4821  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: April 18, 2014, 06:34:32 PM
So, my thinking is CC.  CC is not an exchange, it is a way shareholders can direct trade shares with each other.  So, my thinking is if I can get the shares registered, then shareholder could use CC to trade direct and the SEC would not have a problem with that as long as the shares are registered.

Can you explain why the SEC should matter to me? I think ActM is a Belize Company so the legal entity selling the shares is in Belize. If the SEC has to protect US Customers then only allow non-US-Investors to trade at least.

Waiting for CC, which looks abandoned, and the SEC, which might take months, sounds to me like no trading for a very long time from now.

Its funny that you mean being able to sell the shares of an investor even against its will but cant allow other shareholders to trade. The SEC doesnt make such exceptions. I mean for sure you sold some shares to US-Residents then. But the risk selling shares to US Residents now is too big but when you sold ukyo's shares it was fine. That sounds like you take it like you want it.

Sometimes i feel the bitcoin community turned into 90% anger and 10% good things. I hope being out of all these headache things at some point.
4822  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANNOUNCE] LitecoinWidget: bitcoin / altcoin price widget for android on: April 18, 2014, 04:42:07 PM
Is the widget still working with just-dice? It shows me after refreshing 15031,2934%. Till now i thought it shows the profit on just-dice right side. But that profit is at 15898,2770 at the moment.

There was a permission issue on the server I use to cache the data. I just fixed it. Thanks for letting me know it was broken.

Thanks! It seems to be more near the real numbers but it isnt exact. It shows 15889 since some time though in reality it is 15872 since some time now. Even though the update time says it should be more near the real value.

Isnt it possible to take the value directly from just-dice?
4823  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Asked a society to accept bitcoin donations and they created a way now :) on: April 17, 2014, 07:34:27 PM
I post this so you guys can see that asking for accepting bitcoins might work finally. I wanted to help a moderate sized society named LobbyControl e.V. (https://www.lobbycontrol.de), mainly working in Germany and the EU, fighting Lobbyism in the negative form, for more democracy and transparency and against things like CETA/TTIP which are a great example how negative lobbyism works.

They were open to it and after some time explaining how it could work i could convince them to use bitpay.com to accept donations. They can collect address data in case the donor wants a donation receipt that way. Though anonymous donations are possible too through that way. And Bitpay allows automatic transfers to a bank account. In fact you don't even have to bother much with bitcoins which is a big plus for interested parties. Though everything runs under the name of Bitcoin at the frontend.

The site address isn't yet implemented into the main websites menu but the page exists already at https://www.lobbycontrol.de/unterstutzen/bitcoin-spenden/ and will be bound into the menu in the next time.

It would be cool if you could donate something to them too so they see that Bitcoin is worth the effort. I guess spreading the word can only help bitcoin.

In case anyone feels the need to donate for some other society that don't accept Bitcoins yet... simply try and ask them. Maybe a nice donation proposal can convince them even more to invest the work... Wink

Thanks for listening!
Sebastian

Good job! I am looking forward to giving generously to some charities next time I get some bitcoins.... Maybe I can do some convincing to the charities im looking at Smiley

I hope so. Bitpay.com does a good job here to make the process really easy.

Wink

Danke fürs lesen!

4827  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: April 17, 2014, 11:44:58 AM
I want my shares trading as much as the next guy, but a lot of you do not understand the legal ramifications of this shit. If the MSD is still actively investigating ActiveMining, Ken is protecting himself, the company, and us from a lot of trouble by leaving it as-is and letting the lawyers figure it out. This is a brand new industry in a legal gray area, you can't treat it like a blue chip investment, and that's precisely the argument his lawyers are likely making right now.

You all need to wake up to reality and be patient. It's very clearly not a scam. Inconvenient and beyond schedule to the point of almost incompetence, sure, but just chill the fuck out. It will happen when it happens.

This argument would have more weight if shares weren't already trading right now. The problem is that some shareholders can trade while others are prevented.

Good point i didn't think about before. If its legally risky to trade shares then ken would have to stop trading shares completely. It wouldn't make a difference at all if he allows all shares to trade now. In this light it looks like he wants to save work or something. Maybe he fears a price crash though now would be the ideal time to allow trading since the mood is generally positive and the price tags are rising on trading shares. So the fear of a price crash isn't a valid reason too.

Ken, please finally honor your months old promises. It makes no sense to claim we cant trade when we already trade.
4828  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: [ANNOUNCE] Electrum - Lightweight Bitcoin Client on: April 16, 2014, 09:34:16 PM
I like and use Electrum often but now i nearly made a big error that partly is because of Electrum's behaviour to redraw the lists and put you on the first line again. (Breaking label writing and so on in the same step.)

