4841  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: should i continue trading ? on: February 07, 2019, 06:07:54 PM
continue your trade, the market is increasingly interesting to explore further, by continuing trade you can compensate for your losses by creating new transactions that will make you more

I don't think that this is a good idea.
If he were skilled enough to make a profit he would have done it after 2 years have already passed. Maybe the best option is to quit and find another job. Or you can try to find interesting projects and just HODL.
4842  Economy / Economics / Re: Blockchain study finds 0.00% success rate in 43 cases on: February 07, 2019, 04:37:03 PM
The article: https://www.theregister.co.uk/2018/11/30/blockchain_study_finds_0_per_cent_success_rate/

My thoughts:

People were telling "Blockchain, not Bitcoin" for so many years, but the reality is the exact opposite. Bitcoin's technology is showing so many progress, we have adopted SegWit, LN is on mainnet for a year, even though it's still in beta, developers are discussing potential features. Bitcoin keeps growing, both in price and in number of users.
Meanwhile, blockchain fails to show any noticeable results during the last 3-4 years, so many talking, so many millions invested in ICO's, so many money spent on test and research and barely anyone actually uses it.

Blockchain is what made Bitcoin. Without Blockchain we wouldn't have Bitcoin. Thus, when you say that there is a progress in Bitcoin this is because the blockchain got upgraded.

They have turned the word of Bitcoin to Blockchain because it hears better in Marketing terms. Bitcoin is regulated and it has been attacked from media many times. It is better to state Blockchain for this way.
4843  Economy / Economics / Re: Will BTC defeated in 2019? on: February 07, 2019, 04:20:38 PM
Bitcoin can't be defeated I guess because the value of it right now is still biggers than anycoin in the cryptocurrency markets and even though the value of bitcoin today is not regular and not maintain it is not even close that bitcoin will be eliminated nor defeated by any type of crypto in the market. 2019 will be a good year for bitcoin I wish.
In the coming years, bitcoin may not be beaten. But if we already judge by what is happening now, then more and more people prefer Ethereum. Therefore, on the air, all shans win.

How can you say that now people prefer Ethereum? Considering the market cap, Bitcoin is higher on the rank meaning that is more powerful. Also, these two that you compare have different uses. The one is used mostly as storing value and the other for building Dapps that are helped due to the smart contracts.
In the end, they are not the same in order to say that you are going to use the one over the other.
4844  Economy / Economics / Re: The Factors of Demand and supply on: February 07, 2019, 04:11:54 PM
The price of bitcoin is determine purely by demand and supply. The strategy use in bringing the price of bitcoin down is just to spread FUD that will cause investors to redraw their funds thereby causing low demand. Through this the price will go down.

But when you spread FUD you even destroy your future trading strategy as well. In short-term you may have profit but in long term, it will be disastrous. This happens because the real value of the market is not clearly depicted in the market cap. Of course the same happens when you spread fomo.
4845  Economy / Economics / Re: Current Market state on: February 07, 2019, 04:08:46 PM
Yesterday all crypto was almost red, this situation was getting worse because we were in Q1 for the new year. regarding your statement about the plan to use crypto as a financial transaction, I think indeed the state will only support one coin that they support, and may not have a big impact on the overall market situation. unless they support 100% bitcoin.

The most significant problem right now that the market keeps falling is that we don't have any positive news with regards to the regulation system that countries establish and set barriers to the market. If there were some countries that would relieve their policies then people will start buying easier and bring some capitals in the market.
4846  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: February 07, 2019, 03:54:10 PM
Real madrid definitely miss the big opportunity to stay ahead of Barcelona on first leg.Barcelona was struggling last night, Suarez and Coutinho showed poor performance.I can't believe Coutinho is worth of 160M.Anyway, Barcelona will get Dembele and Messi on 2nd leg.Though, RMA have the away goal advantage now but I think 2nd leg will be more tough for them.

Barcelona did great, especially in the second half. However, they were still missing the shots and the shots on target in order to score a goal.

I was very impressed with Vinicious performance. I think that this guy has great potential to be one of the top players worldwide in the future. And he is in a team that he can work hard for it.
4847  Economy / Economics / Re: What profit has brought you to bitcoin? on: February 07, 2019, 03:50:02 PM
I think we all have different stories about this. but, it all starts with the benefits stellar offers. yeah, airdrop is pretty good, so that made me pushed into the world of bitcoin. I think some people are from trading, or even bounty.

