4801  Economy / Economics / Re: Why BTC is digital gold? on: December 02, 2020, 08:34:37 AM
How we can determine BTC is digital gold?BTC Thats can be determined by their attribute. Gold is valuable because it's rare and has a limited supply. This term is true for Bitcoin as well. Both can be exchangeable with essential goods and they are acceptable in our society. Gold and BTC both can be stored though they have different methods to do that. But if you compare these criteria then we can say Bitcoin is digital gold.

The thing about Bitcoin is that everybody knows about it. If you speak to someone who has no clue about crypto currencies, he will at least have heard about Bitcoins before. It all depends on the market awareness in my opinion. The more people heard about it, the higher the value of a coin.

4803  Other / Off-topic / Re: Income from Bitcoin investment on: December 01, 2020, 09:55:56 AM
What are the "safe" options for holders of bitcoin to generate income?

I am not sure if I understand you correctly, but just by holding coins you normally don't generate any passive income. The only real income you get is if the price rises and you sell your coins. One form of generating income could be to lend your bitcoins to someone else and take an interest on it until he repays them. But this wouldn't be a 100% safe because you can get scammed. Another form to generate income would be gambling, but this also is not safe. I am afraid that there is no completely safe way to generate income.
4804  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I want to know about this game. on: December 01, 2020, 08:45:10 AM
Hamster based marble games sounds like fun. There should be a lot of randomness involved which makes it suited well die gambling. I saw a few videos from some Dutch guys who make a European marble championship and comment om  it like it's a Formel 1 race Cup. Which basically complete randomness involved. Taking now hamster into that game could make some hamsters more suited for it than others. Maybe we get a legend hamster who wins us big money?
4805  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you believe support and resistance still work in crypto? on: December 01, 2020, 06:49:11 AM
Yes, I still believe the support and resistance still work in crypto currency. In short, price is created by them and investors are likely invest by doing those analysis too. If can't work for you but it is not fake widely. If you are a trader or investors you need to do those analysis. Otherwise, you may fail to achieve your target.

I am very certain the resistance analysis still works. If you look at current bitcoin prices close to 20.000 USD again than investors will take the price on reference. So if prices would drop to 5.000 USD then most investors would not sell their coins because of the high prices in the past. And without any sellers the prices would have to rise again. Most investors use at least some form of chart analysis.
4806  Other / Off-topic / Re: Movies about space travelling. on: December 01, 2020, 06:44:07 AM
A very nice list of space travel movies. Apollo 13 is definitely my favourite. It's so crazy to compare today's SpaceX rockets to the old NASA rockets from the 60s. The advancements we made on the last 50 years is huge and makes the quest to reach Mars more realistic.
4807  Economy / Economics / Re: We're just getting started," says Grayscale 's Michael Sonnenshein on: November 30, 2020, 06:07:36 PM
In the interview that was conducted with @Sonnenshein[1], Director @Grayscale[2], when asked about the price, the answer was:

Quote
If our inflows at Grayscale are any indication of the types of investors that are interested in this asset class or the sizes of allocations being made, we're just getting started,"

Read it here ---> https://twitter.com/SquawkCNBC/status/1333388578752237570

It looks like we will witness exciting ups and downs in the coming year and it could be a year of surprises just as it did in 2017.

What is your comment on this talk and do you think that they will continue to buy more?

I didn't see that interview before. Squawk Box is a great show to watch in the morning and always great to have some people on their to promot cryptos. I agree with him that it's hard to say how high bitcoins are going to rise in the near future, but the outlook is definitely positive.
4808  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Gewinnspiel: Kostenlose physische Bitcoin-Münze #9 on: November 30, 2020, 05:28:50 PM

4809  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Logical brain is biggest gift(biggest asset) and also a biggest mistake(biggest on: November 30, 2020, 10:59:40 AM
Perhaps we have to define "logical brain" and "logic" first before making such a claim.
Logic can be a broad term, not only about mathematics. And there are many aspects of someone's IQ.

I agree, geniuses in one area usually lack behind in other areas. Being blessed with a great mind is definitely a good thing, but creates a lot of other problems. I remember a very smart kid from my school. He managed to jump two classes during his school time and was much younger than the other kids. It was very hard to talk to other people, his social skills must be very lacking compared to his classmates.
4810  Other / Off-topic / Re: Need help in education on: November 30, 2020, 10:52:32 AM
If I don't get any sphere of educational process, I always prefer to take additional classes for myself, after the basic ones.

I agree with you, the basic courses usually just give a broad overview of a topic. Taking follow up courses with advanced subjects is good in my opinion. Being specialist in some areas can increase your worth on the job market.
4811  Economy / Economics / Re: Visa is getting more interested in Crypto on: November 30, 2020, 10:44:53 AM
The thing with technology advancements is that once one company starts everyone has to follow, even if you don't believe in it 100%. The risk of missing out on a big trend is just too big. In my opinion its a good thing because I am fully convinced of Bitcoin's. Building up an infrastructure to manage cryptocurrency is just logical. And once visa did it, mastercard has to follow.
4812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Been cheated again on: November 30, 2020, 09:01:29 AM

Bounty hunters got cheated again, actually is this ever going to stop? Do you guys remember OLPORTAL? Bounty hunters are asked to drop ETH address to get tokens and they end up forcing bounty hunters to go and download OLCF wallet and import recovery seed to receive tokens, how did they cheat? Their shit OLCF wallet only accepts Recovery seed only, leaving out those with private keys, you can only import if you are using mycelium or others like it but for those using multi wallet like Coinomi we are out of luck, the team just ignore others like that.

