481  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we should prioritize investment over saving on: February 13, 2024, 09:44:18 PM
That's what other people find it hard to understand. Investing your money is a much more profitable approach than simply saving it. Money should be utilized to generate more money, rather than simply being stored away for years without any growth. Failing to make use of your money means you're missing out on potential earnings.
It is going to grow in itself if we invest it to a known investment that we are aware of that will generate us money. But here's the thing, people who are saving probably have thought of investing it.

As with all of these people sharing their stories online, I've come to notice that not everyone can afford to invest. And with that, they are only saving their money so that there's something that they can pull off in times of needs.

For that reason, they can't risk. But I am sure that if they try it a little by little, they'll eventually get to see that they're able to take risk soon but they don't have to force it on themselves.
482  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you beleive in the concept of "Luck"? on: February 13, 2024, 07:30:48 PM
There are people who do believe that rituals and some acts can affect their luck and that's what they follow. But I do believe what you've said that it's natural and simple that comes to everyone in unknown ways.

And I don't think that they're scammed by their own feelings as on how luck moves and based upon. Anyway, with these beliefs, this is really a critical thing to talk about because some people might be sensitive on this matter when they're guilty about someone talking about their rituals and how they're trying to attract luck.

So, to each their own.
A person who performs rituals will always generate many problems. If things are done differently, very different things can be seen. I know people who believe in rituals to make them luckier, so that they do very well. It seems to me. unusual because the workers who do these jobs charge them a lot of money and that is something that we must understand very well that should not be done, lifting things that we do not know, these rituals can bring problems to people's lives, if there is spirits that begin to bother people is due to inventions like those.

I believe that luck exists, but that depends on each person, if a person is good, luck must be greater than that of a person with bad intentions, sometimes luck has a lot to do with the moment, the occasion, It is something very fortuitous and it can happen whenever, for that reason we always have to act well for things to go well.

I didn't know that these rituals are now a business. I think from there, someone will be able to realize how is it milking these believers' money if someone is doing it for them.

It's not a problem if they don't spend money on it and they are the one doing it. Being good and being lucky is what believed by most of us are coming altogether.

If there are gamblers that rely on their total luck and do it with these rituals, we can't blame them as that's what they think is right. But I just feel kind of odd when there's an actual gambler that does pay for these rituals.
483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you beleive in the concept of "Luck"? on: February 13, 2024, 05:52:53 PM
The concept of luck is real and it's natural, I personally do not believe that luck can be invoked through rituals and other diabolic means, people who believe in such things are just being ignorant, and it's another means through which they are deceived and scammed.
There are people who do believe that rituals and some acts can affect their luck and that's what they follow. But I do believe what you've said that it's natural and simple that comes to everyone in unknown ways.

484  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Excessive Bitcoin fees on: February 13, 2024, 04:18:20 PM
What will happen when only large institutions can afford to use Bitcoin's blockchain, due to rising fees?
Even if Bitcoin fees go to $100 per transaction, I don't think that they'll be the only ones to afford to pay the fees. However, I do not wish to reach that point seeing it happen with Bitcoin because I did experience and saw that with ERC20 transactions.

It was a terrible experience and that's why if it happens for Bitcoin which it actually did last year, we just have to wait to let the network and its fee calm down.

Won't this centralize the network if most can only trade bitcoin on centralized exchanges?

The network is already set and it won't change just because only those who can avail to pay the high fees don't make it centralized.
485  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do cryptocurrency increase the standard of living on: February 13, 2024, 11:12:01 AM
Knowing fully well that there is so many uneducated people around the world, how can cryptocurrency increase the standard of living
What is the connection of standard of living and people being uneducated to investing into Bitcoin/crypto?

But let's just say someone who's uneducated started to have interest in investing. It's likely that person might get scammed for having no idea of what he's doing. And from there, they will learn the basics of investing.

With that, the standard of living will increase into knowing about things and learning from experiences. Say that person have already learned and started to invest, that means that person will start to save some money for investment and that's going to give them the idea the importance of managing money very well and how money works for itself.
486  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why are people getting scared to Trade on: February 12, 2024, 11:33:54 PM
Maybe yes.

You don't have to face your fear if there are some other alternative routes that you can go. And with those people that are going with airdrops and bounties, that's what they've chosen as a path to go on.

Everyone can choose their own ways in earning on this market. If you are good in trading then choose to trade and do other things as well. But if you don't want to trade then choose the other limits that you can do.

It becomes an advantage when you want to trade and that's why it's a good choice to go on to with other ways that you're free to do too.

Making sense, I'm still making more research on all these other activities yea because I know vividly there are some task or bounties that requires you to trade in other to gain from it. I think maybe there's a higher chance of making more profit in it.
Yeah, there are airdrops that require you to do test net and add liquidity to their platform. I've seen a lot of people that have took the risk there shared their sweet profits. It's not always happening but many of them that I've seen really made well.

