Yeah, this year should be a tree drivers thing, IMHO.

Top Tier: Hamilton
Second Tier: Verstappen - LeClerc
Second and a half tier: Vettel

Third Tier: Bottas.

From this list, the one with the better car will win.

If Mercedes > Ferrari > RedBull = Hamilton

If Mercedes < Ferrari > RedBull = LeClerc

If Mercedes < Ferrari < RedBull = Verstappen

@coinlockets$ it’ll yet be another disappointing season for me if Hamilton wins it again, because I’m tired of seeing him win the title season after season. Though you have considered Bottas in the third tier in my opinion he can definitely move up to the second tier, but then again I know Mercedes will never allow him to win the race because they’ll always prefer Hamilton winning the race.
4802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UK gamblers cannot use Credit Cards for gambling from April 14, 2020 on: January 27, 2020, 10:13:10 AM
Such a correct decision that is needed to be implemented in more countries all over the world.
It is a great way to protect people from losing all their money in gambling spots. Wealth is protected along with economic stability.
You know the reason why people get attracted to something that is forbidden? It the curiosity that why they are forbidden to do something. That is why censorship never works. Being open minded and allowing people to know things and decide for themselves is more healthy even though the bad effect can be dire in this approach.

Removing credit card payment from gambling would not stop gambling but increase it because those who are gamblers will not be able to douse the fire in them for gambling addiction. So they will go for more circumvention methods. Maybe they will go for bitcoin or seek a overseas dealer and pay them to deposit money on their account.

@TheUltraElite you have a valid point out here and there’s no doubt that once you’re addicted to something it’s very difficult to give it up, and it’ll be interesting to see what alternative these gamblers will seek once the regulations are implemented.

This may actually be a positive development.

Gamblers who are inclined to bet on credit probably don't have the rational mindset that are needed to make decisions in the first place. Anything that they gamble on casinos with credit is likely gonig to result in longlasting losses that they can never dig out of.

That is obviously bad both from the perspective of the gambler, and the card issuer - by explicitly banning this act everyone benefits.

@magneto you’re absolutely correct because not all gamblers know when to stop and some like me will keep on chasing their losses, and in that process incur unnecessary high debts too hence banning credit cards for gambling is a good idea.

All in all, I don't mind, I agree that with such high price volatility, it's even fun gambling.
You write that you have already bet, if u do not mind, could you state what price and when you bet earlier and on what price you will bet tomorrow? Smiley I wonder which one will be closer to the final one at the end of month... Wink Let's do a small experiment  Grin

I made my first two bets two weeks ago, or maybe even earlier. I expected the price would rise significantly in the end of January(and I still hope, it will). Those were my two earlier bets:

But, unfortunately, I missed my chance to bet in the very last hour. When I remembered about that, it was too late already. I was going to bet on whatever range the price was at the moment of betting, so I would bet on "$8,001 - $8,500".

But this is not the end of the month yet, so I still hope to win with 57.92x multiplier. Smiley

@Betwrong I didn’t see the odds for this bet but I feel $9500 could have been achieved had the rally continued, but sadly the rally stopped midway and now you’re going to loose this bet unless a miracle happens in the last few days. Further had you selected $8k - $8.5k then there was a high possibility of you winning your bet, but it’s okay I’m sure you’ll make better predictions for the February contest.

Today is sunday and heres the updated ranking for this week.  Kiss

@milewilda look at the top 3 they all wanted to reach the top spot, and welshy99212 finally managed to oust vacek from the top spot and now he has secured the spot for himself. Also Argo01 moved from the third spot to the second spot, and this shows how competitive it can get when you’re playing at Bitdice.

Good ol' Inter is back!...To those who don't know, this has been Inter for the past few years, first half of the season they're fighting for the top spot, then everyting's starts to fall apart as soon as the 2nd half of the season begins  Roll Eyes
I thought conte would be able to change all that, fight till the end and bring win the title with inter, but none of that looks like happening for them, they are capitulating slowly and I wouldn't be too surprised if juventus wins the title with over 8-10 points gap at the end of the season.

All inter can pray for now is for Napoli to do them a favor and beat juventus today, if that happens, then it's a 3 point lead and still recoverable for inter Milan, but we all know Juve would see this game out later today.

