The other countries are not comfortable with the higher share given to the BCCI. They argue that every other sports body treats the nations equally and there should not be any discrimination in cricket as well.
From what i understand the majority of the revenue that ICC earns comes with the help of India and so is the reason they are having some voice when it comes to these allocation, i want to see India and Pakistan play cricket as it was once the most anticipated series after Ashes but the political intervention and their political tensions deprived the fans from watching these high octane matches and if it was any other country i am sure the ICC should intervene.

Oh.. not again. We had hundreds of posts here discussing a resumption of cricketing ties between India and Pakistan. But we needs to be realistic. To be honest, I don't think that a bilateral series between these two nations will happen during the next 10-15 years. As of now, these two teams are facing each other in the ICC tournaments and I guess we should be happy with these matches.
4902  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Teofimo Lopez Lightweight Unification fight on: February 11, 2020, 02:14:46 PM
OK.. I understand that the fight needs promotion and perhaps that's the reason why Teofimo Lopez went on with his verbal tirade against Loma. But it doesn't leave a good taste, especially if the attack is directed at a legendary player.
Legendary? Don't be hasty dude Grin. Don't get me wrong, Lomachenko is one of the best in his division but saying that he's a legendary already is too much. He still young and there's a lot of of things he must achieve first before getting proclaimed as one of the greatest Smiley.
And I have seen similar incidents in the past as well. And every single time, I have seen the individual who begins this verbal attack losing the fight (not just in boxing, but with MMA as well).
Yeah! Sometimes the humble fighters win in the end simply because the focus is there. Their presence of mind in the fight are intact (unless they're ill-tempered) unlike to those players who keep on taunting their opponents. But let's admit, getting cocky sometimes works but not all the time of course (e.g. Mayorga and McGregor) Grin.

Well... perhaps I went a bit overboard. I agree that Lomachenko can't be compared to boxers such as Pacquiao and Klitschko. He will become a legend like them, but it is going to take a few more years. The message that I wanted to convey is that Lopez should show some respect to Lomachenko. He is much more experienced than him, and he has more achievements to his name. And no one is going to misinterpret the respect shown towards the rival as a sign of weakness.

Both Naseem Shah and Yasir Shah bowled well. But these guys need to be consistent while facing tougher opposition. I still remember what happened to Naseem, when he played his first test match (against Australia at Brisbane). He couldn't handle the pressure then. Anyway, it is encouraging to see some young players in the starting XI for Pakistan after a long time.
If they are able to develop young talents when the sernior players are still in the team, then they will be able to groom them and become a better player than they started and all the teams should follow that pattern to have a good team even after their past super stars retire, the problem with Pakistan is that they usually replace the senior players at once if they fail a series and push the young players and that will not help them develop.

Personally I am against the idea of allowing 16-year olds to play in the national team. But Pakistan has done it very frequently. Hasan Raza was just 14-years old, when he played his first match for Pakistan. Some of the other teams don't allow this. For example, the last time Australia had a teenager in theri national side was in 2011, when Pat Cummins made his debut.

You cannot rule out money in every game. I am sure Sourav Ganguly will change a lot of things within BCCI as he did when he was leading the Indian team. India is not looking to control ICC, India is only asking it's fair share as it is the only country that has been promoting cricket and generating revenue for the game.

The other countries are not comfortable with the higher share given to the BCCI. They argue that every other sports body treats the nations equally and there should not be any discrimination in cricket as well. For example, the funds given by FIFA to Brazil or Germany is lower when compared to the amount that is transferred to India and China every year.
4905  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: February 11, 2020, 01:38:08 PM
I was expecting at least a win from Virat and co but not seeing one from one of the best ODI ranking team was surprising for me. I used to believe that inform Indian team can beat any team with whatever lineup they have but I was wrong.

It's one of those surprise when reality does not meet the expectation.

