That's possible if you only trade a small amount there. Trading on small amount on Polo doesn't need your account to be verified. If you want to buy huge. You're gonna need to verify your account there. If you will do that, you can't have another account since you already give your ID to them. My suggestion is, store them to wallet. Better if you store it to an offline wallet. Since your goal is long term. Why not keep them on your own?

Yes. That is true. They created this wannaCry malware to promote bitcoin. But not in a good way. Sure it increases the popularity of bitcoin. But i don't think their impression about bitcoin will be good. For me its more on negative than positive. Hackers are very hard to track. And now, its even more because they use bitcoin.

Freebitco.in is a legit site. But still i don't trust online wallets. Maybe they should keep the site as lottery and faucet site. I think it will be better if they make it as a gambling site. I don't want to hold a lot of altcoins. Maybe just 1-5 altcoins are enough to me. But right now, i hold only three altcoins. CRBIT(Creditbit), XRP(ripple), and DGB(digibyte). I only hold little amount of them and still want to add two more altcoin. I think i will add ETH and Waves. Just to make sure this will cover my losses when someone crashes.

Bittrex is not requiring identification afaik. Only email verification. Ofcourse its for security reasons. One of major altcoin exchange. Only few decentralised exchange are existing this days because of governments intervention. I also use Polo. Im only trade small amount there. I don't have to give my id since i trade small amount.

You're right. SPV wallets doesn't require you to run on full node or download the whole blockchain. They're lightweight and easy to use. About the transactions. The speed of transactions are depends on its fees. The higher the fee. The faster the transactions to be confirmed. Don't put the fee below normal to a oid inconvenience. Putting manually fee below the recommended fee can cause the transaction unconfirmed or takes a long time to confirm.

I suggest you to start study the market first. How this markets works and how to trade on exchange. You can't just jump into market and buy anything you want. That's the common mistake of a newbie on trading and I've been through that. Its hard because i lost a lot of money. But i learned a lot. Trading is a risky job. You might lose your money if you don't know how to analyze. I suggest put a little amount first and you feel comfortable then go buy huge. You don't need to be full time on trading. I only use electrum and mycelium. Its secure and i recommend it for you. There are also online wallets like Xapo and Coinbase. I suggest don't use them to avoid inconvenience. There are many people who are complaining about these wallets. I don't use other wallet aside from electrum and mycelium.

That's why the authorities still have no idea who the hackers are. I think its the perfect hacking in history. Because no trace at all and it worldwide. 150 countries, absolute incredible.