@tomahawk9 I can totally understand what you’re trying to say, because I have been following Serie A league for quiet a while now and I thought maybe this year Inter won’t disappoint but no they just had to disappoint. @Coyster I don’t think Napoli can stop Juventus attack, and I expect Juventus to win this match easily. However I feel Conte is building a team for the future, and hopefully next season they’ll will win the title.
4806  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Lost BTC in hard drive failure, still have to pay taxes? on: January 26, 2020, 01:42:10 PM
It all depends on where you live and how you obtained the BTC.

Where I'm at if I'd just bought it then no. If I got it by earning it and trading if it's above the limits they give then I'm still liable for the tax on those earnings even if I have no way of paying it.

Look at these people who did a million shitcoin trades, wound up with nothing and didn't realise every trade was taxable.

Still, I wouldn't bother mentioning it.

The op has not provided any kind of information to us whether he brought those coins or he earned it via some services he may have provided, and till he doesn’t clarify this how are we supposed to guide him about his tax liability?. @gentlemand how does the taxman find about these trades if the person doesn’t disclose it?, or do taxmen get inputs from the exchanges regarding these transaction can you clarify this part?.
4807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Japan reportedly working on a proposal to issue a national digital currency on: January 26, 2020, 11:05:19 AM
Ruling party lawmakers in Japan are reportedly working on a proposal to issue a national digital currency, Reuters reports on Jan. 24. This appears to be a response to fears of a Chinese digital yuan.

READ FULL DETAILS VIA THE LINK BELOW...
https://worldpublicityblog.com/index.php/2020/01/25/japans-lawmakers-are-reportedly-working-on-a-proposal-to-issue-a-national-digital-currency/

Hm, interesting. It might be just rumours, though, or this research can conclude that there is no use in such a digital currency. I believe that's what happened in other countries that looked into similar possibilities.
In case they decide to implement it (which is not likely, I believe), I wonder how it would affect their policies regarding Bitcoin. As far as I know, Bitcoin is currently pretty much legal tender there, but it would probably change if Japan opts for their own currency, right? What do you think?

Japan is most bitcoin friendly country in the world. May be Japanese legislative now think that its time to go hard on bitcoin as other governments are doing. Not many governments in the world are bitcoin friendly.

I doubt they’ll do it because they have already legalised bitcoins in their country and are earning from it’s sales and purchase, hence I don’t see any need for them to spend additional funds and develop an alternative currency. @msarro @kryptqnick first of all I don’t believe that they’ll make a alt coin, and secondly even if they do they won’t put any restrictions on bitcoins because it’s already regulated by them. Also we should wait for few more days because there’s no official statement from the government regarding this coin, and once the government declares their stand only then can we start speculating what will be it’s effect on bitcoin prices.
4808  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 26, 2020, 07:33:09 AM
Ben stokes has made another unruly thing during the match at wanderers against South Africa, at the end of the match, Ben apologises for his bad language but it's not the first time he did like this, a lot of unruly things he had made previously, whatever the case is, England has made a huge impact after the end of the 2nd day of the first test. 400 runs and taken 6 wickets at this time was a really good performance so far. especially Mark Wook has taken 3 wickets for only 21 runs, Most important thing is that again pope has score 56 runs at his early career, but for me, this test will not much competitive.

Ben Stokes is an emotional player and he often gets in trouble because of his inability to control his emotions, but at the end of the day he’s not a bad player and whenever he realises that he’s wrong he will immediately apologise for his mistakes. @Murat I feel disappointed by South Africa’s players performance during their first innings, and I feel this match will end by tomorrow only as England players are not giving any chance to South Africa player’s to make a come back in this game.
4809  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FA Cup and EFL Cup Prediction Thread on: January 26, 2020, 05:15:46 AM
The Man City vs Man Utd League Cup semi final is basically decided, City have a good lead, I don’t see United turning that round.
3 1 is actually a very comfortable lead for Manchester city going into the second leg and that should be enough for them to progress into the final, but with how shaky and erratic city defense has been this season, then I may not give it to them as of yet, if Manchester United can stop City from scoring in the second leg, then anything can happen, but can they still city from putting the ball in the net at the etihad  Huh
The Leicester vs Villa tie is more interesting, I think Leicester would have a much better chance to beat City in a potential final so I will root for them.
For the neutrals, a Leicester Vs City final would be better, but I'm sure City fans will be praying for Villa in the final if they make it there, as for the English Fa, no doubt for more publicity they'll also want to see either City/united Vs Leicester in the final.
Marcus Rashord  of man Utd who should have been a potential threat to Man City shaky and erratic defence is down with injury and presently Man Utd had not playing well, the goal margin is wide difficult fir them to cause an upset.
Meanwhile I expect leceister beat Aston Villa in the other pairings I believed they are back to their winning ways after some back to back defeats in EPL.

