In a world that the GPU's are purchased faster than the toilet paper, what are moves that somone has to do, except from waiting until May, to find and purchase GPU's in large amounts?  I know that this is more than a rhetoric question, however there must be some things and some shortcuts that can be done. Happy to hear any crazy idea  Many people also sell their graphics cards because they need money. See all used computer sales bulletin boards in your area and buy video cards. If you can quickly pick up the item and pay in cash, then you have every chance of being the first customer. |

No surprise.
Sata can provide a MAX of 54w. PCIe slot (riser in this case) must be able to supply up to 75w. This is why it is a bad idea to use a sata to power a riser.
The actual specs require either a molex or a 6pin plug to provde enough power. Sata does not meet it by almost 50%.
You can find plenty of sites that list the specifications. You can ignore the facts. When you melt or burn ... its on you.
If there are 3 sata power connectors on 1 wire, and 1 hard drive can consume 20-30 watts, then the wires must be designed for a load of 100 watts. If the wire melted, then the transmitted power was more than 100 watts. |

I only have 4gb ram on this rig. Do you think that's the problem? Man, the problem is not in the amount of computer RAM. Have you heard about OpenCL problems when a file larger than 4 GB is loaded into the video card memory? Update the drivers from the AMD website and enable the compute mode. If I'm not mistaken, the OpenCL issue was resolved in July 2020, and you can use any drivers newer than that date. |

не, держу пока. стопы передвигаю. уверен, что рекорд побьем, но как далеко зайдем - хз. карты просядут позже крипты. хочу поймать момент и слить всё старье на падении крипты, но до падения цены в пол. и ждать. думаю не больше года, скорее меньше. Уже побили Сейчас как полетим на дно Летом у хомяков перезакупимся, если самих не нахомячат Сейчас нужно из всего шлака выйти, потому что полетит вниз за биткоином. У меня на половине ГПУ СО развалилось, работают вентиляторы на стяжках, и с фан контролем нет проблем. |

Не думаю что сейчас лучшее время продавать видяхи. В попытке перезакупиться более новыми можно ничего не купить, т.к. спрос повышается с каждым днем и рынок в какой-то момент просто не сможет обеспечить этот спрос. Если ETH и BTC продержаться на этом уровне или будут еще дорожать, то старье окупится за несколько месяцев. С окупаемостью согласен, но есть еще другая математика. При ограниченной розетке поменять 480/580 1070/1080 на 3060ти, добившись меньшего или такого же потребления и увеличения хешрейта. С другого бока, для закупки нужно продать эфир, а держать его выгоднее, чем майнить Сложно найти золотую середину. |
