4861  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The best way to accommodate beginners with Bitcoin. on: July 29, 2016, 02:01:48 PM
I think the easiest way to explain to someone about Bitcoin is over an instant messaging app like Whatsapp or Telegram. You can build local Bitcoin communities along with the global ones and direct new users to some of them to get answers to their Bitcoin related questions. This will be a great advantage for the new users, they will be able to ask questions as chatting with one of their friends.

Please let me know what you think and I will write more.

i am not really a fan of whatsapp or telegram but i have seen many many people use these two everyday. so i guess if you could start a new group and advertise it enough to get a lot of users in, then that can be a good advertisement for bitcoin as long as you are not just talking about price and instead stick to how bitcoin works and what the benefits are.
4862  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Bot on: July 29, 2016, 01:46:51 PM
be careful when visiting a website or worst that than, downloading an .exe file on your computer. you may be downloading a virus or a keylogger that broadcasts your private keys to the owner.

and to answer your question, no bots on their own are not going to make you any profit. but instead the way you use them can be profitable.
4863  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did you ever lose time from work or school due to gambling? on: July 29, 2016, 11:06:50 AM
i have wasted my time and money on gambling with bitcoin, but i have never been this deep like you. i have always been greedy about spending my bitcoin so i have always kept my gambling amount low so the time i spend is also limited based on the low amount that i put it and lose it all Smiley
4864  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: is gambling worth to try for newbie? on: July 29, 2016, 10:58:28 AM
if you are looking to make money from gambling then don't, you are better off continuing to use faucets and gather dust rather than doing the same thing and then losing it all to fees and also to gambling sites.

gambling is risky and whatever strategy you think you may have and think it can work, it will never work out for you the way you want it because winning in gambling is based on luck and you can't control that.
4865  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin sparks your road to success, what will you do for people who... on: July 29, 2016, 10:53:07 AM
well, i have only introduced bitcoin to the people whom i knew, like my family and friends and also some of my coworkers. and not all of them have accepted it and even thought i am wasting my time. so even if i get somewhere with bitcoin and become successful this way, they are still my family and friends and i will still continue showing them the benefit of using bitcoin.
4866  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Online jobs that offer bitcoin payment? on: July 29, 2016, 10:49:18 AM
Hi!

I was wondering what online jobs/websites/etc do you know where one can work and get paid via bitcoin? so far I know you can solve captchas but that's basically wasting hours for a few cents a day. I'm wondering if there are better opportunities out there? thanks!

you can find micro jobs on the services board on the forum, and also you can offer your skills if you have nay in that board to find some jobs.

but generally the most famous place that i know that is the place for people to go and find jobs for bitcoin and vise versa is here: reddit.com/r/jobs4bitcoin
4867  Economy / Exchanges / Re: why robots on yobit allow to place small orders? on: July 29, 2016, 10:44:36 AM
because everything about YOBIT exchange is shady!
there is a little chance that it is another person's order that is being partly filled for example you place a big order to buy a coin with amount as big as 500,000 satoshi then there is another order above you for the value of 10,004 satoshi so when someone can buy 10,004 satosho but since it goes into two orders the history shows two, one of which is smaller than the allowed volume (this is normal)

but since it happens a lot on yobit and one right after another it can only be something shady that the site itself does not the people using the API.
4868  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and space colony on: July 29, 2016, 10:34:52 AM
people don't need money in outer space!
and even if they become capable of living on other planets they are not gonna need money, they will have all their needs shipped out to them from earth.
and by the time another planet is colonized at least 200-300 years has passed. and by that time who knows if bitcoin is still around.
4869  Economy / Speculation / Re: When do you expect prices to fall on: July 29, 2016, 10:30:04 AM
I do not expect the bitcoin price to fall from there. It might rise to $900 and then falls to $700 from there.

we'll see about that.
but for now it seems like the bitcoin market is the most boring of all with the stable price at $650 with so little movements. but i am expecting a rise after this period ended.
$700 will be the easy next target and $800 the resistance.
4870  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it a good long term investment to buy 1 BTC today? on: July 29, 2016, 10:26:47 AM
To those who didn't manage to buy just below or just over $500, this is the right time to do it. The block halving will make you a good return if you have patience enough to hold till July tll december2016. If you chase short term profits, then just stick to day trading if you know how to play the market right.

the block halving will not affect the price anymore. not sure why some people still think like that. the price has to go up on its own by demand coming from new people and traders looking for a new type of investment.

if block halving were to affect the price, it should happen now that there is a time past the halving not before it. before halving the rise had many other different reasons. it was time for a rise because it was held down by the whales around $450. but now that supply rate has reduced the real effect will be visible soon.
4871  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your best investment strategy? on: July 29, 2016, 10:22:41 AM
Invest on popular investment and some HYIP. I know how HYIP works and i understand the risky too, i already know how to invest and play safe on HYIP.
hyips are really bad to be honest and they will not allow you to earn any money because they will just steal your money most probably, i just save all my bitcoins i have for the future

if you "want to" lose your money then by all means, throw it away on HYIPs and give it for free to the scammers and let them laugh at you for being gullible.

in my opinion it is so much better to go on a dice site, set the multiplier to 2x and then put in the same amount of money you wanted to put in the HYIP, that way you will be taking a so much smaller risk and you know that nobody ripped you off.
4872  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much drop this weekend, July 29 thru August 1? on: July 29, 2016, 10:17:53 AM
meh, we don't know that. there has been a lot of swings in the past few weeks for bitcoin price up an down so you never know when it is going to happen. the range is clear now the time is not.
4873  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase now supports Etherium; Is this a threat to Bitcoin dominance on: July 29, 2016, 10:13:31 AM
This be good features for coinbase. i just looking there like for wallet, nothing special i guess. And for ETH-coin it's still high risk cause i see ETH-coin price unstable.

