481  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull season started? on: November 11, 2023, 06:51:00 PM
Never say never. This growth could easily turn out to be a bull trap. Nothing has changed in the world yet and the crisis along with inflation has not disappeared anywhere. The main trigger for growth is halving, which will be in six months. I think the real growth will start as usual after that.
The same is what I think. I don't actually agree that we are yet in the bull market because, definitely, even if there is every possibility that the Bitcoin price will surge this month, it is not just yet the bull market. I believe that the price will plunge before that halving period, and it's after the halving that we can actually expect the bull market, where the price is going to increase so rapidly. Some experts are predicting $40k, and with the market just staying around $35k, I don't think that $40k is too hard to earn. It could reach the price that most people have always predicted and plunge back.
The market looks pretty solid to me, and the prices are going up after every small dip that we see now and then, but I still see a lot of people talking and expecting a plunge before it touches $40k which is strange but I still feel that they can be right, sometimes, because I was also not expecting the market to move up so quickly, and it will go around $40k before even we reach the last month of the year, but it has happened, we see it getting stronger day by day.

However, the more I think about it, the more I feel that we might see the market going down once again even if it touches $40k within November, and the dip this time might take us back towards the $32k - $31k range. Some people might not like it, but those who are waiting to buy more, will have another opportunity.
482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy on growth on: November 11, 2023, 05:45:23 AM
Hi all. How to buy more when growing? Today we are growing, but I don’t want to buy. Share your experience in this matter.
The question is why are you afraid of buying? yeah it could be the market is picking up, but it doesn't mean it's a bad day to buy,

a. we are not yet in the bull run, so the price is still cheap when you compare it to like when we got to a massive run, resulting into a new ATH
b. if you are thinking or waiting for the price to go up to buy, the question is what if the price doesn't go down? You have lost that opportunity already

So for me, just continue to buy as long as you can, you can do what others have been doing for years, that is using DCA method to accumulate and then just hold on it and wait for the right time to sell to make profits.
New investors usually get confused on such occasions when they have been waiting for a better opportunity to buy but the market deceives them and goes in the opposite direction and then they get even more confused and worried about what they should do now. It's not like there are no solutions to this problem but it is just that they lack knowledge and experience, so they simply keep waiting and leave it to luck and if the market goes down, they buy, and if it doesn't, they just keep watching and regretting.

So, as you said, such people should embrace the DCA method and start buying right from the moment they want to do it because there is never a better time to invest, so when you want to buy, you should go for it instead of waiting for a better opportunity, use a portion of your capital every time to buy some and keep the rest for later.
483  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the right age for financial stability? on: November 10, 2023, 04:04:10 PM
Starting to save and invest early can have a huge impact on our long term financial health. Even if you can only afford to save a small amount each month, it's still worth it because small amounts of money can grow over time if they're invested wisely. But the problem here is our risk tolerance at that age. Do you think at that early age, one can be able to manage and tolerate risk? Yes, it depends on individual but it's a big factor to consider before beginning to invest even as a grown person talk more of upcoming youths. Financial stability is more than just having a certain amount of money in the bank. It's also about having a reliable source of income and being prepared for the future. But the challenges people in that age range have is balancing the current needs with saving for the future. In fact, that age range is the most critical and challenging stage in human life because getting the right priority becomes hard. Is it looking for your own house? Further your education? Or doing investment? And unfortunately, the income is limited.
A person doesn't necessarily have to start investing at a young age, all they should do is keep saving as much money as they can if they become mature at an early age and start thinking and planning about their future. I know that it would be better if they learn to invest wisely and do it as early as possible so that when they reach an older age, they should already have some assets built that will help them become financially stable and not struggle to find jobs and earn a living.

However, it's not very easy to do all that at such a small age. When you are 18, you don't have much experience with things, you are still working on your education, trying to get a degree and get prepared to face the practical world, and it's often not possible for someone to get into investments and stuff at that age, only a few people can think differently and do things that are going to make their future much more secure.
484  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What Reward for a Trading Mentor on: November 09, 2023, 07:01:01 PM
How you would really be that able to determine if you are dealing with the right or professional trader? There's no way that you could be able to determine that yet stats could be faked
and they would really be normally showing off only their profitable trades and hiding their losing ones. This is why you should really be careful on choosing one if you dont really like to experience
out such conditions. There are really moments on which you've been thinking that having a mentor would really be something that could fasten up your learning process but we know that
it would really be something that needs up for you to pay something for that.

