a criminal offense, The Mods & Theymos could be considered Accessories,
because they have access to information that could identify her and are hiding that information from legal authorities.  Wink

Scam Accusations
Investor-based games

Should they also worry about these? It's a neverending supply, by the way.
4802  Other / Meta / Re: @Theymos, This is the Lauda you Protect while she ruins others reputations on: May 08, 2017, 09:36:11 PM
Iamnotback got perma ban for a few posts & evasion and another guy ban for plagiarism.  Shocked

But extortion only gets you no longer officially a staff member, which by the way Lauder had a friend that was still a staff member ban me for 7 days, so she did not really lose anything at all.

Maybe it's because plagiarism and ban evasion are against the rules and clearly indicated, while the conduct you mention is not? Roll Eyes

FYI: If you are to bring legal matters into here, then you have no idea how long the staff would be working on simply moderating scams. Additionally, there would be a great deal of subjectivity and I don't think you trust the staff enough for that. Wink
4803  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Crypto-Games.net - scam! on: May 08, 2017, 09:31:36 PM
I AGREE WITH CRYPTO-GAMES BEING A SCAM SITE

I've had some bad experiences with crypto-games.net also.  Very very unlikely streaks have happened. I WILL NEVER PLAY THERE AGAIN.

Regarding the original thread, check out this streak calculator tool
https://www.sportsbookreview.com/picks/tools/streak-calculator/

Put in probability of loss 3%,  now put in streak length 10, series length 1,000,000

guess what ?!!  0.00% probability.

I think this merits proof unless someone can say that the streak calculator is flawed.

Are you an idiot?

You can't seriously believe that it is literally impossible to reach that streak within that amount of bets.

Here, let me show you some basic statistics.

If the probability of loss is 3%, then we can express that as a fraction: 3/100. If the streak length is 10, then you need 10 of those bets in a row. Which would be 3/100 to the power of 10, otherwise known as 59,049/10E20 (59049 over 10 to the 20)

Since this streak may occur at any bet number below or equal to 999990 (since your cap is 1 million) you can multiply the above fraction by that amount to find the probability of such a streak.

That becomes 5904840951 divided by 10^19, which is a non-zero value.

This expressed as a percentage is 0.00000005904840951% which means that it is possible to reach such a streak.

Moreover, just because an outcome is unlikely does not mean that it is impossible.

I don't want to reveal the strategy and I don't expect it to win all of the time. However, after having it work for 100,000 bets straight and then failing 4x in a row with under 1000 bets each time, I'm lost any trust in crypto-games website.

As time goes on, you approach the expected value, which is a value less than 1 due to the house edge.

No strategy is winning and this is mathematically proven.

as a reminder here are the rules of trust on this forum:
Quote
- List all of the trades that you do with people (or at least the major ones). This is not like #bitcoin-otc where you give people just one score.
- Do not rate people based on the quality of their posts.
- Older ratings count for more, so don't delete old ratings if you can avoid it.
- "Risked BTC" is how much money you could have lost if the person you're rating had turned out to be a scammer. Or, if they are a scammer, it's how much you lost. Use the BTC value at the time of reporting.
- It's OK to post a rating about the person in general, not tied to a specific trade.
- If you want to make a rating stronger, increase "Risked BTC". 50 extra risked BTC is equivalent to an additional rating.

Nice job intentionally cutting out this part:

On feedback pages, you can leave trade feedback. There are no rules for this, but here are some guidelines:

I will not tolerate 1 Lying Negative Rating in a useless trust system.

If it's a useless trust system, why do you care about a negative rating? Roll Eyes
4807  Economy / Reputation / Re: Lauda, he's right or not? on: May 07, 2017, 01:19:42 AM
for real ur idiot but nvm, life sucks i know.

posting in games and rounds doesnt mean ur a spammer, but nvm that's your brain stuff. i don't threaten the forum, just this guy, lauda.

4808  Economy / Reputation / Re: Lauda, he's right or not? on: May 07, 2017, 12:50:23 AM
Oh great. Almost 5 am, i write wrong a letter.

Actually your reply is off-topic.

What spam I did? Roll Eyes

So you're in GMT+5, [or +4 if you consider 40 mins almost the next hour] huh? (not Arizona, US as your profile indicates)

Also, holy shit that's a lot of Games & Rounds posts. Let it be known that of your 575 posts, 534 of them lie in the Games & Rounds section and at the start of your posting career you consecutively posted in the section, spanning many pages. Only 7% of your posts are outside of Games & Rounds. Let that sink in for a moment.

