4861  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] | 🔥 Bitmixer.io Signature Campaign 🔥 | Earn up to 0.035 BTC/week on: July 15, 2017, 09:36:34 AM
Can I join it ?

He's just going to tell you to read the op, but looking at your post history I'd say you'd be kicked off pretty fast. Read the op, improve your post quality and try again.

Edit: Pretty much your entire post history is farmed with Games and Rounds posts so I'm going to guess it'll be a long time if ever before you're allowed on this campaign.
4862  Economy / Reputation / Re: BtcKing 1 giving himself positive trust via alts on: July 15, 2017, 06:10:10 AM
dam all this for me ?   Shocked
man  Cheesy
i indeed deleted the feedback so there is no point of leaving the red feedback now

Deleting evidence of an offense doesn't pardon you of it. You can't claim you were doing it as a test if you left the feedback there as you should have removed it at the time so this is just a silly excuse.
4863  Other / Meta / Re: BAN ALL SIG CAMPAIGNS on: July 15, 2017, 03:20:30 AM
Days on end wasted scrolling through nonsensical, unoriginal and distasteful posts.

Members spamming the community with comments to advance their sig campaign earnings, prostituting themselves for pathetic amounts of Bitcoin.

It's a plague and it must end.

Discuss.
Why don't you just ask to ban all of the spammer instead of asking to stop all of the signature campaigns,
Or are you mad because some manager didn't accept you in their campaign?

Because the level of spam coming from signature campaigns is unmanageable. You need to tackle the problem at the source. It's no good cutting the heads off a field full of weeds when they'll just spring right back. You need to nuke the entire field with weed killer. You need to destroy the root of the problem and that is currently lazy campaigns paying spammers. This is wholly the campaigns fault because if they didn't pay for shitposts nobody would be making them so if they continue to do this they need to go.
4864  Economy / Reputation / Re: hilariousandco and hilariousetc on: July 13, 2017, 10:07:46 AM
I asked if there were any slots left because I wasn't sure if they had all been taken. The only person here who is cowardly is the person hiding behind a brand new throwaway account. You're likely doing this because the quality of your posts would invalidate all your arguments against me. I also think it's likely you were denied from the very same campaign hence the butthurt.

4865  Other / Meta / Re: Is online chat is okay to have in this Board? on: July 13, 2017, 06:57:04 AM
Theymos mentioned the possibility of a chat board of some sort where posts are not counted whilst discussing what to do with the wall observer thread. I don't know whether it would be a good idea or not but as others have said if you want to chat join an irc room or something.
4866  Economy / Reputation / Re: Untrusted feedback? on: July 13, 2017, 06:39:05 AM
Not really,  but oftentimes people want trust for all the wrong reasons and look to exploit it. I'm not saying that's the case here but trust is earned over time and with effort so you shouldn't be just quickly seeking it out so you can say "hey,  look, I'm trusted". To me that usually has the opposite effect. Offer services and be an active member and you'll become trusted over time regardless of how many trusted feedback you have.
4867  Economy / Reputation / Re: Lauda Is a Stirrer and wants the bitcoin community to be fragmented on: July 13, 2017, 06:33:35 AM
The Turkish community does seem to be one massive circle jerk who usually can never take any sort of even vague criticism of themselves (and you can't deny it when you've pathetically created an alt to do exactly this).
Very nicely put. My statement was pretty much proven when a ton of random users, who usually have nothing to do with this section, came in jumping to support three users within minutes.

I've seen that happen too. It's usually their alt accounts... sorry "friends". Friends who are probably just using the same ips/proxy and get caught using the same bitcoin addresses  Grin.

I've seen some utterly stupid nonsense come out of a fair few Turkish users (Eal included) when they've had their behaviour questioned (apparently everybody knows everybody in Turkey and can vouch for the others being legit and Turkish users don't have any alt accounts lol). I've seen things to this effect being said several times by several different Turkish users even when I know for a fact some of them have been lying (though I'm starting to suspect most of them belonged to the same person).
I love how they cry out to racism, which has nothing to do with any of my statements nor the Turkish community/section which I have been referencing (also reaffirms being unable to take any criticism).

