4901  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you cope with missing easy money making opportunity? on: May 20, 2020, 06:43:17 PM
That's called greed, and greedy trader will regret eventually. For alt coins I didn't make such as mistakes if my memory serve correctly. First time I learn about bad effects of greed in back 2017, I didn't sold my bitcoin during ATH and eventually I become a loser. After that I have realized greedy behaviour will lead you lost funds. So whenever I had been trading alts then I sold when I had appropriate profits. Nevermind if bump again after sold, at least I am not loser although I weren't able gain big profits.

However, it's pretty common mistakes for traders and believe someone us could learn from your story. Hope you and others would able to avoid such behaviour for further trading.
4902  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin ever be 20K USD again? on: May 20, 2020, 05:34:29 PM
This isn't impossible, but you will not get exact answer ever that when it will happen. If previously bitcoin could touch $20K then why its impossible once again? It's possible, but the answer always will be same if you ask when. There is possible answers if you ask why, its because of adoption. Since we all know bitcoin is limited supply, and as far as we can see the community of bitcoin expanding day by day. Although there is no much adoption lately but we would see slow adoption. For that reason we would encounter huge demand of bitcoin especially when we will able to use it almost everywhere at least on the online. So this demand automatically will lead to bump on the price and most likely then we will encounter previous ATH of $20K. But for again, we don't know when it will happen. I don't care who are predicting unrealistic price.
4903  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Satoshi just moved his coins? on: May 20, 2020, 04:57:15 PM
The articles has published an hour ago on cointelegraph. According to them their is 3 possible candidates who would be owner of this address- Satoshi, Hal Fenny & Martti Malmi. Who know if they aren't not alive and this address is controlled by someone from their family? My personal opinion is, there is huge possibility that this address owner is satoshi.

4904  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is just a brand name :( on: May 20, 2020, 04:29:12 PM
in fact we already have better coins than it but we chose to live with its brand name.
I have doubts even you will able to show true decentralized cryptocurrency except bitcoin. Most of coins those on the market now have backed by a team and they are able to influence on the price. But for bitcoin still we don't know the team behind of it, only we assume the name, not the person who have created it.

Bitcoin backed by its community, not by any organization. For digital currency you don't need existence in practical (hard copy) since it's all digital like good or whatever. Most of digital currencies works like that even out of crypto currency. So its just not a brand name, you can say it's a community name who backed the brand name of bitcoin.

4906  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcointalk is not doing well in Alexa rank because of the Merit system on: May 18, 2020, 01:52:52 PM
Very long post, can't quote one by one since I am on mobile phone. First thing is this forum isn't anything related to financial investments or something similar that investors will check Alexa rank before invest. This forum has created for discussion regarding bitcoin and related stuff. So either merits system is exist or removed you will able to make discussion. No one will prevent you from it. So why you are worried about merits?

Whoever left this forum for merit system they were just a spammer. They never contributed themselves for forum. So who care even they left or stay? If you are a good contributor and good poster on this forum you don't need to worry about merits.

So for forum, traffic or Alexa rank isn't much important. The most important part for this forum is healthy discussion.
4907  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hello guys, Help I'm new here. on: May 18, 2020, 01:34:27 PM
Welcome to the community. Noticed on this week couple of newbies make same question on this section. I am not sure about their intention and don't know if they are the same person.

Anyway I have suggested few things to another thread, it will help you since your question is almost similar. Besides that, I will strongly prefer to use search button before create this kind of topics. Tons of answers are available here to make you satisfied.
4908  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crowdfunding with Bitcoin or other cryptocurrency on: May 18, 2020, 01:25:29 PM
Crowdfunding with crypto-currency was most popular in back 2017 (If I am not wrong). But currently I can't see any successful platform with crypto-currency crowdfunding platform from where investors getting benefits. I am not familiar with fiat crowdfunding as you mentioned on the OP nor I am interested there. To be honest crowdfunding become quick scam method lately for scammers. They have no real products, no real concept even no real team behind of current crowdfunding. The most scam happen into crypto-currency crowdfunding platforms. You can't expect good return even can't expect get back your invested capital if you wondering to invest currently launched crowdfunding platform. It doesn't make any difference either they use Bitcoin, Ethereum or some other crypto-currency. The fact is still same.
4909  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some questions on BTC on: May 18, 2020, 01:13:38 PM
1. I read that never store all your coins in one wallet. So wts the solution? should I install two electrum standalone wallets and store my coins in both of them?
If you have downloaded software from original website and if you verified signature then you don't need to create two wallet unless you lost your current wallet. But you should be careful during uses. If you aren't careful enough then even install TEN wallet wouldn't help your to prevent your fund from hackers. Your machine system should be safe from virus and malware. If you have huge amount of bitcoin then I will prefer to use Ledger nano hardware wallet. So you will be safe zone.

