Bulls last night at +5.5 .  I thought I was doomed in the third quarter.  I am pleasantly standing corrected about Zach and Demar last night.  Lavine was absolutely incredible.  It's so frustrating when a guy of his talent level and skill COULD be a mega-star, I mean he's got the skills to be that, and he was that last night..but he just can't seem to do it consistently.  Frustrating.

Looking forward to betting this Bulls game tomorrow vs Miami.

Lavine played an amazing match and he brought the bulls back from that huge lead that the Raptors had. But the reason why the Raptors were knocked out is because of those 16 missed free throws. They had 51% free throw rate and that is just terrible. The funny thing is that Demar Derozans daugther screamed everytime they had free throws and it was anoying and it worked in the end so that they had missed so many free throws.

I didn't know that it was her daughter, but they flashed that young lady on the screen. That's the breaks of the game, though. The Raptors aren't that bad in the regular season at the free-throw line, but because of the pressure of the game, they might panic and become afraid of losing. Imagine, they were in control of the game, and then suddenly the Bulls surged back. The pressure must have been high.

It's obvious that the pressure is high as this is the play-in already. It's either they have to play focus or choke, and the latter happen to the Raptors. So we should give credit to the Bulls for pulling one of the upsets in this play-in.

Same with the Thunder, they are a young team, but SGA took the pressure in his shoulder, even making 2 free throws down the stretch.

So never underestimate them when betting.

Of course, I see how OKC did in that game, and I'm not surprised because the same roster was already killing it in the regular season, even though they are not really in a safe standing. They are young, but they are up for a big challenge, and that is to prove to NBA fans that they should not be underestimated.

So going to Minnesota, I guess the same story would happen. As long as they play together, there's a decent chance that they'll advance.

I have the Bulls and OKC in the final game of the play-in tournament.

483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 13) on: April 13, 2023, 08:14:12 AM

I have no expectations from Casimero's opponent because he is an unknown fighter, but I am more interested in how Casimero will deliver an impressive win. However, as you said, Casimero should not be careless and underestimate his opponent. If the result is not in his favor, it could potentially affect his future journey. Remember that he wants to be a champion again, and the only way for that to happen is if he keeps winning fights.

That's true, but let's hope that Nghitumbwa will not be a different fighter in the ring. His records indicate that he is an aggressive fighter, but sometimes boxers change their style when they face a superior opponent. This fight is going to be entertaining, and we are expecting to see Casimero face a challenging fight. So, Nghitumbwa better live up to that challenge.
I hope he does not change his style radically, after all the moment he does he is already admitting that he cannot beat his opponent with his main style and strength, and if that is the case then how can he expect to beat Casimero if he will need to use a completely different strategy than what he usually uses? Now some minor adjustments are fine, but a radical adjustment spells doom for most boxers, no matter how skilled and talented they are.
Whatever strategy Nghitumbwa chooses to use, it is his choice. However, he needs to understand that he is facing an ex-champion who has not lost in a championship fight in an action-packed fight when he became popular. Casimero is not an easy opponent, and this is a special fight for Nghitumbwa as Casimero is a world-class boxer while he is still trying to become one.

The Pelicans and Thunder are still playing, Pelicans has a slight lead after the first half.
They have been so predictable compared to OKC, where they do not rely too much on SGA. It was an entertaining game, and from the very beginning, despite the Pelicans having the lead, I always believed that OKC would not give the game easily. As I saw it, they were making great adjustments in the second half and had beaten the home team in a very close game.
485  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 13, 2023, 02:28:54 AM

Tomorrow we have Bulls vs Raptors and Thunder vs Pelicans. Will we see an upset again?

Yes, we did see an upset as the Bulls had a strong comeback in the second half to beat the Raptors. The chants of the crowd did not help the Raptors to win, as the Bulls were so focused on winning the game. Everyone on the Bulls played well, and their starters did a great job. I believe Pat Beverly was a big addition to the team, as his defense and hustle were very evident.