You could eventually be able to learn up trading without any mentors on your own. Every information you do really need is really that available online.
It is really just that a matter of effort and time engaging on your part. If you dont just let yourself that being too lazy then you could
actually do it.

Indeed it is hard, most especially for a newbie with a limited knowledge in trading but I think another way to tell aside from the stats and others feed back is by the result that we can get after following their lessons and given strategies and signals. If it is a positive one and we are mostly profiting then we can be sure that we are on the right person already. They can be 100 percent legit.

There are also some who only works great at our early tries but later on not anymore. We must be careful with this one, as they are only doing that for us to make a subscription to them and to their offered groups. We see that finding a good mentor still requires some effort, but why can we just use that instead on learning on our own, right? Not only that it was free, we can also lose less money because we are more sure about our own ability.
485  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Low Liquidity Altcoins on: November 09, 2023, 01:32:14 PM
Hi, does anyone know where I can trade coins such as PLSX? I can not find it in Mexc (and it is one of the exchanges with more coins listed).

It seems I cant open an account with gate.io in my country

I understand that when trading with these coins you have to be careful because of the liquidity issue etc ... anyone with experience with trading these coins?
If you are going to trade this or similar coins only because you think you are going to get a lot of profit from it then I would suggest you don't do it because it's not worth the risk that you will have to take. I know that new and unpopular coins have the potential to gain substantial value after some time if they manage to get enough recognition but that doesn't happen with every project and this is why it will be a total waste of your money if the project doesn't live up to your expectations.

So, don't look at the risk : reward ratio of such coins being high and choose them only based on that and go for more secure cryptocurrencies that might not give you that high returns but they will at least stay around and don't have the possibility of a rug pull or the project becoming a complete failure after some time.
486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 7 ways to earn free cryptocurrency on: November 09, 2023, 12:52:23 PM
How to Earn Free Cryptocurrency: A Comprehensive Guide...

All the ways you described to get a free cryptocurrency are not such, since it requires you to perform certain actions that will take you a certain amount of time. Even getting a few Satoshi from the faucet requires certain, albeit small, efforts from you, which are comparable to the amount of Satoshi you received.
People often misinterpret the word "free" when giving examples or trying to provide guides and stuff. They think that "free" only means that you do not have to spend money to get something, while they ignore the fact that when you put some effort into getting something, you are not getting it for free. When you are employed, you don't spend money from your pocket to finally get a salary at the end of the month, but you provide your services, you work for the company or firm or anything it is you are working with, and they pay you for your efforts and time and the work that you've done for them.

Similarly, when you are completing a certain task to get something in return for it, you are not getting it for free but you are earning it with your efforts and time. Free is something that you get for doing nothing. I'm sitting on my couch watching TV and I receive an SMS that I got some reward from a giveaway or something from somewhere I might have shopped or done something that wasn't specifically for that purpose, now that can be called getting something for free.
487  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to Make a Quality Posts in the Forum on: November 08, 2023, 06:44:03 PM
if the discussion starts with the crypto, then you need to talk on an evidence-based basis and provide references, gives other-to-person helps, and give fact and figure and this is how you can do a quality post
Just to be clear, a quality or constructive post doesn't always have to carry facts & figures, references, evidence, etc. As long as you write something that hasn't been already written by someone and it is of help to the OP if he is asking a question or it serves at least some purpose related to the topic being discussed, it can be considered a quality post. There are a lot of misunderstandings among newbies about what a constructive post is and how one can make it, there is no rocket science in that.

People also think that a long post is considered to have better quality, which is not true. One doesn't need to exaggerate or drag a post and make it too large just so that it looks like a quality post because it's the content and the meaning of what you are writing and not the quantity that matters.
488  Economy / Economics / Re: Btc vs dollars on: November 08, 2023, 05:28:22 PM
Presently, should we say it's good the way bitcoin its been tied to dollars? Dollars is not backed up with any resources but to my understanding, bitcoin is a product of great energy surge. We shouldn't let bitcoin tied to dollars but bitcoin standing on its own. What could decide the durability and value of bitcoin? I have some ideas..
You are misunderstanding the whole concept. Bitcoin is not tied to the dollar or any other currency, the currencies are used just to determine the value of Bitcoin, and one doesn't necessarily have to exchange their Bitcoins for dollars or vice versa. If you use a P2P exchange, you can convert your Bitcoin into any currency, even your local currency, without any problems and you will be able to see the value of Bitcoin in your local currency on that exchange.

