4841  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasinorank.com - Reviews and ranking of Crypto Casinos on: October 24, 2021, 09:07:57 PM
Hello everyone!
I continue to research the topic of Provably Fair gambling. Today I want to present a short article about Provably Fair Poker.

You can read it here - https://www.bitcasinorank.com/provably-fair-poker/

Please do not hesitate to share your thoughts here or in the comments on the website.
That is a nice short article from you. Interesting that you briefed the history of virtual poker since the first game which ran in Atari and could be played by up to 4 players until the first poker site available from 1998 on. And I liked the fact you explained about provably fair poker differentiating poker rooms, where you play against other players, from table rooms, where you play against the house, while showing some examples of provably fair poker sites for those who might be interested in playing the game after reading your article.

Glad we have crypto casinos, because without them provably fair algorithm wouldn't be possible to be applied for real. That ensures gamblers have a more positive experience when betting, brings more legitimacy to the industry and strengths crypto gambling against fiat gambling.
4842  Economy / Economics / Re: Steam bans blockchain games on: October 24, 2021, 05:28:41 PM
Maybe in some years when blockchain games start playing a bigger role on the gaming scene they will be forced to make some adjustments, but by there I don't expect anything to happen.

Blockchain games will never get any traction, gamers don't care about blockchain technology, NFT and other buzzwords. The people who engage with them are just those who try to get rich quick on a speculative market.
May I ask what blockchain games do you know? And if you have played them?

You don't need to care about blockchain technology or any other keywords to play a game of that kind, just like you don't need to care about games' engines, development or any other technical informations or characteristics to play games in general.

Those who play blockchain games do this for different reasons: extra income is a big attractive, what doen't mean all of them are trying to get rich by speculating few assets at a high price, but there are also competitive players who spend lots of money to reach the top of a server's ranking and/or to oppress another players, exactly like in regular online games and in real life. Moreover, considering how miserable the world is, to get traction is just a matter of time, because there are millions of people looking for extra income and if it's possible to make it through a video-game they will go for it without any doubts.

Actually, "play to earn" isn't an exclusivity of blockchain games. You have people making money even from the most popular and famous online games, although it's illegal by the rules.
4843  Economy / Economics / Re: A tale of the two parasites on: October 24, 2021, 05:04:23 PM
There is one more even bigger parasite and that is government with all their politicians, and this parasites lives from everyone else including rich and poor parasites.
This corrupt lazy parasite is damaging economy even more with crazy rules and regulations, and it is destroying people with inflation, constant rising of taxes, and reducing freedom of people.
And please don't tell me that we can't built roads or live without government, because I am sure that we can.
Of course the government is the biggest issue here, because they are the common element between rich and poor parasites. There are only parasites from both species because there is a corrupt government behind feeding them with the taxes paid by another citizens.

The analogy works perfectly if you highlight the government's participation on the scheme, but it's inaccurate to label riches as parasites just because they don't want to pay taxes to feed the real parasites (the government and the ones patronized by them, being them rich or poor).
4844  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will bring the chaos what the world need. on: October 24, 2021, 04:13:49 PM
I don't think bitcoin will bring the chaos, because the chaos is already here and now. That is how I would define the economical situation of my country and I believe many will agree on this matter taking their own countries in consideration. And so far bitcoin is bringing order to this chaos, not in large scale, but in small dosages for every individuals who have found in bitcoin a solution for their personal financial challenges and obstacles which couldn't be overcame if only the fiat alternative were disponible for them.
4845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Going for the Underdog or Not? on: October 24, 2021, 12:12:01 PM
The true profit comes when you bet on the underdog and he wins, but in order to make a decent prediction you need to know more details besides the odds. So in this case, since we can't have access to more statistics it's safer to pick the favorite fighter, preferentially not risking too much money on this fight, as it is a "shot in the dark".