Anyway.. it was not like they lost the matches by 100 runs or more. All the three matches were pretty close. And the reason why India lost, was due to the poor performance from 2-3 players. Captain Virat Kohli took some very brave decisions, such as resting Rohit Sharma and sending Prithvi Shaw to open the batting. It didn't worked that well, but I would still appreciate his boldness to experiment.
4906  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Teofimo Lopez Lightweight Unification fight on: February 11, 2020, 01:30:55 PM
Motormouth Teofimo Lopez is trying to provoke Loma as much as he can. Yesterday he verbally abused Loma, and claimed that his rival may have to retire soon (Lomachenko is 31 years old). BTW, is there any news on the actual dates for this fight? It was originally scheduled for April, but now it is known that there will be another 1-2 months delay. I am hoping that we'll be able to watch the fight within the next 5 months.
This part of promotions  really needs to create noises to gathers more viewers and fans. It's a good way of promoting the fight since there's no actual date yet, with more social medias exposures and more thrash talks to lingered around, this might bring more money for both fighters and promoters. It's been a culture since the venue of public news is very provoking and being followed by fans.
Indeed, so get used to it mate. In every sports, usuallywhere duel like this occurs, this kind of sh*t is can't be gone (in UFC you can find it as a consistent part of every main event fights — battle of egos). I'm just shocked that Teofimo can also do such dirty thing, but well that's understandable because he is the underdog between one of them thus more hungry for pride and glory. I wish him all the best, I just hope he can do his signature backflip after the fight lol Grin.

Surprised and shocked to see another Indian defeat. I did not watch the match, I was asleep and after waking up just thought to check the score and saw New Zealand chased down and won the last match. Is this serious wake-up call for India or they will still have the excuse of experimenting their eleven.

Congratulations New Zealand for the sweet revenge.

LOL.. It wasn't that shocking to me, especially after their prior defeats in the ODI series. I wasn't expecting anything special from India for this dead rubber match. But my hopes rose when they managed a total of close to 300. But even that was not enough to defeat New Zealand, especially after the return of Kane Willamson to the squad. In the end, they won comfortably. The lack of form of Indian pacers bother me. Shardul Thakur failed in this match as well, and I think that the selectors need to think about his position in the squad.

~snip~

Being an Indian, I was cheering for my side at the start of the match. But I was disgusted by the arrogance displayed by the Indian players. When the Bangladeshis were batting, Indian players were verbally abusing them, using the filthiest of the Hindi words. Remember that these are teenage players, who are indulging in such behavior. I am glad that Bangladesh won in the end. The Indians didn't deserved the trophy.

It seems to me that you didn't watch full match and especially Bangladesh fast bowler when he was bowling against the Jaiswal and when they won the game. Your perceptive might change completely after knowing the series of event. official inquiry is yet to published in details but Bangladeshi captain already said sorry for his team behavior.

Everything started in the first inning when Bangladeshi bowler came at Jaiswal using Bangla and hindi swear words at every single ball, then same happened with Indian captain and others. In second inning Indian spinner Bisnoi took matter into his hands with using same tactics and returned the favor.

So far so good but ugly part yet to come. when Bangladeshi won, all their player came at pitch and start celebrating, no problem at all with that. but some directly jump on Indian players and drama started.. see for yourself https://twitter.com/HitmanCricket/status/1226574081077600256

'Dirty,' says Priyam Garg; Akbar Ali 'sorry' for reaction of his boys

Good thing is captains from both teams and Jaiswal are mature and handled the situation very well.

Oh.. in that case I am sorry for my post. I didn't watched the entire match, since the England vs South Africa match was also ongoing at the same time. My friend told me that the Indian players were behaving very arrogantly and I believed him. I would still say that these sort of incidents don't augur well for the future. Teenagers should not behave like this.
4910  Economy / Economics / Re: Corona Virus and The Effect on The Markets on: February 10, 2020, 04:20:02 PM
Corona Virus effected in the cryptocurrency not agree to relate that. After corona virus market can be down trend but what's reason to bull run. No relation between corona virus and crypto market, i think it happened coincidentally. From this time market is going up that means after this situation market will go downtrend? China is huge affected in specially their economic and different sectors.

I think there's a connection between the coronavirus and the crypto market after all. At least with bitcoin. If there's an epidemic in China, the course could grow as many users of the crypto market. And don't forget that over 60% of the farms in China

I am not sure whether 60% of the mining farms are located in China or not. But as far as the hash rate is concerned, almost two-third is concentrated in that country. But the proportion for the number of farms will be lower. Because most of the farms in China are giant-sized, with heavy hash power. Anyway, I am not noticing any significant decline in the hash power for any of the major cryptocurrencies.
4911  Economy / Economics / Re: Richest 2000 People richer then poorest 4.6 billion on: February 10, 2020, 04:09:07 PM
Well I don't know the exact numbers but currently at this time Bitcoin is not distributed evenly amongst all the users as well so in correlation with your topic its almost the same across the board.

