4801  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker games that are providing free plays to earn real money on: July 03, 2020, 02:21:26 AM
In fact, this is not entirely true.

Experienced players use statistics, both in their head and with the help of programs. They do not play free tournaments, not because there are difficult inadequate rivals, but because the stakes are too small and their time is more expensive. If freerolls had higher prize pools, many experienced players would gladly take part in them.

Statistics help to understand any player, especially if he is inadequate.
Yes, sometimes you will find yourself in ridiculous and unobvious situations with them, but in most cases it is precisely those who will help your stack grow.

For a poker player, it is important how much he earns in the dollar-hour ratio, only that matters when choosing games.
But he's talking about those players who just play randomly right? Experienced players may be a part of this and tbh, it happens. Especially when motivation is gone, players just randomly choose a decision out of numerous ones, and their basis? Just pick something random. Tbh, this could also be a counter of some strategies, but it also affects you yourself. It's like a part of chaos theory, where it's completely random, but it can actually largely influence the results. Ofc, since the note of the term chaos, even the one doing it himself has no idea it could produce a result like that.
All players want to play with a weak player so they can win the games easily. But unfortunately, that thing can not always happen because the sport staff will shuffle the player by random so each player will have to compete with each other to be the winner. Their fear will become bigger once they don't have a good card, and their opponent can bluff them easily. The experienced player will know how to make a strategy with fast than their opponent, so they can realize how big their chance to win, and if it's necessary, they will try to bluff them.
It's not about speed imo, but rather with how experienced players can create a winning strategy even with a bad hand. Heck, even making decisions quickly can be detrimental at times since mistakes are bound to happen when you try to think quickly, quick enough that you don't understand what's happening and you're just grasping straws by the end.
4802  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Day Trading: How to Get Started & How to Win on: July 03, 2020, 01:24:45 AM
It's basically something similar to a dictionary or list of terms that you need in day trading. Still, I don't exactly see any way on how to win so for those trying to read it, don't get your hopes up too much. There's always wins and losses in day trading. The guide mostly states on how to understand how you can win, and when you lose, how to understand how you lost. OP should've also probably added a few trading simulators or something of the like. Though the data may be false, they would at least have an idea on how the various terms work after seeing it in real-time, unlike in pictures.
4803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON SPORTS GAMBLING on: July 02, 2020, 12:03:15 PM
That is just really unfortunate but I do understand that. They can't just play and follow the new normal since there are other players that are still positive with the virus. I guess we might not really see the continuation of the season in 30 days. That would take them weeks to quarantine and they can't just play after that since as far as I know there will be a follow up test to that.

I guess we will be sticking more to online games or esports betting right now. This is just sad.

I'd rather stick to eSports temporarily than let the players expose themselves to further risks. We already have a few infected players according to others here in the thread, and opening the NBA season just invites more of such events to happen imo. Plus, let's not forget how there are cases where people are asymptomatic (shows no symptoms) and can be very dangerous, especially with close contact games such as Basketball. If they were to test themselves, then there's a chance that could be avoided but that doesn't say that the chances are zero though.

The funny thing is that it is already known that those people who transmit the virus asymptomatically and feel great are the ones who infected the most people.
A long incubation period does not allow to identify the source of infection on time and those with whom he contacted.

What precautionary measures can be discussed while mass protests are taking place around the world with a constant violation of these measures.
Precautionary measures would be to stop the protests. Or at least, think of an alternative where they don't actively seek for their deaths like what they are doing right now. Ofc, i'm not saying that they should stop but rather look for an alternative. It's also with these kinds of issues why the spread still won't stop, mainly because they think that the pandemic has already passed over after the past 3-4 months.

4804  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cock Fight on: July 02, 2020, 07:59:05 AM
Made a quick list about countries that allow it. Got it from Wikipedia though, so it may actually contain some bits of wrong info here and there.
Colombia, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Mexico, Pakistan, Panama, Peru, Philippines
Indonesia has it banned but they have religious aspects tied to Cockfighting, so those are allowed.
Spain has it banned except for two regions, Canary Islands and Andalusia.
France has it banned except for a certain region, Nord-pas de Calais.

