4801  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price going up? on: August 13, 2016, 05:08:36 AM
bitcoin hopefully rise continues. the current price of bitcoin has increased, although slightly. for some traders the current rise is a joy.
they take every dollar that can be obtained.

Bitcoin prices are going through gradually rise from the start of this year. Only there was one moment of bitfinex hack when the prices drop by 20%. Other than that we are having an upward trend in the bitcoin prices.
4802  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin @ $592.. we are crashing on: August 13, 2016, 05:06:30 AM
it is not a crash but it is normal because many miners abandon mining bitcoin while they moved to other profitable project so 400 $ by the end of this year is definitely possible price.

Really lol??

Other profitable project and then what? It will just add more troll coins in the making. Bitcoin is only crypto that can last for a long term. Other coins are just for short term profits.  So a serious miner will just put efforts on bitcoin even the rewards are drop.
Yes i agree with you bitcoin is only long lasting project but with halving everyone knows that mining bitcoin is not profitable anymore .

Even with halving and miners profit reduced to half, there is no stoppage of mining. Bitcoins prices are still going up . The people who have setup large infrastructures for mining are not going to give up and it is still profitable to them.
4803  Economy / Economics / Re: Why better tech can't kill Bitcoin on: August 13, 2016, 04:50:26 AM
So bitcoins to you are a fad  Huh
Highly unlikely as those other things mentioned were valuable to the "collectors" but bitcoin is of value to everybody as everybody I know "collects" money. It is the exact same value to everybody at that given time of the exchange.
I totally agree.Bitcoin has value to everyone and given its high price it is more valuable than gold.
You cant earn gold directly but you van earn, buy or mine bitcoin
yeah I think bitcoin have things that are not owned by any other technology weapons that bitcoin can continue to grow and survive. bitcoin has a high price and anonymous. This is not owned by any other technology. so that bitcoin will always be different from other technologies and bitcoin will always persist

BTCitcoin is free from ownership and not control by any authority and due to this reason it cannot be defeated. On the other hand Etherum is controlled by few multinationals and you can see its growth is not permanent.
4804  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you trust to bitcoin casinos? on: August 13, 2016, 04:43:47 AM
We should always remember that some Bitcoin casino's uses a system that is a win situation for them. Usually, when you play at first you're winning so it's like they are also playing with our emotion because once we win then lose, we tend to bet more because we can't control our emotions. The more we lose, the higher our bets. That's why you can trust Bitcoin casino in terms of payment but in terms of whether you are going to win or lose that's a different story. Smiley

The Casino system are made in a way that the person playing will always lose in the long Run or in Higher Bets. If this is not the case, then it will be impossible for Casinos to be Run.  But most of the people do not know about it and still Risks their money.

Very sad LIR price very down and always down
is it will pumped someday?
I guess after every pump , there is a dump and this is what happening with LIR. LIR was puming like anything for last few weeks and now suddenly it has gone down. It is a  good time to buy LIR now as it will surely pump and pump strong as this coin is backed by strong projects.
4806  Economy / Services / Re: LetItRide Signature campaign. CLOSED FOR NEW MEMBERS on: August 12, 2016, 07:28:54 PM
Uhhm, am I accepted or no? And is it okay if I just use an address on an exchange?

You're accepted and AFAIK using LIR addresses from 3rd party exchanges is fine.

Just want to post this here because the spreadsheet isn't updated and doesn't include my name (also, the current manager accepted me, and posting this here might fix some confusion that may arise due to the spreadsheet). Thanks!

This is the link to New Spread sheet.  Spreadsheet : https://docs.zoho.com/sheet/ropen.do?rid=128quaf0a490b3471480886effcf22ed0bc77
If you See your name and updated post counts in this document, you are good to go then.

4809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CRYPTO BULLION (CBX) | Focus on Crypto Bullion! on: August 10, 2016, 06:02:04 PM
Just a reminder the Crypto Bullion 2.4.1 hard fork will take place in a few hours; I can see there are still some old 2.3 Vaults running on the network - those will not be able to connect to the CBX network in a few hours... please update to 2.4.1

Focus on CBX!!!   Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

is the new wallet working? i'm still on 2.3 (hadn't noticed the update incoming) but the bulls are staking like mad! wassup? in the last 24 hrs the vault has been staking at ~25x the usual rate

New CBX Vault is running like a charm; if you are still on the old 2.3.x network your Vault will be staking between you and the few still on the old fork at a high rate but all these gains will be erased when you update to the new official fork - the sooner you update the better!