It's also important to notice what tournament category this fight belongs. As we know, the less remarkable the tournament and the participants, the higher the chances of a fixed match. Personally I would avoid betting in low tier, unknown tournaments and athletes for this reason.
4846  Economy / Economics / Re: Steam bans blockchain games on: October 24, 2021, 11:58:19 AM
I thought Steam was a little more open to innovation then that, the problem here is steam is a closed off internal market where you cannot withdraw the cash back out.    You must use their marketplace to trade items, I had thought there must be other games that let you buy stuff separate to steam market but those will be very large publishers if thats the case and able to form special deals to operate seperate.
Many might hate them because of the move they've done but its their platform and they will do whatever they want to do.
We've seen some Blockchain games under Steam like Age of Rust, MIR4 and Mist in the future but they kicked out these blockchain games because they have their own economy. An economy that Steam's isn't involved so why are they putting it under their platform.

In the future, we might see a company that will act like Steam that is purely blockchain games. A platform that will benefit blockchain games. Who knows and besides, nobody expected that NFT games will be created under blockchain right Smiley.
Exactly, steam is a business so they are not going to put games on their platform that are not going through their channels to buy and sell what you can get in the game, however people should take this as an opportunity, the first to release a decentralized platform that acts like steam will make a lot of money, it is to be expected that there are probably a lot of people working on this as we speak, so it is just a matter of time until steam is not really necessary for those kind of games.
True, as a business then you wouldnt really let anything that passes into them and wont able to make benefit while using up their platform. They cant really just allow on how things should go specially
we are talking about big revenue on here.

They had integrated bitcoin before in terms of payment but still end up on removing it because they dont like volatility and the fees. Then it does indicate that they are really
indicate that they arent really that positive in dealing with crypto.

Therefore it isnt surprising that they wont really be that positive towards other things connected to it.
Steam is in a comfort zone making a lot of money already without any competitors at their heels, so changes and innovative adoptions aren't considered a need for them. Maybe in some years when blockchain games start playing a bigger role on the gaming scene they will be forced to make some adjustments, but by there I don't expect anything to happen.

I just think they are a a bit selfish, because with blockchain games, earnings opportunities could be also disponible for players and not only for the Steam platform and developers, especially considering players invest a huge amount of time on videogames (if not their entire life), but Steam doesn't really care about it.
4847  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My first time using a Bitcoin ATM on: October 24, 2021, 11:37:48 AM
Hello everyone, I am writing this post, because yesterday, was the first time I ever used a Bitcoin ATM machine. I will be talking about my experience in this post.

So first off, I was asked a phone number for a verification code and then, I had to scan my Bitcoin address QR code. I then inserted 100$ of liquid money into the machine and recieved a notification on my phone telling me that the transaction went through successfully.

I was very surprised because I didn't think that the proccess would be that fast. To be honest, I will definitly buy from Bitcoin ATM's in the future as I clearly see this as the safest and most anonymous way to buy Bitcoin.
Congratulations Bro  Wink
I wished to know which ATM you used and in which area/country. Also about the fees, did you received the equivalence of 100$ in exact amount or some fee was deducted? And what about the network fee? Who paid it?
I think i will see btc ATM in my country when a creature from planet Mars kiss a human girl on the moon ground, this is why i ask such dumb questions. Thank you

The brand of the ATM was localcoin and my area is North America. for the fees, I recieved 95$ and obtained a discount code for my next purchase. It truly is very convenient!
5% fee is too expensive. In my opinion it doesn't worth to use ATMs because besides the transactions costs involved in a normal bitcoin transaction you also have to pay an extra to maintain the machine's costs and generate some profit for its owner. Possibly that is why the fee is so expensive. It's an interesting idea to be an ATM owner though...
4848  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Going public saying you own Bitcoin is not safe anymore on: October 23, 2021, 05:57:20 PM
It's risky indeed, but when people make a living from crypto universe, sooner or later they don't have any choice besides telling someone here or there they deal with bitcoin, as it's part of our social relationships to talk about facts of routine and work to others.

In this case I think it's important to always minimize the impact of bitcoin in your personal life. Usually people ask if you are able to earn a decent amount of money from crypto, so the answer should be something like: not too much, just the minimum necessary for monthly expenses.