And that's part of it nowadays that you're required to spend some money for you to get better rewards. But this is not always victory remember that.

Same goes to Airdrop, there are some airdrop task you did have to pay a good amount of money to higher percentage when the token gets launched.

Is kind of complicated
That's actual investing and if it's part of the task that you want to pursue, then you are making yourself one of the early investors of that project. As I've said, not all of them are going to be successful.
487  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why are people getting scared to Trade on: February 12, 2024, 10:31:19 PM
Lately, I have noticed in most crypto groups I'm in,  many crypto enthusiasts are increasingly participating in airdrops and crypto events organized by exchanges or project developers to earn USDT or tokens. Is it because these "people" are afraid to trade or they do not believe they can make money from trading? Don't get me wrong, I understand that this can also generate passive income, but what I'm curious about is whether these activities truly yield significant profits or not.
Maybe yes.

488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Changing initial option and losing the bet on: February 12, 2024, 08:20:03 PM
As a gambler and I do participate on physical gambling, at times this scenario often happens to me. After doing my analysis, checked statistics on games, I have selected option I want to play but when I get to gambling center I will have a thought of changing option or adding  a game  to the initial option I selected and this most time will cost losing the bet.

These acts has cost me from losing bet many times, as a gambler share your thoughts on this and have you been in a similar situation.
Then don't do it anymore if it's costing you a lot.

It's normal to change your bets, options or even the amounts for placing our bets. But if that doesn't work for you and if you think that you've got some ritual things to do, you better don't change often.

Only gamble when you're set with your mind and the amount that you won't regret to lose. That's the key there for us to gamble without any regret and without having a bad feeling.

Because if you do so, you'll have a problem in the long run as you gamble and that can even give you some fearsome memories.
489  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which sort of investor are you? on: February 12, 2024, 06:31:40 PM
It is just an impression of people that watches the traders because they're always talking about money and IMHO, that's normal when people look at that part.

If you think that people shouldn't be impressed with what they see with traders and that's incorrect. You cannot change that to the people because it's all what everyone is going to think about when you all talk about money.

That impression won't be removed to the people as the market is existing and there's always the investors sense that they're going to see throughout the market motion.
490  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If I bet big I lose, but if I bet small I win on: February 12, 2024, 10:25:50 AM
Guys, do you often feel like me? when I raise the bet I lose and when I lower the bet I win. Does the casino system/algorithm know the betting patterns we make? So often when we bet big we are given a loss and when our bet is small we actually win, which is very annoying

I don't know if this applies to all games or not, but I feel like this often when playing table games. What do you think?
This is just a placebo effect and it's the same when we trade.

They may have the footprints of our gambling pattern but the system of most casinos is for them to win and have a higher percentage than losing.

It's the opposite for us gamblers and that's why when you bet big and you lose, try to set it little lower so that you won't feel bad when it happens.
491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a wallet that stores more than one crytpo on your desktop? on: February 12, 2024, 08:23:31 AM
Is there a wallet that stores more than one crytpo on your desktop?
There are too many of them but if you're going to store with huge amounts of these cryptos, then you'd better be putting them on a hardware wallet.

Because majority of the multicurrency wallets are closed source and that's why it's better to choose them.

Samurai
Samourai is a known one and please check always the spelling or characters if they're the correct one because you might download the wrong one.
492  Economy / Exchanges / Re: cannot convert my ltc to usdt on: February 11, 2024, 09:08:30 PM
If you don't want to buy anymore crypto then you just better leave it there. If the current exchange where your LTC is deposited and it's under the minimum amount for withdrawal, it doesn't makes sense because you can't withdraw it unless you add on top of that with another LTC more than $5 including the fee.

Telling him the differences of other exchanges and limits won't give him help. He's not even willing to add more so he can withdraw and sell that.
493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you quit gambling for a friend? on: February 11, 2024, 04:31:17 PM
It's easy, if the whole circle of my friends agreed to do it then I'll just do what they do but 100%? No. We can revert our attention into other games like playing computer games where we can enjoy and that might help that poor friend of ours.

It could be quitting temporarily or just reverting attention. As long as there's a help for that friend of ours then I'd love to do it until he comes back to normal.

But I don't know how long I can hold to into helping him but if my other friends feel guilty with the influence. A reminder will come by and I'd just leave a disclaimer that we're not there to help him forever.
494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 11, 2024, 01:06:48 PM
If there are people who have been debating who's the goat, I bet that everyone is going to agree that Thanasis is the goat right now. We all need this entertainment value that he brings not just for his team but also to us.  Cheesy

Let's just give it to him as he's truly enjoying his entire career and look at his brother with that drive he made, proud Giannis on the bench.

Who knows if there will be some good contracts he'll get through shoes endorsements.  Cheesy

Wait a minute, don't conclude yet that he is the GOAT of entertainment.. It's not only Thanasis now as Beverly had already joined the club. Both of them are going to be the energizer of the team, while Pat Bev on the floor, it will be Thanasis job to take care on the bench.

