thank you for your answers.
i have downloaded cgminer 3.7.0
i have extracted this archive, i have added a startmining.bat file with the following text
"cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://pool.testserverino.de:3333 -u logn.workrlogn -p password" with usernames and passwords, and now if I click on startmining.bat , a black window appears that i have simply started cgminer 3.7.0, and nothing happens next

I have tried both 3.7 and 3.7.2 for scrypt mining and both are buggy.  I use 3.5 and have no problems.  The screen you see is trying to connect to the pool, but my guess is that it is the version of cgminer that is having issues.  Try 3.5  I'm mining on testseverino now with it.  3.5 has mined over 3.5m Doge for me.

I still do not get how to mine coins.
I have an account at http://pool.testserverino.de/ , i have created a worker , and also I have cgminer downloaded.
but how do i configure it goddamnit? can I mine through the wallet, or do I need to create a bat file for cgminer? if I need to, what should be written in the file?

Save as a .bat file

Quote

Replace xxxx with your worker name and password.

Our pool is at Block 6967 right now....

Has difficulty increased yet? Any way to see how many blocks have been mined?

Difficulty has tripled in the last 24 hours and is still going up. I don't know how many blocks are mined but I believe around 7,000.

I did a few chores and checked back and it's already started to payout.  Awesome.  I've never mined P2Pool before, does reward drop as difficulty increases or does it stay about the same since there is also payout from transaction fees?

Thanx
P2pool pays PPLNS so you get chunk of each block found depends on your power vs pool power.
Because block reward is random you will get from 0.001 to 100k per block Tongue

Check your pool.  More rejects than accepted.  Not my settings either.  I have been working them for 45 minutes with the same results AND my firewall is open both ways for this pool.

Hey, can anyone tell me, how much coins you get from one block in average? So it says 0 - 1 000 000, so on average 500 000?

Depends how you're mining.  If you have a high power rig that can solo mine, could be.  If mining in a pool, it's share based.
488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency - many coin - wow on: December 11, 2013, 07:55:32 PM
How long to see payout once a person starts mining.
Code:
2013-12-11 20:33:56.085190 P2Pool: 5794 shares in chain (5798 verified/5798 total) Peers: 4 (3 incoming)
2013-12-11 20:33:56.085982  Pool: 46039kH/s Stale rate: 19.2% Expected time to block: 9.0 minutes
2013-12-11 20:33:57.006997 New work for worker! Difficulty: 0.003737 Share difficulty: 0.116793 Total block value:
So Pool is finding block every ~10 minutes. If you find valid share on diff >0.11 (not 0.003 which is reported by miner) you are in payout list.
Each share if valid up to 12 hrs but not more than 10 blocks.
If you are mining >500kh/s you should see first coins after 10 mins. BUT P2pool is paying directly from block, so it have to mature b4 you can spend them.

I did a few chores and checked back and it's already started to payout.  Awesome.  I've never mined P2Pool before, does reward drop as difficulty increases or does it stay about the same since there is also payout from transaction fees?

Thanx

Pool stable and running smooth, lots of payouts, much coin, more miners Wink

Hey, Mike you might want to check things.  No earnings are showing on the dashboard.  I noticed this when I got up today, so I cleared my account, rebooted the rig and started again.  Been mining about 45 minutes and nothing is showing in Unconfirmed.  Sorry for being such a pain Undecided  There should at least be a little bit there.

For an alt currency this retarded, there should be a completely retarded and insecure online wallet so I don't have to run a node.  After all, the retarded Qt client doesn't work on my old-ass MacBook.

Sucks being you Tongue

Did a test withdraw about 15 minutes ago and still hasn't been processed.  Do you have payout turned on?

EDIT:  Still no payout and it's almost 45 minutes now.

If some of you are interested, I created a new pool: http://doge.cryptovalley.com

The pool is 10 minutes old so the hashrate is low but I offer 0% FEE FOR LIFE to the first 30 members, come on, be the early-adopter of the pool, by the night the others will follow and we will begin to find blocks and you, early adopters will pay no fee at all Wink

PS: the servers are located in New York City with very good latency and I promise you no downtime (I am registered on this forum since June 2011, so i'm not like these guys who know nothing 'bout cryptos and start a pool with 2h downtime per day)
That's cool, just signed up.  Maybe the LTC/day should be Doge/day?  Just my .02.

Thank you ! Lol, you have good eyes! Done.

Haven't gotten any payouts yet. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Me too.  I moved over to Testservino's pool for now.  Around 23Mh for the pool and that's plenty to find blocks.  Fast too because it's not overloaded.