Since trust is unmoderated and merely just a system to see who trusts whom, I could give you negative feedback indicating that I find you a spammer and a very unseemly individual. Likewise, Lauda has the very same opportunity, though their feedback is considered trusted by default. Of course, your own personal trust settings can be tweaked and in fact, you could exclude their rating, keeping a trust level of 0.

In fact, I think I'll leave just a neutral for now.
4809  Economy / Reputation / Re: Lauda, he's right or not? on: May 07, 2017, 12:20:36 AM
I want the trust deleted from my profile. It is unfair and illegit.

Interesting combination of "illegal" and "illicit" to create a new word.

And about technology of blockchain alts and so on, neah, you're too newbie

Wait, what?

Don't even need to go through more than one post to show why you are considered a spammer.

Ok, 3.5 BTC sounds good to you ? (I'd have to pay approx. 12 EUR)

I just can't believe what I'm seeing here. 2 ebooks sold for 3.5 BTC. If I could teleporte myself in past to tell to all these guys what is going to happen with bitcoin Sad

@op if you will ever check out this thread again please do send to me 3.5 BTC , sorry for off topic or for making this thread alive again

The post before yours was from 2012. There is no sense in reviving such an old thread to comment on the trade. It is simply useless and does not contribute anything.

That being said... I just want to bring this post to light. It entertained me and I hope it will entertain a lot more people.

I remember when I was mining with my phone 3-4 years ago. These days even a powerfull rig can mine 0.001/day at maximum.

In my opinion mining bitcoin got to a dead end.

FYI:
Funny here is another address with Lauda,   Cheesy
https://blockchain.info/address/1LaudaexFYZano87acDNGscmqDbM3ZTLBD
and it has the 30 BTC , is this where you keep your illegally gained Extortion money.

I find it hard to believe that all of the 30 BTC received was from whatever you are insinuating.

Especially considering that 30 BTC is the total amount received and that the first transaction to that address was back in March of 2015.

Do you know how bitcoin works?
4811  Other / Meta / Re: Ryland R. Taylor Almanza=MIxan Needs removed from DT on: May 06, 2017, 01:31:39 PM
Has his account been compromised?

It seems likely that this is the case. If you'll notice, the sent feedback from Ryland changes tone and writing style completely after the double password change.

This is also interesting: January 08, 2017, 12:26:51 AM - Ryland R. Taylor-Almanza - password reset via email (Archive)

And here:

March 31, 2016, 10:16:12 PM - Ryland R. Taylor-Almanza - password changed

February 11, 2016, 09:29:03 PM - Ryland R. Taylor-Almanza - password reset via email

(Archive)

This might be legitimate, though.

And that's as far as archive.is takes me. archive.org doesn't serve me any better.

Unfortunately for mindless me, I didn't archive the password change in time and now we're one day ahead of it. (since the latest is a month back)

right now my abilities are limited to minor pain issues. and ive healed carpaltunnel once. but that was a fluke and ive never been able to replicate it.

Damn, so your placebo effect spiritual energy healing can only heal minor pain? And instead of simply buying painkillers we can receive this treatment through the power of the Internet with only one easy payment of 38 USD!

(Doesn't aspirin cost around 5 to 10 dollars?)

apparently none of you have ever heard of modern shamanism. skype is because you need to be able to see the recipients face. i'm trying to be professional.

Get the hell out of here. Modern shamanism, huh? What does this energy transformation look like?

What you are saying makes no sense. Scammers don't work like that. He hasn't actually scammed anyone. There's no proof of it. Just people claiming he did.

If it's expected that scammers don't work like that, wouldn't it be more in their interests to work like that? If you do the unexpected and make a profit off of it, then it's the best play. (think Poker)

I sent all the proof to you buddy! You ask why I don't post it publicly? I don't want to humiliate you or anyone that bad. So, I decide to do it this way Cheesy

Bit stupid if you wanted to defend gigitrix. Regardless, it's all in the open now:

Trust me, it surprised me too. I thought I was going to be scammed. So, he really doesn't deserve to be treated that way. He was legit to me at least, so I feel bad.

Now, post on the thread I provided you with proof. So people know.

Looks like it's in reverse order, though. The PM has not been altered in any way.

Here's some archives (in order):

Despite being in chronological order (or what I think) the message log is still a little bit jumbled and convoluted.

It's*
Capitalize English* (You made this error way too many times for it to be a mere "typo")
You're*
Don't*

Oh the irony. A guy incapable of forming a single coherent statement telling people to speak English. Your post is a very good representation of white racists: Incapable of speaking English beyond the third grade level, but still want to force immigrants/everybody else to speak English.

