4881  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reducing scam on: December 15, 2018, 03:52:26 PM
I don't think the government's furious approach to ICO regulation is the best way to get rid of scams. To implement the search for good projects, it is necessary to create an intermediary organization that will be independent of the government, but will provide arbitration services and protection of ICO investors.
ICO regulation might just stop some of the scammers who are fake developing the project. But what about other normal people who scams through various ways? They need to be stopped, but the only was is to be careful. If you involve an intermediary organization, you are just making the system somewhat centralized. This also causes issue for those who want to stay private. We just need to bring out a better solution.
4882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty Campaigns. on: December 15, 2018, 03:44:33 PM
I can still receive some tokens from the bounty, but this opportunity is less than 5%, and many events disappear without any news!
If it is less than 5%, then why are you even joining those campaigns and wasting 95% of your time. You could be doing something more productive with those time. You would have earned more or at least something if you focused your activity on doing something better. Joining those campaigns only encourages more scammers to scam people. Just stay away from them and let them die slowly.
4883  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How scammers can steal your tokens on: December 15, 2018, 03:08:47 PM
Crypto community needs to be vigilant all the time against these scammers and thieves, mostly they can contact you through telegram or email and they will try to get your personal details and data, so never fill out any links or forms they send you and also never click their links, secondly always use a strong and unique password for your wallet and keep your secret key at a safe and secure place and never share it with any one else.
If a random person contacts someone through email/telegram/facebook asking for his personal and crucial info and that person replies and falls for the scam, then that guy really deserves to get scammed. You do dumb stuffs, you pay for it.
Just using a strong password for your wallet won't help. You will have to keep your computer secured too.
4884  Economy / Economics / Re: The European Parliament called for speeding up the integration of blockchain on: December 15, 2018, 02:33:33 PM
Members of the European Parliament called for measures to accelerate the integration of blockchain into the sphere of trade between the EU countries. This is stated in the relevant resolution of the representative body.

The document is called "Blockchain: promising trade policy". It outlines possible ways to improve the effectiveness of EU trade policies, including free trade agreements and mutual recognition.

According to representatives of the European Parliament, the blockchain can increase the level of transparency of supply chains and the efficiency of trade operations, reduce costs, counter corruption and tax evasion, and can also improve data security. The key problems in the implementation of all these areas remain cybersecurity issues.

In addition, blockchain increases efficiency and simplifies the process of verification of trading participants. Small and medium-sized enterprises can also benefit from the use of new technology, which, inter alia, through smart contracts increases the efficiency of business processes and the security of payments.

Recently, seven European countries — Cyprus, France, Greece, Italy, Malta, Portugal and Spain — signed a Memorandum on the support and promotion of blockchain technologies.