By doing this you are relatively safe, because you won't be considered a precious target by bad people around. The key point here isn't to deal with bitcoin, but the emphasis you give on how much money you make from it, just like in any conversation about your fiat income, for an example. And of course, nothing regards personal finances or businesses (being bitcoin or not) should be shared in social medias where anyone can have access to.
4849  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: October 23, 2021, 12:56:21 PM
In my opinion it's better to make a separate wof for non-premium users with different rewards or the same rewards with lower chance of winning big prizes.
Premium users with thousands of Funtoken in hand(bought at higher price) deserve to have better chance in wof. Multi accounters are milking wof and you lower the chances for all accounts, this isn't fair.
Yes, I agree with you, otherwise it doesn't make sense to invest in FUN tokens anymore, unless you are a big bitcoin investor who will benefit from the extra daily interest feature over your bitcoin balance, because it's no longer possible to rely your investment on the wheel's returns.

Now besides FUN price going down you can't recover your investment decently through the wheel too. I know the site can't give more money than they earn and that it's their right to change rewards' rates anything they want, but it's an undeniable fact it's a quite frustrating situation for investors. Sad

Nobody buys FUN expecting the rewards will be drastically reduced overnight.
4850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 23, 2021, 11:47:51 AM
Manchester City, Tottenham, Liverpool and Newcastle are all interested in France winger Ousmane Dembele, 24, who is likely to leave Barcelona next summer. Everyone wants Dembele but what he will decide in the end?

Source: https://www.bbc.com/sport/59013142
Barcelona is still trying to renew the contract with Dembele, however it's his agent who is delaying the renovation, because from january 1 on he will be free to negotiate with another teams. By doing this, Dembele can receive better paying offers from another clubs, as Barcelona is also trying to decrease his wealthy wage for the next contract.

The main speculation I've seen is that Newcastle is a potential destiny for Dembele, as his agent has already made some contacts with the club regards this matter and also because Newcastle has very propitious financial conditions right now to afford a player like him much more than Barcelona which is suffering serious financial difficulties.
4851  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice machine on: October 22, 2021, 04:21:59 PM
The need to have a dicing machine at home becomes paramount and am wondering which dice machine I can go for?

I don't know if you are just using the wrong words here or you really meant them, but I don't quite agree with you. I mean, is there really a need to buy a dice machine? I guess this is just all about you, all about you merely wanting it because dice is one of your favorite gambling games.

Also, I don't agree introducing gambling to minors. That's a big no no for me. As a matter of fact, gambling is illegal to minors in almost all countries.

Why don't you teach your son something else like basketball, football, playing the guitar or the piano, fishing, and so on? Why gambling? Why even introduce it? I would understand if he's interested and approaches you first asking questions related to gambling, but if you are the one making the first move, I'm simply not for it.
I think it's better to be introduced to gambling by parents than by some unknown rogues on the streets. At least you know you are acquiring reliable informations from your father that will help you managing your bankroll during a gambling session and if a father spots his son isn't dealing with gambling properly, help can be found earlier, what will prevent negative consequences in the life of this individual.
Furthermore his son is 17 years old already, not a kid anymore. In this age people have the ability to learn the risks implied in gambling, what is inevitable in this modern world where there are constant incentives to this activity through gambling ads frequently seen on the internet, television and even on the streets.
4852  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: October 22, 2021, 01:27:40 PM

Actually both of Pogba'l parents  from Guniea but have settled in France, actually Pogba who was born in France can choose between defending the French or Guniea national team, but instead Pogba prefers France while his two brothers are currently defending the Guniea National Team
Defending the National Team is a form of our loyalty to country and I think, every player certainly has the desire to defend their respective country regardless of the salary they get, but obviously the salary they get from the country is not as big as what they get from the club, but of course defending the country in international tournaments is a matter of pride invaluable to a football player.
I personally hope that if Pogba, who is a in France, does not experience the same thing as what Mesut Ozil got when he was still with the German national team, which when Ozil performed well and Germany won they would treat him quite well, but when Germany lost of course ozil will be blamed and considered a turkish immigrant.

Sometimes football is ungrateful to its best players, I only remember Romario's saying that he had to train very hard to be one of the best, and sometimes fame comes for a short time to those who try hard, from In fact, Pogba's problem is somewhat difficult, in the Venezuelan team there are many players who are in Spain, Italy and Portugal, they are great but when you ask them why they do not play for their national team they say never, because they did not give them the opportunity, then this can sometimes come from a very deep problem that only those players have experienced.
Every players in a situation like this have their own personal reasons to not accept playing for their original national teams and in my opinion their decision should be respected by others because we don't know the difficulties, challenges and experiences they passed during the initial period of their lives that lead them to make that choice.

