4861  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos are open - end of the Pandemic era. on: June 07, 2020, 11:51:40 PM
Yeah, that's right, las Vegas has reopened several locations that are at the heart of the lives of residents and comers in the city. It includes the casino which is the center of interest in LV. However, in fact, not all casinos operate during this pandemic virus. Although the city has reopened several sectors, they still adhere to the advice in order to avoid the spread of the Covid-19 virus based on the health protocol.

As for what was opened in LV related casinos are as follows:
1. Casino resorts
It has been reopened but not all of the casino resorts are opened. Only some. And they also use health protocol when entering the casino resorts areas.
While the pool, clubs (night or day), shows, some certain restaurants, and also poker rooms are not reopened right now.

Casinos for gambling itself also have been reopened, but it is very different with the usual concept previously before this pandemic.
The LV is really willing to reopen the casino because it is the lifeblood of the city. But, on the other hand, LV must also commit to make it work based on the health protocol in order to minimize the COVID-19 spread and stay healthy for all.

The most differences in the gambling methods can be seen here:
Quote
The Gaming Control Board has set limits of six players per craps table, three per blackjack table, four per roulette or poker table and that slot machines are spaced out, or that every other chair is removed. In addition, the board’s plan limits a property’s occupancy to no more than 50% of its normal limit.

that is interesting, isn't it?

4862  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: OrginTrail (TRAC) went from $0.005 to 0.07 in less then 3 months. on: June 07, 2020, 11:22:54 PM
...snip...
this project was started in 2013, right? Wow, it is an old project and it has a great roadmap to see. When it was in 2013, it introduced first about the alpha version for the organic product of beef. Actually I have just known about this project from this thread. It also has a partnership with BSI in 2019.
I search for this in CMC but no information. then, in Coingecko, I found some good information about it.

From the chart above, we can look at how the price of this OrginTrail (TRAC) progress.
The highest price was in May 2018, like the other projects, in 2017-2018. It can reach $0.364390.
But, likely the other coin, it drops to $0.00385262 at an all-time low.

And if it can reach again to around $0.072865, it will be better. The question is, can it reach again like in the past price? reaching $0.364390 or more?
Moreover, it is also listed in some popular exchanges such as:
KuCoin
Bittrex
Idex
HitBTC and some others.

I am sure that if a project has good real products with good project development and the team, they will seriously build the project, maintain and also survive in the crypto world. until here, they can provide that their job is awesome.

4863  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain benefits on: June 07, 2020, 11:04:55 PM
I understand it is a priority for many to make quick money through blockchain,
Do you mean by creating a project by blockchain technology? Or only as of the participant of the project? well, I think you need to specify what kind of involvement for us that blockchain allows us to make money. it is probably true that Blockchain technology opens a wider range of sectors to earn money. for, it can give us a chance to:

1. As developer and team
collecting funds by creating such legit and worthy blockchain projects, of course, with great progress and development, team, community, and also products, the project will continue to the future, having more value, and also rising more funds to earn. However, if the project is likely a shit project, it will die soon.

2. As employer/employee
of course, it also opens job vacancies. every blockchain technology will require some parts to be handled by certain people. It opens the job vacancies to work with the project developer. we can be part of the community manager, marketing, project development, and other stakeholders that are involved in the projects. And if it is legit, we can really earn a good income from it.

3. As promoting sectors (bounty and other promotion campaigns)
It is the easiest way to earn money in the blockchain sector by being a bounty hunter, airdrop hunter, and also other campaigns to join, referral, beta test promotion, and many others.

4. Earning money from trading or investing
if it is related tot he crypto world, I think that trading, scalping, investing, and some kinds of earning money based on crypto become great ways. of course, it may not be easy, but at least, it has proven to many people in the worldwide that they are significant and effective ways to earn money in the blockchain technology era.

However, as you said, blockchain is not only for earning money, it is the future.
that's right.
But, what kind of future do you mean? Can you give me such a point?

Personally, it may be seen from the common and specific views.
For the future of Blockchain, I personally agree and interested in the content of these following sources:
https://www.investopedia.com/tech/forget-bitcoin-blockchain-future/
and here
https://www.aithority.com/guest-authors/blockchain-technology-in-the-future-7-predictions-for-2020/

They are probably predictions, but they make sense and based on the situation and condition in the world.
4864  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT DOES IT REALLY MEAN on: June 07, 2020, 10:50:52 PM
I am new to cryptocurrency world and I've learnt a lot since I started reading about it but I've not really gotten much of understanding on what is meant by FIAT CURRENCIES?
Are you sure having read a lot? I think you need to add your sources to read.
here, you can easily find what fiat is:

It is so clear to see in the picture. You can also find it on google.
To make it easier, fiat is a kind of legal currency issued by every country and it not backed by the commodity likely gold. Fiat is commonly used as the major payment method, transaction, currency value, and also the manner of "money".

