4821  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin Really Hit $1 Million? Demirors Warns Halving May Have Zero Impact on: December 26, 2019, 04:33:12 PM
Bitcoin halving may have zero impact is possible if we judge how the market is moving these days. I have had a wild guess that the price stabilizing at around $7,000 was caused by the investors who's trying to accumulate more Bitcoin, and that's the reason why Bitcoin is holding on to that range, without them the price should've gone below $5,000 level?
Another thing is, I've look through the past 2 halvings. It seems that the price is gradually increasing from a 6 months period before the halving, but this time is different because Bitcoin is struggling to escape the 4 digit price.

Ps. Indeed she is gorgeous, I was staring at her photo for about a minute before posting lol Cheesy

I can still remember the last halving when it was starting to read and learn through this forum and starting to trade little by little. I know just three to four people who know or have heard of bitcoin. It's a whole lot different then and i think that means we shouldn't be expecting the same effect that next year's halving will have on btc.
I am already certain that the next halving will have a year gap before the bullish market starts to set in and start to increase prices gradually. If the sentiments continue to be like bullish then it's more likely the market will go bearish i don't know why it's like that but it's like ignoring to what's the people are expecting.
4822  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Can I pay in Bitcoin here?" - go and ask this each time you pay something! on: December 26, 2019, 03:55:04 PM
These are good suggestions because even though we know they do not accept bitcoin and they are not aware of it they can adopt it because of Bitcoin demand.

So it's good that we do this to increase awareness of bitcoin and if we are store owners we should start accepting it in our businesses.
Increasing awareness by setting examples by accepting bitcoin or crypto into our own business will impress and make a good impacts to more people
around us, nor those people who are not really close to us. It's adding more people to be aware and get into this market. Bitcoin have good communities and by adding more will make it more stronger.
Awareness is the key to spread the adoption of bitcoin that's why what OP did is too useful specially if everytime you have to pay for something in a convenient store or restaurants. A simple way to make them more aware of this new technology evolving and adapting everywhere.
4823  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What kind of crypto trading do you recommend with $50 investment? on: December 26, 2019, 03:15:08 PM
I would just buy Bitcoin and save them, and buy $50 worth of Bitcoin every month until Q4 2021 and see how many profit I have made. That would be the easiest way to earn profit, and making money doesn't always mean you need to trade everyweek, everyday or everyhour.
Yeah, i would do that too but the fact that the money the OP has with him is just too small.  As a capital for investment it is not enough to make a good profit because it might be eaten already by the transaction fees if he's going to trade. Even if he buys bitcoin that would not be enough to make some profit if he do able to hodl for a year.
In the OP he mentioned that he will like to go for BTC but in that case I agree with you that he will not be able to manage the transaction fees etc. But if he will choose to trade in altcoin then he do not have smaller amount as at my first trade I took start with $5 or $10 or something around that amount to test that how it work and I started to earn effectively with that amount. He can start his testing phase with that amount easily.
It's still a waste of time to invest with such amount if OP is serious about of making some profit he must have to increase his money for investment. $5 to $10 is just a dust money and just like you said it was for experiment only on how effective to invest in altcoins with that amount but i don't think it will work to these days anymore.
4824  Economy / Speculation / Re: Two Years Ago, Bitcoin Was Over $19,000 — What Happened? on: December 25, 2019, 05:56:19 PM
I still believe bitcoin can run again like in 2017. and now more and more companies and countries are accepting bitcoin so in my opinion bitcoin continues to grow and towards mass adoption. right now the price of bitcoin is declining but I don't think this is the end of bitcoin. the rise and fall of bitcoin prices is common. so I am not worried and with all the characteristics and advantages of bitcoin I am sure in the future the price of bitcoin will be more expensive.

of course many people predict that in the future bitcoin prices will be more expensive, no matter there is always a decline in current market prices because in reality market price movements will not always decrease. maybe 2017 can happen again in 2020
2017 will be hard to forget, all coins have increased 10x and it is incredible, it is reasonable at the moment the price has experienced a decline, 2020 might look quite interesting
I wouldn't let my hopes get high though because that bull run in 2017 wouldn't happen in 2020. The bitcoin halving effect that you guys are looking for is not in 2020 it is going to happen in 2021. So i wouldn't expect too much from the market in 2020, but maybe we might see some price increase but not really that high enough to exceed the ATH of BTC.
4825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When next bull run happen?? on: December 25, 2019, 05:29:51 PM
I completely agree. In 2020, you should not expect a price explosion. 2020 will be a year when you just have to sit and wait. I hope we can handle it)
sit and wait? can you do it I hope there will be a pump to help each of my investment assets have a better value? but I won't just wait. I would rather spend my time with altcoin and daily trading because it is more exciting than having to wait for a pump for a long time.
If you are good at reading charts and making TA for the market then go explore the market and make as much profit you want. But if you have no idea or lack of experience in trading then it would be better to hodl your crypto currency and wait for the right time to sell.
4826  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much bitcoin to buy? on: December 25, 2019, 05:01:03 PM
I recently purchased bitcoin, it was the most I have ever put into a cryptocurrency.
This is going to be a long term buy, This was taken out of stock money,
Now that I have done this I feel more excited about
where bitcoin is headed than  I do about stocks. Now I feel like I should take more out of
Stocks, Feel there’s going to be more return this way. Thoughts on this am I getting carried away