The New Valut is quick and fast too. Its really good to see CBX doing some good work to re-gain the popularity. Now i think they need to focus on Price. The Hardfork and new wallet has not any affect on CBX price and it is trading at the same old price.
4810  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: PAPAFRANCESCOCoin - Pure POW - Trust In Crypto - Listing on C-cex shortly on: August 10, 2016, 05:57:17 PM
http://ypool.ga/papafr is up now. We changed stratum server, please change
your miners settings according to help->getting started  page

So it means PAPAFRANCESCO Coin will be back in business. I heard OP told it will be listed in bittrex anytime soon. If this happens, it can again boost it value. Currently it is down at 2 Sat only
4811  Other / Archival / Re: Do you think bitcoins will disapear or become unused? on: August 10, 2016, 05:41:18 PM
Not really,I do not think that will ever happen to Bitcoin. The price is going up, it is spreading more and more, and more people start to use Bitcoin every day. It has just 'evolved' too much to disappear now or in the next 5 years or such. It can only dissappear if everyone stops using it, but I do not see it in the near future.

People will only stop using it if the price falls to an extreme level and from where earning profits will be stopped, and if it happens then bitcoin will disappear for sure.
If bitcoin would become unprofitable, then there's no point in using bitcoin anymore for the majority, resulting in drop of bitcoin users and possibly even miners to drop. And when miners stop mining, there's no one running the transactions thus halting every bitcoin transaction. Bitcoin's basically dead by that time.

To think that bitcoin will be dead and miners will stop mining , its like a dream of a person who does not want this coin to go further. To be realistic i think we should see the facts. Bitcoin still stable after big bitfinex hack. So bitcoin is here to stay.

4813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [RaiBlocks] RaiBlocks trading thread on: August 09, 2016, 06:03:05 PM
my worst decision was to buy mrai.

It was not the worst decision of yours to buy Mrai. Rai-block was the best project i have seen till yet but unfortunately it is abandoned by Dev due to personal or technical reasons.
Anything can happen in a Crypto World.
4814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RaiBlocks forking project on: August 09, 2016, 06:00:11 PM
UPDATE:

We'll snapshot blockchain for cloning funds on 1st Septemper 2016 00:00 GMT +0.

Be sure to kept the funds you want to clone on your addresses till that date.

I have already sold mine Mrai at 200 Sat each. I had no other choice that time as the project was dying and no one would have thought it can rise again.

Good to see that you started it again. but can we collect MRai through faucet again ?
4815  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FUCK! The Bitcoin is dead again. This time for sure. on: August 09, 2016, 05:31:34 PM
Cmon guys, stop "killing" bitcoin, every month i am hear from people about new bitcoin clone that will kill his father in short term, but everything they are wrong.

How many times do we have to see such statements that bitcoin died or is dead. Even after the bitfinex hack , bitcoin prices are stable and we are now sure that bitcoin is the real future and it can never be dead again.
4816  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bank or Bitcoin Wallet? on: August 09, 2016, 05:25:26 PM
I think Bitcoin without regulations make it unsafe when you compare with banking system. But 2008 - 2011 crises show us nowhere is safe. At this point I have seen more Bank failures then bitcoin. Money stored in Banks are not 100% yours to begin with. Citizens of Cyprus and Greece learned this truth the hard way.I don't want to be another victim of approaching economic crisis when my money will be grabbed to fix national economy or something. And crisis  will come, sooner or later and hit harder than the last one in 2009. That is for sure.

If  Money stored in Banks are not 100% yours, then what you say about money stored in Bitfinex exchange and its recent hack. I think we should see both money storage method not fully secured but we have no option left to choose one of them.
4817  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitfinex WEBSITE BACK TO LIFE on: August 08, 2016, 04:42:30 PM
Interesting how no one mentioned what kind of vulnerability or exploit was used to "hack" the website. If they released that information, it'd bring the credibility of their story up, even if it is just by 5%.