That is very true. Stellar airdrop was one of the most successful ones, bringing a lot of people to the blockchain world. It brought so much attention after people saw that there is a new economic system that they can earn some profit from it.
4848  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where are you playing Poker? on: February 06, 2019, 05:28:34 PM
The best place to play right now is PokerStars. There are many users that they play there and the pots are usually good enough. I am wondering why you can't play on it. Is there any specific reason?

I also play at Zynga on my spare time but without money. I am not sure if you can play there with real money, you can check it as I think it is a good place and you will enjoy the game.
4849  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: February 06, 2019, 03:55:55 PM
The lakers chemistry must be horrible right now, half the players know they can end up being traded and Lebron already wants Luke Walton gone.  This doesn't surprise me, Lebron always calls the shots no matter what team he goes to.

It even made it look so bad with The King sitting all alone during the embarrassment last night.
https://thebiglead.com/2019/02/06/lebron-james-bench-gate-by-himself-it-sure-looks-bad
https://youtu.be/YiTW9PVQvgg

This is so bad to see... I don't know what really happens in the dressing room but it is bad behavior from LeBron. I understand that he doesn't agree with Walton in some things but this shows disrespect and unprofessionalism. He is so influential and he can motivate his fellow players to improve their performance. And I am saying all these with huge respect to LeBron. I am a huge supporter of him. He should better move instead of acting like this.
4850  Economy / Speculation / Re: 3 Reasons Why Bitcoin Always Declines When Lunar New Year on: February 06, 2019, 03:51:17 PM
1. Ang Pao Na Lai Cryptoholder who joins the Chinese New Year sometimes has to take or cash their assets to prepare for the Lunar New Year, of course, for the Ang Pao hero. Among all the assets that have Bitcoin is the asset that was first thought of, given the rather high price.

2 Bitcoin Sale Off Because every year Bitcoin always decreases when Chinese New Year. So many of the cryptoholders sell their assets before the Chinese New Year. This causes a shock to the price of bitcoin.

3. Whale Dumping Bitcoin prices tend to go up a day before Chinese New Year and continue for the next few days. Analysts suspect Bitcoin Whale is anticipating this by doing a dump before Chinese New Year and pump afterwards.

Ι can't understand how these events are connected with Bitcoin and how you correlate the effect of them to Bitcoin prices.
I think there are just assumptions or something that you have created from your mind... Are there any sources that indicate this relation of them? I would like to read about it if you have anything to prove it.
4851  Economy / Economics / Re: Hamas Military Wing Crowdfunding Bitcoin on: February 06, 2019, 03:11:37 PM
This shows that Bitcoin is truly beneficial.

If organizations such as Hamas can be funded through Bitcoin then Bitcoin can really overcome some serious institutions on the process. Every new technological advance is used by illegal organizations in order to take advantage of it and reap the benefits before anyone else does.
4852  Economy / Economics / Re: The Factors of Demand and supply on: February 06, 2019, 02:46:23 PM
When I was in college we were taught that the price of any commodity is determined by the factors of demand and Supply to a large extent.
In your understanding, do you think that the price of bitcoin is determined by the factors of demand and supply?

Demand and supply is one variable that can make an impact on the price of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general. However, the blockchain ecosystem is a special one and it is differentiated from the ordinary commodities. There are some other variables that can move the price of Bitcoin up and down, such as the difficulty of mining, the volume of transactions etc.
4853  Economy / Economics / Re: Are your Bank transactions taxed VAT per transaction? on: February 06, 2019, 10:20:37 AM
The Banks in my country adds VAT to their Banking fees for every transaction you make. So I am not just paying the Banks to use my own money, I am paying the government too for the same transaction.

Yes, some Banks give you a small amount of transactions for free (Depending on the type of account), but once that limit is exceeded, you start to pay Banking fees for every transaction.

So Banks and Governments are making millions on fees that we have to pay, to use our own money!

Is this not one of the reasons why governments wants to stop Bitcoin and also the leverage Banks have over governments, if they lose the VAT on those transactions?

Please share your information on the way that governments and Banks are charging you to use your own money. How much is your VAT on those transactions and if you know that VAT is being paid as part of your fees?

This is something that I read for the first time.

