481  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You don't need to hodl a particular coin all your life on: February 13, 2022, 10:50:56 PM
Well, hodling forever is a pretty dumb move. Sooner or later you're going to have to sell that coin.
No one will hold crypto coins forever, I doubt if there is someone to have that idea. Everyone who knows who crypto market trends "bullish & bearish", must know when he/she need to buy crypto coins and when he/she must sell the coins. It is clear that in the bullish, the prices of crypto coins will increase significantly before the prices drop again pretty much in the bearish season. So, everyone who knows the bullish will end, must sell their coins as soon as possible. Then, probably buy again in the dip, when the bearish season comes.

We should set selling points whatever the situation would be because if you dont then you would really be missing out chances for you to make profits because there are coins
which do only pump once or several times then dies after or would really be staying up in low value for how many years thats why you should really be that wise on making
actions if you dont really like to regret and minding that you should have made some serious amount of profits but because you are presuming and somewhat been mixed
with greed  then you would surely be thinking off this way.

I have learned that lesson during the height of eth tokens popularity. Remember those days where etherdelta was still popular, a lot of eth tokens were being traded. And look at them now, I am sure most of those tokens are already long dead and gone. So if you feel that you are holding tokens or coins that don't have very good foundation, better sell it while you are still in profit, even small profit. Because later on, you will find out that coin will have no more value and no exchange to trade with. Some are holding tight for the hope of multiplying their profits, but usually it is not the case.
482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NFT MINT] Spell Book NFT - NEW NFT Project on: February 13, 2022, 09:40:10 PM
NFTs is a tough space to be in especially when there's not much budget for your project for it to be promoted.
If you are looking for NFT influencers, you can look them up on various social media platforms like Twitter and even on Youtube. Although, most of these so-called "influencers" costs a lot, even when all they do is mention your NFT.
I would say your best bet on promoting these NFTs of yours is to just mint thousands of them and do a simple giveaway or an airdrop. That way your community would grow and you'd also get free exposure. If you have further budget then a bounty campaign here would help as well.

Based from the OP's ANN, they are not looking for people to promote their platform. So they are just merely promoting their own collectible items in OpenSea and they are holding contest in their discord.

"TO PROMOTERS OF VARIOUS TYPES AND ALL THOSE WHO WISH TO OFFER THEIR SERVICES: Thank you, but we will refuse. At this stage, we do not hire anyone and do not buy services."

For the project owner of this Spell Book NFT, they should post their project in other forums related to this kind of interest. Because this is a specific interest, not many regular NFT fans are interested on owning this one.
483  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India's confusing crypto bill on: February 13, 2022, 08:49:45 PM
So if not legal yet, using cryptocurrency will consider a crime? It's like some countries have been taxing alcohol drinks but it's illegal I'm their country. India making drama form while. They just make things more complicated and encourage people to use cryptocurrency in the black market. Officially announced about Tax, but not yet finalized whether it's legal or illegal. It's just a ridiculous statement to me, not only confusing.

They couldn't make up their mind towards crypto. If they don't know the status of crypto in their country, how can they tax their citizens? Because if their citizens don't know if usage is legal or not, more than likely, their people will hide their crypto transactions from their government so how can they be taxed? India may have confusing stance towards crypto because, they want to get a hold of their crypto users by taxing them, and yet, they don't want to legalize the use of it yet.  Roll Eyes
484  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Oscar Awards 2022 betting thread on: February 13, 2022, 04:05:17 PM
I just see this thread and it make me laugh and awe. That even an event like this can be put in for betting on sportsbooks.
Betting on this should have seen those movies to have better knowledge and analysis who can get the award and I guess this is harder to win than a common sports betting.

Betting on this event, it seems to me, is already quite an old game and we can say that it is quite widespread. At least every year before the ceremony in many media, news about these events are presented as "according to bookmakers, the favorite for the award is ...". When it comes to winning, it's like in sports, the bookies are pretty accurate in their predictions, so it's pretty hard to beat them.

