4821  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many hours a day are you spending on online gambling? on: October 28, 2018, 10:16:28 PM
I have never spent too much time gambling, because if I spend too much time I will definitely be addicted and lose a lot of my money. I don't know how long I gambled, but not more than 1 hour. Usually I do sports gambling and by playing some games at the casino. I do this in my free time like when I have a day off or work breaks.

Are you that afraid of losing control? If you can't stop playing make sure you have limited funds. This was proven to be the easiest way to stop a gambler from spending too much time and money and becoming addicted. Set up limits for yourself and send only small amounts to the casino. Play with small bets and you will have fun and don't have a need to keep playing and earn back what you lost.
4822  Economy / Speculation / Re: An interesting read on BTC price on: October 28, 2018, 10:10:06 PM
At some point there will be a one last cycle because the value can't reach 1 million per coin. What if this cycle was the last one and 20000 USD will be remembered as the ATH of Bitcoin? The majority is usually wrong.

The value could easily reach $1 million considering how little supply there is available on exchanges. The more people hodl their coins for the long term, the less availability of supply there is. I'm not saying it will for sure reach that price, but it could.

Currently we're dealing with so many entities trying to get themselves up and running here, that we'll face a point at which the leading exchanges won't have hundreds of thousands of coins in their cold wallets anymore, but closer to a tenth of that figure. If you also take into consideration that these Bitcoins aren't just meant to be traded on the USD market but also on the altcoin market, you'll realize how little the supply actually is.

Imagine a time where governments and pension funds will finally get their feet wet, they'll usurp so much of the supply that the price could easily swing to $1 million per coin.

Why would they need to acquire more coins and make it go to 1 million if they can buy more satoshis at 10 thousand per Bitcoin? Look at it my way. You have Bitcoins at current price and want to introduce a million new investors to the market. Each of them will need to have some coins to be able to buy things. They could buy a million coins each driving the price much higher or they could buy 10% of the coins and use satoshis to trade. 1 Bitcoin at 1 million USD will be able to serve as a means of exchange to thousands of people. How many times in your life were you able to spend more than 10000 USD at once? Most people don't need to hold that much money and most people don't have large savings they only need to exchange coins every day but they don't hold them.
4823  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin prices are currently fluctuating very low! This is a strange thing. on: October 28, 2018, 08:10:57 PM
I think the market is stable as no good or bad news are not coming. once any good news come from some big companies, then the price will pump and vice versa.

It's not that. We had good news earlier this year and price was going down. I think that we have the length of this bear market to blame. If you check July 2016 we had almost the same situation. There was no volatility and no volume and the market slowly regained it 2 months later. News can help but the price will become volatile even without them. Bitcoin needs time to finish the correction and start another cycle.
4824  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbook/Casino Owner "5Dimes Tony" found dead after ransom was paid in BTC on: October 28, 2018, 07:51:07 PM
I can just hope that the Costa Rica's police will do the job, and that the kidnappers will be found. But really awful news... A few things confuses me, if family agreed to pay, why was he killed? Did the kidnappers receive the money? I guess they had no intention of letting him go....  perhaps it would be possible to track down the transaction, if there was any transaction done at all.

Lol.  Nope.  If the police were doing their jobs, this wouldn't happen.  And hell yeah the kidnappers got the money.  Why do you think they killed him in the first place?

A good piece of advice for every family of a kidnapped person is to do exactly the opposite of what the kidnappers want you to do. They want you to pay and you shouldn't because they will usually want more. They want you not to contact the police and that's why you should do it. If you quietly pay nobody can guarantee that they will release the hostage that could see their faces and hear them talk.
4825  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 28, 2018, 07:00:20 PM
Last time we had such a low volume was in the middle of 2016.
Bitcoin predictions based on TA and my high intelligence:

We will break from it with volume.
We will go up, or we will go down. I'd give it 70% that we'll go up.
It will happen before the end of the year.

Don't say I didn't warn you! Wink

4826  Economy / Speculation / Re: To the SEC bitcoin ETFs can be a bad idea.. on: October 28, 2018, 06:42:16 PM
Bitcoin ETFs can be a bad idea because of the bitcoin whales ..I will prove my case..