Final score 109-105

LaVine - 39 points
DeRozan - 23 points

It’s definitely tough betting on a game when the odds aren’t that great, and sometimes it’s worth it to bet against just because of the risk reward. I’m with everybody else though that the Lakers are going to win this game tonight. I’ll be tuning in. Minnesota just hasn’t been playing that great and now with all the drama and missing players… It’s a wrap.
Minnesota led by 11 points at the end of the first half, so the second half is crucial for the Lakers, especially the third quarter if they want to come back in this game. Since this is a very important game with no tomorrow, they have to make sure they don't make mistakes like they did in the first half.
487  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 12, 2023, 02:29:10 AM
Hawks got the first ticket from play-in tournament and secured the 7th spot. They will play with Celtics. Heat have another chance two days later. Their opponent will be Raptors or Bulls.
Lowry played like Curry. Butler and Herro scored a lot but other players didn't join them and the big difference was offensive rebounds. Heat gave away too many second chance points to Hawks. Hawks got 16 more offensive rebounds, mostly from Capela. You can't play like that in play-in. Well deserved win for Hawks.

Lethal Trae did it again! I really like the Hawks because they always seem to be an underrated team. In that game, they showed how prepared they were and outrebounded the Heat with their aggressiveness and will to win. Now, it's not just the Trae Young show anymore. They have Murray, who can really help him, while their defensive players remain intact. I honestly love their chances in the playoffs, so let's just wait and see what surprises await this team.
488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - June 17 on: April 11, 2023, 10:50:52 AM

However, in this fight, I'm more confident on the ability of Crawford to win the match. Not that I'm underestimating Spencer, but Crawford has more experience and has proven himself numerous times already looking at his records and he has the aura that isn't giving up no matter what happens. But I guess we'll just have to wait and see. After all, the bout is just almost two months away from now.

That's normal. We choose our fighter as it will make the fight exciting to watch. Although both are great boxers and champions, we choose which side we think will win, especially if we are betting at the same time. It's not going to be easy for either fighter, but at least we will finally see them fight, which will prove the doubters wrong that one of them is evading this fight.

Timberwolves suspend Rudy Gobert for Play-In game vs. Lakers
Quote
Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert will miss Minnesota’s AT&T Play-In Tournament opener after being suspended one game by the team, the team announced Monday. Gobert will be available to play if the Wolves lose in the Play-In to the Lakers or advance to the Western Conference playoffs.

Yes, they need him, but what he did was unacceptable. It would be a shame if the team simply let what happened pass by, as that would be selective justice.
Holy molly. This will be a big problem for them. Well then, expect the Lakers to be the first to climb the 7th seed and whoever wins the other game will also have a big chance to take the 8th seed.
Honestly, I also didn't like what Rudy Gobert did. You don't have to use your fist especially with your teammate if you want to be heard.
He has history of anger management, perhaps they should start thinking about putting him in that program to straight things out for him. He shook the whole team with what he did and I wish this will make them stronger like what happened with the Warriors.
Yes, that was a bad decision for Rudy Gobert. He got caught up in his emotions, and now he will miss the most important game of the season. Anderson also has some anger issues as well. I saw some highlights from their previous game where he had some problems with Jalen Green of the Houston Rockets. So, that leads me to conclude that Anderson is not a cool guy either.

Jalen Green throws the ball at Kyle Anderson then Kyle shoves Jalen in the back

In other news, Rudy Gobert punched a teammate in a timeout today. I wonder what will happen now since they have their important game against the Lakers for the number 7 spot. In a normal situation he would be suspended for sure but now I’m not sure they will do it with such a big game coming up.

Pretty sure there will be no suspension on any of the player involved as they are about to play against the Lakers in a very important game this year. However, the Timberwolves ' chemistry now are in jeopardy. There will a two different side of stories regarding that scuffle, and some teammates may pick who ever side they think is right.
Well, they can't afford to lose Gobert though. Let's see if they can sort things out and play like nothing happened.

Nope, Gobert was reportedly suspended in the play-in tournament, and I think we won't be seeing him play again this post season.

491  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tipping Dealers on: April 10, 2023, 07:28:04 PM
For a much better and more accurate response, a person who always lurks at the physical casinos should respond here lol.

