A few newbies seem to want this coin. TechnoMage, will you accept bids made by newbies?

Newly created accounts bidding in auctions is a concern, but we will just have to trust OP at some point. A bigger concern is newbies taking on increased risk by bidding on a preorder sale. Is OP willing to accept escrow or other forms of payment (credit cards) for newbie accounts? I am sure this will increase the number of bids if OP agrees.

Credit cards for preorder auction. Oh geez.... this could be a disaster. Sad

If someone does a US group shipment, and buyers split the cost...

I couldn't see why we would all pay 66 euros each, when we could split up costs to be smaller.

If anyone wants I wouldn't mind handling a US group shipment.

I'll certainly go in with you.  Ideally, we could combine the custom value empty coin being made if they're available around the same time.
I am interested in some coins and could handle the group buy if needed. I guess we would need a number of coins and then I just bid for all of them?

Already started a thread on this.

Thanks Smiley

Here is a list of all Finish shipping costs: http://www.posti.fi/liitteet/hinnatjamaksutavat/hinnastot/kateispalv-hinnasto-en.pdf

@OP, why don't you send the coins in a bubble envelop? That way you pay letter costs instead of parcel costs.

The 1 BTC silver coin is in the Posti forbidden list for US shipping. This is why we've calculated the US shipping for this coin using UPS.

I was not aware that sending say a brass coin is fine, but sending a silver one all of a sudden opens up problems.  Very interesting.  Since I don't know who will end up buying these, I guess I cant rely on other US bidders in the auction to split the cost of shipping right now.

Perhaps I'll have to organize or get in a US group buy for these coins once they're for sale on your site or grouping all 3 auctions together.

Its a shame to have to send a letter sized $6-$8 item via UPS to the U.S. and have to pay $66 for shipping, just because its made of silver.

Anyways, thank you for the further clarification.

At this time, I still need to cancel my bid due to the shipping.

There is a new group buy I have started. Check the posts Cheesy

So overall, this is a per coin auction?
So even if someone bids for all 20 at say $1 and I bid $1.10, I would win?

Well whatever it is,

1 @ 0.1BTC  or (20 @ 2BTC)

Thank you Smiley

with 20 @ 2 BTC you will bid for 20 coins 2 BTC each = 40 BTC  Shocked

Aww man.... I am just a bit "what what?"
I got confused on the wording.
Cancel that 20@2  and guess already outbid on the 0.1BTC..... oh well. next time Cheesy

Thanks Smiley

Does the new coin have a serial #?

The new coin in this auction does not have a serial #. Serial numbers will be limited to the first 50 coins minted for the new design (a total of ~1,000 coins were minted).

Whatever happened to this coin with no markings?
Is it still available?

Thank you Smiley

"The BTCitcoin Penny Company Doodle Collection"  Cheesy

If you have ordered from The Bitcoin Penny Company (BPC), more than likely, you have received a small "doodle card"
It was enclosed with your order as a small token of thanks from the creator/member CJBianco
WEBSITE: http://thebitcoinpenny.com/
With their permission, I have started this thread to see how many and what kind of doodles have made it out into the world.
If you want to send me the doodle, I will pay for the stamp!
I intend to make a small booklet if enough cards are acquired.  Wink
Just post the back of the card (and front if something made it onto there as well.)
and the successive card/doodle # in the thread.

FRONT OF THE CARD

This is the very 1st sketch from the 1st sale of the Bitcoin Penny Company. It was submitted via PM by member/owner CJBianco
Thanks for this. A valuable piece of physical crypto history. Cheesy

Doodle #8

There are 3 versions of the Bitcoin Penny Doodle.
1st - (2015) made in 2015 for the original releases of the 2015 Bitcoin Penny. These cards measured 5 x 3.25 inches. Had the 2015 CJB penny on the backside. Signed with a "C"
2nd - (2016-A) made in 2016 for the new release rolls. These cards were quite larger than the originals and were limited in their release. They measure 6 x 4 inches. They feature the 2016 SN coin on the backside. Signed as "Chris w/ smiley"
3rd - (2016-B) made in 2016, continuation of the larger 2016 cards. These newest cards measure 5.25 x 3.5 inches and feature the 2016 SN coin on the backside as well. Signed as "Chris w/ smiley"