I am sorry to hear you got scammed. Unfortunately there is no way around it, there will always be people who want to profit from the success of others without doing the work. And especially in the last few month there was a big rally in crypto prices. I would argue that the higher the prices also the higher the number of scammers is going to be. For example, I have been trading a lot in CSGO skins over the last 4 years. There is a huge market with so many scammers that it is unbelievable, and they never disappear. Because the skins can be worth thousands of dollars, there will always be people you try to scam you. Which is really sad.
4813  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: France's gambling recovers on: November 30, 2020, 08:56:13 AM
According to the french national gambling authority. The gambling in france showed 49% more gambling activity in the third quarter with a recovery which supposedly gave 1.6 billion Euro as revenue.

This was actually due to :
-online Gambling related to sports events

This is not such a huge surprise, because we all experienced the same on the forum. I am a huge fan of gambling, and usually went 3-4 times per year to a casino near my home town. But now with the pandemic, I couldn't even go once this year. And due to the availablity of online casinos lately, with more and more promotions being offered it's hard to gamble a lot more from home these days.
4814  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the biggest issue for beginners ? on: November 30, 2020, 08:43:29 AM
What is the biggest issue facing you as a beginner in crypto ?

In my opinion the biggest issue for beginners in the crypto world is being overwhelmed by huge number of different coins available. When I first started out with cryptos I just focused on bitcoins. Any newcomer I would make the same advice. Look for one or two coins you heard something about before (this is likely going to be BTC or ETH) and just focus on them. It's easier to learn a lot about one coin in particular than looking at a different coin every day, also the risk of getting scammed is much lower like this.
4815  Other / Off-topic / Re: Christmas is canceled this year due to covid, putting it on the blockchain. on: November 30, 2020, 08:37:35 AM
In my country we are in lockdown since November, and it's likely going to continue until February or March next year. But Christmas and New Year are not cancelled for us. There will be a 2 week break from the lockdown just to celebrate christmas. I am really glad that christmas is not cancelled, because it's the most important holiday in the year.
4816  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you trust the co-vid19 vaccine ? on: November 30, 2020, 08:31:13 AM
I have heard a lot of opinions ... many are pro vaccine but also many are against it ...
And some don't even believe there is a real vaccine ... What about you ?

I am not against the vaccine, because the corona pandemic is changing our lifes so extremely, I would be very happy if we could end this virus in 2021. So far I didn't really read a lot of news regarding the side effects of the vaccine. I hope they are not bad, but it's going to take a while until I get the vaccine anyways. I am assuming that older people, medical staff and high risk patience will get vaccinated first.
4817  Economy / Economics / Re: 2021 not Looking good on: November 30, 2020, 08:20:51 AM
2021 not Looking good!

Only things what could be good are Bitcoin and cryptocurrency
Other things dont look good!

The economy will go lowest i Think.

Becouse there is still some countries who operating quite normal like sweden, finland but 2021 I think they have to face reality

And I dont see that Central Banks will just recklessly print money anymore just to pump Up economy I think this time they will say no more free money we dont kill the currencies with inflation

I dont belive that money printing dream anymore
And I think the Central bankers are same realistic as I am.

I don't agree with your bad outlook for 2021. In my opinion everything for the next year depends on how good we can manage the corona pandemic. Once we can contain the pandemic everything will recover. We are having multiple companies already mass producing a vaccine for next year. Now it's all about getting the people vaccinated and back to a normal life. It can't get much worse than this year and the many lock downs.

4819  Other / Off-topic / Re: Importance of water on: November 30, 2020, 07:51:50 AM
About 90% of heart attacks occur early in the morning & it can be reduced if one takes a glass or two of water before going to bed at night.

We know water is important but never know about the special times one has to drink it.. !!

Did you  Huh

Drinking water at the right time maximizes its effectiveness on the human body;

1. 1 Glass of water after waking up - helps to activate internal organs..

2. 1 Glass of water 30 minutes before a meal - helps digestion..

3. 1 Glass of water before taking a bath - helps lower your blood pressure.

4. 1 Glass of water before going to  bed -  avoids stroke  or heart attack .

You can check details on google.

The human body is made mainly out of water, so drinking a lot of water makes sense. I would recommend drinking at least 2 L of water per day. The only problem I have when drinking a lot before going to bed, I wake up at night and have to go to the toilet. For me its better to drink in the morning.
4820  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker Probability on: November 29, 2020, 10:55:33 AM
I'd disagree with this. Whilst we can calculate the static odds of a certain hand, it is extremely difficult to calculate on-the-fly, in the middle of a game, what your chances are of getting a certain hand - and of other players getting certain hands. The people-reading is certainly a key part of being a successful player, but the ability to even approximate the odds in the middle of a game is a vital vital skill. I think I'm an okay poker player, not bad but not great, and I do try to estimate very rough odds whilst games are in progress - it is an extremely difficult challenge.
Erm, flying on the fly isn't what I meant by straightforward, that's 2 different things imo. That's a "skill" in of itself, but the math behind it is plainly straightforward with no particular issues for errors. A result doesn't change randomly, it changes depending on the move made by you and the player against you, as well as the cards on the table. With those factors the only ones affecting the end result, it's a pretty straightforward calculation. Knowing said calculation does not guarantee a win though, since in the first place, the basis of the calculations is probabilities, and there isn't any 100% guarantee anywhere imo.

Also once you start to play more regularly you should be playing based on a certain range of cards. Probability of winning is one thing, but if you only bet the top 10 cards, and fold/call the rest, you become very easy to be outplayed. For example, if you play J10 the same way you play your K10 or A10 then it becomes much harder for your opponents to put you on a specific hand. A lot of people take notes when playing online, there is wide variety of player colors you can assign to people. Which makes it easier to call or fold in some instances.