So, essentially, Bitcoin stands on its own, it's just that when we need to convert our Bitcoins to cash since Bitcoin isn't yet accepted everywhere, we need to get its value in the currency that we want it, and because the USD is a global currency that is used to determine the value of almost everything that is traded internationally, we often see its value being shown against it, other than that, the USD has no connection with Bitcoin whatsoever.
489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever heard about financing a gambler? on: November 07, 2023, 05:24:11 PM
It just doesn't make sense to finance a gambler because gambling is fraught with the risk of losing money and financing someone with this kind of risk is very stupid. Because gambling is different from investing, where in investing you know the type of business you are financing and how it will move and its future potential, whereas in gambling there is absolutely nothing, you only rely on the luck/skill of the players in the game and that is very risky.
That's right, if you're going to allocate a lot of money, just use it in the right way. It's hard to gamble with a gambler, because there is no certainty if he will win, you will only rely on the luck and skill of a gambler and that is not a good sign even if he is your friend. It is too dangerous to gamble in this situation.
If it's a friend or someone very close asking for funding their gambling activities and sharing the profits, simply ask them to borrow money from you, whatever you can give, and ask them to return it after a specific period and you don't need any share in the profit that they might make from gambling. Don't take any interest or anything but just ask them to return what they are taking from you and they don't have to do anything else other than that.

Believe me, they will not take the money because they know they won't be able to return it since they will lose it all in gambling. People are wise, they just want to make you a partner for the profits that too taking money from you for the whole thing and don't want to lose anything themselves because in this case, the money that is lost isn't their responsibility.
490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tricky situation for Altcoin investment on: November 07, 2023, 02:35:30 PM
Some people who lose money today in altcoins investment did that because of ignorant of knowing when a bullrun will come and when a bullrun will not come, sometimes they follow the steps of the promoters via Instagram twitter and Facebook to rush and purchase some of the altcoins that influencers is promoting and by the end of it those end up of not surviving a bearish, so it's better for investor or whosoever that is investing in coin to know and verify if the coin have a potential or not, so many people invest in a coin in which they have not know how effective is the coin in the market,  so from my observation I think that should be one of the major reasons while some people invested wrongly.
It's all due to a lack of knowledge because new investors usually rush it and instead of gaining knowledge first they start making investments after getting influenced by people who share their success stories on social media platforms once those newbies see that people are earning so much profit from trading, they don't think about anything and start looking for people that can guide them a little bit or start looking for groups that provide signals and start following those signals.

We all know that these signal groups are created by desperate traders who couldn't gain success through their trading and now they trap newbies and charge them money and share signals with them which barely become successful and if they manage to make a few successful trades, they keep sharing them again and again to trap new users into buying their premium memberships.
491  Economy / Economics / Re: New business idea. on: November 07, 2023, 01:51:20 PM
I would have posted this thread on my local board (Nigerian local board) but I didn't because both Nigerians and other countries can still benefit from this little business idea.
The kind of business I want to share is what is called graundnut oil making. This business idea can help someone that doesn't even have a skill and someone that is not even educated, all the person just needs to have is the money to buy the manufacturing equipment that's all.
With this graundnut oil making business, one can get the kind of life he/she wanted because the demands in this graundnut oil making business are a bit high. One can even start with a little money. However, this business is also an investment. If one can dedicate more time to it, he/she can benefit from it (can make it a company).
You can't expect a business that is profitable in your region to be profitable for everyone around the globe as well because some things might be in demand in certain regions only and there will be no demand for it in other regions and someone starting that business will only waste their money. So, I know that your thought process was just to provide a business idea to people so that it may help someone start a business that is both profitable and doesn't require a lot of skills, but that isn't going to work for everyone.

A person who wants to start a business in their locality will need to evaluate their environment and see what products are in demand around the place where they are planning to start their business, and they should do some research about that product and do all the planning and everything and then they should think of starting it.
492  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: November 06, 2023, 05:34:25 PM
I wonder what is more popular in steak casinos - sports betting or slot machines?
I think slots come first
If you see a lot of streamers out there, you will definitely watch and see them playing slot games and we also know that slot games do not require analysis and predictions to place bets, so everyone can play them, even minors must understand how to play slots without You have to learn again, just spin then wait for the win and jackpot because slot games only rely on luck, that's how it works, it's very easy and not like you bet on sports betting.