This topic has hardly anything to do with Bitcoin. I would say that the top 1,000 or so owners hold a large part of Bitcoins and on the other hand 99% of the world population doesn't own any cryptocurrency. That means that the wealth redistribution within Bitcoin is even more asymmetric when compared to the one with fiat cash. But it is not surprising. After all, wealth redistribution was not one of the targets of Satoshi Nakamoto when he invented BTC.
4912  Economy / Speculation / Re: One satoshi for $1 dollar will occur someday on: February 10, 2020, 03:34:39 PM
Why don't you make some simple calculations before posting such outlandish claims? If the exchange rate climbs to $1 per Satoshi (or $100 million per BTC), then the total market capitalization of Bitcoin would be $1,800 trillion. The current global wealth is estimated at somewhere between $250 trillion and $300 trillion. Now you are claiming that the market cap of Bitcoin would be 6 times the global wealth.

What is with India and World Cup tournaments? They play well through out the tournament and choke at the last moment these days and the same was visible with the U19 team. They need someone like MSD to stay calm under such tremendous pressure.

Sad that they went crazy after the match ended, but props to Bangladesh for managing the win. Some of these players will surely replace the current primary BAN team players. On the other hand, India needs to sort out their end-game performances.

Really I was also very upset with behavior of these young kids they need to be calm as they have very bright and long future if they are doing things like this right now then surely they deserve this defeat they was able to win this match even with very low score but their atitude was not acceptable I am feeling they lost just because of this abusing and over confidence I watch all match still feeling they through this cup just because of this all not play.

A few years back, the U19 matches received no TV coverage and the players used to be relatively unknown to the general public. But this time, almost all the matches were telecast live and many of the players already had flashy IPL contracts with them. Obviously we can expect at least some of them to become arrogant, when they get money that they don't deserve. These guys need to learn from past players such as Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid. I watched them for more than a decade and I never saw them abusing anyone.

A sad news as Pakistan's inaugural tests last link dies in Karachi even he was not great but was a good stroke maker https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/_/id/28669947/waqar-hasan-last-link-pakistan-inaugural-test-dies-87

Hmmm... Pakistan played its first test match in 1952. But I need to remember you that Pakistan players were part of the British India test squad, when they played their first match on 1932 (at Lord's). For example, Ghulam Mohammad represented Sindh in the domestic tournaments. Naoomal Jeoomal was born in Karachi. Mohammad Nissar was born in Hoshiarpur, but later moved to Lahore.

Man you are on spot its all about just blackmailing from BCCI and ICC doing nothing because they have more then 70% revenue from India its killing spirit of game but its all about dirty politics which is doing this all they know cricket is really good for big profit and they are stopping this all with power.

I have to remind everyone that recently the BCCI had faced a lot of setbacks during the ICC meetings. All the other countries grouped against India, when the plan for annual fund allocation was presented. As a result, the fund allocation for BCCI was reduced significantly. Now the BCCI is with a new president (Sourav Ganguly) and he has said that BCCI will fight against any loss of its dominance.

^^^^ If everyone in the Pakistan batting lineup plays like Babar Azam, then they will be the no.1 ranking test team in the world. But that is the problem with Pakistan. The entire workload is falling on the shoulders of a few players, with few others contributing. BTW, what happened to Fakhar Zaman? The combination (Babar-Zaman) was the backbone of Pakistan batting earlier. Babar also performs well, when he is batting along with Zaman. The chemistry is very good, between these two payers.
After good batting from Pakistan bowlers also give some good support now I am feeling this match is going to end in early hours as tail enders cannot resist against quality bowling Naseem's 45 th hatrick in test matches give really good end of day as now he is youngest bowler to achieve this honor now may be Pakistan win this match by an inning.

4918  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why most of ALTCOINS are dead or worthless? on: February 09, 2020, 06:03:58 AM
None of the projects with active development has undergone death in the cryptocurrency market. All those who have died are mostly scam coins, copycats and a few abandoned projects which showed a lot of promise in the initial phase. When I first entered the market in 2017, I also made the mistake in investing a few of these coins. It happens to most of the new users and there is nothing that can be done about it.

Your all point is valid but as soccer Leagues cannot stop players from joining their National teams just one case they announces retirement for staying in League and Lamichane is still very young and he want to play for his country just because of this he go back home and playing in try nation Haris Rouf was good in early matches but fail to handle final pressure.

Sandeep Lamichhane is the only player with international/franchise experience in the Nepal team. So they wanted him to play the League 2 matches. These matches are very crucial for Nepal, as the outcome of these matches eventually decide how much international exposure and the volume of funds from the ICC they will receive. I would say that Nepal needed Sandeep Lamichhane much more than the Stars.
