4901  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Samsung partnered with Gemini on: May 29, 2020, 10:47:24 PM
So, it can be said that Gemini is the 1st U.S. exchange that integrates with the great Samsung Blockchain Wallet, right? It is a very good step forward done by Gemini. Moreover, this exchange is listed on CMC rank 58, by this way, it can probably help Gemini to step forward to the higher rank. However, it only limits on the S10 & S20 series.

The integration of the applications allows the user to:
1. Buy crypto, sell, and also trade them easily on the app.
2. Store the crypto directly and self-custody on the Samsung Galaxy Phone,
3. Transfer the crypto into cold storage.

I read an article that said:
Quote
Samsung Blockchain users in the U.S. and Canada can now connect to Gemini’s mobile app to buy, sell, and trade crypto after the companies built an integration between the two applications.
Does it mean that only users from the U.S and Canada who can use this? What's about users from other countries? Does it mean we cannot use it?

4902  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Despite Many Participants, You Can Still Get Huge Rewards In Bounty. on: May 28, 2020, 10:58:18 PM
Many Bounty Hunters Are Increasing Daily On A Regular Basis Thereby Causing Many Hunters Feels Reluctant Of Participating In Nowaday Bounties Because Of Low And Unappreciated Rewards.
Do the bounty participants still increase that much in this year? I think that the participants were so increasing only in 207 and 2018, while after 2019 until now, they are decreasing because of the rewards that they got are very less.

Campaigns Managed By Bounty Detective Seems To Be Stressful Because Of Its Long Duration Of 12 Weeks And At The End Hunters Still Getting Poor Rewards Of $5, Lol.
I think it is not only this BM. Getting $5 is sometimes a big amount than getting nothing after working for 3 months, waiting for almost a year, and there are nothing changes, suddenly the project is dead. This is often happening and still stand until now.

Commonly, social media involves most participants so that many people only get a few amounts of rewards. On the other hand, some BM also has its own criteria on the article or Youtube, those who have better quality will get more payment.

For the signature campaign itself, if you have a high rank, you may not be worried so deeply because you can get higher stakes. If there are many new members coming, they are lower ranks than you and you can still have more chances to earn more.

However, from whatever the bounties, campaign with BTC payment is the most legit one. So, better to follow this kind of campaign although it needs big efforts to compete with other members.
4903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Vaccine against Covid-19 should be made before sports events will take place? on: May 28, 2020, 10:38:58 PM
Most sports events are halted, suspended, postponed, and canceled because of the pandemic virus for about to 1-2 months now. Within that short period, the damage is serious so I can't imagine if it will take a year or over.

The impact of Covid-19 on sports bet was felt. Many sports bet schedules have been postponed and even canceled because of this pandemic. However, several sports bets are already planning to reopen their sports bets in June. On the contrary, many sports bets are partially retreating even at least September will open again for security. This has been an extraordinary and influential effect on many parties.

a) wait for the vaccine even it will take years, end of the discussion
I think this is very crucial, If waiting for vaccine over the years, it means that sports bet will be dying. I don't think that the sports bet will wait for years to be able to play again. they will try to open the sports bet for some reasons and with notes. Of course, it is done by paying attention to the condition. In this case, as the previous pandemic, this may end along with the condition of the human antibody to be able to against it. And I am sure that now some parties may offer the vaccine as one of the solutions for this pandemic.

b) resume slowly with several considerations such as no audience, limited number of staffs or any important things to do before considering resuming, unless the area or place was heavily affected
This might happen, but is it true without the audience? Or will this batch sport take place online or live streaming? Of course, I'm sure activists and business people in batch sports will not standstill. Especially because this is a business field for many parties. It won't be closed any longer.
4904  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Happens to Miners After Bitcoin Halving? on: May 28, 2020, 10:26:59 PM
I ever read about what happens to miners after Bitcoin halving. Well, some people speculate that the halving may trigger many miners to shut down moreover the block rewards are halved that make few more coins to be mined, while the miners are still increasing probably.
Well, in fact, some miners may close their mining, but some are still working on it. Moreover, this halving also influences the fees of the transactions. As we know, the fee transaction of BTC increases highly after Bitcoin halving. Actually, the increase has been since January 2020. however, the graphic increases so fast in this month. If the fees are increasing, so does it mean that the miners also get more income from every block that they mine? It should help them to get more earning although the block reward is decreased. However, I personally don't know much about the mechanism.

However, I already read about the article by Cointelegraph. They said that there are some reasons why Bitcoin halving will not trigger miner capitulation in a big way. However, the most reason is related to electricity. Electricity fee cost in China is cheaper, worldwide energy is less demand
We all know that most miners are in China. When the cost of electricity in this country ic=s cheaper, then it will not make the miners feel hard to mine again, although the block reward is decreased. The main issue to face so far in mining is the electricity cost. If they can still cover the cost for mining, they will still continue, not shutting down their mining.

