4921  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Warning] BitMex just leaked thousands of email addresses on: November 01, 2019, 07:19:04 PM
I am one of the users of bitmex but luckily i never received any Update mail from them Today which implies my email was not among those visible. I do use a separate email for crypto related activities but still the unsolicited spam can be annoying as a fuck. The Spam messages can make you even miss out on important updates.
4922  Economy / Reputation / Re: Hacked or sold profiles tagged by Veleor on: November 01, 2019, 10:56:04 AM
You're welcome. You are so polite, my friend Wink

But why if selling accounts not prohibited by the rules..
It's not prohibited because people are also allowed to have multiple accounts so long as they don't have any ill intentions.

But for the community where there are lots of business deals,Loans, trades etc, a person who engages in account sales is not a person to be trusted that why you receive the negative tags... to warn other people that the account has changed hands and so when dealing with the account, one should proceed with extreme caution. The previous owner may have been trustworthy but nobody knows if the new owner is trustworthy or not. That's the whole sense of getting the sold account tagged.
4923  Other / Meta / Re: Impeachment: Is Greg Maxwell the best choice for being a mod in bitcointalk? on: November 01, 2019, 09:22:01 AM
Hereby, I officially ask Gregory Maxwell to step down from his moderation positions in this forum.

Edit: I'm not and won't be campaigning for this to happen, please don't terrorize me or try to make me quite. I have no plan to argue about what I said and won't answer stupid attacks by shills.
Honestly, i am not even sure what the purpose of this post is. You are trying to show that you are not against Gregory Maxwell and yet you seem to be against him in other parts of the post... Basically it's just a mixture of emotions. Maybe because you are scared of a backlash or something like that.

My point is why even bother making such a post on Meta if you are not ready to produce more details about your claims?

If you are also not ready to get different reactions from people then i don't think posting in Meta was a clever idea. Maybe PMing Gregory Maxwell asking him to step down would be a much better idea... right?
4924  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betller.io - P2P Betting on Bitcoin price movement on: October 31, 2019, 02:56:01 PM
How are you going to ensure that the refferal program is not going to be manipulated by cheats since there won't be any KYC implemented?
What will stop someone from creating multiple accounts and the use them to earn rewards from the referring account?
4925  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitfinex started supporting native Segwit (bech32 - bc1) withdrawals. on: October 31, 2019, 02:14:07 PM
It really sucks that there are plenty of exchanges still not allowing their traders to withdraw to bc1 addresses. I hope that this will motivate other exchanges to follow the same path.
It's very annoying for sure.
I still wonder why some exchange services have taken so long to implement segwit support yet they keep rolling out other different updates month in month out.

According to an exchange of Tweets between CZ and a Bitcoiner earlier this month, CZ has indicated to roll out support for Segwit before the end of the year. Not sure how serious he is here, but it would provide a massive boost for Segwit's adoption. Lets hope for the best.  Shocked
Sure if he talked about it then it will be rolled out. CZ is one folk talks about something they are going to do on hios twitter handle then it get's done a few months down the road.
It would be very good news if Binance join the segwit world. Many relatively small exchanges tend to follow Binance's developments and trend to try and keep afloat
4926  Other / Meta / Re: [UNBAN APPEAL] account Nevsky on: October 30, 2019, 11:55:02 AM
"Sorry nevsky, you are banned from using this forum! For security, your account has been locked. Email locked...@bitcointalk.org" Yes, maybe the reason is in the signature campaign. Thank all for help guys!
After looking through the post history of the banned account. My bet is on spamming which you did when participating in the cryptotalk campaign. You even went ahead and caused quite a scene after realizing that you got banned from the campaign.