Yep. I've been accused of being racist myself but the race card is only pulled when they don't have an argument. I've seen a fair few reports from Turkish users complaining about "racism" over the years. You check the report and it's something along the lines of merely having the word Turkish in there or exposing their alt accounts and they're trying to desperately get it removed on the grounds of it being racist because the person included as evidence that all accounts were Turkish lol.
4868  Economy / Reputation / Re: Untrusted feedback? on: July 13, 2017, 06:13:49 AM
You can only get trusted feedback from people who are on default trust but this isn't something you should seek out. Every single person here has started off in the same boat as you and you build and earn trust over time. Be an active member and do a lot of successful trades or services and you'll likely get that feedback, but your name and reputation will mean more to people around here than a mere trusted green feedback.

4869  Economy / Reputation / Re: Lauda Is a Stirrer and wants the bitcoin community to be fragmented on: July 13, 2017, 06:06:21 AM
Yes, I am Lauda. I am also Quickselller, BadBear,  theymos, tomotacage and the CIA as has been previously alleged amongst others I've forgotten.

And Lauda isn't a female.
4870  Economy / Reputation / Re: Jamal's overwhelming managed altcoin campaign on: July 13, 2017, 06:02:27 AM
There seems to be a couple of campaign managers who are getting greedy and taking on far too many campaigns  and/or users. It's practically impossible to look after a campaign with several hundred users unless you're doing this full time but this has become pretty standard practice for most ico campaigns but even worse is most of them don't even have a manager at all. Poorly run campaigns and their managers (if they even have one) should meet the same fate as sig spammers and be banned if they can't run their campaign adequately.

Have any campaigns Jamal has run not paid out?
4871  Economy / Reputation / Re: Lauda Is a Stirrer and wants the bitcoin community to be fragmented on: July 13, 2017, 05:53:16 AM
I actually agree with Lauda's comments here. The Turkish community does seem to be one massive circle jerk who usually can never take any sort of even vague criticism of themselves (and you can't deny it when you've pathetically created an alt to do exactly this).

Lauda never asked me to put him on default or tag people but in my opinion him not being on default is detrimental to the community but of course scammers and shitposters he's tagged are going to be annoyed hence why you cowardly won't post from one of your main accounts.

I remember the days when Hilariouscando was much active and was no afraid of doing a lot of work but as being promoted he is lazy and takes work as granted. It is not the question on Hilarious work but his act of including a scoundrel in DT back is very bad.

What evidence do you have of me being lazy or less active because I'm not sure you could possibly know how much work I do behind the scenes.
4872  Economy / Reputation / Re: hilariousandco and hilariousetc on: July 13, 2017, 05:34:22 AM
As a general rule I usually ignore troll threads by cowards who use brand new accounts to hide behind but seeing as I'm going to get 0.00075 per post I'll make an exception and entertain you for as long as you like.

I would only be a hypocrite if I somehow degenerated into an illiterate shitposter spamming nonsense with dozens of accounts. In fact, I've publicly said quite a few times I wouldn't care if somebody had a hundred accounts as long as they made decent posts with them.

Does me being a global mod factor into getting a place on the campaign? Probably, but me being a global mod will factor into a lot of things I get offered here because I'm a prominent and somewhat trusted member. I asked him if there was a spot free for my alt and he said there would be if I applied, but I guess I can be trusted over some random other accounts to make at least somewhat half decent posts so I don't see the issue here.

As others have said, you're very likely just butthurt about having numerous shitposting accounts banned. Having two isn't against the rules and that account was originally created to use mainly on connections I didn't trust but I don't really use it anymore, but if I can use it to get paid a little extra a month and rank it up to Hero in the process then so be it.
4873  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Series and films in which Bitcoin appears (Collection Thread) on: July 13, 2017, 05:15:15 AM
It's in the plot of the FilmCow film Detective Heart of America: The Final Freedom https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1F1YyDPZLX8

There's a couple of other films and TV shows I've seen it mentioned in this year but I can't recall them off the top of my head.