In this case, whatever the condition, the miners may suffer when the block reward is decreased. However, they will still move up if the price of the BTC is also increasing significantly. So fr, the price of BTC after halving is still not changing much. It will be mean for mining if the price can go up significantly and highly like the previous halving. Not only for the miners but also for all BTC holders.

4905  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Chinas attack on all coins - next chapter on: May 27, 2020, 10:31:17 PM
...
China always has the reasons to make the crypto holder or player worry about future markets and conditions. Well, it is also the same when we know that more than 50% of miners come from China and when the China government controls all miners and take them for the government, the Bitcoin will be under the control of China. This news can also make us worried.

However, beyond that, we need to understand that crypto does not only depend on China. During this time we are served with a variety of news from the media that makes us worried and then panic. Maybe this is one of the goals. It may be true that China will have a high influence on the development of crypto, like this news. however, I'm personally not sure if crypto will really go down because of the digital currency Yuan. If China government forbids people to have cryto other than the digital Yuan, then the effect is on the market that might be down. But this also won't last long because I'm sure other countries also have a big enough influence to keep convincing that the crypto world is fine. And I'm also not sure if the community will really only focus on 1 cryptocurrency.
4906  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Timing to Hodl tokens is very important. on: May 27, 2020, 10:20:44 PM
...
If we are looking for the token to HODL, I don't think that I will take it only based on the right timing. Well, it may be for the top altcoins or for the old token that has great volume and value on the market. However, for the new token coming from a new project, I will not risk my funds only based on timing. I will preferably choose the token for holding based on these followings at least:
1. Clear Promising Projects
It offers very clear projects, a professional and experienced team that will always make development and progress all the time.
2. Real use case of the project
I will preferably choose the coin that is used for real use cases. We all know that a real use case project will take more than 2 years to grow. With good development, the project can probably be successful. Despite the future will be worthy or not, holding token with a real use case in the future will have more chances to grow than only the usual coin.
3. Token supply, trading volume, and also exchange
These things are also important to be considered. For a new coin to be listed, a good start will definitely make the future better. In this case, preferring to get a coin that is listed on the top exchange will be the priority. Additionally when it has good trading volume with limited token supply. It will be worthier to be invested for a long term even with some risks.
4907  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Those that hate risks! on: May 26, 2020, 04:37:49 PM
You are right. If we want to be successful in trading, we shouldn't be so afraid and even hate the risks. We must know that the risks are always there, they are something unavoidable. The right way isn't being afraid but knows it well how to handle or deal with the risks. We can minimize the chance of getting the risks if we know how to prevent it.
4908  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble to escape your problem? on: May 26, 2020, 04:25:20 PM
Are you one of those people who gamble just to escape your problem? If you are one of them, I just wanna say that gamble will not solve your problem, yes you have escaped the problem but once you are done gambling the problem is still there and you still need to face it.
How can gambling solve our problem? I never heard that problems are fixed because of gambling. Playing gambling is just a way to make us forget the problem temporarily. Because of gambling can make people be fun and relaxed, then it is possible for them to forget it a moment. However, as you said above, the problem is still there and never solved. Escape isn't the right way to solve problems, just face them wisely and bravely as a man.
4909  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Death of the ICO: Has the US SEC Closed the Global Window on New Tokens? on: May 26, 2020, 03:49:16 PM
ICO was booming around 2018. But it significantly decreased in 2019. And this year, 2020, ICO is really heading to dead. Many projects prefer not to use ICO, only a few. We have already known that ICO will mean nothing. It only gains the fundraising, promising for some exchanges, no exchanges, and then dead coins without any clear announcement about the project. Many ICOs face this problem. Most ICOs cannot avoid being shitcoins or failed projects during the fundraising or even after the ICO has ended.

Moreover, many people said that ICO is only a way for the developer team to earn money freely from the investor and get free labor for their promotion. So sad but it is true the real fact.

And about this:
The Death of the ICO: Has the US SEC Closed the Global Window on New Tokens?

I have no intention of discus about it. we do not know whether SEC is really working or bot, getting high rate and value or not. It may be only for the booming time and then it will pass without any people aware of it.
4910  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and COVID on: May 26, 2020, 03:40:27 PM
this pandemic happens before the Bitcoin halving. Actually, the price of BTC keeps increasing because of the hype of Bitcoin halving. However, some moments ago before halving, the pandemic really destroy the global economy. It influences all sectors of life, not only the health sector but also the financial and economy globally. This also influences the crypto world, especially the market price of every crypto, mainly the Bitcoin.