Enough for Thanasis, I think it was a great decision that Beverly was acquired in a trade. I'm sure the Bucks are more interesting to watch especially if they'll get Beverly some good minutes as he can do some hassle in the floor that is vital especially on close games or when they are trying to rally.
Hahaha, Bucks became the source of GOATs for entertainment. After all the drama about changing the coach from Griffin to Doc, now people beloved Bucks again thanks to the goat!

If there are people who have been debating who's the goat, I bet that everyone is going to agree that Thanasis is the goat right now. We all need this entertainment value that he brings not just for his team but also to us.  Cheesy

Getting the Sarcasm aside well this is the 1st time seeing Thanasis Antetokounmpo making 11 points toward the game, it was really amazing but maybe he is training with his brother who really knows, as all Antetokounmpo brothers are just game fodder or bench warmers but maybe he will change we can surely never know.
He's a drafted guy and there's really talent on it. It's just that he's sort of clumsy when he plays and converted that by the fans into entertainment. Anyway, we're just waiting for some crucial time for the Bucks and let's see if Doc is going to trust him with some playing time if that happens.

Maybe he will.
495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 10, 2024, 01:09:32 PM
Haha, Thanasis showing off his game.
Too bad he can only highlight it when they are up big in the 4th. Still is shows he has confidence even though everybody always laughs at him. Gotta give it to him for that.

496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do coaches get sacked over poor performance of players? on: February 10, 2024, 07:14:26 AM
This happens for every sport that has a coach. It's a normal thing and about business relations that whenever the team didn't perform well, it's either the coach is out or the players of it.

I think that most coach understands this and even if they have a contract and it won't be honored anymore by the team's management, they will accept it.

As career in sports is like this. It's a peak of your career when you're winning and you'll just be nothing when your team performs poorly and there's a need to blame someone. But in the end, it's just pure business.
497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have a habit of tracking your gambling progress? on: February 10, 2024, 05:49:10 AM
There is no need for me to do it. For what purpose? Just to see how much I am winning and losing?

I just end up the day tracking them for that particular day and whatever is left or won then that's it. If I lose, then everything has lost that day and I won't be looking at them anymore.

If I think that there is a need for me to recover for that time, it's just going to give me a headache because the potential of losing has always been there. Not tracking the progress doesn't mean that we're not organized, we just don't want to and let happen what has to happen.
498  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I buy illiquid tokens? on: February 09, 2024, 11:12:35 PM
That's risky but if you've decided to do so, try to increase slippage. Because that's most likely one of the ways to buy them when platforms like Uniswap or Pancakeswap don't allow you to but if there's really lack in liquidity, even if you do that, it's highly unlikely going to happen.

I think that I get your idea of buying them because we're going into a bull run and you'll never know if some prince out there try to pump those illiquid tokens and luckily you have them so, that's how it goes.

But are you sure that you like it to be throwing money on them?
499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Selling a property to play gamble on: February 09, 2024, 09:52:33 PM
I am not that addicted at all and if I ever be, I'll never attempt to sell my property just to fund my addiction.
Maybe yo'll make a decision that you don't like when you aren't addicted yet.
Nope, it won't happen. I know myself better.

It's better if we could prevent ourselves from getting addicted in gambling as it could result to doing things like this. Some even became homeless because of gambling addiction, they sold their houses and cars, and everything they can sell just to finance their gambling addiction.
That's true, we've heard a lot of stories that they've became homeless because of their addiction and wrong decision. And with that, it's best not to be addicted and don't get to that point just because you're hooked with gambling.

Stay to just having fun as you gamble and never touch your properties.  Cheesy

Gambling addiction it is, because gambling alone will not ruin our finances, since the definition of gambling is entertainment, we get ourselves entertain but with limitation so the risk of getting addiction is not high.
It is us that are ruining everything. With misuse, wrong decisions and calls, that's how we ruin things and even ourselves and finances.
500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your view and your opinion about Ethereum? on: February 09, 2024, 08:52:56 PM
The second most popular cryptocurrency coin is ethereum, Ethereum is ranked #2 in the cryptocurrency market place. Currently many people are investing in Ethereum and they say that investing in Ethereum can be more profitable than Bitcoin, because they say that when Bitcoin is 100k then Ethereum price will reach 10k. In this they can earn more than Bitcoin.
Those people who are saying that they can earn more with Ethereum aren't just for Ethereum, it's also with any other altcoins in the market and you can't stop them from saying that so because their justification is Bitcoin's expensive for everybody nowadays.

Also, some are saying that once Ethereum's SEC charges are over, the price will rise so much that they will be able to profit more than Bitcoin.
What's the charge about SEC? The security thing? It's no longer a problem that must be thought of.

If it's going to be profitable more than Bitcoin, good luck to those that are just going to buy it lately. Every cycle relies on Bitcoin and even with Ethereum, it does rely on BTC.