Are you sure with that? This is Oscar Awards, so for me, this is quite hard to predict as it depends on the judges of this event. Bookies may have their pulse but I don't believe that it will be pretty accurate. But anyway, let's see if they can get most of the categories. Bookies are getting money also from this event as some people are really betting because they have their own favorites when it comes to film industry. But if you are not very familiar with their ways of selecting a winner, would be a challenge to bet for the winners.
485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is $Scott the new 1000x Shib? on: February 13, 2022, 10:43:15 AM
I've never seen a shitcoin grow taller than its patriot, as it's highly unlikely that $Scott will ever grow taller than the shib that was hype a while back, so don't be tempted by shitcoin news like this, I think currently it's a memecoin that is still surviving and being kept by users another crypto is doge coin,
Shiba Inu is also still surviving in the market, but for a better price issue I personally can't say for sure, as well as Dogecoin which is currently still able to survive in all markets at a modest price, but for other and very new shitcoins, I doubt for their future survival.

So upon checking the website of this scott token, the site is not secure. The content is just generic content and can be found in most crap projects. I would say, don't trust your hard-earned money to this meme token. I have the feeling that it won't survive long. Very low supply but what's their purpose? I have the feeling that pump and dump scheme will soon happen to this project. And then, the site will eventually be abandoned. It is your choice if you want to invest on this token. But I don't see anything solid that will make this token survive. This will be another short-lived meme token.
486  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲 BetFury.io|⭕️BFG in a Squid NFT World on Biswap⭕️|🏰New in-house game Tower on: February 12, 2022, 11:51:13 PM

Chasing your losses could be the biggest reason why people end up in a loss. I have seen one guy who turned his 300k into 6 million dollars and then reached negative 600k. This was in another casino, it was a big deal in the forum as well and we talked about it on that places topic for a long time, dude was a person who made a lot of money from crypto and who was an early bird so he was capable of affording it that much but that was still insane.

He could have considered something like "I am starting with 300k, if I reach 100k I will stop, if I reach 1 million dollars and above then whenever I drop to 1 million again I will stop" that way he would either have 200k loss and stop right away, but if he won (which he did) then whatever amount he won, he would be able to lose it until he had 1 million and that would be a bit over 3x profit and could get out. Instead dude got out with 900k loss total (300k initial and 600k on top of it).

I think that every gambler has already experienced that! No matter how disciplined you are, sometimes you just start tilting especially if you have had a really bad loosing streak; than you always want to win back your money by playing riskier bets. Taking profits is something were I am better in, but sometimes you just get greedy and want more and more.

For this situation to avoid from happening, if you want an assurance that you will get money even if you continue playing - get some of your funds out, at least your initial bankroll after winning some. So at least, your initial bankroll is already safe and then, you can continue playing with your excess funds. However, some gamblers can't control themselves as they will use all their money. In this case, it is on the gambler's prerogative to how extent he wants to go deep in gambling. If you are given the chance to recover your funds plus winnings, why not put some to safe. So you won't be regretting afterwards if you lose all your excess funds.
487  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How often do you change your indicators? on: February 12, 2022, 10:15:14 PM
Sticking to your best indicators is the best, however, it is not bad to try other indicators as long as it helps you to make profits, so changing it without any valid reason is nonsense, in my opinion. Changing constantly of your indicators could lead to something bad, like losing a lot of money again since you need to familiarize it first before you could continuously make profits from it.
Changing your indicators just for the sake of changing them does not make sense, supposedly the reason we are using our current indicators is because we have a coherent strategy about what we are looking in the markets and how to take advantage of it.

If we change them without any kind of strategy behind them then we are bound to lose money in the markets, however if someone has done their best and found out after a lot of experimentation that another set of indicators make him the most money, then that person is justified in changing the indicators they are using.

