4841  Other / Beginners & Help / List of useful Bitcoin block explorers on: November 01, 2019, 08:12:28 PM
Disclaimer: this topic was created by 1miau. However, at our joint request, on Dec 18th, 2023 theymos changed the ownership of the topic to me. This information was also confirmed by 1miau here

I've collected some of the most famous Bitcoin block explorers including a column for supported features like displaying native SegWit bech32-addresses or giving the possibility to identify an outgoing transaction from nested SegWit P2SH addresses. Finally, I've rated them from my side how useful each block explorer is. The better the rating, the more detailed the explorer is.

4) I have reported 379 posts with 98% accuracy (361 good, 11 bad, 7 unhandled).
Just curious, if I may: how did you calculate your post accuracy? Is there an algorithm for that? Or how were calculated the good and the bad posts?
Besides, what are the unhandled posts?

Hello,
Please find 3 proposals from me:
- my participation to the 10th Anniversary art contest: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5193860.msg52872004#msg52872004
- my participation to the Bitcoin commemorative Coldkey contest: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5195845.msg52903707#msg52903707
- the book "The Satoshi Revolution", by Wendy McElroy, fully translated in Romanian, with the writer's consent (and also encouragement to do so): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5193944.msg52796644#msg52796644. It was more than 1 year work, but it was worth it!
Thank you.
4846  Other / Meta / Re: [CONTEST] Design the 10 years of Bitcointalk commemorative Coldkey ($500+ prize) on: October 28, 2019, 09:46:02 AM
I can't believe I'm the first one posting here Smiley
Please find attached my proposals.
This is how I see the future cards. Very colorful... in the front I thought that something with great impact such as family and life itself would join very well with Bitcoin, since I truly believe in its power and value.
On the back, I thought about two big events from Bitcoin history. So people can never forget them!

Edit: I came back with a second proposal! I hope this one is more suitable Smiley

Bafta!
Daca ceea ce /2019/10/23/tech/google-quantum-supremacy-scn/index.html]google a declarat este intr-adevar corect, nu mai avem mult pana cand cineva ar putea "sparge" o parola. Totodata ce ne povesteste bekli23 mai sus le-as cataloga drept basme.

P.S: bekli23 poate are un quantum computer acasa si defapt el detine suprematia Grin, who knows....
Haha! Fix asta voiam si eu sa scriu mai devreme. Poate a colaborat la cercetarile despre computerele cuantice si avea si el acasa un custom build Smiley
4851  Local / Market / Re: Decriptare parole bitcoin-qt client(Proiect) on: October 25, 2019, 04:03:25 PM

4853  Other / Meta / Possible bug in the activity algorythm on: October 25, 2019, 11:37:20 AM
Hello,

I might have encountered a bug regarding the activity counter, as it follows:
- first of all, I'd like to mention that I read carefully this topic: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2766177.0. I understood that you can reach 1 activity point per day and maximum 14 during a 14 days activity period. I also understood the fact that it is technically possible to obtain more than 14 activity in two weeks, if you sign up between periods.
- I have an account since 2017, but since I created it and until April 2019 I had only 4 posts (and 4 activity points)
- recently (since October 18th), I posted everyday, even more posts per day, summing 22 posts (this one is the 27th). I noticed that I was given activity points for each post I made, even more than 1 activity point per day.

Practically, I obtained 22 activity points for 22 posts between October 18th and 25th.

According to theymos' statement (from this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=237597.0), "the maximum number of activity points you can get is 1 per day, but your activity score only updates every two weeks." However, I observed that I received so far an activity point for each post, although I posted more than once in a day. Besides, my activity updated within minutes, not at the end of the activity period. Are these two aspects bugs? Or is this the normal behavior and I didn't fully understand it?

I'm sorry if this is a repost; I searched before posting this thread to make sure if it was posted before, but I didn't find it, thus I decided to signal these issues.
In case they are not bugs, can someone explain, please, the actual behavior? Meaning why I received more than 1 activity points in a day and why the activity was updated in real time, instead of being updated at the end of the activity period?

I hope these questions will help also other forum members. Also, if this post does belong to another section, I kindly ask the moderator to move it where it belongs.
Thx!

Hello,

This is my submission for the 10th anniversary!
One simple image, but with deep meaning: the Blockchain, Bitcoin and the key for them is BitcoinTalk!

I’m kindly asking a fellow high ranked member to post the full image here, as my rank doesn’t allow me.

Thank you.

200$ coupons are not suitable for S17 ASICs, nor for S9j/S9k.
Mikeywith, a hero member here with high reputation and also with great knowledge in Bitmain coupons business clearly stated the same thing, here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5189673.0.

4860  Economy / Digital goods / Re: WTS Bitmain coupon on: October 18, 2019, 02:27:33 PM
I am not new member indeed. However, I am a low ranked member.
When I first tried to PM you I was unable to send the message and I thought maybe you blocked the PMs from new members.
Regarding the price, this is the market offer. Last time when Bitmin issued coupons (February 2019), they used to be bought with 0.5-1$. If you don't belive me, ask around people with experience in Bitmain coupons buying and selling. This is also why many decided to keep their coupons until they expired, insted of selling them for ridiculous (I fully agree) prices. The problem is not with their value - they are valuable indeed; the problem is with the mining process - fewer and fewer miners are willing to buy ASICs, therefore the coupons prices is very low.
Thus, the actual offer is much better than the prices from February.