Well, I think there's nothing wrong with that as a matter of fact it is the right thing to do, however, much better if you will use the amount of money you can afford to lose remember, the market is full of surprises. Anyway, buying Bitcoin now and hold it for a long time could be the best option you choose due to the fact that Bitcoin will rise again and will become greater as it before way back in 2017.
That is exactly what he needs to do, he should think of how much money he can afford to risk in this investment. OP should set aside getting excited since he might make a rush decision and invest right away.
It is a good decision, even there is no guarantee of profit, his chance to make a profit is high and his possible profit is much higher than stocks.
I think the OP's decision is good because he realizes that investing in cryptocurrency or bitcoin always provides a good and profitable return, and it seems like he has learned it and chose to invest in the long term to avoid worries because bitcoin is very volatile.
and the most important thing is that you must have strong patience before achieving what you want even though it takes a long time to produce maximum results.
One thing that i notice on OP is that he's like expecting too much and is too excited about of where his investment would be going. This could lead to an over excitement that may lead to a stressful time to keep looking at the price of the market. I hope OP doesn't expect too much in this market because the bull market is not happening yet.

4828  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin prices dropped so low a few days ago؟ on: December 25, 2019, 03:50:38 PM
There are many reasons why Bitcoin prices fall, we don't know exactly why, maybe they sell Bitcoin to celebrate Christmas, or sellers are too much and buyers are less likely to cause price drops, or information. bad makes prices push down and there may be other problems.

Others would argue that the christmas time is well priced in in the markets. At least that is the same argument for the halving. You notice something ? Wink
Indeed! Price of bitcoin dropped because some are dumping their bitcoin and other crypto for the upcoming holiday season. It is the Christmas season as one of the reason why most people are cashing out. If you want to have some money or extra bucks if your salary is not enough then selling some of your bitcoin is the easiest choice you can make
4829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH - Going to 70$? on: December 23, 2019, 05:48:02 PM
Unreal? Yet could possibly be. But I don't think it would steep such down low. Or if may come at two digit may be it would be just around 80 - 90? I supposed. 70 $ is super low man, I don't know what would be the price of Bitcoin when ethereum hits 70$. It would bring definitely a big problem to crypto enthusiast. Well, anyway let us just hope that it won't.
Everything in crypto is possible and we can't deny this fact that eventually there's a chance that the price of ethereum would have dropped to that price. But the possibility that it would happen is very small unless there is a super bearish trend that lasted for a year i guess. Ethereum will stay at the 3 digit price next year if there's no bearish and any negative trends that would certainly bring down the crypto market.
4830  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Price Trend Reversal in Progress? on: December 23, 2019, 05:14:20 PM
The price of bitcoin is still unstable. Probably going up with the expectation of New Year. The price of bitcoin can see a new peak in 2020. However, it is necessary to be cautious. Solid projects like Ethereum are still at very bad prices.
I can tell it is a little unstable because the price keep changing giving us a hard time to cope up which way it should go. Maybe what just happened last week was a slight dump then bouncing back to its natural state again. We might still need more time to consider which way bitcoin should go.
4831  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC which price it's heading next? on: December 23, 2019, 04:45:30 PM
I think bitcoin will increase to $ 8k2 in this price increase.
Previously someone told me that bitcoin usually increases at Christmas but I don't believe him. If I trust him and buy when bitcoin is low, maybe I will make a big profit.
With all of that speculation you won't get the closest price range that you are expecting. Bitcoin is extremely unexpected when predicting where it would jump for its next price. Luckily the price this week is enough to hold the support level without dropping to the $6k level.
4832  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your preparation for 2020? on: December 23, 2019, 04:07:44 PM
There is a lot of prediction that will come on the year 2020 so we just need to be prepared on what will happen, And best yet so far is to accumulate as much as we can but not investing all in. We need only to invest what we can afford to lose or spend and invest only 25% of your investment income so you will not lose big only a spare of it.

And i guess that cryptocurrency will soon rise by next year and a lot of incoming events in cryptocurrency.
Investing in bitcoin is a win-win if you only knew how to trade correctly because if not, then you are certainly wasting your investment for nothing. Trading requires patience that most traders are lack of. Accumulating bitcoin and other cryptocurrency for this coming 2020 is the best plan while holding and waiting for the right time to sell.
4833  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are there any trading chat rooms? on: December 23, 2019, 03:16:34 PM
It is not easy to find one.
Most of them are recruiting for their own profit. You would not like that.

Why not just stay here? Create your own discussions and then maybe you could find more comfort with the traders that are always reading articles and comments.
I have been looking to telegram for the past few years of something just like what you are looking for. But you will just get disappointed later on.
Traders here are more fun rather than the fake ones out there.

