"As soon as your payment is received in full you will receive email confirmation with order delivery details."

I'm not questioning Bitmain; I really do like them over all the others, but did anyone who ordered yesterday receive any email confirmations of their orders?

Just checked UPS tracking, and its in Ontario,CA.  right on schedule for tomorrow's delivery. Grin

4843  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Using S1 AntMiners as Heaters for "Bitcoin House" Project on: March 13, 2014, 07:37:57 PM
I'm in Michigan (10° F) and have been heating my home with AntMiners for the last month and a half. It takes about 24 to maintain a comfortable 70° F. They are all in my basement and I have fans moving the heat upstairs. For reference, my home is around 3600 sq ft if you include the basement. When the ambient temperature gets over 20° F, I have to pull cool air in through the basement windows with additional fans.

You have 24 ant miners...  Jealous.. this is my future plan.  Well maybe not ant miners but a lot of hashing power.
4844  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the most stupid comment you've heard about bitcoin? on: March 13, 2014, 07:17:50 PM
"Bitcoin is a currency."

Fact: Bitcoin is crypto-gold, not crypto-currency.  99% of bitcoin users hoard or speculate.  It has zero prospects for ever becoming a currency, but it's a great speculative investment.

Gold IS money.

The first country to back thier paper currency via BTC will make it rain.  One large problem is only three countires are not owned by the central bank and I doubt any of them would be interested in doing this.  Although when the debt bubble goes pop... people won't be to interested in paper.
4845  Economy / Economics / Our crazy debt system. on: March 13, 2014, 07:09:19 PM
I was curious to where money came from... I googled where does new money come from a year ago and a bit..  The red pill has flipped my view of everything upside down.

Do you guys think the game will come to an end?  I sure hope it does but I do feel horrible for people that thought food, shealter, water and security where worthless and that paper was something of extreme value.  A bunch of my frineds think I've lost my mind and refuse to believe the Bank of Canada, FED, etc are privately owned... Even better was when I was told "there is nothing to worry about america could just pay all it's debt off with gold!"
4846  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I draft Andreas Antonopoulos to sit with Jimmy Wales of Wikipedia. on: March 13, 2014, 06:45:57 PM
Bitcoin is a decentralized entity

Funny how some people can't live without centralization and always need someone to "represent" them... ask Andreas to talk to Jimmy Wales??? Andreas is BTC president or something?

Also I think Jimmy Wales is intelligent enough to make his own decisions.

Andreas's knowledge of Bitcoin and his ablity to explain it is why he was suggested.  The man is brilliant.

When the debt bubble blows up...  Things are going to get interesting.

100 Million for 3 XPM

PM me

This is more than they were selling for on Cryptsy! But I`m still holding mine in hopes that they`ll be worth more than 3 primetoshi

Impossible they were removed from Cryptsy almost a Month ago,

Cryptsy did not remove them from your account just shut down trading.  I still have a bunch of pennies on cryptsy myself.  TBH I was expect cent to completely fall apart.

Just remembering some of the Antminer threads, there have been some issues if BTC transfer has not been received within the hour.

If your order is still pending after 2 or 3 hours, you should email webmaster@bitmaintech.com before resubmitting, then post in the main Bitmain thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=417159.0 as well as PM Bitmain to see order status before re-submitting the order.

Site says Paid now, Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy.  /Dance

Congrats!  Best of luck on your investment.  Not sure on ROI, but for the pricetag and speed of delivery, it beats any pre-order delay anyday.   Smiley

I am just trying to get started learning about how to ASIC mine, I already mine Primecoin with my CPU.

Just ordered 6 Antminers from Bitmain and 3 power supply units from Tigerdirect for about $4,500.  1080 gigs of hashing power.  As for the heat that they will generate in my apt..........

So Bitmaintech.com is a good site eh?

Furthermore how long does it usually take for the miner to get to you?

Depends where you're located.  I'm on the east coast of the US, it arrived in 5 days after I placed my order.

Do you know if they are sticky about that must pay within an hour?  I sent it from my exchange(probably a bad idea.. o well) and it will probably take 1-2 hours :S.

4855  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2014 is going to be a GOOD year for bitcoin they said... on: March 11, 2014, 02:14:14 PM
One large positive event could send bitcoin skyrocketing.. The public believe what ever they are told.  It's very possible a game is going on right now to drive the price low to open buying chances for the top %.  Then they release news such as the states will allow all bitcoin transactions, no regulation, just want tax on things bought with bitcoin.  I am just speculating but that's what I would be doing if I was in the top .001%.