Manchester City may have an erratic defence but Manchester United attack is horrible at this moment, and if they don’t buy Cavani and Fernandes then they won’t win this match. @gabbie yea Rashford will be sorely missed and it’s all Ole’s fault, because he played Rashford despite knowing that Rashford needed rest to recover for important matches ahead.

Holy fuck! What the hell from Pique, It's just 10 minutes and Piques just gave Valencia an opportunity to take the lead! What a silly challenge.

EDIT: Ter stegen saved it, Scores remains goalless. It would have been a blow to Barca has they've dominated the entire prior to that fast break for Valencia.
They now have a goal... It should have been 2-0 by now  Shocked
Valencia's attempts are far more potent compared to Barcelona's. Barcelona are playing like they have already won the league. If this is the kind of play the new Coach is going to emphasize, then it's going to be a fail.

Goals win matches, not possessing the ball with short passes while waking on the pitch.

Barcelona lost the match and as a Real Madrid fan I’m very happy with this result, and now I’m sincerely hoping that Real Madrid can win their match on Monday and establish a healthy lead at the top of the table. @Bitcoin_Arena it’s too early to blame their new coach, because we need to give him some more time before we can fully understand his methods.
4811  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin valuation forecast for 2020-2060 from $10K to $100K: Is it reasonable? on: January 25, 2020, 01:21:46 PM
Trying to predict bitcoin 40 years from now is nothing more than dart throwing.  There is absolutely no scientific way to determine crypto prices 40 years from now, if anyone tells you there is they are either lying or kidding themselves.  Stick to the near term and let history handle itself.  Keep stacking sats and enjoy the ride.

@wheelz1200 I’ll second that because none of us can even correctly predict where bitcoin prices will end in 2020, therefore predicting for 40 years from now doesn’t make any sense in my opinion. Another factor why it’s so difficult to predict bitcoin prices for the future is, because we do not know which events will take place and what will be their effect on bitcoin prices.
4812  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Google ads misleading people. on: January 25, 2020, 09:59:00 AM
You shouldn't rely on Google to protect you from scams, be it from ads, emails, their app store, whatever. They do very little due diligence in to the things they host or promote. They care about money and collecting your data. They have zero interest in your security. Your security is your responsibility.

First of all, why anyone browses without an ad blocker is beyond me. There is literally no good reason not to use one, it's free, and it takes all of 30 seconds to install. uBlock Origin is the only ad blocker you will ever need, and it will block all Google ads. There are links to download it for all major browsers on their GitHub here: https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock.

Secondly, don't do a simple web search for any service, be that this forum, an exchange, a wallet (web or software download), etc. There is a high chance of ending up on a phishing or scam site. Bookmark the correct URL.

Thirdly, stop using Google. Use a search engine which will both respect your privacy and not assault you with ads for scams. DuckDuckGo or Searx are good alternatives.

@o_e_l_e_o you're absolutely correct about googles intentions, because all they care is about getting rich and they keep changing their policies to suit themselves. Also I’m using the bookmark tool for all my important sites, and I’m using an antivirus which often tells me when the site is not safe hence I recommend people to use antivirus for their devices. DuckDuckGo is indeed one of the best alternatives to google, but what I don’t like about them is that they’re an affiliate search engine.

4813  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk finally weighs in on Bitcoin in a longer than usual commentary on: January 25, 2020, 06:05:59 AM
So Elon Musk finally went a little deeper on Bitcoin and cryptocurrency, sharing his thoughts in a recent interview with the Third Row Tesla Podcast - Elon's Story - Part 1.

