4862  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Corona virus (COVID19) Effect in Cryptocurrency Gambling on: May 20, 2020, 12:25:38 PM
effects of coronavirus is an impact on all industries including gambling for all kinds of sports have stopped this led to a game betting on gambling stopped all this makes gambling less attractive again to make betting on platform betting this effect affect all types of jobs throughout the country.
It will not be less attractive if the betting is done in online, maybe the sports will lose their income from the people who usually go in the venue since if they will resume, they will do it without a crowd but that would make the sports betting industry live again, because people can still watch live online and gamble at the same time.
4863  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Mayor Wants to Re-open Casinos. Thoughts? on: May 20, 2020, 12:07:53 PM
there will be a surge in corona-positive patients if the las vegas are reopened...
it will not be able to open, as usual, we all know that las vegas are very crowded, thousands of people gather and it will be difficult to keep their distance, there needs to be an innovation if you want to reopen las vegas.

There is always a measure that will be put in place, don't expect that you will see the same crowd when the casino will be reopen, just like a department stores or malls open even at the pandemic, they will also make some extreme measures to ensure there will be no spread once they will re open.

I am not against anyone who are concern with the pandemic, but the economy will die if it will not be well balance.
4864  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Corona virus (COVID19) Effect in Cryptocurrency Gambling on: May 20, 2020, 11:25:20 AM

Most of us who gamble for crypto will continue with that, we will not return to fiat gambling, and for sure we are not coming back to physical casinos. Corona can't touch us!

Some would still gamble in physical casinos as online gambling gives different than gambling in a physical casinos, especially if a gambler is really investing his time more in physical casinos, even if the virus is still here but the casinos will open, I'm sure a lot of people will do the usual things they do.

However, for fiat online gambling, I think crypto gambling is better, I was once a fiat online gambler but when I tried crypto gambling, I never come back in fiat since I find crypto gambling easy and it's competitive to fiat gambling sites as well.
4865  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling hiding, rules ignored. on: May 20, 2020, 10:53:55 AM
In fact, not only gambling and at least lockdown itself is a rule that must be done or obeyed now, but these rules are even violated by some people in a country. Physical gambling is still very likely to be done because of the impact of the closure of the company or their place of work which resulted in them continuing to gamble and more precisely traditional gambling in the neighborhood around me stayed still active every night.
These people who are gambling are regular gambler, it's already in their blood and the fact that they violated the law just to gamble, it seems like they already have a problem like a gambling addiction. Whether they have a job or not, these people will still gamble.
4866  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Sugarexchange, failed or scam? on: May 20, 2020, 07:51:37 AM
Is this exchange even existing?

No data can be found here- https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/sugar-exchange/.. and we are talking of 2 years already?
4867  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IMF: The rise of digital currencies on: May 20, 2020, 07:21:56 AM
Too long to read, but hey, I think IMF is right that the rise of digital currencies is happening and that includes crypto as well.

Digital currency makes transaction faster and safer against any virus and this would be the time that crypto regulation will just improve as we know how the government works, they always like everything to follow their system, decentralized per blockchain but we are not totally anonymous here as KYC in every platform that involve fiat will always be required by the authorities.
4868  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING ]: Fury vs Wilder III in Las Vegas on 18th July 2020 !!! on: May 20, 2020, 06:52:13 AM
Some updates, Bob Arum says that the fight might be held outside of US and UK. And there are two countries that is willing to stage the fight, (I reckon one is Saudi Arabia). And it will be PPV as usual, but if ever the fights are going to push through this year with still the pandemic up in the air (no pun intended), boxing fans are going to see the fight live, reason? there's so much money to be made here.

https://www.boxingscene.com/arum-third-fury-wilder-fight-probably-held-outside-us-uk--148979

The fans will probably be watching the fight live on TV and not as live audience. Well, depending on the circumstances in July. But if the COVID infection is still rising until that time, it will probably be a fight without live cheers and boos. That would be a little bit awkward, one which looks like a sparring match. And Fury might be a little sad not to be able to enjoy the company of the crowd, which he usually does.

The PPV proceeds might compensate very well for the ticket sales, though.

This is true, there is no competition at the moment, the world is looking at boxing and UFC only since other popular sports are still on pause right now.
Maybe, they will get a bigger PPV compared to the last two fights and hopefully we will see a very close fight if ever Wilder will lose again.
4869  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the safest crypto online games to start if you are a Newbie? on: May 19, 2020, 11:25:02 PM
If you noticed then this topic is about the most safest game for beginners. How can a dice be a safe game? This is a simple game and it is very addictive. In it, you can make a huge number of bets in a short period of time = long distance = inevitable loss. I think this game is one of the most dangerous for beginners.
You misread, what I meant was dice is an easy game to play. Sports betting is a difficult game for beginner to play.