2. I have written seed on a paper to recover my BTC in case my computer got corrupt. What thing apart from seed should I backup to recover my wallet in case my system is corrupted.
Seed itself is enough to recover your wallet. But make sure your seed has written on multiple paper and save it on multiple places as well. So even one written seed burned or destroyed then you will able to recover it from another paper. Do not save your seed any online machine.

3. Strong password is good enough to secure a wallet or I have to do something else also.
Password will encrypted your wallet file, nothing else. If your device become compromised and hack your clipboard then likely password wouldn't help you. When you will recover by using seed then you have to setup a new password. Perhaps you would use TrustedCoin 2FA for an extra layer security if you have doubts that you are in risk of wallet compromise.

Important: If you see any popups regarding update of your electrum then make sure its redirecting to original website. I will prefer do not update from popups, so many users hacked by this way. Just go official website and install latest version from there. Install new version will never effect your old wallet file. So you don't need to worry about your funds.
4910  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Small assets, trade or invest? Good decision? on: May 17, 2020, 04:52:18 PM
Its totally depends on your trading skill either you will invest or trade. I am assuming you are meaning hold by invest. Its could called long trade as well since you will hold some coins. I don't know about your capital, if your fund is quite low then your decision about investment likely correct. Trading with small amount is quite risky. Because if lose on a trade then it very difficult to recover. I am away from trading from six months almost if my memory serve me correctly. Its because I lost my funds from trading and currently I am holding some shitcoin. Although sometimes I had gained good amounts but eventually I am loser on the trading. That's why I have chosen to invest or hold with some coins. But remembers invest in crypto always risky since its always been volatile. So invest whatever you could afford loss. Dint take loan or borrow money to invest in crypto, otherwise you might get huge losses.
4911  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk Reveals How much Bitcoins he Hold on: May 17, 2020, 04:34:35 PM
I don’t believe Musk only holds 0.25BTC, there’s no way he has that small a stash. If he still has any then it will be a lot more than that, he’s a very clever guy, he knew what he was doing tweeting about bitcoin Cheesy
It would be true as well, who know if he sold his all bitcoin on the past bull run when price was $20K? I have doubts he is trying to accumulate more that's why trying to pull back since peoples know him as a big bitcoin whale. Or he is no more interested on bitcoin since he have made huge profits from it. He is one of world richest guy, so likely he will move some other way. Who know if he is wondering to established his own crypto-currency on the Mars Grin
4912  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin after the year of 2140 on: May 17, 2020, 04:18:52 PM
I believe whoever active on forum currently will never live till 2140 (not sure, perhaps any lucky man would live), so it's quite complicated to imagine as well. Simply when bitcoin has created then no one had expected that bitcoin could reach $20K on 2017. Same like we don't know exactly what will happen, perhaps bitcoin would replaced with some new technology and it will not exist. But to be honest if bitcoin exist upto 2140 then I am not worried about miner fees. There is huge potential that price would increse out of our imagination. Then transaction fees would be enough to genarate revenue for miners since bitcoin  adoption continues.
4913  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How I earn $ on: May 17, 2020, 08:08:18 AM
First I want to know who had introduced this forum to you as a earning platform? Most probably you are misguided. This forum like a crypto academy where you could learn about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. There is no any direct earning sources from forum. Only thing you could learn & acquire knowledge from here and most probably you will be able to apply this knowledge in your life for earn money IMO.

Perhaps you are wondering (or heard) how other peoples earning from here. This is via some third party like gambling site, exchange, bitcoin mixer campaign and bounty campaign, also you might earn by lending as well. But all of them aren't related with this forum. You have to learn and earn yourself. You have to spent lots of time here, because this isn't marketplaces that you could earn money instantly after registered.

Advise from my side, forget about earning from here and be a good contributor. Be realistic, share your best knowledge and experiences with this community. Help others and ask questions if you need anything (except money) learning purpose. Then likely you will able to build your account and will found some way to earn dust.