Based on my stuck knowledge, referring to OP's mentioned situation, a tip can be in any form, regardless.

Here in the country, like for example "perya" or local games, tipping can be the same as giving money to the one who put some luck to the winning bettor.
Well, tipping does not only limit to chip or money you give to dealers, it could be in a generous gift like a car just like what OP has shared in his story. But definitely, tipping can be in any form, it depends on a winning gambler what he prefer to give. And tipping does not mean you only give to dealers, you can actually chose where to give your tips. If you are generous enough, you can also tip even the gamblers around you that you think they also need funds so they can recover their losses too.
492  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Experience of failure and success can help us control the emotions. on: April 10, 2023, 06:53:39 PM
Failure and success remind me of the Chinese yin yang concept. The concept of yin yang is used to explain the interdependence and complementarity of opposing forces in nature and the universe, and to illustrate the importance of balance and harmony in achieving overall well-being. In trading like the op said it helps to create harmony of our emotions and to have a clear head when trading.
Nothing can go as smoothly as expected, that means that each of us must experience ups and downs. Even a businessman will not be as successful as he seems without ever failing or at least losing money financially, that also applies to traders and investors because they both involve money. The successful are those who keep trying after failing, those who get up after falling until they finally find balance.
Well, I guess life itself has its certain ups and downs, but the good thing is we learn from them and eventually we get up and move forward. Same with trading and investing, failures are inevitable but if we can deal with them positively, mentally and emotionally, it will lead us into achieving success. As failure is never the end of our lives, it’s just a reminder that we have to work on it to make it right and successful.
493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Times When Casinos Will Ask Certificate That You Are A Responsible Gambler on: April 10, 2023, 01:26:21 PM
I wonder what would be the guidelines for having the certificate? What's the procedure?

If that requires looking for the financial aspects of the user, I doubt that is breaching the gambler's privacy. KYC is now slowly accepting even though others don't want it but looking for much deeper information like salary and financial capability, that is not a good thing already.

Government and casinos will just keep the usual way of reminding people to be responsible in gambling.
If they will start digging in with our private finances so they will know if we’re responsible or not, I guess that is already being disrespectful to our individual’s privacy and rights. And definitely, people will not allow that to happen. They will just chose not to gamble at all than to give up their privacy to any third party. However, I don’t think this is near to reality. Casinos will never love the idea for sure as it will only limit their players and most importantly their profits.
494  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Set your mind on your goals and nothing else on: April 10, 2023, 07:50:21 AM
People may not believe in your dreams but as for you who knows what you are doing, you don't need to be discouraged with whatever they are saying. Always be focused on your goals and achievement whenever it has come to reality they will be the ones to call you again for help and assistance. One thing you must know is that anyone who sees you with laptop may not understand the kind of job you are doing, many may take you for fraudster who always seat at home scamming people, so it's better to stay away from people, hide yourself and focused your business.

Lastly, you need to help them because they are your family and friends, right now what I expected you to do is to explain your business to them so that they will understand you more better.
Forget other people and stick to your dreams. If you believe you can achieve your dream, keep doing it and don't give up even though the situation may be difficult. Only those who can strive beyond others will succeed and achieve their desired success, while others will only stop halfway and despair. Just let other people think it's impossible to do and that they might underestimate what you do because they don't know how to do it. And I agree to help your family and close friends, especially those who want to know how you work and can make money.
The thing is there’s no need to get discouraged if you know exactly what you are doing, and that you have high hopes that eventually you’ll succeed in the end. Just trust the process and never lost hope, after all your family and friends who became unsupportive that time are the reason why you became so motivated to pursue your investment so that you can prove to them later on that they’re wrong in their prediction. So instead of hating and turning your back to them, be thankful instead and never hesitate to still help him as they are still your family and friends.
495  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you consider yourself as a risk taker if you buy bitcoin? on: April 10, 2023, 07:10:25 AM
Everything in life has risks, especially Bitcoin. Although it is a worthwhile long-term investment to hold through dollar-cost averaging (DCA), it is still subject to market volatility and its movement is unpredictable.