Profitable or ease of playing are different terms. Dice is easier to play than sports betting and Sports betting is more profitable than dice for those who are willing to give time to do analysis on teams players, past games and so on.

That is why gamblers who are looking for the rush go with something that is easy to do and quick results are obtained, which is dice. Those who are comfortable with sports will wait to do their analysis and continue doing it for placing their bet which will take time.

This is somewhat true to an extent, but the odds for sportsbetting are adjusted by bookies so that the risk incurred is proportional to the payout. You know who's favored, you know who's the underdog, and your potential winnings take all this into account. Dice is a simplistic bare bones system of gambling and sports betting uses the same system but attaches athletes to the mix.

Dice is more like a probability and you can't change the house edge regardless of how to adjust your percentage or chances in every roll.
In sports its difference, sometimes you see an odds that is favorite where you think the odds of a certain team is undervalued or overvalued, so you'll go for the undervalued one and get the best odds, there's no such thing like that in dice.
4870  Economy / Economics / Re: The unfortunate event that is Quarantine. on: May 19, 2020, 11:04:34 PM
Quarantine kills the business around us. Recently I read that a huge number of airlines can go bankrupt, because many campaigns fly on airplanes that are leased (leased). And while they put down at the airports, money for leasing continues to accumulate.

And imagine how big the lease they are in contract, without operation, they can't make an income.
No travel policy now is strictly impose, especially on international flights so it will really kill them if the lessor will still insist to collect the lease even if we are under the situation that the operation was force stop due to the covid-19, I don't know how the government would be able to help that since airline company is also vital for us once this pandemic will be over.
4871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about investing in Eos on: May 19, 2020, 11:45:21 AM
hello, i was wondering if Eos can be a good investment for the future ? what are your thoughts ?

Of course, why not... EOS has been known as a major altcoins which is a good contender be in the top.
Look at its trading volume, its top 5 in the market now, though it's not yet hype now but it could pump like in the past, consider this coin as a sleeping giant.
4872  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will reach an astronomical all-time new high. on: May 19, 2020, 11:24:19 AM
The halving expectations are over now it's time to focus on other things, I am really excited to see the BTC price movements after this halving while writing the price is 9789$ isn't it a great thing.

BTC has hidden potentials as well Grin people were hoping a massive price in halving but it has started to shine after the Halving is a real shock to everyone. I hope the price will increase significantly.

Nah, the potential is not hidden, people are aware of its potential and that is the reason why bitcoin is currently valued already at a very high price compared to its inception price, it's just up to us if we believe it or not.
4873  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Betting this June? on: May 19, 2020, 10:14:54 AM
If they get things right in the first fight, then absolutely, more sanctions fight are going to be next in line.

Definitely, the promoter has to ensure everything will work based on the guidelines the government has impose, otherwise, our dream of seeing a boxing event again in live TV will be gone again. I will support this one, though some of the players I am not familiar with, but I will try to excite myself with them by making some research since as of the moment, this is better than nothing at all.
4874  Economy / Economics / Re: The unfortunate event that is Quarantine. on: May 19, 2020, 09:49:10 AM
Indeed that the government need to step up considering those who are less fortunate. Though I have experience the burden caused by the quarantine, now jobless, lockdown away from family, with current bills and still counting, I do also think about those who have less than what I have.
Somehow I can manage to eat 2-3meals a day. How about them.

Even if I can't manage to earn my usual income if I will be truly affected by the crisis, mate, I can't allow my family to just eat 2 times a day, they'll not able to maintain their healthy body, I will make sure they can eat 3 times a day.
4875  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you keep track of your gambling? how? on: May 19, 2020, 09:21:42 AM
Gambling has only become a non sense thing to you because you are not addicted, but try to gamble and be responsible for the 2nd time around and I am sure you will enjoy what you are doing. Just like you, I also made some mistakes in the past, I got addicted, but it doesn't make me stop, instead I learn and I can enjoy gambling now with proper control.

I think I would agree with this, everyone has different experience in gambling but if we look at in general sense, we can see that gambling is just a real form of entertainment with some risk on it, so it's up to us on how to we handle the risk that we will not be addicted or lose more than we can afford to lose.

I have been gambling and i am not winning most of the time but I can tell you that I am happy with what I am doing.

I have consider it as an entertainment, so its something I have to pay just to enjoy, winning is just a bonus.

Those words that I have highlighted if gamblers will think like that then surely they will not be addicted.
What makes a gambler addicted is when they challenge themselves and they are so optimistic despite the fact that their chance of winning is very low.
When you think of entertain that you will just have to spend to enjoy, you'll not long to win big money and to win consistently, the risk is lower with this.