Here's a tip: Enroll in Middle School again, but try to actually pass English class this time.

Please do not resort to ad hominem. It just ends badly and usually shows that you're mindlessly going after the person. I'm not sure how many cents you've accumulated, but I'm giving you the opportunity to gain some more if you wish to reply to this post.

Nah, I don't wish I was white. I prefer not having to spend my dating life as an albinism suffering two inched wiener possessing racist. It's very inconvenient.
It was probably your grammar. The racists here often tend to falsely associate poor English skills with spamming.

You seem to have a good degree of hate stemming from race-related topics. Poor English skills on an English forum don't exactly go well together. Are you sure that you want the entire forum littered with poor grammar and improper spelling? (Bit of a strawman here, I admit)

Sorry Sempiternals, you are banned from posting or sending personal messages on this forum.
You have been banned by a forum moderator. You may appeal here: banappeals-w6pquw43@theymos.e4ward.com . .. got this message ... dont know what to do  Huh ..please i didnt know shits what is going on ...if i didnt have access even though i had another id ..its fine ..ill be leaving this forum ..just please do not bring this problem again. It's not a security question lock. Did you copy & paste anything?

Copy & pasting on the forum leads to a permaban.

This isn't.

My thoughts on Bitcoin and the other currencies is that they ought to be legal unless there is fraud involved. The government should not get involved in regulating private money if there is no fraud.

4816  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ^Gigitrix/Bombadil HAS LOCKED HIS THREAD BECAUSE HES LYING AHAHAHA on: May 05, 2017, 11:38:07 PM
I paid him $150 BTC. So, why would Gigitrix scam for $30 but not for $150?

That line of thinking is what may cause such an action. Would someone really scam for $5 if they did a trade for $25? What if they do? What if you decided to scam on the smaller deals, thinking that you could deflect any accusations regarding them?

Also, $30 is only 1/5 of $150. That's a significant percentage.

Suppose I do trades often, summing up to around $1000 a week. Who's so say that I can't scam a random newbie (with no reputation) for $25? Or $50? Or, given your 1:5 ratio, $200? If they create a thread about me, I can easily say that they are lying. Or, if worst comes to worst, I'll refund them (maybe with extra).

It just doesn't add up. For anyone needing proof of this exchange, feel free to send me a message and I'll provide the proof.

Why not post the proof right here, publicly?
4817  Other / Meta / Re: Gif-Pictures on: May 05, 2017, 08:21:46 PM
Hmm, sad that it's not possible anymore.

Is it a risk for forum security to have gifs as avatars?

Took almost no time to search "gif" in the Meta subforum.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=306878.msg3290091#msg3290091

Theymos's addressing about JavaScript inserts.

The forum is now on a new server inside of a virtual machine with many extra security precautions which will hopefully provide some security in depth in case there are more exploits or backdoors. Also, I have disabled much SMF functionality to provide less attack surface. In particular, non-default themes are disabled for now.

A backdoor was implemented back in 2011.
4818  Other / Meta / Re: Gif-Pictures on: May 05, 2017, 07:55:52 PM
How to add gif animated pictures as avatar?

I already saw pictures like this here on other's profiles, but when I tried to add, it says it's not possible.

Those profiles have had the animated gifs before the security flaw was found. Animated images are unavailable because of the aforementioned problem.
The only reason you might see any animated avatars is because they haven't changed it since - and personally, I wouldn't if I had the chance to keep a relic of the past Smiley

Can confirm. Let it also be known that the account had its password changed twice on April 6, and proceeded to attempt to join a signature campaign the following day.

How dumb could you be to reuse the same username, when it would be published to a public spreadsheet?
4820  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: A New Clipboard Attack on: May 05, 2017, 03:06:52 AM
i think every wallet should have a feature that even ever we paste or type a valid bitcoin address they should show the address's balance at a side. This can help to prevent a lot of scams like this. at least my bot does that

There's nothing too difficult about double-checking the address that you're sending funds to. After all, why not be careful when you're managing financial transactions? One wrong misstep could be fatal.

but you also need a very powerful anti virus like karspersky or bitdefender.

For what? I'm sure that it isn't too difficult to be cautious on the internet, or to use a virtual machine, right? After spending years online, I decided to scan my PC. Clean as a whistle, of course.

At the end of the day, most ill results stem from the victim and though I do not encourage scammers, it is ignorance and recklessness that fuels their efforts.