Most of the cryptocurrencies are unstable if we check their price history on charts, also I think that it is much better for ethereuk rather than for coinbase, from this we can conclude that coinbase is going to a multicoin exchange.

honestly i find this a stupid or shady act from coinbase to add ethereum to their exchange that had only bitcoin to this date. when there are other altcoins that have been around for years and have reached some kind of stability, as a business you would first go to them not an unstable shady altcoin that has been only pump and dumped, has a big flaw that led to hack and also has two chains.
4874  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is stealing Bitcoin illegal? on: July 29, 2016, 10:10:39 AM
this thread is way off the real topic that OP was asking once.
right now everybody is just reading the subject of the thread and starts spamming about "stealing" bitcoin. although it is part OP's mistake for not asking his question properly and not locking this thread.
4875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Steemit.com - How does one actually monetize their content on the site? on: July 29, 2016, 10:04:20 AM
it used to work in the beginning when there were few people there and not thousands of spammers spamming for money. right now everybody is only there to make money, they post long articles and then spam the link all over the internet to get viewers and bring their topic on top. but these days even good posters will receive a couple of cents for their post.
4876  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing investment on Gambling sites on: July 26, 2016, 03:58:10 AM

Was planing to invest on a gambling site since they said its a gauranteed profit since the house can't lose but I'm still skeptical about it, i don't have much BTC so I have to make sure whether its going to be profitable for me.  What possibilities could happen to the gambling site i wanted to invest into and how am i going to lose my investment in such a manner?
Well good idea but your profit will be very slow since you will just get a few of your deposited amount and i dont think it will double in months.

I don't think any real investments will double your investments in a month. If anyone promises such kind of profits, then don't believe them because it is not possible to get such a huge profit in a real business. Only people may get it from high-risk investments like gambling or trading, but you also can lose all your money in such investments.

there are many investments that can double your money in a month, of course i don't mean those scam sites that you had in mind. but instead some legit businesses of your own can make this kind of profit or for regular people with no business, trading can bring that much profit.
4877  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Any Advice? on: July 26, 2016, 03:49:33 AM
[c o l o r=r e d]Hello everyone.
I am a young kid who has gotten into bitcoin (among other techy stuff) the past couple months.
I work on my PC in the up-and-coming city of Menasha, Wisconsin.
I'd like to ask everyone on the BTC forum for advice.
What can I do to learn more about bitcoin and "level up" in position?
Thanks,
MM
[/c o l o r]

first of all, don't add annoying formatting to your posts it hurts the eyes.
if you want to learn about general stuff about bitcoin visit bitcoin.org and the wiki https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/ and read those articles.
and any question you may have you can use google first to find the answer fast and easy and if you could not find it then ask it here and other users will help you.
4878  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the price of Bitcoin change more than traditional currencies? on: July 26, 2016, 03:45:23 AM
I have read in one of the article online that one of the reason why Bitcoin change more than traditional currency is that too much variance in perceptions of Bitcoin's store of value and method of value.  It was said that Bitcoin volatility is driven in large part by varying perception of intrinsic value of the crytocurrency as a store of value and method of value transfer.

Its a mixture of multiple things that factors those assumptions of price.. but any market order can literally persuade the audience to be convinced to buy a tad more then they expect.

But if there is a solid foundation of reasons why buying is a factor like we saw with the halving situation - then this is where it becomes more of a solid situation.

the reason can simply be to make a profit. because at this point bitcoin is mostly viewed as an investment and everybody is looking for making a big profit from it. and that is why everybody (at least most of the investors) is buying and holding it.
4879  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will there ever be another bubble in Bitcoin? on: July 26, 2016, 03:41:17 AM
Yes there ate another bubble in bitcoin it will happen in next 2 years according to my research so if you have extra money do invest it in bitcoin because bitcoin become profitable in the next 2 years or next year. You earn and gain profits. Your saving got increase.

research? really?
care to share it with us too, share what resources did you use and how did you come to this conclusion.
there is no argument about bitcoin rising and becoming more popular so price goes up but to see another bubble is a complete different story and as we go forward the possibility of another bubble becomes less and less.
and remember not all rises are bubble.
4880  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you like what Coindesk is doing? on: July 26, 2016, 03:38:01 AM
Coindesk was good once, and not anymore. they have started to only care about ways to make more money by creating click baits and publishing all kinds of crap just like many other bitcoin news sites.

besides they have been censoring comments that sometimes go against their articles, you can find a couple of annoyed people in the services discussion board that their comments on the article was never published because they disagreed with the article.