Why not? You can buy it on DVD and it has its own imdb page so I think that's good enough:

4875  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin prices may hit $1 billion - Fox Business Speculates on: July 07, 2017, 10:30:51 AM
Bitcoin has more chance of going to zero than a billion.

no it doesn't!
the chances of hitting zero or ever going low to a small price is so small that it is nearly zero.

And you base this on what exactly? Bitcoin could easily fall by the wayside if a better functioning currency begins to dominate and that has way more likelihood of happening than going to a billion. There's no reason why it couldn't disappear like many failed at coins have so if there's no demand and a better alternative is available that could easily happen. You're a fool if you think bitcoin is indestructible or has little to no chance of becoming worthless. Even if bitcoin gained mainstream adoption worldwide and you could spend it practically anywhere you'd be lucky to get anywhere near 1 million never mind a billion.
4876  Other / Meta / Re: Account farming. Allowed? on: July 07, 2017, 10:12:06 AM
In theory I agree with people being allowed to have multiple accounts if they want to keep certain opinions or business separate from their main/known account but people have massively abused the rule that you can have as many accounts as you wish. This is one reason why I suggested we should remove signatures from rank and make people pay a fee for them. This will instantly stop such industrial scale account farming. At the moment if somebody wants 1000 accounts they can easily create them all for free. Use a bot to copy and paste content and you can rank them all up with no time or effort wasted on your part whatsoever.
4877  Other / Meta / Re: Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ on: July 07, 2017, 10:04:59 AM
Not necessarily. Customs can seize items to check what they are or because they need to pay taxes on them. What country were they shipped to? That's the only way to confirm if it's legal or not.
4878  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin prices may hit $1 billion - Fox Business Speculates on: July 07, 2017, 09:43:03 AM
None of them said that it will hit $1 billion dollar, so I think the title is misleading. I read the article and watched the video and with the question about hitting $1 billion price the panel didn't answer it directly and just stated that bitcoin can go to the moon. Who knows how much "moon" is, right? Anyway, though it's a positive thing for the holders, I don't think it will happen anytime soon, the price is still in thousand.

Exactly. It's just that shitty crapcoin website trying to grab headlines.

From the article:

Quote
Toward the end of the segment, the discussion shifted to specific price predictions.  Although no one on the panel directly suggested the bitcoin price could reach $1 billion, the Business Alert ticker asked “Bitcoin to reach $1bn?” Payne asked Brockwell whether she agreed that it could reach $1 million, to which she replied it can go “to the moon.”

Even more relevant:

Quote
For bitcoin to reach $1 billion, it would need to experience a 38,491,100% increase from its current $2,598 mark. This would give bitcoin a very respectable $16 quintillion market cap given the current supply.

Bitcoin has more chance of going to zero than a billion.
4879  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A big food delivery service is accepting Bitcoin in Germany on: July 07, 2017, 09:16:20 AM
I always fear many companies will just stop offering it as am option eventually because I can't imagine them getting much business in bitcoin.

Its possible but assuming they use a service to convert it then it won't cost them much if anything to keep offering it as an alternative.

True,  but I have actually seen at least one company stop offering it due to lack of interest (though I can't recall which one right now). Though I agree offering it isn't going to hurt and will always either get them some free publicity as well as pique people's interest in btc once they see that they accept it as payment.
4880  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin cannot replace currency in the world because price is not stable on: July 07, 2017, 09:08:51 AM
It might not be stable now but there's no reason why it can't stabilise in the future. Bitcoin is still relatively new and unheard of idea to most of the world so it will likely just be seen as a risky speculative investment for a while yet but that can easily change over time.

Bitcoin is a long way from becoming a currency you can live your life in. You also only have 7 transactions a second. But that doesn't mean Bitcoin isn't immensely valuable as a medium-term and long-term store of value

This can and will be changed. Bitcoin can scale to meet the demands of growth (though getting consensus is a different matter).