Of course, other countries where it's banned continue to host a few cockfighting sessions, regardless of consequences.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cockfight
I don't like organizing such a betting event on animals. It used examples of this kind of happening for cock fight in Turkey. However, the result of hard work by the government of Turkey banned altogether. From time to time, there are illegally organized fight tournaments, but they are always followed by the police.

I don't know, have you watched one of these fights before? You can be completely in horror. I think it should be banned everywhere. In the vast majority of these fights, it results in the death of one of the animals. Moreover, I have to say that the roosters who lost the fight and did not die by themselves were killed by their owners.

Warning: Don't watch this video with your child or if you don't like violance.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cXK6uog-f6g

The worst part is that people enjoy it ...
Well, some people enjoy weird things mate. It's like since the age of violence against each other is over, and literally almost no one would beat up each other in the streets, they went to look for possible substitutes, and cocks were one of the options they found. They're rather easy to raise after all.
4805  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BPlay Gaming site Platform [Binance Collaboration] on: July 02, 2020, 07:28:10 AM
First time hearing about BPlay. Might check them out sometime later since Binance did allow a Collab with them, and I doubt Binance would collab with a bad gambling site. Still, it seems like they only have a small arrangement of games at the moment. Haven't seen much people reviewing about them so I might actually wait for a few more months and see whether issues crop up before trying to play in their site.

Still, since BPlay is only a new gambling site, it's still up to question whether this collab is actually going to benefit Binance since it has a lot of sites to fight with. Hope Binance actually manages to get something out of this collab though, especially since business puts profit as a top priority.
4806  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think players can play properly against a recovered Covid-19 opponent? on: July 02, 2020, 04:38:39 AM
Based from this article, there is probability that a recovered covid patient can still be reinfected.

https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2020/04/no-evidence-that-recovered-covid-19-patients-cannot-be-reinfected-who/

So for those managing sports events, they should weigh their decisions when it comes to healthy protocols.
Because a lot are showing asymptomatic cases, one wouldn't know their status if they will not undergo the testing.
In this regard, it is better to subject all the involved persons to testing before they can proceed the event.
Isn't the reinfection stemming from them being infected by someone with Covid? Doesn't that mean that recovered patients can be seen as patients that are cleared of infection? After all, having the name "recovered" means that the Covid-19 should be removed completely from the system. Just based from this, you can safely assume I suppose that there isn't any risk at all in playing with people that have recovered from the Covid-19. This is assuming that the said recovered person has completely "recovered".

When some recovers from a disease their body creates antibodies to make them immune from that particular strain, like a particular strain of flu. So people who recovered from coronavirus have antibodies protecting them from SARS-CoV-2 so they cannot get infected by that particular strain again. Still, they should practice social distancing to avoid carrying the virus and infecting another person with it.
Source? Just looked up a bit and from what I could gather, it was basically the same as what the article @TimeTeller quoted that there has been no evidence as of yet, on both sides that is. No evidence of recovered person developing antibodies, and no evidence of a recovered person being reinfected once again.
4807  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Alert] Scam attempt in the name of gambling house and moderator on: July 02, 2020, 02:12:51 AM
You can already identify it just from a few things tbh. 1, it's from telegram, a hellhole filled with scammers. 2, it's a new site, as OP said, and from what I found as well, the site was created on June 28th. Lastly, the mod cheating to make you win? Please. Idk why he would even need strangers for that, just make your family members or friends do it instead, it's a lot easier and safer. Especially the last point, that itself tells you that the one you're talking to is a scammer, or the site they are making you enter is a scam itself. I still don't really believe that others can fall for this, deep scams with a lot off planning involved, maybe, but this? Then you'd either be a complete noob with the internet or you're just plain ol stupid.
Aside from it being a scam, assuming that the offer is legit and the event happens that you won the said jackpot price and by some chance, players noticed the abnormal thing about that winnings and file a complaint, it will give us a problem if the complaint is justified and we will be charged as an accomplice to the crime.  Giving in will only lead us to the losing end whether the guy's offer is real or not.
Well, if what the other party is legit, then if you won, he'd be able to manipulate the records one way or another. I doubt they'd be stupid enough to actually show to the public records of them winning continuously. A balance of win/loss should be maintained with them still profiteering off of it.
4808  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My suggestion on Bitcoin adoption on: July 02, 2020, 01:49:45 AM
Well, it is often compared to Gold at times, but really, there's a difference between the two. Also, the whole world should get to know it to actually increase adoption. No matter how many people know it, the fact remains that it has a limited supply, so I don't suppose it's credibility is in doubt here. Limiting the knowledge of what Bitcoin is to only a part of the world isn't adoption anymore tbh.