Actually, during this COVID-19, many industries are started to adopt Blockchain technology and it becomes a good way for cryptocurrency as one of the ways to stop spreading the virus because we do not need to touch each other. And what happens to BTC, the price is still volatile, the fee is high because of halving, and the price sometimes keeps increasing. We cannot determine if this is influenced only by COVID-19 but also by the hype of BTC halving. For, everybody expects to meet the high price of BTC in some months following.

Here for me, I am no longer working in a certain industry because of this pandemic. therefore, I only focus on doing jobs in the crypto world.
When participating in the signature campaign with BTC paid, this is likely heaven for me because it can really help us to survive int his pandemic.

In brief, COVID-19 really give big impacts to the world, including Bitcoin.
4911  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Miners are happy, while we suffer? on: May 26, 2020, 03:21:14 PM
Well, yeah. We already know that before and after Bitcoin halving, the fee is highly rising since January. The increase seems significantly related to the blocks for the transactions. The miners can prioritize the transactions that offer higher fees to be done first. Therefore, it means that the transaction fees should be changing and following the needs. Moreover currently, the high fees are also influenced by the heavy usage of the blocks, many people are doing transactions of bitcoin, and also the hype of the pump after halving.

In my opinion, it is fair enough. For, miners will be happy because they will get higher income from the fee of transactions. but, they also may not be happy at all because their reward of the blocks is halved. They lose half of the reward block. Probably, what will be done right now is the fee may be increasing again if there is still so heavy transaction usage.
4912  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When you do think you can start betting in sportsbook again? on: May 26, 2020, 03:05:07 PM
During the Covid-19 pandemic, many gambling industries are closed, especially sportsbooks that always involve so many people directly in one place. It really gives a big impact on the owner, holder, industry, players, and also gamblers including all parties related to the sportsbook. The rule must be obligated. They are closed. However, as the OP said that some sportsbook industry will reopen again their sportsbook although that is still in the pandemic.

1.  PGA Tour
This is scheduled to open around June 11. They will continue the tournaments in Fort Worth, Tex. However, some other major PGA Tours will reschedule the tournaments longer than it should be. Some of them will be extended at least until September 2020, or the other is canceled.

2. NBA
While NBA nd two other NHL and MLB will also have interesting ways to still continue the tournaments. The way is by gathering the team on the stadium but without any audience or fans of course directly.

And many more.

Actually, seeing the most sportsbooks are closed or postponed due to this COVID-19. As reported on the Betfair website. Almost all sportsbooks from football, basketball, golf, cricket, and many others are postponed.

To prevent being stressed, much online sports betting try to resolve the problem. The way is by joining in the online sportsbook. However, the result may not be satisfying because it is something different.

4913  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the different multi cryptocurrency wallets for staking cryptos? on: May 26, 2020, 02:45:59 PM
There are few wallets that I am aware of like Atomic wallet, trust wallet, Tezos, and ledger.
Ledger has become a very popular multicurrency wallet for staking and is widely used because of its capacity and quality. What's more, this one type of wallet provides two types of options used for staking. They are Ledger Live and also an external wallet application.
Besides the three other multicurrency wallets (besides Atomic wallet, trust wallet, Tezos, and ledger) that are used for staking crypto, there are also some more that are qualified.

1. Exodus
This is also very popular. We can use it both on mobile or desktop. Moreover, the user can also connect or integrate the application to the Trezor hardware wallet. Recently, in Exodus, the starting option relates to the partnership of the Exodus and also Switching.

2. StakeBox
This wallet offers more effective and efficient device that consumes less energy. You can stake the crypto and also earn the reward as you like, even 24×7 as you are earning PoS coins.

3. Magnum Wallet
This is also a trusted multicurrency wallet that is available for mobile devices. It doesn't only provide the wallet for staking but also instant exchange for sure. So that you can use it for many more utilities offered by this application.

4914  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Importance of social media channels on: May 26, 2020, 02:28:40 PM
...
Sometimes, some bounty hunters or investors are not interested to join the channel. Or, they probably don't know that the projects have a certain channel. Or, they are not active in the channel or telegram group. Actually it is not only about the telegram group but also Discord, Linkedin, and many more.
. Number 1 to 4 seems to be the information for the bounty hunters. But for the investors, most of the developer team will contact them through the email or others. They are rarely for the investors to be active in the telegram group like what is done by the bounty hunter.
For the bounty hunter itself, the functions of the groups do not only for those things.

Here are some additions:
1. To communicate with the Bounty manager, project developer, and also other participants.
2. To reveal or know early if the project is a scam or not,
3. To communicate any complains or issues during the bounty or after the bounty
4. To solve problems when there is something wrong with the bounty hunters or its BM.

However, the most important thing to be active in social media is to communicate and discuss everything about the project, bounty campaigns, rules, changing requirements, and other important announcements.
4915  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fees high on: May 26, 2020, 02:14:58 PM
...
Bitcoin transaction fees have always been an issue that has been discussed as being considered quite high for so long time ago. But, isn't Bitcoin something valuable? Isn't something valuable worth a fairly high fee?

