4901  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will There Comes A Time That All Online Gambling Sites Are CryptoCurrency Based? on: September 27, 2019, 08:30:55 AM
Anonymity and popularity of Cryptocurrency are two of it's the best attraction.
And Cryptocurrency games are more transparent.
Will, there comes a time that all online gambling sites will be Cryptocurrency based?

This is just a matter of time. And not just online gambling sites but also in all other aspects of spending. Cryptocurrency will be the currency of the future and so there is no other way for online gambling sites to develop but within the bounds of cryptocurrency. Cryptocurrency will be used by online gambling sites not because it is anonymous, popular, and transparent as the case may be right now but because there is no other money.

The decision should be left for gamblers. There are gamblers who will need the anonymity, especially those from countries that are hard on gambling. Some gamblers wouldn't care about anonymity or other features Crypto provides as long as they get all they need on a fiat/Crypto based gambling site.

4902  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New bitcoin mining algorithm on: September 27, 2019, 07:11:37 AM
Seeing that bitcoin has long been impossible to mine on a regular computer began to ponder the question of why the development team does not seek to switch to another algorithm to stop the mining of coins by large corporations and return to the canons that bequeathed Satoshi. It may be worth switching to the pos algorithm, you will not need to spend a huge amount of electricity and investors will be able to receive passive income for storing coins. There will also be no need to be afraid of the quantum computer. Interested in everyone's opinion.

Switching to proof of stake is not a good idea in my opinion. It's such an easy way to earn mining reward and  will likely be unsustainable in the long-run.. Another problem people hardly talk about concerning PoS is the issue of privacy. Staker would need lots of coins, right? And many will likely give out the private information before purchasing lots of coins. What if you are required in the future to reveal what the coin is meant for. There are other disadvantages of proof of stake that are usually ignored.
4903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Money is Dirty Money on: September 27, 2019, 06:32:05 AM
It depends on Money that they use for gambling. if the money came from a illegal job etc then that's a dirty money because of addiction on gambling some of people doing illegal just like rubbery or etc for just a small amount of money and they try to gambling it.this kind people are those who have a small source of income, and it's depend on what gambling their have and Status of Life they have.

In my opinion, dirty money can be called only what is obtained by deceiving other people. Many Goverments themselves trade in arms and administer gambling, while prohibiting their citizens from doing the same. That is why I believe that only cheating other people can be an unworthy way to make money. And if the casino does not have special settings to commit fraud, then his money can not be dirty.

Exactly. There may be distinction between dirty money and money earned through immoral means . Gambling still does not qualify as either the two, depending on laws of nations as it regard gambling. Gambling is really legal where I live. The government even run a lottery program which qualify as gambling

4904  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Emotions; while betting, will you risk losing your fund to back your club? on: September 27, 2019, 05:58:38 AM
Don't know how to put this but I'll try. So lets say your fav club is about playing against a tougher club which on paper they're far better than your club but in your inner most mind you want your club to win therefore, when it comes to placing a bet, which club will you go far. Will you risk losing the bet to back your team winning that match, when you know the chances of them succeeding are almost impossible but since it's football anything is possible or will you bet against you club winning that match but while the match is ongoing you'll be routing for your club to win (in other words routing for yourself to lose your bet)?

How do you balance the emotion of wanting your club to win but not ready to lose your bet in the toughest of games.

I will definitely go for the better club.
I will support my club and bet for the better club for the sake of my hard earned money but if it is a small bet, I will risk betting against the better sode.
People don't always get too emotional when it comes to money unless they have alot of money to waste.

4905  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the listing of CARDANO to binance help the price? on: September 27, 2019, 05:22:05 AM
The Altcoin price could rise a little bit before/after the Binance listing. I would advice you not to hope too much on a big price increase. Just target the little profit and try again when you find another opportunity.
Altcoin market is not so reliable these days. Holders won't dump due binance listing unless price goes up too high before the listing
4906  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ideas - dead cryptos on: September 26, 2019, 06:03:52 PM
I have seen that some guy here offered buying these dead coins for a fair price. Do not understand why would he do that. Maybe he believes that one day they will rise from the dead?  Cheesy

They were probably looking for coins with unique and useful features. It is also possible that the intention was profit-driven. They most likely have regretted it If that's the case.

