If china creates their own cryptocurrency I believed its for a purpose I won't agree this gonna cancel bitcoin and the other cryptos after successfully launching I hope its gonna be trade-able with the likes of BTC, ETH, LTC, BCH and other major cryptos thus another profit making coin for crypto traders hopefully it volume traded daily will be huge based on the enormous population of China although centralized that shouldn't pose any threat to bitcoin.

Bitcoin just made a sudden or abrupt rise hours ago and it reached more than $10,000 before settling at around $9000 as of the moment. Now, I am actually so excited and happy for this development as I also have some Bitcoin hidden somewhere. However, i am a little worried that this very volatile move can be bringing some damage to its overall reputation as a store of value and a future global currency.
Is my concern really valid in the face of this ongoing development?
Not much worried frankly speaking as prices have shown growth rate after a long time which indicates pump in the market soon when prices can cross $15k but we might see another correction in between these period which will be followed by the price surges again which is market strategy so we don't need to worry anything. Just be happy,patient and hodl until prices reach your satisfactory level. This shouldn't be surprise to early bitcoin adopters they are used to the sudden and abrupt rise in the price of bitcoin, most of us here are more to the use of bitcoin as a store of value and having access and control over our portfolio rather than allow a third party to control it, I believed the price had resumed the bullish sentiment and growth after a prolong correction as you rightly said the price might hit $15K before the end of the year. let us patiently wait for the price to resume another wave of bullish movement. |

Many of those 80% of day traders were truly newbies in trading and that was part of my mistake. I jumped immediately to day trading. I should've sticked to long-term trading so that I can grab the fundamentals of the market while I am earning at the same time. Those 6% inside 13% of those who continued trading could've already panicked. I could see that back from 2017 to present. PS. You can move this thread to Trading Discussion though since it isn't specifically for Bitcoin anyway. Those 80% newbies have the mindset of becoming rich within the shortest period of time not minding the learning process of becoming a good trader also they trade without a good money management even with fairly profitable strategy a good money management will be profitable in a long run while I agreed with OP on his statistical analysis of why 95% traders fails. |

I would recommend these three things for day trading 1. learn Technical Analysis and fundamental analysis ( working trading strategy) 2. Device a good money management to manage your losses well after deploying your strategy with a good risk to reward ratio at least 2:1 3. Personally I would recommend manual trading I wouldn't deploy Bot or Expert ad-visor for trading. |

Buying and accumulating of bitcoin is more of investing in it at least I wouldn't worry about any savings in my bank I feel secured with my bitcoin in my wallet and I am having access to it at any time. I'm pretty sure they will hide it, or will tell stories when they have success like "this also needs a struggle" or "at first I was also having a hard time". in trading, losing is not a secret anymore, even professional traders will experience difficulties when prices become unstable. it's like successful people have their sad stories, but we only know them when they have success. trading is something that is uncertain, losing or winning it often happens.
Some so-called fraudulent experts who sells trading signals do hide their loses rather displayed or possibly Photoshopped exorbitant profits to deceive unsuspecting new traders of course a newbie trader will easily fall for this tricks however their are some credible and trusted experts traders that shows their losses having managed their trades with a perfect money management and probably trading with a strategy that has a good reward to risk ratio. |

I follow some rules. Am not sure if they will work you for everyone but these are the basics.
1. Keep it simple. Once I tried to gather as much info before start trading. Many indicators, many news, vast analysis made me paralyzed to trade.
2. Avoid crypto trading on weekend and Friday too. Instead enjoy the holidays.
3. Never do Revenge trading, you will only trade whenever you have proper mindset.
4. Never love any asset, emotional trading will kill your investment.

Why are you disappointed in altcoin price? did you bought some altcoins in the highest price? you are not the only one who disappointed in this condition in the market, just keep hold the price will increase, unless if you hold a shit coins then that is disappointing.
In this situation there is no other choice but to continue to Hold, because the price of Altcoin is very much different from the price we bought at the time. It's disappointing, but we must be really ready if there is a market situation like now. Hold is always be the last choice for us. I don't know which of the altcoin are you refering to is it ETH, LTC or BCH or XRP these coins pumped with bitcoin their movement correlates with that of bitcoin maybe the OP is referring to shit coins whose projects are not well defined as far as altcoins is concerned these are the major ones that worth investing in else investing in an unknown and with little potential coin is very risky. |

See we all are optimistic about btc growth and we all want to see price pump in the market as we are above $9500 and $20k might not be possible by the year end as we have entered last quarter of this year and only 2 months have left for it so we can excpet that prices can reach $12-$15k if everything goes in favour of btc.Hope we see this soon. If by the end of year price stood above $12K I believed its a good price considering the fact that earlier in the year the price was $3K+ as it is now the price had made a remarkable bullish movement so far however I wouldn't agree that the price will reach $20K by the end of the year except if there is a catalyst in form of positive fundamental that will trigger the bullish movement else the price will continue with its consolidation. |