I wanted to send 4 bitcoins to my smartphone. I had a contact with a label in my electrum. I searched the contact, only one label to see on the screen, and must have looked away shortly, i clicked the only address that had a label on the screen and sent since i believed when i used "send to" it has to be the correct address.

Unfortunately it didnt reach the target. I checked the transaction and did not find out what address i sent to. I thought maybe i had a virus that changed an address in clipboard but when i checked blockchain i sent a transaction to it a year ago. Luckily it was the address of a friend that had a label "Friend Test". So i could get the 4BTC back now.

I know its my fault too to not check more carefully though i didnt thought in that moment about the possibility that electrum could change the screen i see. So i used the address that was the only one with a label like the page was where i searched the address before.

I really would like to see Electrum mature here and have a more user friendly updating procedure. Its the first time it could have done harm now but it was work before too often enough. Writing labels... update... searching the address again, writing label again. Or when checking transactions to find anything. I have thousands of transactions and its extremely annoying to go through the list and... youre at the start again. Now try to find where you were and hope that it not updates before you can search a bit more.

I understand; I will try to fix this soon.

Thanks a lot!

I Havelock makes the verification then take the offer. Only make sure that you know who owns shares in case havelock gets killed.
4831  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: April 13, 2014, 03:41:06 PM
Shocked

So AM is selling containers!

No. Its not. But ASICminer paid for R&D of these "proof of concept" 2-phase immersion cooling datacenters, but Friedcat suddenly decided to abandon this manufacturing and mining path and only sell chips.  Undecided

The decision of friedcat to not make enduser sales anymore but switch to b2b only doesnt mean that friedcat wont host his own miner farm. If you want to claim that you would need to say where you got your info from.

In fact its a good decision. Selling to resellers means more profit with less work and you havent to deal with refunds, support an all that kind of really time intensive work.

4833  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: The 94% Con by Jon Montroll on: April 13, 2014, 03:28:17 PM
I Still have some btc's stuck in WeExchange. If anyone can help me got my BTC back or send him to bankruptcy, I will give him half of my BTC as a return.

If you send him to bankruptcy you wont get back anything since he owes money in the thousands of bitcoins. And he dont have anything nearly enough privately to back this up.

No one will give you bitcoins for paypal money. Its simply too risky having lost the coins and the paypal money at the end.

Is there a way to download the history as csv-file? I only see the list on bitfunder but no way to download it. I dont want to make this manually.
4836  Economy / Securities / Re: NEO and BEE talk (unmoderated) on: April 10, 2014, 05:39:26 PM
Well he sent me a payment from that address all I have is an email from him with the blockchain link.  Not sure why I would make this up?

Edit: all i could really prove is a screenshot of the email?

He could have send it from any website with a shared wallet. So theres a chance that its not danny's address. Only an address he got his coins paid out to you.
4837  Economy / Securities / Re: [CANNABIT] Investment Details - Announcement & Discussion Thread #cannabit on: April 04, 2014, 02:42:11 PM
Cannabit... what limits the size of the gardens? Today i saw a grower in colorado? who targets to be the first billionaire in the US from growing. He had a really large tent with probably thousands of plants.

Since the work most probably isnt linear growing with bigger tents... why can he have such big tents and cannabit cant?

By the way... they claimed that his weed is taken from his hands fast. So it doesnt look like the market is saturated soon.

Its because they are in washington, and the max is 3 Dr's recs and 15 plants per rec. So they can legally only do 45 plants

You got it. Each garden can legally have up to 45 plants. That is why we operate multiple gardens to stay within the legal limits.

Then you should expand in countries with more freedom soon. Smiley Cost and work for 10 small gardens for sure is higher than the cost for 1 big garden that contains 10 times as much plants.

Danny, please release the usernames/contact details of the people who threatened your daughter, its only fair that the witch-hunt is now directed at them.

Danny wrote that he had to stop communicating with the staff because he didnt know if they were connected to the scams. So no names available i guess.

What i dont understand is... how is it possible to trash all the IPO-Money? I dont see what big investments had to be done.

lack of liquidity does not = spent funds...

e.g. if the bitcoins are being held as part of their pegged deposit scheme, but they need additional funds for expenses outside of those bitcoins allocated for that scheme, (now I'm no economist/business student so correct me if *THIS definition* is wrong), would that not equate to a lack of liquidity?

I believe they simply dont have the money since danny often wrote that he could pay the debts if coins werent lost there and there and he could pay it with his own money if he didnt lost personally so much too.

So it sounds to me like they simply dont have the money. If it would be bound somehow he would have stated it the same way he explained that he lost money with weex and mtgox.

Though i have no proof. It only sounds that way to me... Smiley