Anyone can alter his indicators as long as he knows what's best for his trading strategy. As alts evolved very fast, you also need to adopt what's the applicable strategy for the particular coins you are trading with. You can always deviate from your indicator if your instincts is saying that your new strategy will work on the coin. There's no perfect strategy in this market. It is how you utilize a certain strategy to your own advantage.
488  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Most Popular Crypto Casino & Sportsbook - Watford & UFC Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: February 12, 2022, 09:17:10 PM
~~~
It depends on each user sometimes they want to be treated like a special member who can be served anytime you will find people like this around you
While I just like you wouldn't waste time and money just to get that kind of thing better just enjoy it slowly unless they still provide other reasonable bonuses to pursue
Ofc, each user should be treated personally by VIP hosts but the special privileges for high-rollers don't worth the required insane wagering requirements, just my personal opinion.
I also don't want to chase VIP rewards, since the last 2% on the plat2 account is worth more than $800 on Stake original games. The bonus didn't even cover the loss on the last day. Cheesy
I don't think it is a very savvy choice if you're in the gambling site because of the VIP rewards, because you will spend a lot of money to achieve those levels. And the question is, can you afford  that lifestyle? Better play at your own pace and according to your financial capability. You can attain those levels when you are not chasing it. It will just come naturally if you are a gambler who is enjoying your games without being worried about your financials. You will appreciate more those rewards if you are not too hard on yourself achieving that level.
489  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Is A Better Option Than Fiat Money? on: February 12, 2022, 03:04:13 PM
We cannot throw away Fiat money now that we found Bitcoin, we all invested the Fiat money into acquiring or Investing in Bitcoin hence it has shown it still have its usefulness however, Bitcoin is definitely a better option when it comes to long term hodl. Holding your fiat in the bank wouldn't give you what you would get from HODLing Bitcoin in your wallet over a long time and for now, we cannot spend Bitcoin everywhere like we can do fiat. I would say both have their good.
That seems going to be a problem and that is why we consider Bitcoin as an investment, not fiat that we can use to buy stuff. As the situation remains like this no question that people will choose fiat over Bitcoin as clear to see that the main reason for acquiring Bitcoin is to make a profit, nothing else. Even some merchants and business owners are not supporting Bitcoin to become a currency as they consider the risk of its volatility if that happens which might give them losses. And even seeing for another decade, this will never be changed.
On my end, just be grateful that we have bitcoin today. We can't disregard the use of fiat just because we are a btc user. Majority of the global population are still relying on fiat, and I don't see that changing for the next decade or so. Bitcoin or crypto users may continuously increase in number, but the usage of fiat in our daily life will still be patronized by most. Bitcoin right now, is treated more on investment side as the volatility factor is its main attribute. Whereas, fiat is still the main currency of every country.
490  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Choosing the right exchange on: February 12, 2022, 02:32:22 PM
r
Some exchanges have orders filled with lower price but when you take a look at the volume of those orders it will be less than 1% or simply created by the exchange itself to give more trading volume to coin tacking sites so I always say go with the Kucoin which is reputable and you don't need to worry about your order stuck forever.
I think not an exchange but also some coin only have lower volume transaction, maybe except Binance all coin have higher volume transaction above $300,000. I see several coin on Kucoin exchange market have less volume transaction above $300 between sell and buy order, if try for arbitrage not enough good reason without volume transaction, maybe the problem with coin developer only and not an exchange of Kucoin market trouble.
Certainly, it is not about the exchange but the coin itself. The trading volume will be good if the project is also good and has actual use case in the market. As we noticed, most coins without reason to exist, are finding it hard to improve their liquidity in the market. Most of the time, the dev team itself is the one creating the liquidity if they can't attract traders. And you will see it right away because they can't sustain its market. Whether, kucoin or binance or other small crypto-exchange, it is better to choose a valuable coin rather than go for a small cap coin, which is about to lose its value in the market.
491  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: February 11, 2022, 11:19:36 PM