source forklog.com
Cyber security issue? I don't think is the actual problem. I thought blockchain was one of the most secured technology that is almost impossible to penetrate. They can actually use this technology since it is more reliable and can easily help to protect data and fraudulent activity. Just read about those SWIFT and other bank hacks. They sound extremely ridiculous.
4885  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Really good source for betting! on: December 15, 2018, 02:24:13 PM
Okay, I went through all of the posts in the channel. There are only 28 people, the chat is quite new, you are not even the source of betting tips. The source won 70/84 games according to the channel. That is still a small amount of games, but there are screenshots that confirm only 5 or so. Moreover, you are asking for 100€+ from the members, and there is even no information on what these people are getting in return!  No guarantees, no messages from other people. Looks really suspicious. If you want to look legit, wait for more tips, provide some free ones, give some information about you so that people can do something if you scan them. Good luck!
Pay $100 to lose more of your money. Roll Eyes Roll Eyes And those screenshots might be fake too. Just some typical scamming strategy and also those who are extremely dumb falls for it.
You guys should know that there is no such thing as betting strategy. The results are always random but in the long run it is the house that remains unbeaten.
4886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some unique advantages of online gambling ? on: December 15, 2018, 02:22:00 PM
Yes, I only know if casino places only limit age and there seems to be no regulation that requires visitors to wear formal clothes such as suits, safaris, neat shirts etc. So I'm sure they are free to visit and there may only be an age limit for them, online gambling is freedom for all and everyone can remain anonymous there.
Sorry to say, but there are age restrictions on online casinos. You are probably not aware of that. Read their Terms of Service and you will see that they do not allow people to gamble who are under certain age. Varies from site to site. You probably played only on crypto currency based online casinos where they do have age restriction but can not verify since most of those casino does not need you to verify your identity.
If it was some fiat based casino, you would get an instant ban.
4887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to get people to use your Cryptocurrency on: December 15, 2018, 02:11:45 PM
Creating a product (cryptocurrency) isn't easy and getting people to use your product is JUST as difficult. So far we've done Airdrops, Affiliate Programs, Social Media sharing, and Press Releases, with the marketing strategy all explained here https://medium.com/@XIF_Official/x-infinity-marketing-strategy-getting-merchants-and-consumers-onboard-34e2218aaa54. Our company has created a cryptocurrency wallet/ debit card linked with MasterCard so you can use it to buy a cup of coffee or go grocery shopping with based in South East Asia. For an AltCoin like this, how would you guys go about reaching out to real users?
Heavy promotion is all you need. You will need to fix a good amount of budget for promoting your project. Press release was a good idea. But since your project is mainly focusing on South East Asian people, you will also need to move your promotion and focus mainly towards them. The Social Media sharing won't actually help much (I am talking about paying people to share post, comment, tweet etc.) since most of them just use fake profile, i guess you who what I meant.
Try promoting your project using the help of some other platform, like promote your project on well known SEA blogs, news press and forum. Show what you guys have to offer them.
4888  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin even work in our current system? on: December 14, 2018, 08:34:34 PM
Bitcoin is well develop. we are in the world of computer where everything we want to be in  an instant.
Money trasfer is good. though government wants to stop it as bitcoin innovation gets into the danger zone!
what is danger zone? it is the time where FIAT want to be replace by new currency which government cannot accept and not ready!
You have just confined your thoughts to a single part of the world. You do realize that there are other parts of the world that are highly lacking behind technology. Think about them. They do not have regular access to the computer or the internet. If fiat was eliminated from the world, what will happen to those underdeveloped countries. They will just start suffering more!
4889  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto debit card for FIAT payments - would you use one? on: December 14, 2018, 08:25:50 PM
Hello,
I'm here to explore the demand for crypto debit card.

The basics behind it is actually very simple:
1. You own some crypto funds on your account on an exchange (crypto/FIAT markets) that has partnered with a debit card provider. You'd have to identify yourself (pass KYC).
2. You get the card. It is a basic mastercard  debit card for FIAT payments. No magic.
3. When you use it, it automatically exchanges your crypto to FIAT based on the amount you're spending. You would even be able prioritize the order in which your crypto is to be exchanged the first, the second, etc.

So, would you use one?
If yes, would such service motivate you enough to open an account on the exchange that is not (yet) one of the TOP ones?

Disclaimer: I'm a business owner in a position to offer such service. Knowing your opinion would help me a lot. So, thanks in advance!
I would say, your business would work temporarily and not feasible in the long run (assuming crypto currencies become mainstream). Why would people want to use debit card which spends their crypto currencies to make payments? What is would be the difference between traditional debitcard and crypto currency based debit card? Moreover, would this destroy the main purpose of using crypto currencies (i am talking about centralization)?
4890  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No Christmas gifts this year, all my money in Bitcoin on: December 14, 2018, 04:07:00 PM
Who's with me?
Or you could go to some online shop that accepts crypto currencies to buy some goodies for your Christmas! It is just another kind of excitement to buy things using crypto currencies. Trust me. Moreover, you will also be supporting those online shops that are accepting crypto currencies. Don't loose the Christmas spirit!  Smiley  Wink
4891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: cryptocurrency or stock market. on: December 14, 2018, 12:55:19 PM
There is no such thing as best option. Both has risk. If you are willing to risk high, then go crypto currencies. Stock market also has its own risk, but it is more controlled that is less riskier compared to crypto currencies. If you want to play safe, go for stock market. Less risk, but also less return compared to crypto currencies.
4892  Economy / Economics / Re: Starbucks drops hint at plans to accept Bitcoin on: December 13, 2018, 10:45:57 PM
Well if it's TRUE it's a very good news to every people that always buy a coffee in Starbucks and its not surprising because many stores are accepting bitcoin as a payment. But of course it's a good news because theres another store are open for crypto or bitcoin.
It is not true. This is an old news and as far as i know, they are not accepting bitcoins directly. Instead they are acting as a flagship retailer for a company. I don't actually remember the name of the company. The company will helps users to convert their bitcoin to traditional fiat currency. So, if you buy a coffee at startbucks you will actually be paying in fiat using that company to convert your bitcoin.
4893  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Ethereum: Which is the Future Cryptocurrency on: December 13, 2018, 10:36:28 PM
Why do we have to decide which coin will be the future? The whole crypto currencies concept can be the future monetary system. This means that, no fixed coin will be dominating the market. Every legit coins such as bitcoin and ethereum will be used side by side. People will use coins that they are comfortable with.
Bitcoin and Ethereum are two different coins which offer different features. Thus we can not say one coin is superior than the other.
4894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is the FINAL on: December 13, 2018, 09:43:45 PM
Every month or so, new altcoins get listed to crypto exchanges