Also, in the case of quantum development, would you think that Bitcoin would just stand still and let it get to the point that it becomes useless once quantum tech comes out? With how the warnings of its development were made, I guess we can assume that community developers would think of a way to avoid being useless due to it. And in case it does become useless, then what's the point of adopting it? It'd lose credibility real quickly I suppose.
4809  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lesson plans about Bitcoin achieved on: July 01, 2020, 12:00:09 PM
You should probably consider adding Bitcoins' current state. Like how it's being seen as a speculative asset, far from it's supposed to be used as a currency. I also doubt you need to discuss mining deeply? Probably an idea on how mining works, but that's it, no need to overcomplicate it or something. Also, I don't particularly support the idea of adding the Bitcointalk forum as a huge part of the plan? Probably just speak of it in the passing and tell them that they could ask people there with regards to any questions they have with Bitcoin.

There's also the idea of adding the timeline of Bitcoin, don't just sum or skip them, probably discuss every major event that happened with Bitcoin. Also, avoid CSW please, students can afford to live their lives without knowing this dude.
4810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Potential Valorant Esports betting sites on: July 01, 2020, 11:30:50 AM
Erm, a few betting sites already have Valorant on its list. A few I could name is Loot.bet and unikrn. And it isn't surprising, RIOT surprisingly developed the game pretty well and since the combined elements of Overwatch and cs:go plus some additional here and there, it really is a fun game. I've had my fair share with it and it truly revitalizes your will to play fps games, especially if you've been playing cs:go for a long time and is starting to get bored of it or is starting to look for something similar. And unlike other games, It can easily be considered as an Esports game because of how similar it comes off with cs:go.
4811  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A lot of Americans still don't know what Bitcoin is on: June 29, 2020, 02:24:51 AM
I am surprised that you're surprised. It's not like Bitcoin was taught in school books, nor is it posted on every wall outside or every ad on the internet. It's like you're asking someone, "Why don't you know this game?" when they aren't even a gamer. If they were along the lines of developer/businessman, you can be half surprised since both have the chance of actually chancing upon Bitcoin. Besides, even the majority of the people who know about Bitcoin only know the word, they don't even know what it is.

Okay I understand why you have specified "Americans", first because he's your client and second because that statistics in the internet shows the large number of people in America that are into cryptocurrency. The question is, does this surveys done unbiasedly? I mean, you'd be more surprised If you'd talk about Bitcoin to someone you bumped into every single day.
10+ years ain't enough for Bitcoin to be widely known/accepted globally, some have heard once but never interested.
Agree. Most Surveys are done in groups and a few that I found had only close to 1000-2000 citizens in each survey, which imo, is not enough considering how big and diverse the US can be. Sure, they can use it as basis but really, not everyone is literate when it comes to tech things, and some just even enjoy playing around with games and the like.

4812  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think eSport gambling will become more popular than normal Sport betting? on: June 29, 2020, 12:58:01 AM
Highly possible. Yes, there are people that both enjoy normal sports and eSports, but most eSports are easily catered by the young age right now. Most of those young ones are actually influenced at an early age by games played on eSports. Still, it isn't that particularly difficult to watch both, it's just that eSports right now is comparatively growing at a huge rate compared to normal Sports, BUT if you consider how it started from zero, that is completely understandable.

I don't think so, especially when you try to compete with football. I feel like sports have fans in every social group, age and sex. Esports are mainly watched by young males.

Like what is the average CS player? A boy age 19?
There are surveys comparing players in sports and esports and the results show that pro players are also much younger with footballers at 26 and LoL players at 21.