By the way, it's weird to sell "decentralized" cryptocurrencies . I mean, how do you sell something you don't control?
4907  Other / Off-topic / Re: Pros and cons of KYC and the alternative logic on: September 26, 2019, 02:06:37 PM
Interesting observation.
Well, if personal information from Google or Facebook is that reliable, why don't the exchanges use them? There are people who will never use phones camera, finger prints sensors or biometric authentication features on their phones.. .  Internet devices won't have much on those kind of people. This is probably why verifying users identities via social media isn't used much.
4908  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Origins - Explore Bitcoin History and Secrets on: September 26, 2019, 11:57:54 AM
I am a little surprised by the anonymouspeech.com domain name. Why didnt we hear much about it before today? I guess everyone is more focused on "anonymous money" lol. Another unsung hero of Bitcoin is the actual inventor of Proof of Works. . through hashcash I think.
Lots of good information you provided. Good job!
4909  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Choose Lottery Instead Of Anything Else? on: September 26, 2019, 10:29:16 AM
the chance to win it is indeed very little in the lottery game, why many people love it, of course this game does not require any expertise. another with the dice game, we can play using the strategy to always win, but playing dice requires sufficient capital to be able to play long in it

Although the chance to win is very little, people still come to buy the ticket. People think that with some money, let say $20, and they can buy a lot of tickets which is one ticket can be the winner. They always come back to the lottery place to buy the ticket every day or every week. People come and go in the lottery game, and there will be new people who will come to and buy the tickets.

With the big prize of the jackpot, it surely attracts more people to come and buy the ticket. They know that only one person who can win the jackpot but they still buy the ticket no matter if the game is purely base on the luck.

Some have recommended playing lottery in this way but not exactly as you recommend.
You could agree with your friends, family or both, to play together and share the win. This will probably increase the chances of winning in your "team" and reduce the amount of money each individual has to pay for thesame increased chances
4910  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 2 BTC wagering Contest is live now! on: September 26, 2019, 08:57:47 AM
What does the "Lucky-tokens" mean? And how do we know this game is fair? I have looked through your post and found no provable fair or something similar mentioned. This is not how things are done here.
If you want your costumers to trust this you have to met some reasonable standards.
The standards are not mandatory but important for trust sake.
4911  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: September 26, 2019, 07:54:14 AM
The remaining 1% are those who are making a living from gambling.
That's means gambling industry are so rich because they take the 99% chance of making money compared to only 1% of their gamblers who make a living in gambling. I don't know what percentage exactly but I do believe it's possible to make a living in gambling and 1% is just too small, maybe like 5%, but like I said, I really don't know because I myself is not making a living in gambling although in the past I tried to find ways to make it possible, but failed.
Its hard to determine the rate, but it's easy to determine who really are making profit in gambling, and it's non other than the gambling operators.
Aiming to make gambling as a living is a hard job, maybe the hardest kind of job in this world as we know that majority of the gamblers loses over time.

If we have enough capital, maybe the easiest way to make a living in gambling is just to start our own casino or gambling sites.

Contrary to the popular belief , casinos don't have huge profit margin. From my experience , they have less than 10%, after they pay all the taxes and licenses, and taxes for these kind of business are quite high. Truth to be told,i worked in Europe where taxes on these things are quite high, some specific places like Vegas or Macau might have lower taxes.

So it is not so easy, to just open casino and make easy money.

Interesting. People don't take those aspects into consideration when they imagine what owners of businesses are making.
If making money by owning a gambling company is that easy many failed gambling companies would still be in existence.
4912  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CryptoBets on Online Games on: September 26, 2019, 07:19:04 AM
Do you mean e-Sports?
Some e-Sports games like Dota2 and Counter Strike - Global Offense are games are already on crypto-based gambling sites.
Just like on sportsbet.io and playbetr, I already tried to bet since last year via sportsbet.io, most of them are in Dota 2 games, even in recent The International 2019, I have also lot of bets history and most of them are lost  Cheesy
But there are also limited games, like some minor tournaments may not be available on those platforms I mentioned, just check it everytime you see a tournament about e-sports, major tournaments especially that has huge prize pool will possible to add in those platforms.