You probably got the attention you wanted from the mods.
4927  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: October 29, 2019, 12:51:07 PM
I would prefer to pick over goals , as you said Barcelona have plenty of time to prepare for this game and the players more than ready and fit to play .. feeling fresh and for me possibly there a lot of goals to score as they will play full team de Jong messi Suarez and griezmann possibly in the line up, let's try over 6.5 goals @11 Grin .
I think over 3.5 or 4.5 would be much safer  Grin
Barcelona haven't really gotten back to their best of scoring 5+ goals almost weekly like the used to and am also expecting Valladolid to be a little resistant especially in the First half when they are still fresh.
4928  Economy / Gambling / Re: Underground Football Syndicate on: October 29, 2019, 12:02:01 PM
Lol, What a pathetic attempt to scam people. There is no such thing as a secret betting syndicate that is shared by some random newbie in the forum. Such people claim to have fixed match but i wonder why they can't use such information profit themselves secretly and silently. I mean all it takes is a few dollars and in your information is really accurate. All it takes if a few much and you are in thousands of dollars of profits
4929  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: October 29, 2019, 10:23:58 AM
DISLIKED

Only negative side is, I recommended this site to many of my friends but players like myself who lives in Turkey are facing problems to access the site and have to use VPN.
I don't know so much about your Country Turkey but could it be by any chance that betting or gambling is prohibited in your country. If it is true that could be the reason you can't access the website except through VPN.

I would recommend you against doing it because one day you might get unlucky and get your funds locked up.
4930  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: This guy copies my topic on: October 29, 2019, 04:46:41 AM
There is some resemblance in some texts and i can also see instance of text spinning. Let the mods be the judges though. The Best thing you can do now is report to the mods and wait for the outcome.

4931  Economy / Reputation / Re: List of banned participants in the Cryptotalk Campaign on: October 28, 2019, 08:09:52 AM
I'm really trying to understand, but I can't make sense of it.
I didn't Spam or send unnecessary messages.
Why is it a crime to text a subject after 1 Week ?
I was already sending 10 messages, not even 20.

I didn't know there were so many malicious people in the forum.
Whoever made this accusation really upset me.
I'm just a member of a forum trying to throw quality messages, but you complained about me for ridiculous reasons and caused me to be kicked out of the campaign.
Technically you were not accused of spamming but the problem was replying old topics for the sake of increasing your post count which is not constructive discussion. That's why you were banned from the campaign.

I am just trying to help you figure out why you were banned. There's no need to think that i am malicious as this is even the first day for me to see your profile in this forum
4932  Economy / Reputation / Re: List of banned participants in the Cryptotalk Campaign on: October 28, 2019, 07:39:25 AM
Dude, I didn't do this.I'm just sending quality messages.I never spammed.
please check my messages Sad
You don't understand what necrobumping means, do you?
Please read my post again(i even tried to explain what it means)

Here are examples of instances where you necrobumped old topics

Hello yaho,
I got kicked out of the campaign 15 days ago.I learned that today.I didn't Spam. How did this happen ? Can you check my messages ?
The reason is right there in the OP. You were replying very old topics whose discussions had already stopped for along time(Necrobumping) to increase your post count.
4934  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: blockchain.com has good or bad exchange rate? on: October 28, 2019, 05:21:36 AM
OP the best thing you can do right now is use an exchange like Binance. I know you have hassle and want to make exchanges instantly but i use Binance almost daily. If i want to exchange some coin, the whole process take less than 30 minutes... sending in the coin i want to swap and receiving the coin i want especially coins with quicker confirmation times than BTC.

The Advantages of doing trade yourself in binance;

- Way cheaper rates (services like changelly have some extra fees they charge you on top of slippage rates)
- Withdraw fees are the cheapest for most coins across all exchanges even for BTC (0.0003 BTC)
- High liquidity, your orders get filled pretty quick so long as they are within the market price range
- NO KYC for withdraw limits of 2 BTC every 24 hours
- You have control of selling your coins at whatever rate you want.
Other exchanges that have no KYC for certain limits (atleast the ones i have used) are Kucoin, Huobi, Okex but their withdrawal fees vary

Disclaimer; am not advertising binance in any way.

@OP

What about switching to Binance or Bitmex?
Yes Bitmex has no KYC and the withdrawal fees are also friendly, 0.0003 BTC just like Binance but you can not swap coins using it. The only coin you can deposit and withdraw is BTC(XBT)
Also, Bitmex's withdrawals are done only once a day in a batch (that is every day at around 13:00 UTC)
4935  Economy / Exchanges / Re: 📈[ANN][NEW][EXCHANGE] BitexLive - BTC & Altcoin Exchange📈 on: October 28, 2019, 04:41:11 AM
You should probably PM OP to lock this ANN. I realized you had more than one ANN which is not allowed and i was almost going to report the New one, fortunately i checked out this ANN before i reported.
4936  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How do you like your sig campaign payments. USD vs. BTC on: October 27, 2019, 07:47:37 AM
I do collect BTC just to trade and increase my portfolio so to me the USD/BTC rate doesn't really matter. It only matters for people who spend it as soon as they receive it.