IF the site WAS "hacked", let's assume that the password was brute forced. A simple google search led me to the email Query value: admin@bitfinex.com (email). Seeing as blog.bitfinex.com runs WordPress, I ran a few tests.

Firstly, user enumeration is possible. I tested it with two, but:
ID   User   Login
1   admin    admin

If one was to brute force, they'd add admin into the &username= part of their brute force query.

---

HAHAHA I FOUND A VULNERABILITY IN THE WEBSITE. IT'S AN SQLI VULNERABILITY.

you won't see anything like that from Bitfinex. They are just a gang of scammers. They manipulated the market, inside traders, blocked client's accounts and so on... Yes, there are so many idiots to accept their shits  Smiley

you can see how many of the Bitfinex's clients are saying THANKS that Bitfinex found a miraculous solution : a cut of 36% + shit tokens  while Bitfinex earned over 25 MIL USD Grin Cheesy

Yeah, i also think so it was an inside attempt to get free funds. If all the bitcoins are stolen, why they cut 36% of each users. Are they paying from their pocket ?
No, they grabbed people Bitcoins and now saying they will cut 36% each. Wow..
4818  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitfinex HACKED - funds stolen ! on: August 08, 2016, 04:36:35 PM
What exactly am I supposed to do with my newly acquired 141 BFX tokens? Since I live in the US and the trading of them will be limited for me, are they just there to remind me of my folly?  Cheesy
I believe that the PR guy has said that US customer will be able to withdraw them. I suspect that this will allow for OTC trading of them and possibly trading of them on other exchanges.

Who is going to want these tokens?

What is backing them if it isn't the Bitcoin network?

Seems like a long shot for bitfinex to try this hand waiving technique.

In theory, bitfinex will eventually buy back the BFX tokens, and/or the BFX tokens will be exchanged for shares of bitfinex's parent company. The future profits of bitfinex are backing the BFX tokens.

Speculators will likely be most interested in buying and/or trading the BFX tokens. As long as Bitfinex buys the tokens at least at the market price and does not force anyone to sell them at a discount, then I don't see an issue with them buying at less then face value.

No matter what bitfinex do to compensate people, i guess it time to realize that they wont gain their trust back for a very long time. If people still trust them and invest there, then who can stop them from trying such hack scams again and again.
4819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: is gambling worth to try for newbie? on: August 08, 2016, 04:33:21 PM
I think gambling is equaly dangerous and risky for a newbie or veteran if you can't control yourself and don't have limits. So, everything is in your head and you should always be aware not to play for more that you can afford to lose.

Gambling is a game of chance and not a game of mind. So it does not matter if a Newbie is playing gambling or an experienced Users. The one with the luck will get profit regardless of the experience.
4820  Economy / Speculation / Re: 400 will not hold on: August 08, 2016, 04:11:47 PM
that is not right  even to think so, it is fact that the price of bitcoin wall coming down to such a low level, bt now falling of bitcoin stop any more because there is a very strong support to bitcoin in 550$ and the price of bitcoin is really trading above 550 USD. and now the people have started buying bitcoin again therefore i am hopeful that the price of bitcoin will increase and not decrease i can expect that the price of bitcoin will easily cross the 1200 USD level at the end of this year 2016.

I do not think the bitcoin price will go below $500 again unless there is another big bad news such as the bitfinex hack.

The probability of that happening is not negligible.
All over the world, exchanges deal with huge amounts of customers' money, and not all of them have fool-proof security measures.
Unfortunately, when some exchange goes under, Bitcoin's price gets affected.

So it is better for the customers to trade at the exchanges, but as soon as they buy the bitcoin, they should withdraw.
If you use an online wallet service, like the one built into most exchanges, there is always the risk that the service will go out of business or steal your funds and claim you withdrew them.

There is huge upside potential, but the risks should not be understated.

There is always a risk involved using wallets in exchanges. A recent example if of bitfinex where people lost a lot of bitcoins. Always Use Desktop wallet as they are more secure.