Actually my friend, there's a lot of trading chat rooms out there, but when you will say and look for the legitimacy then you will be struggle to find one as you cannot find good one, whether paid of not unless some of your trusted friend recommends you to a certain chat room, but still don't rely on it as they are just there to 'hype and to fud' too.
If you have friends then why not make your own trading chatroom? This is the easiest way than searching for a legitimate group which happens most of them aren't into give and take information but rather taking only for their own interests.
4834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price in 2020. on: December 22, 2019, 05:45:47 PM
Currently, ETH price is at 127$. ETH has not done that well this year. And the altcoin market is very much dependent on the ETH price. So what value are you expecting during the upcoming year? Is there any possibility of recovery or it will keep continuing to go down?

I am hoping that the price of ETH will recover when the price of bitcoin recovers late in 2020. I do not know if switching to pos will help but I hope it does. The price has plummeted so deep now and if the upgrade does nothing then I have no hope for ETH.
ETH price in 2020 will still remain as what is its price this year, a normal pump and dump. Not unless bitcoin market would start to break the $15,000 next year we might see a new price of ETH that we hasn't seen this year. What we could only do today is to speculate but if you have a strategy on how to make your own TA, you are in an advantage.
4835  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Increase Bitcoin adoption on: December 22, 2019, 05:15:22 PM
This is really awesome, and I love the idea of wearing shirts with Bitcoin name and logo very much because it will really create an appeal to public eye and normalize the terms and image. Also accepting orders for crypto would be cool.
I think it only applies to people who have known bitcoin and not with the people who don't have any idea. It's like you are showing your new invention yet no one is excited to know what is it unless you show how it's done. And bitcoin should be done in computer or teach it in school if you want to have more attention to increase the bitcoin adoption.
4836  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin a Good Investment? Does Hodl Work? on: December 22, 2019, 04:37:40 PM
If you’re looking for short term profits then bitcoin might not be a great investment. It’s a very volatile asset & you could lose a lot of money.

Nobody ever HODLED long term & lost money though. I’ve made (unrealised/unsold) profits that I never even thought would be close to reality by HODLING. Bitcoin has & will make my life by HODLING so yes HODLING is a fantastic thing to do.

If you can afford to buy bitcoin & do nothing with it, simply sit on it for anything over 5 years then you will make ridiculously good profit that’s incomparable with any traditional fiat based stock/asset.

Just look at a chart detailing bitcoin’s price movements from the first block mined to the current day. The overall price trend is upwards & will continue to be.

HODL works if you have bought bitcoin at right price. There is no point in HODL if you have bought bitcoin at 19000$ or 12000$. Last year in December price of bitcoin was around 3500$, those who bought at that price and HODL were blessed with a chance to sell at 11000$.
Yes and you have a point. Why would someone has to buy at the peak though? It's because they don't follow the market and just getting in because they think it's a trend where in fact it's a bull trap soon. Sad to say they were the victim of buy high sell low because they don't understand what they are investing.
4837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH - Going to 70$? on: December 21, 2019, 05:42:39 PM
Nothing is impossible in the crypto market specially these days when there is no huge movement of the market. The tendency that ETH would drop to that price is very close. But if we look at the price today it seems that it would still hold to its current price for a month if there's no massive movement in the market.
4838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Promoting cryptocurrency through altcoin on: December 21, 2019, 05:15:06 PM
I remember IQeon back in the days where it was specializing games. I joined their bounty program long time ago but I didn't stay due to fear of scams those days.
Bitcoin is a dominant crypto, that becomes a good and bad thing for investors. They're not looking for other coins to invest anymore because they feel safe in investing in a single coin and I think that mindset isn't uncommon but sometimes it is just getting harder to invest in worthy coins.
That's why diversification is recommended if you want to invest in any cryptocurrency but before that, one must understand what he is dealing with because investment in cryptocurrency is too much risk. Bitcoin is the common cryptocurrency that people know because this is the only one that survive in all of the scam projects before. A true father of all the cryptocurrency.
4839  Economy / Speculation / Re: What’s your expectation on 2020 Halving year?! on: December 21, 2019, 04:48:51 PM
I don't expect much this coming 2020 even if there's a halving because i know halving won't have a major effect in the market this year. I am expecting more in 2021 instead about of the halving if how much would be the cost of bitcoin during that time when a bull market starts to set.
4840  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buying bitcoin and several altcoins on: December 21, 2019, 04:15:46 PM
Why buy from users that's probably risky when you can buy it in crypto currency exchanges then trade it, for it to grow faster ?
Right now is a good chance to accumulate bitcoin when its cheap and will probably takes time to become bullish until bitcoin breaks above resistance of $7500 and retest the major resistance of $7900 once that happens that might trigger
Since the OP is not responding to our suggestions and comments i think he's just into something which is a very suspicious act. Buying bitcoin from other people is not a recommendable move specially if you aren't too reputable enough that someone has a complete trust to trade with you.

It's better to go directly to the exchange and buy any crypto currency you like to invest.