We may not know what will happen next to Bitcoin in the next hour, day, week, month, or year. We just have to be prepared for it as risk-takers. You cannot call yourself a risk-taker if you have not bought Bitcoin, even just a fraction of it.
Bitcoin is full of uncertainties and even if a lot would guarantee profitability in bitcoin, the fact that bitcoin is unstable and has no fixed value, investing in it is still a big risk, and those who trust and bought bitcoin despite of its volatility are certainly risk takers. Not just for bitcoin but even in real life businesses, those who venture in it are undeniably risk takers as they cannot gain assurance if they will prosper in the end or not.
496  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Investment: Good Debts vs Bad Debts on: April 09, 2023, 10:04:20 PM
I believe it’s a good debt as long as you can manage to pay your debt in time, and the fact that bitcoin investment is the most profitable investment at this time. The only way that it gets bad if you start investing it with a huge amount from a borrowed money and you end up losing them gradually because of your greed. And that made you totally broke in the end and now struggling where to find money to pay the loan.
497  Economy / Gambling / Re: Enough to consider a casino scam? on: April 09, 2023, 09:36:54 PM
Hi friends, I have some questions for you guys about online casinos

What will you do if you don't know that a online casino will ask you for KYC after winning over 8,000$ on the platform? And you now manage to process with the verification and they failed to pass you? Can you consider such a casino a scam?

Also, imagine you get attracted to an online casino because of the bonuses they offer and you open an account and make your first deposit then you didn't receive the promised bonus, is this an act of scam or not?

I am trying to solve such an issue for someone very close to me and that the complaint he gave, I have no answer than maybe the bonus was canceled already before he made the deposit or there was a minimum deposit requirement.

Any other reasons?
Its common for us that once we see failures in casinos, we eventually call them as scammers without realizing that it is us who were not align with the rules or with terms of service that is presented to us before playing. Probably, your friend has not read and understand well the ToS of that casino so he was surprised when a sudden KYC is required. But whatever the reason why the casino has not approved his KYC, for sure the casino has seen an error on his documents passed. He must have reviewed it well before passing.
498  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Before You Go All In on: April 09, 2023, 08:59:12 PM
Before you go all in stop and think about it for a second. Many times I didn't take that second for thinking and I recklessly throw some money (small or big amount). I agree with OP, we usually try to make some quick profit, but all-in is a desperate move and will end up badly in most cases.

... trading is a very competitive market and the volatility is so high that if you do not find some sort of a balance , it will eat you up.

And we really have a very competitive market and very high volatility, and it is not easy for everyone to find a balance and be profitable... in the short or long run! It's risky, but if we don't dare to try and take some risks we can't know the outcome. I guess nobody has a 100% win rate, we all make mistakes and bad moves, and we need to learn from them and it is how we grow and get better in whatever we are doing.
I believe going all in may be somehow motivated by greed, so it’s never advisable especially for beginners. However, if we also stay at our comfort zone without taking any risk, that’s a lot more devastating. But I guess going all in is not that bad as long as you have established your finances and your emotions too, so that whatever is the outcome you will never be completely affected by it.
499  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin usage in crime activity. on: April 09, 2023, 08:46:01 PM
Honestly, it’s even safer to use bitcoin knowing it’s decentralized and the anonymity is high, unlike using centralized fiat that you are often monitored by the government. But with regards to bitcoin as a source of crimes, I don’t think it’s highly possible since fiat is the one that is abused by majority and people do commit crimes most particularly for the sake of fiat.

Congratulations on purchasing your mobile phone, this is a great achievement.
Hopefully, you can achieve the next achievements that are still your dream.
I'm sure many of us have also achieved what we wanted and we still have many things we want to achieve.
Continue what you have been doing and never stop to make more money and believe that we can all achieve what we want.
Surely, OP will be more optimistic to work hard especially in working for himself so he can grow and be an effective quality poster just like others. I’m glad OP you did the right thing of not giving up. Now you are reaping your reward and I can’t imagine how happy you are knowing your ideal phone has been achieved. I hope you will continue what you have started and for certain, you will achieve a lot more in the years to come, just keep on giving your best in every endeavor you take.