If i own a million btc plus millions in cash  what i do is buy loads of bitcoin raising the price  meaning i sell my bitcoin SOME of them not all to make a profit from the bitcoin then
sell my bitcoin  and bet on a low turn on another ETF site    see how easy they can fix the markets with loads of bitcoin and cash..

I can do it the other way around if i so wish  example..

I sell loads of bitcoin and bet on another market for bitcoin to go down    i make the profits from the sale of my bitcoin plus the monies off betting it went down  then i buy back all the bitcoin and bet it to go up and win again and again and again..

What is stopping people from doing the same thing with stocks? Stocks are allowed by the SEC and you have different options like gold. What is stopping someone who has a lot of gold from selling it on the market and betting on the lower price?
Do you want us to believe that whales exist only in the crypto space and that cryptocurrencies are the only asset easy to manipulate? Everything is if you have enough money!
4827  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is "speculation leaving the market"? What does low BTC volatility really mean? on: October 28, 2018, 06:18:58 PM
I don't think that speculators are leaving. They're out there waiting for the right opportunity.
It seems that people are tired with this bear market and unwilling to follow pumps because all previous ones ended in the price coming back to the same level of 6000. If you see that the market is going towards the same range you give up, capitulate, wait for it to play out. Confidence will return in time.
4828  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Altcoins will be a big competitor to Bitcoin? on: October 28, 2018, 06:02:14 PM

If BTC is going to have a price of more than $50k, less and less people will try to sell it which will make way for the altcoins to be spent more by users.  It could be ETH or EOS that may be use to pay products when adoption came. XRP is aggressive in proving to be on the way to adoption, if what they claim will come then it may be the first to be used casually.

It's not a bad thing. People don't have to be selling it, they have to be able to exchange their coins for goods and services. Exchanges and volatility are a thing because it's still difficult to spend your coins without having to go through fiat money first.
People don't want to hold their coins forever. The ultimate goal of every currency is to buy things.
4829  Economy / Economics / Re: 2018 the year of correction? on: October 28, 2018, 05:15:17 PM
As we witnessed a bearish year which lasted longer than the prediction and some people was it was the bad year for crypto but i feel it was a the year of correction as the value of crypto were overachieved at the end of 2017. Hence we are having a correction period to what the real value should had been? Kindly share your opinion.

Almost everybody is predicting that this year will be starting a bull run again, and that is why big manipulators doesn't want you people to be with that so they will try to make you wait until everybody losses hope and get out of the market.

Don't ever look at what other people are saying. When most people were saying that Bitcoin won't go below 10000 USD it went. When they were saying that the bottom at 6000 was reached we went lower to 5800. When they were saying in August that Bitcoin is rallying again and the bear market is over it went down a day later.
A year of correction is not something new or uncommon. 2 years of correction like 2014 and 15 would ba a bad thing.
4830  Economy / Economics / Re: Stocks Just Suffered Their Worst Loss in Months on: October 28, 2018, 05:01:48 PM
It is clear that the global market movement is so big that the crypto one is ridiculous.
However, even if the bitcoin has been dragged down, it may be that this shock is positive and leads investors to head for the crypto. Let's see.

I think that some of them will move to crypto. They can be moving as we speak because Bitcoin is no longer falling down and we are in a bear market. We should be going down but there's no volatility so somebody has to be buying the coins that miners are selling. I think that Wall Street is preparing for ETFs and Bakkt and slowly buying coins. There will be big volatility when market finally wakes up.
4831  Economy / Speculation / Re: An interesting read on BTC price on: October 28, 2018, 04:34:54 PM
this means that bitcoin will go to the moon, I'm sure this will happen. the 2014 chart is very identical to this year.
I also read some good predictions here
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5043315.0

Is that what you got from the article?

