I agree with you that it itself is a good altcoin but it wont replace bitcoin IMO. It went up before the BCH clique (in fact a very little of number of very wealthy people) bought them after it got dumped logically by anyone.
And that is also what they are doing right now. Some of them still has not got a good return on their investment so they are trying to manipulate price. The scene right now is very similar to the times when bitcoin can be easily manipulated by Chinese but either way I dont think that bch would ever surpass bitcoin. |

I went to the bitcoincash.org website and used their links to download wallets like ElectronCash. Norton is recognizing them as viruses. Are they really viruses or is my antivirus scanner just acting dumb?
Please note: I clicked the electroncash site from bitcoincash.org so there is no way I was directed to a false site.
So far I told my virus scanner to recognize this program as safe but I will not install it until I get some direction here.
That was probably a false positive on Norton's side. In my case my antivirus doesn't detect it as a virus, so I can say that it is safe to use assuming that you really downloaded electron cash wallet on official link. For now just turn off your antivirus before using bitcoincash wallet. You can also add it on exclusion list of your antivirus. |

Bit of a newb question here, but it has to do with selling my altcoins. So I bought Ethereum when it was $200, and now I want to sell it. Make a nice little profit there.
But wait! Now bitcoin has gone up to $3100. When I bought the ETH, Bitcoin was only at about $2500.
Am I losing anything? Am I gaining anything? Or has nothing changed? This one is a bit of a mind bender for me.
In terms of bitcoin, you haven't really gained anything and maybe you lost some because there will still be fee. In terms of dollars though you gained. To determine if you really gained or lost, choose what you want to base your trading into, USD or BTC. That way you can really determine when to sell because you are in gain or not. |

Thanks for the reply guys.. greatly appreciated  So what my strategy is buy tons of cheap altcoins mostly the ones who have dropped maximum in 24 hr, rinse and repeat lol. That really depends since there is a chance that the coin you will invest in will dump all the way to 1 satoshi and there is also a chance that it would go high again after a month or more. It is like a gamble but always remember to not do the stop loss strategy, which is panic selling because it removes future possible profit. Just hodl and sell when you got nice profits already. |

Before we know Trump will start shilliing ICOs from the POTUS twitter account... It really loooks kinda absurd, and here is two theories why he is doing it. Alam nating lahat na magkakaroon ng fork sa August 1 at medyo curious lang ako, pano ang gagawin ng coins.ph sa august 1? Susuportahan ba nila yung fork na darating at ililista ang bitcoin cash, na syang sinasabing another bitcoin chain at iimplement kung ano mang changes sa bitcoin sa kanilang mga wallet, o hindi?

Currently I only have $1000 to invest, so I was think that I would put 50% of this in Bitcoin and the rest in Alt-coins. But then I thought that it would be a waste. Whereas Bitcoin maybe could 2x-3x in the distant future, if I do enough research and find good alt-coins they could 5x-10x. I really want to own bitcoin but I feel like it would be a stupid investment decision to jump on to bitcoin at this moment with this amount of capital. I plan to start invest $1000 every month starting 1 month from now, and when I have enough money to buy 1-3 BTC I will buy some.
The ROI looks to be greater in alt-coins right now, so should I just focus on those for now? I'm looking into Waves, ICN, STRAT, GNT. I will miss out on free BCC if I go this route, would it be worth it to buy BTC for $500? Just so you know I'm a long term investor. I want to hold for at minimum 6-12 months at a time. What do you recommend me to do?
It is better if you will go all in onto bitcoin now rather than altcoin to get some free BCC, then after that just continue your plan of investing long term on altcoins. If you really want to gain more profit of a 1000$, you should maximize your stash first by getting some freebies after the fork, then go invest onto alts afterwards but still I don't think it is wise to go all in on them. |

Umh my newbie lang ako sa pagearn ng bitcoin my napansin kasi ako yung BTC taas baba. So my oras(example mga 3am nataas) ba na tumataas yung BTC ? Unnawain niyo sana ako baguhan lang talaga. Pero ang alam ko taas baba ang BTC pero yung nga gusto ko malaman kung my oras ang pag taas at baba nito.
Walang eksaktong oras ang pagtaas at pagbaba ng bitcoin para sa iyong kaalaman. Random ang pagtaas at pagbaba nito ng presyo at atin itong mahuhulaan sa pamamagitan lang ng mga balita dito sa forum at sa iba pang site, dahil minsan yun ang nagdidikta kung tataas ba o bababa ang bitcoin. Kung di ka sigurado kung kailan bibili o magbebenta, bumili ka pag bumaba at magbenta pag tumaas. |

If you want to do stop loss strategy, you may sell your XRP with a loss now to lessen what you might lose in the future but if you want to earn in your investment, hold that for at least a year and wait for a year of it not going above the price where you bought it before doing the stop loss strategy, but it is riskier. Even if that is the case, a possible profit won't be taken to you because a year is long and many things can happen during that period. |

How to identify whether an altcoin is scam or not? This happened with me today. I bought ACRN coin from yobit yesterday for 0.01btc and today morning its price was 1 satoshi  Doomed!! One can easily know if an altcoin is scam or not, especially in yobit. If one wants to know if a coin is scam or not in yobit, just look at how much it's pumped. If it is pumped hard with at least 400%+ gain, and has no good roadmap or even an announcement thread of it's own, then it is sure to be a scam coin. Also, try to search the particular coin on coinmarketcap and if it is not listed there it is sure to be a scam. |