As time progress and these delays would really be utilize on which they could really have that ample time for them to make out preparations and they wouldnt really let these times comes to waste
when it comes to experience just like on what others been pointing out then there's no doubt that GGG is on the edge but he shouldnt really be that confident because anytime the table could turn
upside down.
If he won then he might have some trilogy with Canelo but of course if he would able to make out some interest but i do have feels that he would really be nearly retiring.
They can use the time delay to worthwhile preparation activities like training and formulating their ring strategy. As we have seen in previous boxing fights last year, there were so many upsets. So if this will be another upset, then, I won't be surprised. GGG is the favorite but we can't take for granted Murata's skills. Even if Murata is in his home court, I have high regards with Japanese people because they are honest people. So not worried about the fairness of this fight.
492  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲 BetFury.io|⭕️BFG in a Squid NFT World on Biswap⭕️|🏰New in-house game Tower on: February 11, 2022, 09:46:05 PM
I don't really agree. I think it is much more fun that you can also win some real crypto while you are on rank 1. Ok, the chances are maybe limited but it is more exciting than just winning Funfury. Maybe with a lot of luck (and a good strategy), you can reach the top 50, but even then the reward you will win is still quite small.
I have noticed that if I really put time on this game, I can improve my position in the leaderboard.
So yes, strategy and your allotted time is important if you want to be included in the top 50 to get the reward.
But if you are already in the top 11-50, is your time worth to get such very low reward?
Maybe if you have all the time in the world to play, this is nice. But if you have other job, I think, you are wasting your time.
It will be a waste of time if a player doesn't reach the top 3 of the competition while trying to wager manually throughout the day. At the same time, an effective strategy with the auto mode is the key to winning this funfury competition. Although I still don't understand how some players can win over 30 million funfury tokens in just 24 hours, I don't believe it's just luck.
I stopped doing this Funfury contest the top 10 numbers is really out of reach for me with minimal time to spend, you can't keep it up if you do this manually you can do auto and set the best strategy by experimenting, those early leaders have created their strategy that is why they are on top, this Funfury contest has given many of us here a chance to win real Crypto with just a strategy and good effort.
Definitely, you will go nowhere if you will play manual here. So what I did in my previous participations was ran autobet. But I guess, it depends on the game and strategies that you will used to optimize your profits. Been several days participating on this one but not getting any close to 50. So maybe I need to change the game and strategy. Aside from that, I don't have much time so am not pressuring myself to vie for top 50. Just play when you have extra time, otherwise, don't push yourself especially if you have other things to do.
493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why a single bet is better than a multi bet. on: February 11, 2022, 08:51:03 PM
Today's #MultioftheDay is a thing of beauty 🖼
-
Tell this man that single is better than multi! Just look at the killer shots, the man totally broke this multi ... it's a good bet, it's not a small amount to put this amount on this multi, but he did it!
Single is only safer ... and for us amateurs, it is much better in the long run than chasing multi (with higher or lower odds) where we are always screwed by at least one game, it has happened to me too many times, I guess it happened many times to many of us! Lately, I am more focused on singles and little profit, eventually, I have two games at one bet slip, but that is max, I don't push it like before!
That gambler maybe is very very familiar with basketball, the reason why he was very confident to have multi-bets and betting a good amount of money. I know, most of us don't have the courage to play big in multi-bets. And I can understand that feeling because I am more on single bet also. But this scenario shows that there are gamblers that can be successful with multi-bets, depending on the sports they are into.
494  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Risk in Crypto Assets Portfolio on: February 11, 2022, 02:28:38 PM
The market is volatile and many people now would like to buy some bitcoin in some parts it depends on them if it's good for a long term or a short term investment. Most people hold their assets, especially bitcoin. I'm not a professional trader but I have experience since 2021 and a possible risk most of my assets is the bitcoin dominance we know the potential of the bitcoin when it dumps most of the altcoins have a higher percentage to lose or to lower the value.