Sports betting at least you have to master the knowledge about the sport you want to play and every bet of course requires good analysis in order to win the bet, even so it still relies on luck too, if you ask everyone in this thread slot games or sports betting, which one? which is very popular at Stake, of course people will say Slot. because it is a game for all groups and everyone can play it easily.  Wink
I am not entirely sure about that to be fair. Sports betting is a giant in the world of gambling and could there be a lot of people who would love to play that? I think there could be some sort of situation that could make it better. I am not saying it is going to be the most gambled one, but it certainly feels like it wouldn't be impossible to handle neither, looks like it could definitely happen.

I think it would be realistic to say that if one of them is leading, the difference must be not so great and could be something more smaller than what we expected. I believe that stake still doesn't have proper odds, there are other places with better odds, if Stake managed to fix that, sports could be bigger than all other games.
493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be watchful it's not yet time on: November 06, 2023, 05:00:41 PM
Yeah there are investors and traders who actually okay with small percentage of profits
It depends on the buying price of an investor and their profit target. Someone who has bought Bitcoin at $16k will get more than a 100% return if they sell at $35k, and that is more than enough profit for some people. Imagine you have invested $10k in Bitcoin and now it's worth above $20k, you would obviously think of taking profit and exiting the market because there are still chances for the market to go down once more before it gets into the bull run.

The current growth isn't a part of the long-anticipated bull run and it's just a small hype, it's possible that we see the market going down to $30k or below that once again and that would be an opportunity for those who had sold to buy once again and then hold that and wait for the bull run to come.
494  Economy / Economics / Re: Cracking the Code of Saving Money... on: November 06, 2023, 04:38:24 PM
I saw this tip on how to save money on social media. It says that if you receive your salary before anything else or before distributing your expenses and such, the first thing you will do is allocate an amount to your savings, and after that, you can distribute it to other things, such as bills or other things you will spend.
What about those who don't earn a lot? Someone with a limited salary cannot separate a specific percentage from it for savings and then spend the rest on other things because the rest might not be enough. If you earn $1,000 a month and have expenses that covers almost the whole amount or even higher sometimes, you can't have much savings or any savings in that case.

In short, you can't save much from your salary, so find another side hustle that will add up a profit and also add up your savings. Don't settle for less; keep on striving and finding a way to have a better life and bigger savings. That's what I learned.
Exactly, it is not always possible for everyone to be able to save money from the salary you get, that's why it becomes necessary to find an extra source of income, something that will earn you some money that you can use either for your savings or add it up to your budget and take a percentage out from the total for your savings.
495  Economy / Economics / Re: Almost All Countries Affected by Inflation, Opportunity for Bitcoin! on: November 05, 2023, 06:26:54 PM
to combat inflation simply investing in bitcoin that only if we are not in bearish, many people still think of combating the inflation using gold which honestly quite effective but only works for that not increasing the capital for profit but just keeping the value of wealth stable and not getting eaten by the inflation.
in my opinion, bitcoin is still the best among the best investment out there, the rate of returns if someone is good at analysing the market and making best entry would be tremendous.
its unlike gold that just grows very slowly, bitcoin is growing few fold of its ath in previous bullrun.
thats what I think the main reason why bitcoin is most effective to go against the inflation, because the yield is just better.
The value of Bitcoin indeed tends to be more volatile and it has more potential to give you higher returns in the long term, but when it's about inflation, the value of your money or assets don't need to increase to save you from inflation but it can do just good if your wealth isn't losing value in times of high inflation and gold does that very well. Both Bitcoin and gold have their advantages and disadvantages when we talk about investing and holding them for the long term.

The value of gold usually stays stable and even if it moves, the movements aren't that significant to make someone worried, and it tends to move up and gain value in the long run. On the other hand, Bitcoin tends to be extremely volatile and unpredictable, it might be valued at $30k today and drop to $20k in a week or even in a month which is a downside of holding Bitcoin during high inflation.
496  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to build a career with bitcoin? on: November 05, 2023, 03:22:54 PM
Now, people who jump in thinking they can make a lot of money quickly arent thinking things through and are basically playing with fire. No, buying bitcoin wont make you rich overnight, but it can make you money.
That's probably the most common mistake that new investors make these days, just because they have heard or seen people posting screenshots of getting very high percentages in profit through futures trading, they have the perception that the cryptocurrency market is a place for everyone to get rich from without knowing or thinking about the risks associated with it since those who post their success stories and screenshots barely post their losses and failures publicly as they need positive attention and fame.

