Honestly I don't think you've got really any idea what you're talking about. What makes you so optimistic? The world is going through something none of us have ever seen in our lifetimes and it's destroying the economy slowly. With millions laid off, millions soon to lose their homes ( remember at least in the U.S. tenants and those on a mortgage had gov " no eviction mandates" protecting them that expires soon) , thousands of business large and small going under, non-stop gov debt spending, and an over-bought stock market ..all this with no covid-19 end or slow down in sight..I'm NOT optimistic.

I am surprised to have seen so many sell out so quickly. I guess we really don't know how many were made or that were up for sale. I might have just a few singles available and will let everyone know if I do or not when they are received.

This is a completely subjective question. What are you trading exactly, are you referring to cryptocurrency/bitcoin or what? Then the real question becomes should you really even be trading? Most people I see trading , shouldn't. They aren't versed in finance well enough, and don't have the portfolio to do so. How much you're looking to make off an investment is something you should have in mind ahead of time. Therefore if it goes past that you can't be that upset. There's a lot more to this question then just a simple answer.

That's the problem with many of the politicians here in the United States. Many political positions do not have term limits, so some politicians have been in office for decades. Jessie White who is Illinois Secretary of State is 87 years old. He's been in office for decades. This allows for corruption to keep consistent as well as for people whom are too old to keep going as a politician in which many do not have the proper cognition to maintain the role at that age. Many are biased, unwilling to learn, and corrupt. They scoff at bitcoin because it does not follow what they are used to. Take the court appearances of all the giant tech CEOs recently for exampled ( facebook, amazon, google, etc)

If you had that much money it bitcoin, then you likely are intelligent enough to know the importance of diversification and likely have money in many other types of investments and bitcoin is likely a smaller % of your net worth. If that's not the case, then yes I wouldn't sleep well because that means I'm an idiot.

It's important to remember that anytime anyone is "guaranteeing" that you will make a certain profit, then it is with out question a scam. There is no such thing as a guaranteed return and is actually against SEC rules to do as such.

People can quickly become complacent to think that their single location storage of their Bitcoin hoard would be enough. We all saw how 300 000 people have lost their houses in as little as a few seconds. The Beirut explosion should be a wake-up call to all of us, to store your Paper wallets and cold wallets in more than one geographical location. A national disaster or a accident like this might wipe out your house and if you used that as your primary hiding place, you would lose more than your house. After a disaster like this, bulldozers are brought in and only the foundations might be left after they are done. (So hiding it in a safe or a wall or the roof is a bad idea.) Make sure you have several copies of your Paper wallets/Private keys and store them in separate locations. You might not even be at home when a disaster like this happens and when you return, the authorities might stop you from entering the devastated area. (due to instability of structures or chemical/gas leaks.) So you will not have a opportunity to retrieve your stash. Wake up and act now... before it is too late. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) These are good points in general for sure. It's also a good and very sad reminder that we are all not immortal. We are all going to die someday so make sure you've got a Will established with precise directions on how to pass along your bitcoin/cryptocurrency to your heirs. You never know when tragedy might strike.

You shouldn't take any of this advice from someone who's not a financial advisor or well versed in finance. To truly answer your question we'd have to know your entire financial situation. Without knowing that, could lead to making some very costly mistakes. You need to make sure your entire financial portfolio is established and that you're on track to your retirement goals ( assuming you've yet to retire). Can you afford to buy more? That's the main question to be asking to start off.

Thanks for the security reminder! (Just an FYI to everyone who may not be aware, also take away any cell phone numbers you may have listed on your email accounts. This is what gives hackers the ability to sim-swap).

As the title states, I'm still on the hunt for a loaded bitcoin bit-card ( like three years in to the making now). Bit-Cards made cards for other types of cryptocurrency and would be interested in those as well. I would also be interested in trading for one of these cards. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2Fw0XNUHQ.jpg&t=663&c=JtNWWEY4f80e2A)

This is actually really great information. I remember in the beginning of this pandemic how health advisors warned of the potential impact to mental heath during these times. I thought it was just kinda silly as surely this couldn't mess with ones mental cognition. I was sure wrong. It's messed with my mental health personally. I feel like I'm losing my mind at times and worried about losing my job as business has slowed greatly. I've been trying to be more active with reaching out to friends and family. It is important to be proactive and do the types of things mentioned in the OP.

To be fair these companies would be killing either way. Amazon, google, microsoft... these companies basically run the planet and especially companies like Amazon who have their hands in every sort of business you can imagine these days... certainly none of this is surprising. We shall see how they hold up as more and more people continue to lose their homes/jobs etc.

Technically bitcoins creator is known and classified. Satoshi had to register his website(s) and he did so using a service which keeps his/her/their identity private. Imagine having access to that info. Would just be cool to know, though I hope no one ever finds out who satoshi is.

I think the corona virus is going to change many things permanently, some for the better and some for the worse. I do think a big part of gold and bitcoins rise is the fear of a global depression and these assets will be used as "safe havens". I think this will teach people that it's important to have those safe havens which will lead to long term upside for bitcoin and other crypto coins.

I wonder if they made them in the 100's of thousands which would keep the numismatic value low
$1.09 USD = $1 CHF btw
Hundreds of thousands would be quite a few coins for a maker not looking to supply a nation with it's fiat currency. My guess is they probably made around 500 or so. Can't really complain about much when the coins cost about 11 bucks and have 5 bucks worth of bitcoin loaded on to it. Steal of a deal if you ask me.

" More Buyers than Sellers" This cracks me up that they threw this in there as a reason. Like, ya don't say. What do you mean by "No jobs"? That seems to me like it would be a reason people would be selling not buying. Also that's not accurate that you can't make money in the stock market short term. You can day trade making money today, stocks could continue to rise for several more years etc.

there are some within that first 80 serial numbers that have been redeemed within minutes of their initial loading. Some then reloaded again and then redeemed again as well.
Probably test coins. Gotta make sure the whole funding thing works, I suppose. Regards, Chris perhaps - I spoke with the guy over there by the name of Frank and he was really surprised to see interest stemming from outside of Switzerland and stated he was not aware their site had been posted here on bitcoin talk.org - their original intent was to develop a website for their friends and family so they could buy them and have access to their public key and funding verification. He stated they will be working on adding an English version to the site and also stated that the coins are very much a "work in progress" still and admits that they have not loaded a lot of coins yet and their intent is to keep them as affordable as possible. If I get more from them, I will share it. Ah very good info I appreciate you sharing this. I have been in touch with Frank over the last few days but we did not get in to any of those specifics. Did they mention at all how many were made/going to be made in total ? Obviously they made over 80 via the photos on the site where you can see serial numbers higher than that.

pretty f'ing cool!
Thank you. This set is definitely pretty sweet. I just moved and have a bunch of expenses or I’d not be letting go of it. If I was ever selling otherwise I’d wait to sell the set until the next Star Wars is released as the value of these goes up every single time quite a bit. Though JJ is doing his best to ruin that and all things Star Wars, apparently. I think his 6 year old niece wrote the last script.
