4821  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who pays for these companies? What is the resistance point of Bitcoin? on: February 15, 2021, 08:04:17 AM
There is the idea that people may deliver less trade on a public holiday but also China has a tradition of money presents around now which would suggest a greater flow of capital in the young receiving that or so Im told by those who know the customs.  Im not sure that has an observable effect on the market but the public holidays probably would register in some way.

In this area anyway is some resistance, its projected via previous pricing not something I do personally as I just draw a trend line and I have us only slightly below that measure maybe.   Moving averages has us close to the 2 day average and just below but this is just momentum so its hard to say.   We've gone sideways a few days now  45817 is the low to watch and if we confirm below on a 4hr bar its a negative progression but only short term still.
4822  Economy / Speculation / Re: How would you protect your potential profits? on: February 14, 2021, 11:35:58 PM
You could try dollar cost averaging.     Lets say you are being totally sensible here, you gained 100k of BTC value and you have a house debt of 50k owing and you want the security of knowing no matter what your family is safe in a fully paid house.   A very reasonable expenditure increasing security.
What you could do is use the 50k BTC to repay the housing debt and then rebuy the BTC over a planned term say 3 years or whatever idea you can come up with for a possible scenario to redirect future earnings.    Some will say why bother but good health is not always assured but bills will always need paying and puts the house at risk if you get sick say.      I noticed this guy is super bearish on BTC but appears to have a daily buy on BTC as he backs it long term perhaps, his native country destroyed their currency I think etc.    So his expectation is negative but even if BTC appreciates you also will realise a gain even buying the BTC back every day or week etc.  ; it just will be less then holding all but we dont know the future hence its viable imo.
4823  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will not reach $50,000 on: February 14, 2021, 11:27:58 PM
Some people would take that as a negative but I already count BTC as having reached 50k basically.   We have numerous FIAT currencies all over the world and many are already at that point or there are private exchanges where the agreed price was at 50k or higher.    Anyone who deals in escrow that kind of thing will frequently set a price around the market not exactly at the market, so that easily takes us over 50k for some people right now.   If you ever bought holiday money and noticed the rate was a little different, its because they put their costs into the stated price or exchange rate so its common practise and its possible this happens with various goods etc. off exchange not quite so keenly bid.
Hence we already exceeded 50k in transacted BTC price in a few sites Im fairly sure, it can be a psychological thing where people put theirs orders to the nearest flat number so lets see if there is any effect from that.
4824  Economy / Speculation / Re: Apple is buying Bitcoin on: February 13, 2021, 11:58:08 PM
I get a bit apprehensive if people feel the need to hype the price with news before its occurred and may never occur, its likely we have hot money speculating on higher and trying to trigger such a move.   We cannot move BTC price continually higher without checking and revising lower prices or it becomes unstable and liable to a sell off which is far more damaging then taking a longer time to wind upwards.
From a quick look at the charts I'm more bullish if we close above, confirm and maintain a price of at least 47163 where it could accumulate further and break a range upwards.   For the moment its still possible we also may check prices down to 30k still, especially if some only hold BTC via leverage then almost always the market will come calling to check those positions.

The faucet goes up like a quarter when price drops below a certain amount.   The constant adjustment was always a core thing, just BTC being this high puts us at the end of the yellow brick road because it is the impossible in reality.  Cant blame the original algorithm for that, I dont think in retrospect anything would have been different and if we didn't claim the faucet and save it then thats on us.   I just was never that serious about it, Ive said before but if nobody used BTC for stuff I think it fails then tbh so it is better to bet some of your balance imo and price will go down over months sometimes also or its not right.

50k is the amount of income they debate whether to send help for struggling families.  50k sounds alot then you have to realize USA is also pretty bad on taxes, some states maybe you pay half of that in taxes of various sorts federal and local.   There is some advantage in varying countries where the costs aren't ridiculous for rent or housing especially is a big deal.    That is why Im optimisic on some elements of 2020 that occurred to further distance or remote working and general efficient usage of networks rather then people sitting in traffic for an hour to go to work and an hour to come back.  I always thought the sad reality of commuting was like being in the Flintstones cartoon where its almost surreal comedy how much waste is occurring in processes eg. to jam pack people closer.
That relates to crypto because this is or should be about efficiency and distance secure transactions, if thats true and dollar continues to be a political mess rotting capitalism inside out then crypto likely does well year to year; even if we dropped the rest of this year I'd still recognize this as likely ongoing bullish trend.

Check your emails for the free wheel of fortune spins,  very nearly expired my free spin from it getting buried in my email inbox.   Nows the time to check as any further on and it runs out of time to claim, I checked 2x free spins and got the big RP reward so worth a thought.   I need to remake my mail filter to highlight it.