I am sure that you use money in your country to buy something, pay something, and also you get when earn something right? that's the fiat.

..snip..
I already know that eBay has this kind of contract?? really? It is confusing, but, it is yes in their official eBay site. So, if they are doing scamming, how can? they are trusted eCommerce in the world. but, it seems so strange making this kind of contract mining of ETH.
Moreover:
Quote
After the purchase please send your wallet address by "Add note to the seller" or via message, so I can able to process your order fast.
Does mining work like this? By purchasing? I think that it is difficult to believe in this, to purchase at first, and then I will get at least around 0.01 ETH into my wallet? I don't think that I will buy it, moreover, it still looks strange.
And when I am looking for another source about this news, yes there is. But, it is sold out. Is it really? Sold out?
Here, https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/2274531226
It seems that there are several offers and they provide some different products of investment or mining systems.
4866  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Spend Bitcoin? on: June 07, 2020, 10:25:08 PM
Do you feel bored and then spending your Bitcoin shopping? I think it is a good idea, but it must be limited. How can we only spend more and more Bitcoin if it is still self-quarantined? I personally better do more than only shopping. It may be boring but I think trading Bitcoin is much better to focus during this pandemic. Moreover, there are also some other activities to be done. Why should you spend more Bitcoin?  Grin Grin
I personally will prefer to do these following activities in spending my free time (outside working on my job and crypto) such as playing with my kid, cooking, playing games, and other activities including having exercises at home.

recommendations as to what other spending methods I should add.
Trading Bitcoin is the best thing that I can because it can make me earn more BTC again. if I have moe BTC, I can fulfil my daily needs and also my families. As we know, in this pandemic era, it is very difficult to seek a job outside and it is forbidden. So it is better not to spend the BTC, but to make it for trading or investing in order to gain more profits.
4867  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: [Newbie][Edukasi] Perbedaan Alur Kerja Otentikasi Tradisional, 2FA dan 2SV on: June 07, 2020, 04:19:43 AM

Di sini, saya juga baru tahu jika faktor otentikasi berasal dari 3 jenis berikut: faktor pengetahuan ("something you know"), faktor kepemilikan ("something you have"), dan faktor bawaan ("something you are").

Contoh:

Image diambil dari www.grahamcluley.com

2. 2FA

Quote
1. just a password is traditional;
2. Using a password + google authenticator app on your smartphone is true 2FA (because the code is calculated locally);
3. Using a password + SMS code is 2SV with a single channel;

4868  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 🧐 Bounty vs Buying likes, views, followers etc on: June 06, 2020, 11:58:44 PM
Bonjour, community. I have quite big experience with Bounty since 2016.
You said that you have been in bounty since 2016, but your account was created in 2019. How could you be active before creating this account?

Well, you're right.
First, buying likes, comments,s and whatever you said, maybe not effective, or sometimes really not effective. That is why the bounty is not the only way to promote the projects.
Bounty will help to spread the project, at least, it can be spread around the world (if it relates to social media bounty). If the members have big followers with high likes, views, and others, probably they are not all real people, but, I am sure that among them, there are real followers that will at least see the projects and be interested in it. So, it may not be the most effective way, but it can help to spread the project, to let more and more people know the projects.

If you really want to make great promotion, so I will prefer to choose to hire Youtube content that is popular and trusted with high views (not a bot but real person related to crypto). It will be more effective.

4869  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "NEW NORMAL" Betting on: June 06, 2020, 11:44:44 PM
I think I have ever read about the sports betting that will be reopened this month, June. But still don't find the latest news whether it is really permitted to reopen the league or not. However, if there is a league of sports bet, the fans will not be able to attend or watch it directly. It means that probably it will only be released on live streaming or other ways.
In my opinion, the new normal may be varied to be implemented in each country. It always has pros and cons that must be paid attention to.
However, if the new normal is really taken, one to remember that this virus is not ended yet and it is still around us. that is why we must be still careful and watch out of the virus spreading. Stay following the health protocol.
If it is related to sports betting, well, I think it may be a dilemma.
4870  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where to buy Bitcoin with creditcard fast? on: June 06, 2020, 11:37:17 PM
...snip...
I'm sure that when the OP is looking for the site to buy BTC with a credit card, he has already known the pros and cons of using that CC> It is also his risk to manage his funds when using CC including the fees, fund management, and others.