In my country there is also a professional player who refused to play for the local national team. Instead, he played for spanish national team. I don't remember exactly if it was in 2014 or 2018 world cup, but I do remember when Spain played and this specific player carried the ball my countrymen booed him on the stadium and I felt disgusted for that behavior.

Patriotism, love for the country can't be imposed to someone. It must be conquered daily with good examples coming from those who rule the society and the elder ones. But when it doesn't happen, naturally the younger generations will fell nothing for their homeland, especially when they have better examples living in foreigner countries.
4853  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Metaverse x Gambling on: October 21, 2021, 12:53:58 PM

There's no doubt if items in popular games like Dota 2 and Pokemons were to become NFTs, the world of metaverse will insanely increase and will create another huge hype that will make the gaming industry reach the top again. But right now, all we have are a few legit games and more games are fraud especially those who don't have any stories just to click and hit for money. Cryptoblade and other NFT games like it.

I have read one article talking about metaverse and one of the person who have the interest about this new feature is Mark Zuckerberg, this man has a huge imagination about metaverse and wanted people to see the Facebook platform from primarily a social media company to a Metaverse company. Reading the article made me realize the big opportunity that it can be in the future and maybe this would be a great platform too to combine in gambling industry, well I just think about it though.

https://www.theverge.com/22588022/mark-zuckerberg-facebook-ceo-metaverse-interview
This guy is thirsty for power and his imagination has no limits when trying to find new strategies to centralize things that should work in a decentralized way. It's painful enough to be a Facebook user nowadays, as the platform wants you to agree with several new terms they create every few months, without mentioning the constant attempts in collecting users' data, probably to resell to someone else.
It makes me think games launched by Zuckerberg would follow the same annoying methodology, while giving this man more power and influence yet. That is very dangerous in my opinion and I think there is so much potential and professional independent companies or developers working on projects for future Metaverse games that his "help" isn't needed at all.
4854  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency is important for a country? or not... on: October 20, 2021, 06:58:02 PM
Cryptocurrency is essential for the development of a country?
Does cryptocurrency play an effective role in the development of the country? Or does it hinder the development of the country and cause extreme damage to the country?
What do you think about this?
I wouldn't say essential, but bitcoin helps a country to develop itself. If you take El Salvador as an example, there is more money going into the country's economy due to remittance operations adopting bitcoin instead of using banks, which charged abusive fees. Without paying abusive fees, citizens have more money to spend with things they enjoy, what will consequently help the local businesses and economy to improve.
And when you have a strong economy it's a signal the country is evolving. It means the country will have more money to invest and offer better opportunities for its citizens and also for foreigner people who might be interested in investing there.
4855  Economy / Economics / Re: Facebook Diem on the run for launch on: October 20, 2021, 04:17:48 PM
I think we can already say the whole situation involving Facebook's crypto currency is a never ending novel. I'm hearing about it for years and so far it hasn't been launched yet. From times to times they come with something new, which ends delaying their crypto currency development. And there is actually a lot of uncertainties about this project yet, so that a partner project featuring Facebook's digital wallet called Novi, got tired of Libra or Diem, and decided to go ahead with the stablecoin Pax Dollar, initiating a pilot test in USA and Guatemala.

It seems Novi is going to be the focus of Facebook and Diem may stay in second plan.
4856  Economy / Economics / Re: Really, why bitcoin has this value? on: October 20, 2021, 11:20:50 AM
For me it was expected bitcoin was going to keep rising. Pay attention to the signs our society is showing right now. Governments don't know what to do to save the local economies, fiat currencies are breaking, banks keep oppressing average citizens and people want an alternative to preserve their financial life healthy. Bitcoin looks a good option, and then we have a chain of adopters which reaches to all spheres: individuals, businesses and even countries.