I think that this simple thing that sports are watched by both young and old people and esports mostly by people around 20 and younger will make normal sports perform better.
The issue of young and old probably stemmed from the fact that eSports is still young. When compared to sports that were already showing its prowess for a long time right now, it's understandable how both young and old people enjoy it, compared to how eSports is comparatively enjoyed by young. However, such problems would probably move on after a few more decades, when the old is replaced by the new "old". Also, age 19-20 is the age where players start entering the scene, while the average age is around 22-25. But expect no one to exceed the age of 30.
4813  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where can I learn Technical Analysis to Cryptocurrencies? on: June 28, 2020, 07:56:46 AM
There are sites that let you perform simulation of TA's. You can try them out and I believe that you can learn either from stocks or Cryptos. In the end, it's the process that counts, and what your studying shouldn't really affect the progress that much.

You can check out this list and see whether one catches your eye. You can also lookup a few guides on the site itself (Investopedia) about the various terminologies you need to understand as well as various sites you might be able to use for TA's. Lastly, you can also look up on Youtube (or any other site that gives videos of people doing TA's) and try to see how they do it. Ofc, this isn't really reliable since they might just be speaking gibberish, but you can nonetheless try. Just don't take their word for it 100%.
4814  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade by yourself on: June 28, 2020, 05:38:18 AM
Signals aren't something to be trusted 100%, but you can assume the idea behind it and use it to build up the idea of trading you want to take. It's most difficult to find/predict what the price would be in the next few days if you were to start at zero, so you could try to use other's analysis and accept or deny their hypothesis and move from there. You can also see this being applied from various research/inventions, they always have something to start with, that is, except for those that literally started from zero. Though most of the time, signals are just traps, shitposts that people make to push an empty argument.

Only you think that you should become successful and all others work for their success so if you think that signals from others will make you rich then you are about to lose at some point.Trading is nit too hard to learn but it will become more complicated if you complicate the things by trading too often and wanted to rich too soon.
The hard part about trading isn't learning about it, but rather putting what you learned to constant use every day. You can describe trading as something that requires your daily attention, and not only that, applying everything you learn at every possible moment is a must since losses and wins stand hand by hand.
4815  Economy / Economics / Re: China will rule world as economy king after crisis end? on: June 28, 2020, 04:42:24 AM
I don't understand how the digital yuan can be a competitor to the dollar if the Chinese government regularly devalues its national currency. In order to become a reserve currency, you need its stability, otherwise your savings will be devalued just like the yuan.
Well, we never know what's really going on with the Chinese government tbh. Me saying that they'll exceed the US dollar all came from what they've actually said, and could just be empty words of threat so the US would feel some form of pressure. Still, it isn't all without any backing, with how big the economy of China is, they have the potential to uproot the US from its place. That is if the US lets them.
I don't think we should overrate that to be the ruler of the planet.