Here, there are some sites that achieve credit cards to be used for payment to buy BTC and probably several cryptocurrencies. And they are available without ID verification.
1. Switchere
Can use a Credit card, visa, crypto, and other cards instantly even without ID verification.
2. Localbitcoins: P2P marketplace, can buy and sell Bitcoin is fast, easy, and secure near you in the worldwide.
3. Coinmama: You can buy the crypto using your credit card, but it needs verification.
Why do you search for the exchange that doesn't need verification ID? I think that those with KYC verification may offer more secure transactions. But, of course, it will also depend on the exchange itself. BTW, is there any local exchange in your country?

4871  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: STATIC btc address on: June 06, 2020, 10:19:36 PM
Is there any site that is trusted to generate a bitcoin address, (priv key)
So, you are looking for online wallet sites to generate your Bitcoin wallet.
Well, it may be easy enough to use the online wallet, however, one of the disadvantages of the online wallet is its security. It may be also about the risk of getting viruses.
Quote
Cons: Least secure method of storing cryptocurrency; risk of downloading viruses
But, if you are really looking for the online wallet sites, you may go for:
Coinbase: n exchange that is integrated with wallet
Lumi Wallet: easy, free, supports BTC and some ERC20 tokens likely ETH and others.
Blockchain: popular website
But once more, they may be easy and free, but they have high risks.

There are actually several types of wallets you can use besides that online wallets based on the web.

Desktop wallet
In this desktop wallet, you need to download and also install the wallet into your device (computer/laptop). the, you must store the private key in the hard drive. of course, you need to make a backup of the data (private key, password, and other important data to access your wallet, never forget about it and make it safe notes and storage.)
They are likley:
electrum (segwit)
Exodus
Atomic Wallet
and more.
They are all available for Windows, Mac OS, Linux.

Hardware wallet
But of course, a Hardware wallet is the safest and most secure Bitcoin wallet to use.
The most popular hardware wallets are:
Ledger Nano S
TREZOR
KeepKey
However, it is not free, you must spend money to use the hardware wallets.

Well, actually, you can get information about the best wallet for Bitcoin in this forum by using the search button, there have been several sources discussing it, especially in the Beginners & Help

And probably, this source can help you to learn more about the wallets for Bitcoin (and probably for other cryptos.

4872  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I like to learn and use bitcoin on: June 06, 2020, 09:48:35 PM
Well, it is an interesting discussion about the use of Bitcoin and other cryptos for payment transactions. We all have known that currently, the online payment have been rising, moreover because of the pandemic. It is done in order to decrease the ways of spreading the virus. by online payment, we can limit our movement and activities for touching something. In this case, the OP concerns is about the Bitcoin. Well, such interesting and personally I also feel the same, will be great enough to use Bitcoin and other cryptos for some kinds of payment method and transactions. However, before going to have it, there are some notes as the followings

have met allot of people and some of them are already old (60 above), and for them, there's no room for improvements in terms of transactions as even bank transfer is hard for them to execute that they need someone to support them while doing so.
If you are talking about 60 YO people and more, I think it is better to let their children or families to do the online payment. Well, in some countries, online payment may have been usual and common enough. For 60/moreYO people, they are probably usual to use online banking and other online payment methods for transactions. But, for some other countries, they cannot, they are really not usual using this, they will prefer to use the fiats for payment. Moreover about Bitcoin, I don't think that it will be effective for them.
However, if it is about for the people under 50YO, I am sure that it is still effective and may work well for them to learn about online payment, especially about Bitcoin or other cryptos. (note: it doesn't mean that I underestimate 60/more YO, but I see the reality, it may be the most.)

A dream of inviting our old citizens to bitcoin will not be possible if we ourselves lacks the fundamental knowledge about it, the best way to properly explain things is to first learn and use it.
Second, if we are going to introduce the people about using Bitcoin, we should ensure that it is available to use that digital currency for payment methods in your country. How can we teach someone with something not exist in the area around us? For example, I live in a country where the Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are only legalized as digital assets, but not for the payment. It must be noted. It means that this expectation cannot be implemented in all countries, especially like what happens in my countries, it will never be effective to introduce the BTC for payment because it will not be used there. However, if it is for the countries that already use BTC for payment, I think we only need to spread the positive news and issues to them, teaching them by acting, they will see what you do and what you get. And when they think it is effective and easy enough, they will be interested in learning about it.