Anyway, welcome to the greatest bitcoin community.
4914  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HELP RECOVERING MY COIN FROM---) COINMIXER.ES!!! on: May 17, 2020, 05:15:18 AM
I think OP has been realized that you were scammed. Really feeling sorry your first experience with bitcoin and it was ended up with bad experience. That's often happening, peoples make post after scammed but they don't like to do their own diligence before send fund. A little search could save your life really. There is tons of legit bitcoin mixers, just it’s your misfortune that you didn’t ask before.

Anyway hope you learnt from this and other users will learn from it. Think twice before send your fund.
4915  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware of Scam Emails like this on: May 16, 2020, 04:26:58 PM
This is very old way to scam people, you shouldn't use your main email for such as suspicious site like ICO, Airdrop and other free money website. When you will receive such as greedy offer via mail, just use unsubscribe button from bottom of mail. So that you will not receive such as suspicious mail unless they add you manually once again. One of the most reason why we are gatting scam is greed, when we see any greedy offer then we fall into it. So try to be realistic, nothing is free in the world. We might avoid such as scam attempt by avoiding our greedy behaviour.
4916  Economy / Exchanges / Re: “Unknown bitcoin address.” on: May 16, 2020, 01:02:21 PM
Seems OP disappear after 3 mins of create this thread, it's quite funny. Anyway most probably your problems related with SegWit address which you didn't noticed during genarate your Electrum. Better follow the instructions given by @BitMaxz and hope your problems will be solved.

And then do everyone a favour and send a message to Paxful support and tell them to implement support for SegWit addresses. It has been a long time since it was introduced, and forcing users into using Legacy wallets does not help adoption.
Agree, perhaps if they received multiple request/mail regarding that matter then they would consider support SegWit address. They should keep their role on bitcoin adoption as well.
4917  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: [ANN] Trustee Wallet - Bitcoin wallet. Exchange! on: May 16, 2020, 12:49:46 PM
As you mentioned on the thread that Trustee wallet doesn't required commission except network commision, so how are you going to genarate revenue? From exchange/swap or something else? Anyway, a brand awareness among the forum would introduce your wallet to more real crypto users and only ANN thread isn't sufficient object for that.

Why did you choose Trustee as the name? Didn't you think that the name similarity with the trust wallet could harm you? The use of similar names with large project names has not been welcomed so far. I think if you haven't started your launch, think again about the name issue.
Nah, I can't see much problem with that. Trust & Trustee have different meaning, so I am fine with their chosen name. I can't see from any point of view that how this name would harmful at all, they have different names and different logo as well. But I have to admit that name would be more unique than current name, but not bad so far.
4918  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What does Halving actually mean for Beginners? on: May 16, 2020, 11:18:41 AM
Probably, it does not mean anything Smiley Many people hoped that the price would rise much, but so far this has not happened. Besides the fact that I began to understand that for mining now I will need much more investments.
Most of peoples don't know the concept behind of Halving. That's why most of people hoped that bitcoin price will raised during that time which wasn't happened this time. So for short answer, Halving = Half of mining rewards. Every Halving of bitcoin mining rewards will be half from previous. That's it, so it's not something related with bitcoin price. Only miners will effected due to Halving. Holders will not effected except volatility.
4919  Economy / Speculation / Re: Personally i think bitcoin is future on: May 16, 2020, 11:05:17 AM
Another thing is that, bitcoin is always volatile and there is no guarantee that this will become our future. The only thing that we can guarantee is the decentralization, immutability and censorship-resistant which can maybe a good alternative in our financial system that is flawed.
Fully agree with that. Bitcoin hasn't been created to take advantage of volatility and get profits. The aim of bitcoin was a decentralized currency which would make transaction peer to peer without any third party involvement. That means the intention was of bitcoin creator give new financial system where we would be our own bank and we don't need to trust anyone with our fund. Remember, 1 bitcoin always will be 1 bitcoin, it will never change. So it's better forget evaluate bitcoin with the price only which isn't clear indicate for bright future
4920  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto and btc evolution. Support zone, supply and demand. on: May 16, 2020, 10:58:18 AM
I am not criticising but really it's very hard to understand that what you want to explain exactly. Likely you are unable to explain correctly or I am missing something. We don't know even bitcoin will exist after 40 years or not, but likely crypto-currency will remain as it is. Because some countries wondering to create their own crypto-currency like China. Perhaps more advanced technology will be added on the future which would lead crypto-currency to a new stage. So many thing would change after 40 years and we can't imagine it now. Like bitcoin wasn't exist before 20 years and no one imagined that as well. Anyway I am positive with bitcoin future.
