I can only answer for Franko.

We are working on alot of nice projects like a point of sale system and have been adopted by a host of new merchants, including 10 brick and mortar pawn shops in Atlanta Georgia. Ontop of that I have another meeting with my Chamber of Commerce to introduce frk every business in the surrounding area. Its looking up.
Very interesting. Never thought of some of these coins becoming region specific like that.
485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Poll: Which Alt Coin will see the most growth in 2014? on: December 06, 2013, 02:32:18 PM
Mega coin hands down.

Already had 1000% growth from $0.015 a month ago to $1.50 + now, only been around for 5 months.

The Chinese seem to love them.

From number twenty to number 5-6 in market cap in a couple of weeks.

A great development team, the best website and LOTS of new developments in the pipeline...

I have quark, mega stable and a bunch of coins.... megacoin is by far the one that has produced the best results and has the best wallet and developers...

Get into them while they are still less than $5 each...
 Grin
It had a pretty big premine. But regardless, I will be getting a few. lol!
486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Poll: Which Alt Coin will see the most growth in 2014? on: December 06, 2013, 02:30:35 PM
It seems like Quark is developing a following. Can someone give me a rational explanation of why? Is it the name? Is it the Keiser/ Bill Still following? I am just not understanding why it would beat out Worldcoin or Digitalcoin.

1) One of the best security
2) Better distribution than most (QRK audit is still going on by community... check here: http://forum.qrk.cc/thread/368/auditing-block-chain -> 30% of coins in ~30 wallets, that is actually very nice)
3) Nice amount of coins (you can buy everyday items with reasonable numbers, when coin matures)
4) Support of Bill / Keiser (this IS important, can't get around this)
5) Small inflation coded in (coin that is mined out dies, small inflation means more stable)
6) Very active community -> best reason
What is the maximum amount of Quark that can be created? What is the best way to mine it?
487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Poll: Which Alt Coin will see the most growth in 2014? on: December 06, 2013, 02:26:09 PM
Tagcoin.
Added it and several others to the poll that people have mentioned.

1. Datacoin
2. Securecoin
3. Quarkcoin

p.s.

not listing eMunie or Nxt, as they are not altcoins (commodities), but currencies.

Never heard of Securecoin. Looks interesting.

493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should Goldcoin (GLD) be added to the scam/sh*tcoin list? on: November 27, 2013, 03:53:17 AM
I've had a rough day today. Made a few mistakes. Sorry about this whole mess.

The developers have just informed me that the new patch is now being tested.  Smiley
Any details on what exactly the patch will do/fix?

You were moderated because as you know you kept spamming the forum with your website advertising after being warned over and over again. I've already sent a PM to the OP of this thread apologizing because his post was pruned.

This is true, I just read the apology. Thank you for that MicroGuy. I was baffled as to why my first post was deleted. There was also a second that was deleted.

I do understand how some comments are irrelevant blatant spam and should be deleted. But I do not agree with "purging" threads of any posts that are contributed by BitcoinTalk members voicing their opinions and experiences, even if deemed "repetitive."
495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should Goldcoin (GLD) be added to the scam/sh*tcoin list? on: November 27, 2013, 03:28:55 AM
I basically want my goldcoins that I paid for, and I don't appreciate being censored at gldtalk.org for no reason, when I was just trying to ask questions about why my goldcoins were not transferring to the new wallet.
Sounds like the "accidental" purge of user posts happens in any thread controlled by the GLD team ay?  I created this thread to get the truth out without any censorship of whats really going on with GLD. Censorship goes against everything we have achieved thus far on Bitcointalk.
496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should Goldcoin (GLD) be added to the scam/sh*tcoin list? on: November 27, 2013, 03:20:41 AM
That really sucks. It looks like many people are having issues with coins disappearing. 3/4 of the coins I mined have disappeared. The chain has been forked.
497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should Goldcoin (GLD) be added to the scam/sh*tcoin list? on: November 27, 2013, 12:38:34 AM
Let's be honest. Goldcoin (GLD) has more psychological potential of becoming a mainstream currency than any other alt coin. I don't see my grandmother going to the store and paying for something with her BBQCoin or her HoboNickels or even her Feathercoin (I like that one).

I could however see her going to town with her "GoldCoin" or as she would refer to it, her "virtual gold." The concept can be related to the average Joe so much easier than "ZetaCoin" or "PhoenixCoin" etc...

For GLD to succeed it needs to be launched correctly. If MicroGuy was indeed screwed out of 500k GLD, then there are 8 million GLD in the hands of 1,2 maybe 3 people who launched it. The coin will never get far that way. To many miners know how the system works now and wont trust it.

I like the idea of all the GoldCoin not being mined completely for a 100 years and there being some sort of 51% prevention. My biggest fear with BTC is as more miners are forced from BTC mining the network will become more centralized as ASIC companies take over. I think BTC will eventually be surpassed by a non ASIC coin for this very reason.

If GLD were to be the first Alt coin to be "re-launched" with a different initial payout that was to be dispersed between hundreds if not thousands of miners from zero hour onward at a small rate over the next 100 years a very strong initial community would form around it. This could propel GLD to the top 3 in a matter of months. The literal, virtual "Gold Rush" would be on. It would be easy to gather attention and support for a wide spread re-launch. GLD as a scrypt coin could overtake BTC since most people understand the potential of a virtual "gold" to exist.

If the analogy of actual Gold is to be applied to GoldCoin, 10,000 GLD every 2 minutes is not the way to re-launch. More like 200, with 500 initial miners at a higher difficulty.

Aziz1977 is a real person. I was just pruning the GoldCoin thread to eliminate confusion and repetitive comments. Sorry if your post was the baby that got thrown out with the bathwater. Honestly, I don't even remember what you said. Lol.

So you delete posts that often ay? Hell, even BFL didn't stoop that low. To refresh your memory the first post you deleted was:

I like the idea behind GLD & would love to keep mining it. It has some great potential. After all, who doesn't want some crypto Gold with a nice shiny wallet emblem? Wink

But after watching over half my coins disappear I must concur that this 51% defense is on its way to becoming a major mining buzz kill. Back to FTC and WDC I go. Looking forward to the patch.

At that point I was actually still thinking about supporting GLD.

Can anyone confirm the PM I just received is accurate?

You have just been sent a personal message by AZIZ1977 on Bitcoin Forum.

IMPORTANT: Remember, this is just a notification. Please do not reply to this email.

The message they sent you was:

Microguy was not the original DEV. The original DEV was gldcoin who abandoned the coin.

Microguy came much later into the picture when he tried to buy Goldcoins on the forum and was scammed by kr4x for many BTC's.

Micro Guy was paying people 100s of dollars to mine Goldcoin because after a 1GH/s difficulty went sky rocketing and nobody was not mining it.

When I look up this user's previous posts all I see is GoldCoin promotion :https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=112451;sa=showPosts

How many accounts does MicroGuy have?