Faze doing well as of late but to beat Navi I wouldn't go with because Navi also are doing well within their skill range and their skill range is major winners and the best in the world so that was not a tempting bet for me.

This guy Im following is from the 2014 era of big betting which I respect and appreciate the posting of his bets of course but definitely it pays to have your own opinion when to follow or not.  Alot of the players then are still in teams but obviously things change and they were a bit off today.   I dont think this game is going to end with a positive result for him either as Mibr should not be beating Liquid most of the time though they seem to be improving and Liquid is a bit flaky imo;  7x live odds its worth considering but doubt I will

[mibr win 6 rounds in a row after I post lol]

People start doing this... thinking that the few Satoshi that they are claiming is actually worth something.

It is if you wait long enough, I wouldn't put too much effort into it but just as a page that loads on browser open is hardly a big ask.   If we went back to 2016 era it might be that the faucet payout was 1000 satoshi or even double that or more and that's now half a dollar.   We didn't know but its pretty much the same for all of crypto that it doesn't add up to much at first.   Take the faucet and gamble it on slim odds the event nobody thinks will occur but might, then nothing is lost but maybe a gain; depends how people want to play it.   People lack imagination and patience to wait, I think the site now with event bets is far broader interest.
4828  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin can hit $50k? on: February 12, 2021, 11:59:12 PM
I think it has to meet 50k just to prove this point as resistance or not, the reason being is the target is fixated in peoples minds.

Trend is good, momentum is there and it can certainly come back to this point even if it needs to retest slightly lower near term.
4829  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don't be surprise to see price of btc drop this week on: February 12, 2021, 07:47:55 PM
Look for a drop if we can break this trend along with current short term momentum.  It would revise all the prices around the Tesla price gain which is probably going to occur anyway at some point.

I heard someone mentioned a double holiday both in China and USA two of the big markets for BTC and that might allow a different price to occur.   Im never sure if low volume can help higher prices also though.
4830  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esports Prediction & Discussion Thread on: February 12, 2021, 07:33:47 PM
i totally forgot Twistzz recently joined FaZe. That match has O2.5 maps written all over it, but if previous matches in other groups are anything to go by, FaZe will win today  Smiley

I've been told to bet Liquid in 2 maps win so have done that but I'm quite sceptical just on the names alone and as said above Twistzz was one of the best players on Liquid so how does this make sense I dont know.    Olaf wants to retire ok so thats some doubts on one player, perhaps thats enough and Liquid is a very strong team who wont slip and I might just be prejudice from so many NA failed bets where they go derp mode.
If Liquid have a plan for each map played then they win both, if its a pug match purely on aim and rushing sites then maybe either team can win it.

Navi take the bo3 but kudos to mibr for a decent challenge vs world #2 is perhaps fair conclusion also.
4831  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy every dip, and HODL! on: February 12, 2021, 06:12:30 PM
Dip at the 2 day average was bought today and right now its regained above the 12hr average which is how the fastest gains occur over various periods.

still very bullish, hard to critique a price where the pullback is only to the 2 day average and it took a while to go that far.
4832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esports Prediction & Discussion Thread on: February 12, 2021, 06:44:26 AM
Device's gf is Swedish I think so he stays there in lockdown situ perhaps.   IGL is a big deal that changes the game, I need to watch Col then but this isnt the first time they do what appears unlikely.

Definitely didnt expect Complexity to lead the group though.
Cant be underdog if they are top, hopefully plenty of doubt remains for reasonable odds to occur.

NAVI - MIBR feels like its gonna go Navi way.
Navi have been on form recently.   Fallen in Liquid seems to be doing ok, but his top also is in potential enough to change the winner of a match not sure he is doing that well.   The Brazilian super squad framenting is a bit like the Swedish squads breaking lose like ronin they roam as both lost samurai and with deadly force  Grin  (not Ronin the team Tongue)

Playing in the same room helps teamwork, anything which coordinates a team is going to be OP, have to rate that as some active factor though also Astralis actually doing their homework most of the time where as some teams are chaos undisciplined talent to random effect is also something else obvious in results but not something we can tell beforehand each individual match.
4833  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's reason for pumping btc price? on: February 11, 2021, 11:28:48 PM
Main reason is momentum which hasnt run out yet or fomo more famously, people buy because other people have bought and the same can happen with sells.   Its a different movement from a slower more fundamental gain perhaps so keep looking for fast measures as a guide I guess is fair.

most of today price action moved above 12hr average with the 2 day average moving about 46k.   The lows today were the highs of the initial move upwards and represent something of a buy opportunity for some hence we came back as there are still new buyers interested and optimistic further.

less then 1 satoshi is not problem
It is a problem because its not going to appear tangible or of tradable worth to anyone, not if the concept of less then 1 Bitcoin took years for people to realise you dont need an entire coin to really use it.  Less then 1 satoshi is going to have the appearance of pocket fluff, I dont think its advisable to go this route when a gambling risk route can account for value adjustment and make it more fun for people to be involved with the site.