Also given that we are paid weekly, even thou someone were to earn $120 worth of BTC per week and the price moved up or down by 10 percent right after we got paid, that's just + or - 12 USD which isn't so significant since sometimes the movement can be in your favor while other times not.
4937  Other / Meta / Re: The future of Bitcointalk: Low Ranking Top Merit earners in the past 30 days on: October 27, 2019, 06:49:59 AM
Alternatively, users can start merited in higher amounts to high quality posts instead of 1/2/5's. I think the merit system is working fine, and its suppose to take years to get to the highest rank. In my opinion its not an issue of too high requirements, but instead users are trying to spread out their merit points by only meriting with 1/2's, but a high amount of users, but it would probably be better if we rewarded very high quality posts with higher amounts of merit.

I hate to say it, but its the argument over quality over quantity. Merit sources obviously have much more leeway when meriting because they can spread while still giving a decent amount of merit per post.

The problem is that sMerits are so scarce for a normal user like me (someone who doesn't post so much technical or statistical data or engage in lots of politics around the forum which seem to attract lots of merit), on average i get 5-4 Merits per week, that's roughly just 2 sMerits to  give out, it implies a person like me cannot afford to give out 5 or 10 sMerits in a short run... so you find yourself just send one 1 merit per post however good it is.

Maybe something should be done to increase more Merits in circulation. Perhaps increase source allocations or increase more merit sources.
4938  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ⚠️ Ponzi scheme Invest-Limited is a new Bitconnect on: October 27, 2019, 05:49:51 AM
I read an article about Ponzi Scam about a month ago. This isn't really a good news for the Ponzi Investor. I was shcoked at that time too. Because of I was trying to get some more details about Ponzi and get some more details. But this article finally shocked me a lot https://all-stocks.net/allegation-plus-token-crypto-ponzi-scam-stole-3-2-billion-in-bitcoin-ethereum/
To me all ponzi schemes are scams and i believe most people will agree with me here. It doesn't matter if they are initially paying, they will eventually exit when newcomers to bringing in money and the last people who contributed or bought some of their "earning plans" will end up in loses.

My advice is as soon as you see a ponzi business model, avoid it at all costs. Don't even waste your precious time finding out who the owners are or the business licenses they have.
4939  Economy / Gambling / Re: wixiplay.io => hacked and scam from owner on: October 27, 2019, 05:10:26 AM
Pls, not accusation! For proof at PM.
But you said "scam from owner" which means they probably either scammed you or they are shady

Otherwise, i have never used their site so i don't know much about them and their service, but they have a thread and a rep here. You should probably PM him or write in their thread.

Rep - wixiplay
ANN - 🚀 WixiPlay ⭐ Daily Wager Contest 🎲 Up To 200% Bonus 🎯

He's saying it's a scam   I can say without a doubt  it's a poorly coded site.. written in php... it's a pipe  dream and the owner is running on a very tight bankroll  j have chat logs with him  when he releases keno I won about 100k doge from the daily contest winnings I got.. 1k... he said that it should be impossible to get 100x from keno and he investigated me for hacking   In the end he found I was not a hacker but he couldn't afford to pay me the 100k and asked if I could accept my winnings in small payments over the following 2 weeks.
Well at least he was honest and did pay all your earnings... right?
I know of some owners who don't even bother paying at all when you beat them hands down.

The site could definitely be poorly coded and vulnerable to attacks but the person behind it might be honest and not a scammer. I am not trying to defend them but it's just my thought.
4940  Economy / Gambling / Re: wixiplay.io => hacked and scam from owner on: October 27, 2019, 04:10:21 AM
Not sure i understand what you are trying to say. Let me get it right; Are trying to say wixiplay.io scammed you?
If yes, can you provide any proof here?

If all is true then i think it's better you open up a scam accusation in the scam accusations board with all the proof in the post of course
I personally have never heard of that site before.