It doesn't mean that you are reigning as the biggest economy, they would be able to do that. Despite the fact that China is the one who started this pandemic, they are also affected by this largely. Every country is affected by all of this, what we can do know is just take care of ourselves since as long as we are here, we will be able to restart.
Even if every country was hit, ngl, the current difference between how the US handled it and China handled it shows how China is able to recover from the pandemic. Not to mention that a lot of issues suddenly popped up from the US, with the racism protests as well as the upcoming recession of the US dollar which is in the near future now. China, on the other hand, was able to remove the virus, albeit temporarily and they're already managing the second wave and how to prevent/stop it from getting larger.
4816  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A trading chart does not play out to 100% on: June 28, 2020, 02:45:31 AM
Naturally. There isn't only one future in a sense, and a trading chart could only show one future. There can be said to be an n amount of futures in the universe, and no matter what, one just can't simply predict what would happen in the next minute, hour, day, week, etc. Trading charts are something that let you make a decision based on what you see, but that doesn't mean that it would be the only basis you have on making a decision. It's not like you'd decide to enter a school for pilots just cause you saw your crush there right? And even if you did, that'd be called impulsive decisions. Even having 2 or 3 factors while deciding could still be said as an impulsive one.
I guess even 70% is a little too much ain't it ?
Imo, yes. Though you can at the very least put it at the minimum of 50%, since if you were to look at it as to whether you'd only lose or win, chances are 50/50 no matter what TA's you read, no matter how many analysis you do.
4817  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the best welcome offer for you? on: June 28, 2020, 02:09:32 AM
Any bonus is welcome tbh. I mean, we are in the receiving end, after all, so receiving a bonus of any type should be acceptable already. I would like to comment to avoid giving bonuses of types such as money that they can immediately withdraw, which would only result in account spams so they can get free money. Probably a type where they can only use it to play, and they can only withdraw after depositing OR spending all the bonuses they got. You could also introduce a rake back system right from the start. Though it highly depends on how you want to do it, but beginners could have at the minimum 1% rake back and would only increase after reaching x amount of wager.
4818  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible to live without banks? on: June 27, 2020, 06:52:15 AM
Let's hope that with the introduction of stablecoins, merchants and businesses alike would start using it as an acceptable payment method for daily payments. If that happens, people using crypto might start to separate themselves from banks at a slow and steady rate. But considering that banks and governments have long dominated the world's economy, they wouldn't allow this to happen anytime soon. In the meantime, crypto will serve as an "alternative" to the current banking system than a "replacement". There might be far more important things to focus in crypto land, than just trying to take over the centralized financial system. Just my opinion Smiley
I doubt stable coins would be used as a payment method. It'd probably be similar to how Bitcoin is, an alternative. Digital fiat would dominate e-commerce sites no matter how I see it with how easy it is plus, it doesn't have fees. Not to mention that some apps even offer cashback. Even in the long term, I see Bitcoin as an alternative, for when you want to purchase something anonymously or something. The system of Bitcoin right now is way too forced and is mostly seen as an investment or speculative asset, which really kills the concept of what Bitcoin is supposed to be. This just makes users that have Bitcoin hodl, instead of actually using them for everyday life as a currency.
4819  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin can never become a currency. Part 2: reward distribution. on: June 27, 2020, 05:45:29 AM
The article basically sums up how Bitcoin instead of being a cryptocurrency, became a speculative asset, an investment of sorts. It's basically the problem of adoption that has bothered Bitcoin for as long as possible now, and why we don't really see much merchants actually accepting payments via BTC except for a select few.
2 The second problem lies is in the model of the system’s support and particularly in the reward distribution scheme proposed by the creator.
The reward distribution is basically a fee paid for a service (securing the network, through mining). The incentive will last only a few decades, which will also generated new coins and properly distribute them alogn the years.
Isn't that the problem itself? With how miners incentives last a few decades, they would of course try to get the best profit out of them. Hence creating the idea of Bitcoin being an asset to invest in, and in such, those that would buy the said asset would also try to sell it for as high as possible, creating the problem of them storing the coins in the long term instead of actually using it to buy something from others.

Simply saying, when compared to the current situation where fiat is used to buy an item, crypto is supposed to replace fiat from the system but instead, it became the "item" that is used to exchange for fiat.
4820  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fortnite Betting? on: June 27, 2020, 04:46:49 AM
Tried looking for a few sites that offered Fortnite betting but other than what was said by others, I couldn't really find anything. Still, you could actually question why Fortnite? I do believe that a lot of people would actually argue why Fortnite was the first one to put in the list of possible games to be added in the Olympics when there are PUBG/Apex legends on the same genre of Battle Royale. In terms of FPS, there's CS:GO, Rainbow Six Siege, and the recently released Valorant. I'm not saying that Fortnite is a bad game, but there are a few others out there that are a lot more worthy to be placed on the Olympics.

Also for those opening the first link of OP, you need to register to view the entire article so you can try visiting this instead
https://headtopics.com/us/why-the-next-olympics-should-include-fortnite-13919490
Though the arrangement of the paragraphs is messed up, but it was the best substitute I could find.

Well, this Fortnite betting it is a very promising market amid the COVID19 problem and e-sports is the best alternative to any sports event.
You perhaps look at this Fornite betting site list, [ https://esportsbettingtop.com/best-fortnite-betting-sites/ ] but I don't know if which of them accept crypto for betting but for sure as far as I know Bet365 is accepted BTC that included on that list.

Indeed, we need to avoid mass gathering and usually, --bettors now are at home and this Fortnite betting is a promising new market in the gambling industry, I hope so.
That's odd, I visited bet365 and I couldn't really find Fortnite. Though it's possible that there's just no Fortnite tournament right now.
