487  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Blockchain in SQL format on: September 18, 2011, 05:35:39 PM
I would like to export blockchain transactions in SQL/CSV format. What is the best way to do it? Except scraping http://blockexplorer.com to death

490  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin comeback index on: September 17, 2011, 08:40:44 PM
We must have some index that shows BTC amount entering into exchange from the distant past.

For example, I would like to see how much of BTC that are 1 year old entering into transactions today.

Something like:

SELECT SUM(BTC) FROM CurrBlock WHERE TX_Previous_output_dt < NOW() - INTERVAL x MONTH
491  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: New block explorer type site needs testing / feedback on: September 17, 2011, 08:20:20 PM
Destroyed bitcoins lacks threshold, like 1 week or month. I think putting 1 week threshold will filter out noise (pool payouts etc).

What I mean, do not include transaction if its input is less than x time old.

PiUK, how hard will be to implement it? What do you think?

Can you add horizontal line showing BTC supply rate at http://pi.uk.com/bitcoin/charts/bitcoin-days-destroyed?timespan=1year&showDataPoints=false&daysAverageString=7 chart

too early for this kind of interaction...
494  Economy / Economics / Re: Naked Short Selling Bitcoin on: September 12, 2011, 08:04:45 AM
In addition to the above: some potential players actually audited the source code for the Satoshi bitcoin client and know that it contains the code to reverse transactions (chain reorganization) and change transaction timestamps in direct violation of the GAAP (or their equivalent throughout the civilized world).

And yet the bitcoin promoters continue to advertise that there's no chargebacks in bitcoin.

Can you point me at this thread?
495  Economy / Economics / Re: How fast the system will accomodate if the price makes mining uneconomical? on: September 11, 2011, 10:26:50 AM
I think it will be after BTC post-collapse first electricity bill Smiley
496  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoinica - Advanced Bitcoin Trading Platform on: September 11, 2011, 09:08:12 AM
My design approach is to take out the noise: If Bitcoin is really a currency, why should we care so much about BTCUSD's volume? Why should we even see the order book? I know these are two important components for every market, but it's not important to everyone.

I still appreciate your coding skills but... we are making new economy here and you are selling "sugar water" or gambling site...

17 years old made it??? Holy shit. You must be genius, zhoutong.

Very impressive!

My daughter is 2.5 old. She barely speaks but handles my Nexus S... its called evolution.
What you have achieved as knowledge is built-in in your kids.
498  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to sell BTC at $15 rate on: August 19, 2011, 08:22:47 AM
$15 or $10000, it's all the same.

Of course you right here..
499  Economy / Trading Discussion / How to sell BTC at $15 rate on: August 18, 2011, 02:42:05 PM
Just put $15 into sell order... The more miners will do it - more chances that price will get there...

Fantastic, isn't it?