Every transaction of BTC is added into the blockchain in which the validation and adding the transaction to blockchain is conducted by miners. Basically, the rule is that a transaction with higher fees will have the priority in the validation done by the miners. So, the transactions will be done more quickly.

Network conditions and also transaction size also become the factors that influence the different fees.

But currently, I read an article about the relation of the fees and the last Bitcoin halving. The transaction fees of BTC after halving soar much.
Quote
Bitcoin’s average transaction fees continue to rise post-halving—caused by an already overloaded transaction backlog.

As seen on the following chart, the average fees of BTC have risen since January. The amount is astonishing, 1,742%. Whatsmore, the fees are getting higher again approaching to the BTC halving and after halving.

Source: Bitinfocharts

But of course, the higher fees occur not without reasons. Mostly, the high transaction fees occur because of the heavy usage periods. More transactions in the blocks will cause the race of those transactions to get so tight. If you want to be at the top, you should provide more fees to reach the next blocks.

Briefly, the answer to why the Bitcoin fee is high is simple. There are so many users of Bitcoin, and the users want their BTC to transfer quickly. We all know that if something is highly favorited and needed also important, the price will be higher, whatever it is, not only BTC. So does this coin, if you want the BTC arrives in your receiving wallet, pay it, even in high fees.

4917  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Effect of the Bitcoin Halving on Online Casinos on: May 25, 2020, 11:21:34 PM
Online gambling sites are increasing, moreover, they also spread using the cryptocurrency as the payment or transaction. Moreover, Bitcoin is a great digital currency that makes many online casinos are interested to accept this BTC for payment or transaction. But, is there really any correlation about the BTC halving and the online casinos? Does it mean the price of BTC really influence?

1. That should have been "Bitcoin Casinos Are More Secure". Hackers unable to access your personal wallet because they don't have the private key doesn't mean you are already safe.
I don't think that hackers cannot hack our Bitcoin wallet. We can search from many sources that there are several cases of stealing BTC from the wallet. They may not have our Private key, but, they are hackers. they can learn many things and they are smart. If they find just a little gap, it can be a smooth way for them to hack the site and steal our Bitcoin very easily. In fact, Binance which is known as the largest exchange alone can be hacked and lost more than $ 40M Bitcoin. So, never only think that our assets will be safe from hackers. We must be more careful even using the BTC for casinos.
4918  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The return of ICOs on: May 25, 2020, 11:02:01 PM
Guys, do you think that ICOs could make a comeback?
I do not know why but I think that the era of ICO is slow down decreasing, to be replaced with IEO although IEO is also still not significant and effective enough. there are still some issues and problems from IEO. There are also some fundraising that is coming since 2019, not only IEO but also STO or IPO.

As reported, the ICO fundraising has been plummeting in 2019, almost 95%. It is a big percentage, right? ICO (Initial Coin Offering) itself was very booming to be used by many projects, moreover, rin 2017-2018.

Based on data taken from https://ico.tokens-economy.com/statistics/ and icobench, there are decreasing fundraising using the ICO from 2018 to 2019 and this year.
1. ICO in 2018
Quote
Initial Coin Offering (ICO) in 2018 $7673.97 M

2. ICO in 2019
It has experienced decreases
Quote
Initial Coin Offering (ICO) in 2019 $1437.55 M

3. ICO in 2020
Quote
Initial Coin Offering (ICO) in 2020 $4.07 M

Seeing from the decreasing statistic during 2019 and 2020, it is difficult for ICO to come up again and reach a high percentage for fundraising. Many new projects and investors are more interested in the latest ways of fundraising.

4919  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why still the lack of volume on cross-chain decentralized exchanges? on: May 25, 2020, 04:33:40 PM
It seems that most traders are comfortable using centralized exchanges and accept the risk of spontaneous exchange shutdown.
Noted that traders choose trusted and popular exchanges, not about centralized or decentralized. Since many centralized exchanges have good trust scores and high volumes, traders prefer to choose them. Although no guarantee about profits, that trust & volume can create a higher chance to get profits and they will be safer to trade as many people are trading crypto coins there.

I doubt a bit about the risk of spontaneous exchange shutdown. I think if it is top or big centralized exchanges, they must pay taxes and have been recognized by the government. So, it is quite safe to trade there and shouldn't be any rumors of sudden shutdown. I assume the risk both in centralized or decentralized exchanges almost the same. Both are also possible to close suddenly.

Well, it's time to think outside the box!
I never try to think "outside the box" since it doesn't fit with my way. A veteran member may earn merits by applying a simple approach but it probably doesn't work to me. In my understanding, sometimes merit is something quite subjective. So, even if it works for a certain member, it doesn't always work for others. We are better to try with common ways, even it also has no guarantee to earn single merit.  Cheesy