Risk is literally can be found in all forms of investment and much more when it comes to trading. I assume that everyone is already aware of that position before entering the crypto world. That is why we need to know how Risk Management applies in real life and importantly we have to know that. And that is why we have to choose those projects that are good for investment either long-term or short-term so we don't need to worry if we miss the opportunity to sell.
Most people when they enter this market are unaware that just as they will make a lot of money in case of a big increase in any investment, they can also lose a lot of money in case of any price drop of any currency. this is something that few people think about before entering this market and what you see is the extreme greed of wanting 10X profits
That is actually the most common misconception of most newcomers in the crypto industry. Because they thought getting easy money here is that easy peasy. And then, they will find out that it is not what it seems. With thousands of alts to choose from, for sure they will be confused where to start. As some are after for get-rich-quick projects, a lot are being screwed by these scam projects, giving them bad experience in crypto. And this is where some negative feedbacks are coming from. But it is not the general character of crypto, misleading some noncrypto users.
495  Economy / Economics / Re: Are Renewable Energy sources the future? on: February 10, 2022, 11:13:19 PM
We don’t know that yet, but the world is taking every opportunity to switch to renewable energy sources. Nowadays you can see a lot of campaigns that are promoting the use of renewable energy sources, and condemning the use of fuel and the rest of other sources that are harmful to the environment. It is like a regular thing these days, and there are also companies now that are more focused on having energy sources that are renewable and not harmful to the environment.
This trend seems to be growing day by day, and as time goes on it’s quite possible that it would become a huge trend and most companies would be switching to it. I don’t think there would be any that would like to be left behind when most others have switched to a better source that doesn’t harm the Environment.
Climate change is a global problem that we are facing today. This is why the rise of utilizing renewable energy sources is very much encouraged. And this is true, because more and more people are going into the use of solar panels or wind turbine and other renewable energy. Even in construction industry, they are promoting the green construction concept. I believe humanity will indeed find ways how to address this global problem. Because it is on our hands how we want our future to be on this planet.
496  Economy / Gambling / Re: MysticBets.io - Community Owned Sportsbook on: February 10, 2022, 09:31:28 PM
I don't understand how this website is owned by community and what community is that?
Honestly speaking I think that mysticbets is a bad clone of Sportsbet interface, it's using same square icons on top for all different sports like Sportsbet.
You can see and judge for yourself, this is MysticBets:
-
https://web.archive.org/web/20220210204022/https://mysticbets.io/
This is original Sportsbet.io website:
-
Other pages look exactly like for sportsbet website including Terms, and I don't see any license fir this website so I would stay away and not send any coins for betting.
I don't know if this website is made for scamming people with their token, but I would not use it myself.
That's the first impression that came to my mind when I visited the site. They seemingly copy the interface of sportsbet. Though they are just starting here, they need to make their own identity on this community and not copy someone else's layout. I believe what they meant about owned by community is because if you are a holder of their token, you will receive your share of their profit. If they are sincere in expanding their operations, they will improve their site by listening to the valid suggestions from the users.
497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: That is why play to earn concept is a massive failure on: February 10, 2022, 08:40:05 PM
Quote
The play-to-earn model on its own is unsustainable. By its very nature, it creates an unsustainable pyramid scheme-like system where new players buy in only to create and sell digital goods to those who buy in after them. Above and beyond that, it creates a culture of virtual indentured servitude where individuals are dragged forward by the threat of a lost investment to play a video game at the cost of their own mental and physical health.
All the games build upon this same structure and there is nothing new other than skin color and weapon design. High entry fees in the game and high challenge for new users is demotivating new users to join the system. Only early adopters are earning massively because of those unique teams they got. Unique users registration is decreasing day by day which shows the hype is going down with flame.
Never tried any of those play to earn games, but all I know is that this is something new and still on their early stage. Right now only small independent developers are making the games. They may all be similar, but eventually some better and good games might be developed in the future by some AAA industries.