So you might ask why bitcoin and not an altcoin then. And I think the answer would be it's a matter of reputation and notability bitcoin has conquered.
4857  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Putin believes Bitcoin has value on: October 19, 2021, 06:37:12 PM
But even so, it shows that Russia seems to be adopting a friendly position facing cryptocurrency and it may be having some impact on the industry. Given that China adopted a harsh position towards cryptos, is it possible that miners are relocating from China to Russia? Is it possible for Russia to step up to occupy the former place China had in Bitcoin? I guess this is what is happening, otherwise, Putin wouldn't come public with such a neutral position.
Russia is an important energy provider for Eastern Europe. They have energy in abundance especially from gas and coal sources. The prices stay around 0.064$/kWh. It's half of the energy's price in my country, and although it looks great for me for that reason, I don't know if it's an attractive price to set up mining farms or if it should be even cheaper.
The negative side is that renewable sources of energy are almost inexistent in Russia, what could lead many people to criticize this move from russian government and bitcoin once again, just like we have seen in another countries.
4858  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Issue of fixed Matches on: October 19, 2021, 11:48:33 AM
Are fixed matches real? Do the coach and players of teams were matches have been fixed, do they consent to it? If you were in a team were your next fixture has been fixed, what will be your reaction?
Yes, it's real. There are many methods, but the easiest one would be team-x willingly play like a shit, then lose the match (team-y win).
BUT the real problem is whether your information is correct. The scammers might say there's match fixing involved, where's actually not. Or you can get the wrong information to bet on team-x. Where the smart (insider) money bet on team-y Cheesy
There are a lot of scammers in the space who claimed that they are selling some reliable fixed information of a certain game, but first, in order to get that information, we should avail of their services by paying the subscription fee, and most of the time it's very expensive so it's pretty obvious that they just want to score a scam on us.

Actually, there are a lot of rumors that sports are rigged or fixed, but it seems that no one could have proved it yet, as if they find someone, a player or a referee who they think are trying to rig the game, they can just punish them to make the certain sports look clean but in reality, it's still happening inside.

Anyway, it's not our main concern, our only concern is if the fixed information is reliable or not.
There is a method scammers use to lure people into paying that subscription fee. First, they start sending games' results to common people for free. But actually, they select a wide range of people and send different possible results for a same game to each of them. This way some will receive the correct result, while others will receive wrong results.

So, close to the date of next game, scammers pick the people who received the correct result information of the previous game and send them new results predicting the next match. Again, some will be told team A will win, others will be told it will be a draw and others will be told team B will win.

Week after week scammers will do this and at some point, those individuals who are constantly receiving the correct results will feel tempted to subscribe to the scammers' services. When this happens, informations about the games stop arriving at their mailboxes/emails, as scammers have finally accomplished their goal.

Most of mine are also locked for 365 days as I want to keep the premium benefits but with the rest I try to trade more often. Price is going downwards but hopefully with some new features/competition, we can see another price jump.
Let's see what happens with the price. As you mentioned new features and competitions I remembered XFUN will be launched on Polygon network together with its own XFUN casino, which will bring poker and sports betting scheduled for the first quadrimester of 2022 and also a feature called "Casino Lay Staking", which I believe is similar to investing in casinos' bankrolls.

This must be the worst result ever in WOF these spins.

42 spins ALL of them minimum price.

I actually made a loss on these having earned worth 1344 sat but spent 1400. And I almost did all the spins 21 or 23 possible (in 24 hours you can only manage to make 23 spins that register within these 24 hour limits).

Very sad.
I've just had a very bad result too: from 75 spins got only 700 and few RPs, 1200 and few tickets, 700 and few satoshis. I should have taken a print of that, but I was so frustrated that I just closed the tab. Tongue

Those bonus WOF spins looked a potential investment (besides RPs, we have also to invest time on it), but now I see it is entirely gambling.
4860  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we accelerate the mass adoption of crypto? on: October 18, 2021, 05:21:01 PM
In my opinion, regulation, practicality, and stability are definitely required for the mass adoption of crypto as a payment method/currency.
What are your opinions on this?
Regulations are already on the way and practicality will depend on the kind of regulations that we are going to have. Fair and simple regulations help the practical aspect of bitcoin, while bureaucratic and abusive regulations make people have negative experiences when dealing with bitcoin, what will consequently impact mass adoption negatively.

About stability I just hope it isn't a requirement, because if it is, mass adoption isn't going to happen, as nobody can control bitcoin's price artificially to make it stable. Bitcoin exists as an alternative to the traditional currencies' system. If it had to work following the same model of fiat currencies there wouldn't be a reason for bitcoin to exist at first place. The volatile nature of bitcoin must be accepted by everyone who uses the crypto currency.