If it is about introducing them to use BTC as another way of investment or earning money, it may happen in almost all countries that support or legalize crypto. In this case, you may not tell them only about the profits, high expectations to be rich, and others. It is better to tell them the exact facts, about the profits and also risks.

4873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to find tokens based on exact Blockchain? on: June 04, 2020, 11:53:36 PM
First, you must decide what coins do you refer to, the new projects, or listed coins.
if you are looking at some new coins from new projects (ICO/IEO, and other fundraising projects), you may search for in these followings:
https://icoholder.com/
https://icodrops.com/
https://cryptopotato.com/ico-list/

and many others. But noted, never only believe in their reviews, you must do your own research to the entire information and data of the projects, including teams, and others.

But, if you are looking for the coins that have been listed, you can use the trackers. the most used trackers are likely:
https://coinmarketcap.com/
https://www.coingecko.com/en
https://www.cointracker.io/
https://www.cryptocompare.com/

Well actually there are still many crypto trackers, but those are most I commonly use. Hopefully can help you. You can find the lists of the coins, its website, exchange, ranks, and other information on the tracker website. Additionally, you can compare the results among the websites in order to get better details and data. But once more, you must do your own research in order to take the best crypto to pick.

First, it is really careless when you have that big amount of BTC (4 BTC, really) and you do not take care of the password that is considered very crucially in this case. It can be lessons for you later and whoever that saving all important data must be careful, for example, the Private key, mnemonic phrase, password, and other important data. Never show it to the others even your friends, and also must have a backup of those crucial data in order to save your assets, especially the worthy one.

Second, related to recovery BIP38 Password, there are some video tutorials that you can find out on YouTube. You can check for them likely:

4875  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is good for environment on: June 04, 2020, 09:18:02 PM
First, we should know what kind of Bitcoin activities are considered. So, we should break up it one by one to know the impact of Bitcoin on the environment, whether it is good or bad.

1. Mining impact
if it is about mining Bitcoin, I think that it will relate to the electrical energy to spend around the world. The issues that are always raised related to Mining Bitcoin (or even other cryptos) is the use of electricity. As known, Bitcoin mining needs high supply of energy/electricity. It becomes the main issue that will be always faced. However, we can count the countries that spend on mining. Again, this may not give a big impact moreover the miners are reducing by days.

2. Environment activity
Bitcoin allows us to do something online. In this case, we can buy something online, earning money, making transaction, and also creating good environment using Bitcoin. it will decrease the use of energy and decrease the pollution. However, of course, it will depend on each personality in order to spend the energy activity.

- Don't be greedy.
- Don't be panic both in bullish and bearish.
- Plan a reasonable profit target.

In my view, the three points above are the most things that I learn from Bitcoin. We can learn them not only in Bitcoin investment but also in trading Bitcoin. For the first time investing or trading Bitcoin, I remembered that I have difficulties in controlling my self. I sometimes set a too big target and panic when Bitcoin price move quite big, both in decline and increase. However, as time goes by, I have learned how to deal with it. Finally, I know what to do right now.

Is it true? As we know, it is related to the pandemic. But I also heard that some sports bets are going to open. however, they will always still follow the health protocol.
besides, sports bet boxing betting that is going to be in June should be missed by many people. But the next question is about will be there any fans to watch directly? some sports bets are doing the same and they may not include the fans at the stadium. It may be a dilemma if they will open boxing betting in this month.
By the way, the other sports bets are also coming. some will be also opened in LA. Moreover, the casino, the gamblers said that they have missed so much being on the offline casinos and playing directly.

.. At the same time, I panic and I made all my investments on ETHBear in the face of huge profit.
Now it can be the lessons for us right here, panic will deserve nothing, panic will only lead you for worse decisions and leading tot he bad situation. That is why whatever the condition, panic must be removed.

this investment was done at the behest of a YouTuber...
Do you mean the YouTuber scam with live streaming and they are actually scammer? it may make sense very much because the Youtuber is very ensuring and they offer live streaming.

In this case, the two cases actually can be managed and you must crosscheck each other in order to avoid similar mistakes.