FUN requires holding for a month and I think those no captcha version would be via the website where as you are currently playing via an email offer as a newsletter subscriber so its two different things I guess.  There is going to be some people who will sell whenever they first can, even though thats also the first day it gives a bonus for holding but thats par for the course and it might just be they have to pay an unexpected bill that's life but the bonus is for the long term users as I understand it.
I'll accumulate a little on the lows and just generally hold very likely more then a year, the biggest gains I got in any blockchain or token is mostly when I wasn't looking at the price or I even forgot and my guess that's still going to be true, patience will be an asset despite the giant amount of hype and price froth in recent months.  In some confusing way crypto is a long term mover born out by the existence and active consideration of a 200 week average which exists on no other commodity or chart I've seen in any market place.   I wish I had this attitude better in 2016 when someone offered me .5 btc for about 40 hours of transcribing work .
Someone popped in March on this thread during the big sell and I said go ask what the long termers are saying, you need to have their attitude and I know he read that as he gave me a merit for the comment.  Apparently he did pop in and comment but failed to pick up any assurance on long term prospects and sold out 10 BTC on the lows apparently.   They joking about that now which I wish they wouldn't as its just generally a 'mistake' anyone can make and hindsight is 20/20.  Wild pricing applies again to any market with human bidders in it and Buffet refers to the phenomena of Mr. Market and the almost random and often inaccurate prices it will throw out;  Benjamin Graham is actually the scholar, Buffet is more famous but main point crypto has epic size price volatility to it.
4835  Economy / Speculation / Re: HOW LONG WILL THIS BULL RUN LAST ? on: February 10, 2021, 11:57:09 PM
Looking at the strength of the move how it holds the gains, we're back to the region of where we rose to initially on the news of TSLA buying BTC

I think if we stay above 44777 its merely checking the past price history as a low, the most bullish outcome is this.    A proper check would be about 50% retrace so 41948 and also notable is 41k area for a prior high recently and if we dont hold there i think 39k is a full retrace and check of prior volume.  We have to go into daily and weekly bars at that point to see how its going.

4836  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 10, 2021, 10:58:01 PM
Thats actually a very reasonable point, the lows tend to be alot more consistent and reliable to predict where as the tops are very frothy hence the great doubts expressed by some as it swings back and forth rapidly.

Theres an opportunity to throw off bots and users who arent real so go with whatever solution best favours that outcome because in turn it means real people will get a better faucet available to them whatever the BTC price.

Probably the faucet should favor activity because thats why its hourly currently right.    Many casinos have some kind of pay to encourage usage of the site so thats the ideal, faucet does rise with site usage already of course but this time to pay the minimum probably has to tie into active use of the site even if they dont bet alot obviously bitcoin scales to all users ideally and I see that as a strength.
My idea would be to tie basic payout to a 'crash gambling' game because I always liked that game.   Rather then time accelerate, it could be odds or lives given to survive the 'crash gambling' game are greater with Premium members, bigger site gamblers etc.  So they are naturally winning more often on the faucet but absolutely everyone has a chance just the basic faucet payout (initially) equating to a slim chance of winning the chances on a crash game, you could gain a better chance over time so that eventually it will payout just like the faucet now is a chance payout also with slim odds.

Yahoo.com used to be the biggest website in the world, they worth nothing now

I use them almost every day, mostly finance stories etc but they are still useful doubt its worthless.   They arent doing anything worse now but they just didnt advance or innovate as others around them did, a few poor investment decisions didnt help their value.   We didnt even have search engines especially when Yahoo was originally king, its a very different time from the old 'Portal' meta a few might remember

500k is the video I last saw posted by someone quite mainstream as per their expectations of Bitcoin this year.    Might be going a bit OTT barring actual substantial changes to the world, I guess the price would move perhaps before we knew why exactly I just dont think its all one year.

Price right now is above 2 day average easily but I think that measure does catch up, which is yellow line here on this chart.  I think 45k is something of a pivotal price as to the speed of price gain.

4840  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin eyes $50K less than a month after BTC price broke its 2017 all-time high on: February 09, 2021, 02:34:13 PM
Remains bullish, I think 45k is something of a trend for it to maintain this higher momentum.   Highs right this moment are a 12hr average which is very fast momentum, its more reasonable for price to work off the 2 day average but while its rising very fast then I expect to see it stay above the 12hr while it bursts upwards.