I mean in the past he did call Bitcoin "quite brilliant", while criticizing it for being "energy intensive", and even joking about pervasive crypto scams that were originated in his name. So in the course of this interview Elon compared money to an information system for label allocation (1hr:22min into the video) and while at it bagged on the banks as heterogeneous low security high latency databases.
To save you a lot of time, the Bitcoin bit comes at 1hr:33min into the video when one of the interviewers asks "You love code but you dont seem to be bullish about Bitcoin", so the Great One waffle a little first saying he is neither here no there on Bitcoin, calls it "pretty clever" but then takes us down a familiar road with the "there are these transactions that are not within the balance of the law" and reducing Bitcoin to a "legal to illegal" bridge. Gets a little better when he talks about crypto being replacement for cash, but not a primary database...

As a Tesla owner and Tesla/SpaceX/TeslaEnergy fanatic, and a bit of an Elon Musk fanboy, I was a little disappointed...

What do you think about this folks? Great visionary guy missing the point? I mean he is clearly up the speed on finance and tech, having co-founded PayPal etc..

Elon Musk doesn’t care for bitcoins and he only keeps on making these statements, because he keeps getting free publicity from the crypto community and the media. I personally feel we should stop paying attention to his statements, because he’s not helping in adoption of bitcoins. It’s pertinent to note that if he really wishes to help then he should accept bitcoins for tesla cars as that’ll push people to buy bitcoins.
4814  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 25, 2020, 03:15:15 AM
Shoaib Malik reminds me of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Both are of the same age (38 years) and the fans in their respective countries are heavily polarized between those who argues for them to be allowed in the team, and those who want them to retire. But I can tell you one thing. Pakistan needs Malik now to stabilize their playing XI. The younger players are not performing that well.
Shoaib Malik and Mahendra Singh Dhoni are of the same age but they play a different brand of cricket and Pakistan really need Shoaib Malik to stabilize the team and if it not for his performance then they could have been in trouble and it is good to see that Shoaib Malik is back in the team. I want to see India giving a good send off to Mahendra Singh Dhoni as he gave many memorable performances and i wanted Dhoni to be in the T20 World Cup team as he is the first World Cup winner.

If he performs well during the IPL 2020, then I guess the selectors will give him a chance. But he needs to counter the critics by scoring the runs at a good pace. During the CWC 2019, his strike rate was below what was expected from him, and that too during the final phases of the innings. Anyway, just two more months to go for the IPL. Let's see how he performs for the Chennai Super Kings.

The door is not entirely closed for the ex Indian Captain according to the coach of India, who says that if Ms Dhoni performs well in IPL he may be selected for the T20 World Cup. However even Ms Dhoni knows it now that he’s no longer required in the playing 11, and as harsh as it may sound it’s the reality and he’ll have to accept it. Things would have been different had KL Rahul not performed so well with the gloves, but he’s suddenly seeming the first choice as the Indian wicket keeper which further spells the end of Ms Dhoni’s international career.

I can if I see any indication that CSNO will be back to ICO price
There is a reality that, not all investments has to make you a profit, sometimes when you invest into a new coin or token the price may fall, if every single one of your investments were successful you would basically be rich and wealthy in no time.

This could be an investment that takes a bit of time, it was already known that even after they got the funding it would take time to use that funding, they can't just use all of that money in a single day and make an amazing website and be done with it, any decent developer would tell you that it takes time to overhaul a whole casino that is still running while trying to improve.

CSNO "might" still go back to ICO prices and even more, you just have to wait for the website to get better, that is the only chance you have, if they actually make a great website and get more famous and attract many customers, it will be a good investment for the long term, if they fail, it is another failed coin, yet none of this reflects to casino itself tho, casino part of it is legit and proper, the ICO could be a bad investment but that doesn't change the fact that casino part is decent.

Thank you for your comment.

As I've said, by no means is development at a stop. Management is working hard to come up with a good new website instead of rushing it through just because something new has to be launched immediately.

@BoXXoB I totally agree with your statement that one cannot rush into making a website, and these days people do not tolerate messy websites hence it’s best to take some more time rather than rush it.

Also I have said it before that gambling is a competitive industry, but with proper marketing and seo practise Bitdice will be able to attract many customers hence you’ll just need to show some faith and wait patiently for the new site.

This judgement is not helpful because it fails to direct banks to accept money arising from the sale or purchase of bitcoins. Secondly it doesn’t even clarify how one will show bitcoins in their tax files, therefore people will not be keen to buy bitcoins without getting more clarity.