And the play to earn mechanism will never work. As more people starts to play, the less people will be earning. Only early birds that are lucky will be able to make some good fortune. Rest will have to spend money and try their luck.
These P2E gaming platforms are banking on the players that will buy their access to get in their site as well as buy the items (character, skin, power, etc.) needed to play the game. That alone, they can already generate good amount of money. But this is still up to the player if he will join the game or not. In the end, it is the choice of the user if he will play or not. Now, some are offering free P2E games, so if a user doesn't want to spend money, look for this kind of platform. No one is obliging to buy and join in this kind of gaming model. And right now, it is not yet considered failure as more projects are introducing this kind of gaming concept.
498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Upcoming Apple iPhone feature for crypto payments on: February 09, 2022, 09:49:44 PM
Would be nice if they can integrate it on Apple watch, too. I know they will since that watch is great on payments on the go, especially on public transportation. This is an okay news for people who are already accustomed to tap-to-pay features, and at the same time engaged in cryptocurrencies. The scene is developing day by day, and I think we're not far from a reality wherein phone manufacturers have this feature on their phones by default.
I don't know about the Apple watch, cause the Apple watch is not secure as iPhone. But it would have been great news if they had really added cryptocurrency to their Apple Pay apps.
I think they will not integrate the tap to pay feature for cryptocurrency on Apple Pay in near future. cause I've seen Tim Cook's tv show, he said people can use cryptocurrency on Apple Pay by using 3rd party credit cards like Coinbase cards/Crypto.com cards. So they are thinking it is useless to integrate cryptos in Apple Pay by default.
If they are charging competitive fees, Apple Pay users may really benefit this added feature. But usually you end up paying expensive fees in this manner. And you will see that paying fiat is still the best way. So let us see what rates they are going to implement on using this feature. On the other hand, it may encourage their users to try using crypto transactions. And if the user is satisfied, they can contribute in the growing adoption of crypto users.
499  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 1xbit blocks withdrawals with 0.53 BTC in account on: February 09, 2022, 08:41:38 PM
You should not make yourself so busy right away, in your screenshot it says Sunday that the mail conversation was and today is Wednesday, that is only 3 days later. give 1xbit time to look at it and fix it and what's wrong with a verification? That happens on every site these days and things like that can take time, it happens with every bookmaker.
3 days time should be enough i would say 1-2 days maximum yet verification wouldnt really be taking that too long and there were no clarification on what violation did OP make.
Actually im not surprised that these issues do rise up knowing on the current reputation of 1xbit on this forum then it isnt surprising that they will likely be having these kind of behavior.
Locking up funds when you do win and tend to withdraw which it had been countless times that people are making out some warnings on here.
My instincts is saying that this is just another delaying tactic from the site. Most verifications can be completed at least couple of days. But given the reputation here in the forum, I doubt they are doing something on his case. High likely that they will freeze his account for something that he violated on their ToS (just to find something). Remember, they are holding signature campaign here but those that are joining are given negative trust because of so many unresolved issues of the site, and yet, they still want to promote it.
Also, the OP can move this to the scam accusations board.
500  Economy / Gambling / Re: Can you manage gambling addict by taking drugs? on: February 09, 2022, 01:57:00 PM
No, it won't. That's a pretty dumb mindset to have ngl, Yes, it might remove him from his addiction from gambling, but it doesn't really solve the root problem since drugs would simply replace the void that was opened up due to forgetting about gambling. I honestly would recommend getting another hobby instead, maybe Gundam building, jogging, biking, idk. it may seem more expensive than gambling, but I'd honestly say it's a lot better since it wouldn't turn into an addiction, unlik gambling.
The better way indeed is to find another activity that will freshen up his mind. But with the situation in most countries, it is still hard to move around why a lot are still preferring to stay at home. And you can only do much when you are inside. Maybe as a start, he needs to see a professional doctor, and asks his situation. Being in the depressed mode or with this anxiety thing is very hard and most of the time, you can't manage it on your own.