I think Op is talking about the possibility of betting on online games through the existing cryptocurrency gambling websites. More like watching popular online gaming tournaments and betting on them via cryptocurrency gambling websites. I believe some Crypto-based gambling companies have few of such tournaments for gamblers.
4913  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Getting too emotional while trading crypto on: September 25, 2019, 07:34:22 PM
My own simple trick is to buy whenever there is a major dip and sell when the market recovers from the dip. If the price continues to dip, you keep buying. If the market continues to go up, you keep selling off some of what you accumulated in previous dips.
You should always have some funds reserved in stablecoin for buying up the important dips.
4914  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fiat-to-crypto: is it safe? on: September 25, 2019, 02:20:10 PM
Hey everyone. I'm new to crypto and I wanted to ask if there's a point of buying crypto with a credit card.
I found a lot of exchanges where users can easily (as they say) buy cryptocurrencies with their bank card. I mean, at binance they request like a lot of data about me, including my phone number or date of birth.
Aren't they selling my private info (that would explain 0,25$ fee on changelly for example), and doesn't that conflicts with the statement about my anonymity?

That would be fair for every fiat-to-crypto exchange, so my question is: do you use it and is it really safe?

I think you should go through the exchanges Terms of Service or FAQ to understand how they handle your private information...Not like they will be very transparent about it though but little explanation is better than nothing.
If you want anonymity/privacy you could use decentralized exchanges like Bisq.

4915  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will There Comes A Time That All Online Gambling Sites Are CryptoCurrency Based? on: September 25, 2019, 01:02:33 PM
Anonymity and popularity of Cryptocurrency are two of it's the best attraction.
And Cryptocurrency games are more transparent.
Will, there comes a time that all online gambling sites will be Cryptocurrency based?
It's possible if the government will wish to. However, this scenario is less likely to happen since government is not a fan of online gambling since it's very hard to monitor although it's crypto based. Transaction in crypto is transparent and irreversable however it's impossible to identify who's the real person involved in thar transaction in which it limits the scope of watchers in determining the identity of a person who is involved in any shady activity. I think stricting and regulating mixers should be their first step before considering this.

Many governments don't really have problems with online gambling. There are lots of fiat based online gambling registered and regulated by governments. I think what most governments will have hard time accepting are gamblings based on cryptocurrency.
4916  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Negative interest rates will make stablecoin pegs impractical to maintain? on: September 25, 2019, 11:46:01 AM
Do you think negative interest rates will impact stablecoins and make them impractical?

You mean stablecoin not paying interest to their holders? That is actually a problem. Ironically, some of the established stablecoins earn interest from customers funds. But I read some are considering paying interest in the future.

4917  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betmatch.io - NOT recommended, NOT reliable ! on: September 25, 2019, 07:56:50 AM
The website didn't work so well on my mobile phone lite browser. You probably should make it a little Mobile friendly.
I noticed on your announcement thread a part about the purpose of erc20 token and I  wondered If those reasons are good enough to have a token for your gambling business. You'd  need lots of customers/funds to push the token price up continuously.
4918  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Athletics crypto betting on: September 25, 2019, 06:14:15 AM
2019 World Athletics Championships starts on Friday what made me thinking of the possibility to bet on this sport at one of the crypto betting platforms.

Do you know which site supports the athletics?

How to bet on this sport after all? What strategies are the best? Does it make sense to bet on the events with dozens of participants?

Is it by and large popular on any of the markets?

If I'm not mistaken, most of the platforms don't have IAAF World Championship in its offer. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Gambling companies  tend to focus more on popular sports. If the World Athletics Championships is popular around the world or in a country many gambling companies will most likely include them. By the way, these kind of sports are not played often.

4919  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scenario: Ripple Goes Public on: September 24, 2019, 04:38:08 PM
You mean Ripple going public to raise funds?
Wonder what they want to do with more funds... What did they achieve with what they raised in the past? Guess development was affected by the 2018 bear market. They should have kept part of their development fund in a stablecoin.
The stablecoin fund can always kick in once funds in deflationary coin losses alot of value/price
4920  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We need a MrBitcoin like MrBeast to increase Bitcoin adoption. on: September 24, 2019, 03:15:14 PM
I doubt the "guys at the top" will like the. They could even compel youtube to indirectly censor the videos when they start getting great views.

I remember seeing videos of popular youtubers talking about Bitcoin back in 2017. They usually focus more on the advantages of Cryptocurrency without talking much about disadvantages. I think the information should be balanced to prevent those who cannot tolerate risk from joining the community.