Haland is a monster, but people are not yet aware of the talent, in addition to playing that kind of game on his debut. I love him primarily because he is not like Neymar and someone like him, he doesn't build his character on marketing but is a goal machine, people find him selfish, but you can't have a problem with a player when he scores and wins then he should be selfish.
As much as Manchester United are always having problems with Mino Raiola, they should have put ten their pride aside and just bought Haaland because he was the perfect striker that Manchester United needed and considering that we don't have a real centre forward in all our attacking options so he would have been perfect for us.

Haaland is great but the Manchester United team is not.
This would create huge problem to him if he was a member of the team. He wouldn't be able to perform at his max.

I don't think he's for MU, and I can't see him in MU's jersey. There are several reasons, of course, that the first bad game is MU, and it will not be able to progress, the second is that MU will probably not play European competitions if it continues like this. But I think Halland should stay in Dortmund, because he will prosper there and increase his price and gain experience, because in all likelihood, he will play the first line-up. Prtiom remember that 18.02 they play against PSG, so they will have a pause to show the world their quality.

Hallands hattrick debut is a proof that he’ll turn into a mega star in coming years, and I won’t be surprised if in two years time some team purchases him for $200 millions. I’m a Manchester United fan and I have no shame in admitting that Halland would have destroyed his career had he moved to Manchester United this season. However having said that I wouldn’t be surprised if he comes to Manchester United at a later stage in his career where we’re finally competing for trophies, but that’ll take quiet a long while so for the time being let’s enjoy seeing him play for Dortmund.

Shikhar Dhawan injured his shoulders while fielding in the last ODI against Australia and it was a freak accident while diving and these injuries does happen in the field and you cannot do anything about it and even Rohit Sharma dislocated his shoulders while fielding in the previous game and that too while diving for the ball, either they have to minimize taking risk in the field and under perform and with the competition they have now they need to be good in the field or someone will replace you.

Risk are taken by every fielder but dhawan has been stuck with injuries. I think his body is not able to take it anymore. He is good player but injuries are harming his performance.

The team management won't be much bothered. I hope that it is a minor injury. The selectors have called up Prithvi Shaw and Sanju Samson. These two players had performed well for India A, against the visiting New Zealand A team. But even then, it will be difficult for either Shaw or Samson to get an automatic slot in the playing XI. That is unless Rishabh Pant gets dropped.
Since KL Rahul put up an extra ordinary performance in the recent series against Australia then Pant ha lesser chance to get a spot inplaying XI and don't forget he also got injured on that series so I feel Samson will be given a chance to prove himself on oveseas condition.

Yes KL Rahul has a good chance but Pant cannot be neglected. The conditions in Newzealand are very different to what these players are accustom with and I am sure they all will be tested there.

Shikhar Dhawans injury is ill timed as he was just returning to form, and now the selectors will have to take a call whether to keep him in the team or drop him in the long term even if regains his fitness. Also I feel that Rishabh Pant will have a difficult time getting into the team lineup because KL Rahul can act as a wicket keeper, and this frees space for one additional bowler or batsmen in the team.

I’m not sure why Pogba is still attracting interest from the biggest clubs, it’s 2020 not 2015.

This question can be answered with 2 answers.

1 Skill, whatever fans will say (cause the majority are sheep and follow media who create flame to sell more copies or get more clicks so they make more money form ads) he is still one of the best in the world on his role even if he plays with the intent of leaving, imagine what he will do in a team where he really wants to play

2 Marketing, he is one of the top players in the world with followers on social media and he is an "Adidas" promoter with "Messi", so I can imagine a team like Real or Juve pushing for him cause they wear Adidas and they will get more money from them as sponsor.

Yup, he still has a few good years ahead of him, tho his stock slightly plummetted as of late prolly cos of a mix of a bad career decision and his ego.  He could've done better at United (even with the club's current rut) if he just put his head down and worked hard.  IMHO.

@DeathAngle at times I too have wondered why did Manchester United pay so much for him because he plays so bad, and then there were matches where he played at his best and I told myself we got him at a cheap price. Also Pogba is one of the best players in the world, and you’ll see him fully unleashed once he seals his transfer to Real Madrid. @coinlocket$ you’re absolutely correct it’s because of his commercial value that Manchester United is not keen to sell him, despite the fact that he has only played 8 times in this season.