But I do not see their "intention" of getting listed in this situation of the market.

What is the point? They are becoming more and more worthless, even up to 0.0007$ or so?

If i overview the technological aspects, most of them are data platforms, service platforms, or reverse-ICOs.

I mean, is Blockchain technology even going to develop further so that it can be commercialized and standardized?

Its an open decentralized market. So those new altcoins will keep on popping up. If one coin dies, we will see another popping up until it dies. The cycle goes on. There is nothing much we can do rather than just ignore those coin and move on. The more people will ignore, the faster those scam coins will die.
4895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China is the leader of the blockchain? on: December 13, 2018, 06:23:40 PM
Blockchain is just a technology. How come there be a leader of a technology? Moreover blockchain does not mean crypto currencies. Crypto currencies uses this technology to function itself. The Chinese investing on blockchain technology (probably for research purpose) does not mean that the price of the current coins will start to increase.
4896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The key reason for gambling on: December 13, 2018, 03:22:57 PM
Those who are saying people gamble for fun and entertainment purpose, think more clearly. If you actually wanted to gamble for "fun" then why are they spending their real life money? There are lots on casino games out there which are free to play. You basically gamble with virtual coins that has no value. Why not play those games for fun? We all know, they do it just for the money.
4897  Economy / Economics / Re: China says rejecting physical cash is illegal amid e-payments popularity on: December 13, 2018, 01:01:15 PM
Probably some business started to accept only e-payments over there and some what are being forced to use those online system which has become a huge problem for common people. Not sure though, just something that popped up in my mind. Anyways, this does not mean that paying through e-payment system has been made illegal. People can still use both online and cash system to make their payments. It is just that the business will have to accept cash when offered.
4898  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: More and more Scam projects on: December 12, 2018, 10:13:31 PM
Do not rush to join new projects. Spend enough time to study them. Believe me, it is much better to do it right away than to lose time by participating in bounty campaigns or money invested in fraudulent projects.
There are also projects out there that looked totally legitimate, but in the end, they ended up scamming people or failed or changed rules that disappointed the users. Honestly, it is best to spend your time else where instead of promoting an ICO. The pay you get is not worth the waiting and the hard work. Do something else and you will be rewarded in a better way.
4899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coin Acceptance. on: December 12, 2018, 10:03:46 PM
I believe that less than 1% of currently available tokens and coins will be used in 10 years (maybe even in 5 years).  This crypto winter will wipe out hundreds of tokens. That's why is so important to choose good tokens to hodl.
Hundreds of tokens and coins will be wiped out and another hundred might be introduced into the market. Now a days, it is quite easy to make a clone of other coins. A random developer can make a coin in few seconds sitting on his basement. Again, a coin might pop up which might end up being the ultimate solution of every other problems we are facing. This does not mean that other coins will end up dying. They will all be used side by side. You just have to make sure that the coins you are investing on are legit.
4900  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I am just Dumping all my altcoins! on: December 12, 2018, 09:07:32 PM
Well I have no more patience in holding it so I decided to dump all the altcoins listed in an exchange in a low price. I have been accepting already that I loss already in investing those altcoins. Because we are now in the peak season of the year 2018 and cryptocurrency market seem nothing to have gone good and I have also some needs to meet for the holidays so I sold all the altcoins. I will just check later on if cryptocurrency will going to be back at its normal market.
Then whats the use of the checking if the market is back to normal or not? You already dumped your coins. You have nothing to check anymore. Would even be better if you don't be involved into the market anymore. You will just end up regretting for selling your coins if you see the price rising back. Assuming you dumped the coin believing that the price will fall down more, if you still want to get involved into the market, then rebuy what you sold when the price is at its bottom peak point.