As long as you have that kind of mentality, you'll never lose more in gambling because when you gamble, you'll always be at your own range.
Believe me, that is effective, and it's proven by ME.  Grin
4876  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering More or Wagering Less on: May 19, 2020, 08:23:27 AM
If I was given the option to play at a gambling with no bonus/promotions but a trusted site, I will choose it on a site which is new and not trusted but given a lot of promotions.
If there are two trusted sites and one is giving more bonus, I will not leave the site only for the bonus where i am used to play.

That's your choice, everyone has but for me I'll never risk my money playing in a new site even if they have a lot of good promotion, maybe because I am not actively participating in bonuses or promotions, I just want to have fun and gamble during my free time.
4877  Economy / Economics / Re: Crisis after the epidemic on: May 19, 2020, 08:04:51 AM
I agree that there will be a recovery phase that will take a long time, I agree with that, but I do not believe in the notion that there is some people behind this. Nobody really gained anything from this, check the whole world, who is in profit right now? Who is doing better? Nobody is doing better, hence nobody did this.

Definitely it could be manmade who knows, but even if it was manmade, it wasn't to release and kill people, it was probably some science trial that went wrong and thats about it, I do not believe it was anything else. Recovery will of course happen, what are we expecting, everyone to die and no money left in the world and just ruled by animals with no humans? Of course there will be recovery, but the longer it takes the more people it affects.

The recovery phase is going to take longer than expected.
Till the end of 2020 we are going to see a huge downturn that possibly is going to continue in the beginning of 2021.
So if the crisis is going to end, this will happen around mid-2021.

We don't to see this but we have to be realistic in the future.
A lot of business has been close down already because of covid-19 and in every business, there's a lot of employees counting on it and they will be jobless.

This happened already, it looks like the world will struggle for at least a year.
4878  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: May 19, 2020, 03:22:04 AM
Almost freaking 4 times the expected auction price.
Wow! A big WOW!
https://nypost.com/2020/05/17/michael-jordan-game-worn-air-jordans-sell-for-record-560000/
Damn, that's crazy price, but is also smart decision by seller, The Last Dance generated a lot of hype around MJ once again. Since he bought those sneakers back in 2012, he probably made a nice profit on them. Buyer probably sees it as an investment, as those things are usually  bought for that purpose.

A wise move to the buyer too.
Buy it while its cheap.
In 10 - 20 years than might double the price or maybe more. As long as the authenticity is safe then he will have no problem at all.

I tried to not read the last part of your posts Rika.
My instincts tell me that it will be another spoiler from the first line of it.  Grin

I can't believe such sneakers will value that high, oh my God $560,000 just for a sneakers, I would not even but it at $1000,, seriously... my shoes is just around $100 and less, but I understand it's MJ but I just can't believe people are willing to spend that much.
4879  Economy / Speculation / Re: The excitement is over, what's next? on: May 18, 2020, 11:27:28 PM
Still there is no clear sign whether the price will move upwards or in the downwards, it just keep dancing for now from $9300-$9800.

Hope it will clear the barrier of $10K resistance level soon.

Depending on how you see it.

Sometimes as an investor, we are looking the same thing but we are seeing it differently, and just like a trader, we may have different interpretation on the current price movement, that's why its called a guessing game as no clear sign but we keep guessing.

It's a guessing game for traders and speculators, for us long-term holders it's just daily volatility! I don't bother
myself with that, and I don't agree with the headline! Excitement is not over, in crypto-currencies you have big
rises and drops every month, but this halving made many people to excited, in my opinion it's just FOMO. Most
of us here that true excitement will be next year.

That's just a small FOMO if there is really a FOMO, we've surpass that $10,000 already last year, so it's not a big thing that we rise at that level and therefore bitcoin is not likely going to dump, it might be stable this year but hopefully there's some big improvement we will see this year from last year.
4880  Economy / Economics / Re: The unfortunate event that is Quarantine. on: May 18, 2020, 10:46:57 PM
The problem of unemployment due to Kovid is really very acute but ..~snip~

First its not kovid but Covid, and the problem is not acute because the WHO declared it as a pandemic and its effect is global that is why we have a global crisis right now, if you are reading and watching news about this current situation, you'll not be happy with what is happening with our economy right now.

We will rise again from this pandemic situation. Our ancestors had experienced a lot of outbreaks before and here we are, humanity is still alive. I believe health institutions will do their best to combat this pandemic as soon as possible. We are already in digital age and advanced technology, so I am very optimistic that we will conquer this crisis very soon.

I am positive with that, some countries are already hinting us about the vaccine which they will release soon, and this will be the only solution to the problem so we can start working again to revive or to help our economy to recover. I am just saddened to see a lot of business closing due to this pandemic, but that's business, there's always the risk but this time is really a serious risk as it's worst than a calamity.