A gambler needs to understand some of the most basic things including profit and risk ratio and that the market and cryptocurrencies aren't created to make people rich and it's only possible for someone to earn money if they do trading in a proper way after learning each and everything they might require for making trades.
497  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Timely Secret to Profit on: November 04, 2023, 05:01:10 PM
Note: A game for Scalpers. If you are a beginner timely entry to the market and timely exit is your best bet.
Beginners will barely be able to do that because they usually tend to be both, panic sellers and panic buyers. They get confused when they see that the market has already gone up to an extent and they FOMO and buy, and the market starts declining from that point. As soon as they see it going down further, they start selling being afraid of losing all their money. So, newbies need more basic knowledge before they get into all these things and so many technical details.

I always say that a newbie must focus on learning the basics before they get involved with real trades. If they feel that they've learned everything and now they are ready to enter the market, they should first try their knowledge and skills using a demo account just to see and understand whether they've actually learned everything or if their guesses and predictions are still going wrong.
498  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you any of pump groups or Channel ? on: November 04, 2023, 12:16:26 PM
Im on with notourious powerpump team yesterday they pumped yfi i made nice profit with them.
Tell me your experince about pump ? My experinces are good to be honest most of money i Made with pump.
I remember when ETC pumped i Made from 10$ to 500$ in few hours i don't Understood why people don't like pumps it's really great i have made real money from pumps.

Today poweroump team will pump LTC let's see how high they send it
Pump group? Man! You have to be careful, I have friends who have lost a lot from such groups. Although, I don't know how legit this one is, you have to be careful. Is best you get insights yourself from any coin you wish to buy. Even Binance, Bitget and some other exchanges do give insights into coins that do well. You can start from there if you wish
Nothing and no one in the world will do the job for you as well as you can do it for yourself, especially if there is money involved because you will work as hard as possible to not lose your money and make more money with it while others might not be that much careful since they are not going to lose anything if you lose your money. So, there is nothing wrong with being part of a group, listening to people, and brainstorming with their ideas, but the final decision should always be your own and shouldn't be influenced by someone else's signals or analysis and stuff.

That's why, I always recommend people, especially newbies, to stay away from such things as much as they can because as a newbie, a person wouldn't be able to understand everything from a different point of view and they will think that whatever is being said is right and they will earn a lot of money by following that.
499  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin In Bullish or Bearish Trend? on: November 04, 2023, 05:55:53 AM
In the grand scheme of things, Bitcoin has hit the ground running for the next bull market and I believe that we are not going back from here. The momentum that we need to get the price back up to its previous ATH is gradually coming back and we have started to see Bitcoin increase in its volatility than what we had it few months back with little stability in the price. I'm more bullish than I have been in months back.
The market does seem to be strong at the moment because it is not going down that much and after every small dip, it goes higher than the previous monthly high which was $35.2k before, and now it has gone above that already. So, the whole market must be bullish at the moment except for those who are never happy and are always panicking even if the market is rising more than the amounts it's dropping because they are new in the cryptocurrency market.

I wasn't expecting this, to be honest. I thought that the market wouldn't be able to go across the resistance at $35k so quickly and would have a hard time going above that but I guess I was wrong, and the new target is $40k now and we got to see if it can hit that mark easily as well and if that happens, it will become prominent that we are already in the bull run.
500  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: November 03, 2023, 07:49:18 PM
Fulham should not be a problem for Manchester United and I don't think that guy is getting sacked even if he lose that match. The worst case have not happened yet and I believe he is not going to stay back and watch Manchester United reach that level unless he doesn't want to remain in Manchester United.
Yeah that's true because Fulham has a very low performance since last season till now, and they have played 9 matches and won only 4, lose three matches and draw two matches, although considering this record they are good but not good enough to beat Manchester United because irrespective of how Manchester United has been on a serious poor performance this season but I don't think Fulham stance on any chance of winning them. However even if they are playing from home, there advantage will not be enough to win the Manchester United.
This is good opportunity for the Manchester United to regroup themselves after having poor performance in last few matches with Fulham never won against them in last few matches, and they are having enough quality to handle them in this match while they are struggling against the top teams for having better performance with chances are going slim for their top four spot with this unpredictable performance and no one able to understand Ten Hag strategy who he is trying to set this legendary club.

Manchester United having enough quality players which can bring them to higher ranks, but their depth is not understandable and their coordination is also problem which making things worst but if they will be able to set internal issues hopefully we will have best from them.