In my country, the bank doesn't add VAT fee for every transaction. They just add the Bank fee which is their profit from using their services. Every fee that is included in the transaction goes to the bank and not in the state. I think it would be better to be a government profit and not a bank profit that boosts the vicious cycle of the economy even more.
4854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: February 06, 2019, 10:12:53 AM

Everyone has been waiting for this El Clasico match. But, it feels like this match will feel less interesting because we won't see any lasting competition between Messi and Ronaldo. Barcelona is more favored at this time but Real Madrid did not give up because they also wanted to prove that even without CR7 they remained a team feared by all clubs.

That is so true.

El Classico was all about the stars that were playing in the game and the competition between Messi and Ronaldo. Now that Ronaldo is not going to take part in the game there are not so many interests in watching the game. I think Barcelona is going to dominate the match with a score of 3 goals ahead. Real's defense is strong but they will not stand the pressure.
4855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: February 06, 2019, 10:09:54 AM
When Liverpool will play against West Ham i thought they will widen the distance of points between them and Man City because for first match Liverpool can able to win 4 - 0 but i was clearly wrong that West Ham was playing good and this weekend i saw Man city will facing a tight schedule after met Arsenal then Chelsea will be their upcoming opponent

Man City will meet Everton in February, 7th and Chelsea on 10th. What a tough schedule! But Liverpool themselves have not been able to show their good performance recently, especially after wasting a good opportunity to expand the points when they meet Leicester City and West Ham United. I think this year's title race will remain interesting until the end of the competition.

Everton is a good team, but they can't compete Manchester City at this level. I think that City may only find difficulties in the game with Chelsea because Chelsea has shown that they can win City even with a low score of 1-0. I would be surprised if Guardiola will lose the Premier League this year with these players. I also believe that Liverpool is not going to win all matches.
4856  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you have a reason to stay? on: February 05, 2019, 09:41:44 AM
Those who invested in bitcoin way back 2009 had not experienced any bull run before nor have much knowledge about the blockchain technology, yet they took the risk to invest. You and I have witnessed a bull run and heard about the numerous potentials of crypto so why do we still have to feel reluctant to invest in bitcoin. Let's be optimistic about our digital assets because its all we have.

Personally, I got involved after I heard about Bitcoin's bull run. I knew about it but I was afraid to get into because It was something unknown to me in terms of how it works.
After I heard about it, I managed to find a job in the cryptocurrency industry remotely. So this is the main reason to prompt me stay.
4857  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IS BITCOIN ATM PROFITABLE BUSINESS ? on: February 05, 2019, 09:38:11 AM
I don't think that it is very profitable right now but it has great potential to be in the future.

It depends on how many people in the city uses cryptocurrencies and what is the exact number of citizens that live there, their income etc. You may be in Top 5 countries in Africa that uses crypto but too little of people to use them in your area.

My local Bitcoin ATM company seems to be operating in other ways apart from the ATM such as trading and investing. Maybe they do that so as to keep a stable income.
4858  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-2-3]Coinmarketcap Under Attack for Failing to Delete Fake Crypto Exchanges on: February 05, 2019, 09:32:52 AM
Like every other business,Coinmarketcap needs more revenue.
They will accept any crypto exchange,if it's paying for the listing.Too bad that the quantity of shaddy exchanges is big, while the big and reputable crypto exchanges don't relly on Coinmarketcap for exposure.

They have clearly stated that they don't accept paying fees if someone wants to get listed on Coinmarketcap. I don't think they are lying because if they do, this is going to cause irreparable damage to them.

Here is the twitter from their official account that states that they don't accept listing fees: https://twitter.com/CoinMarketCap/status/1027335662608031746
4859  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-2-1]Iran to Use its Cryptocurrency in Trades with Europe, UK, Russia and S on: February 05, 2019, 09:28:34 AM
I don't think that this is going to be successful. These centralized coins are so bad and have nothing to do with Bitcoin. What surprises me is that, if Iran has agreed with France, Germany etc to make a trade with this coin that means that France, Germany etc are going to accept IranCoin? It is a good step for cryptocurrencies if this happens...

Next country that needs to develop a cryptocurrency to avoid US sanctions is North Korea...Let's see!
4860  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-1-25] When Bitcoin ETF? Not Any Time Soon, But Maybe by 2020 on: February 05, 2019, 09:21:20 AM
Why there is so much obsession about an ETF?
If we are not able as a community to increase the market cap without an ETF then we will not make this ecosystem grow further.
ETF will just increase the centralization in the blockchain and maybe after some time it may impact the price of Bitcoin negatively.