They showed different approaches and opinions but it's only opinions of traders and analysts. It doesn't mean that these cycles will go on forever. At some point there will be a one last cycle because the value can't reach 1 million per coin. What if this cycle was the last one and 20000 USD will be remembered as the ATH of Bitcoin? The majority is usually wrong.
4832  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it better to exchange your altcoins for dollars or btc? on: October 28, 2018, 04:20:30 PM
If you want to stay in the game and keep investing it's better to sell for Bitcoin. If you want to play it safe buy gold.
IMO money needs to be working for you and fiat money only loses value. If you don't want to keep losing buy something that has a stable value or something that is unstable but with high probability of going up. Gold, silver, bitcoin, art, even old cars are all a better store of value than dollars.
4833  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How is a day of a crypto trader? on: October 28, 2018, 04:10:52 PM
I think that daytrading is very stressful.I don't know how the professional traders deal with stress, anxiety.bitcoin within a short period of time with less gain.

The answer is easy. They usually get burned out pretty fast or need to take breaks from trading. Not many people can do it professionally in the way that it's their only source of income and if they are doing it, it's when they have a lot of money lying on the side. Most traders that I know do it on the side and have other jobs like running courses and speaking at conferences or having a youtube channel.
4834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sia Coin Potential on: October 28, 2018, 04:02:07 PM
DropBox, Google Drive, etc have many advantages, including moving earlier, being embedded by multinationals, and on and on.

In future the amount of data that needs to be stored will only get exponentially higher. There's a huge market for all storage companies and that includes SIA. It also has a very interesting way of rewarding people for shared storage. I'd not be that worried about google drive and others because they aren't in the crypto space but what about similar storage coins like burst? How are they going to compete with them?
4835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbies must be careful on: October 27, 2018, 10:08:52 PM
I'd say it different. Newbies should stop being greedy. Careful is one thing, but greed and impatience are the most dominant feelings among new investors. They want huge gains here and now and when instead of gains they get losses they react with hysteria. Be smart, be calm, have reasonable expectations. This is my advice to you newbies.
And one more thing, don't think of spending the profits you haven't earned yet.
4836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: give an explanation about fake ico, and how to find out on: October 27, 2018, 10:01:29 PM
You have to watch the project and check for inconsistencies. Things that make the red light light up.
Something strange about the project, fake hype, shilling, unknown team, team caught lying. There's a lot of it. If you're to spend money you better know it all before you do.
If you're not sure don't risk it. It's always better to be cautious and not lose any money.
4837  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cyber attacks are good for Bitcoin on: October 27, 2018, 08:34:03 PM
Bitcoin isn't immune to cyber attacks either, mt gox is a prime example along with the many other exchanges that have been hacked. It's only good for those that know how to secure it in cold storage wallets

Gox could have recovered but it suffered from a mix of cyber attacks and mismanagement.

Attacks are always good because they're not allowing you to take your guard down and they're constantly testing your security. White hat hacking is a prime example of such testing. A business can survive hacks as long as they don't do too much damage.
4838  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you send bitcoins to Satoshi, if you know his Bitcoin address? on: October 27, 2018, 06:07:54 PM
I wouldn't try to annoy him by sending him mail. If he happened to be a very friendly person who wants to be a part of the community, like some celebrities are, I would probably send him a letter because I'd like him to know that he changed the lives of so many people, me included. If the address was uncovered through hacking r some other detective work I'd ask people not to take any action and let him be.
4839  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading stressful for you? on: October 26, 2018, 08:49:54 PM
To reduce stress in exchange, I recommend giving specific plans. You should make a plan that includes the purchase price and the price to sell or the lowest price to reduce the loss. When there are specific plans, I believe the stress will be reduced.

What if the plan doesn't work and you find yourself losing money? You'll get stressed anyway.
For me trading is much too stressful and I'm staying away from it. I'd much rather gamble and know my outcome straight away than trade and not know what the next day will bring.
4840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the world becoming tokenized? on: October 26, 2018, 08:41:18 PM
I do not think that social networks really need tokenization. This is nonsense, which is needed to obtain additional co-financing funds and nothing more.

Social networks may not but many other things do. Casinos were tokenized long before cryptocurrencies became popular and made it much easier. In Las Vegas you can take a chip from one casino and use it to play in another and you can use chips to buy food, drinks, pay for hotel rooms. It would be much easier with crypto tokens.
