4921  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: People should manage the allocation of assets even when trading Bitcoin on: May 25, 2020, 04:52:34 PM
Its simple, there is some conventional proverb "don't put all your eggs in one basket". On the other hand, "high risk high gain, no risk no gain". Even you are going to invest something on your real life you shouldn't invest all of your money at one place. Same as for bitcoin as well. You shouldn't invest all of your funds. If you invest 30% then if incase bitcoin go more dip then likely you may accumulate few more and you will have a good return. But always you shouldn't expect high return from bitcoin because this isn't any investment platform like Ponzi. You should know the risk involved with it. You can see those peoples invested on ATH they never gained profits from bitcoin if they are still holding. But likely they sold in loss and trade again to recover, but who know?
4922  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China electric issue causes Bitcoin to pull back on: May 25, 2020, 04:11:28 AM
To be honest I can't found any correlation between mining hash rate and Bitcoin price (I would be wrong as well). I strongly believe most of bitcoin investors do not care about hash rate. The question about price pull back then I will say it's just normal behaviour of bitcoin trend. Also there was no notable downtrend as well if you see current volatility. The simple reason is of current pull back, btc going to correction zone after Halving. Mostly article about hash rate likely to create FUD in my opinion and whales could accumulate again.
4923  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Best Crypto Idea to Explore. on: May 24, 2020, 05:10:36 PM
Why can't we have a business that's only accept payment with cryto.
Most likely due to volatility? That would be real reason behind of not to accept only bitcoin. For example you have a eCommerce website and you are selling goods. Imagine a product price $90 and you set price 0.01 according to current bitcoin price. What will happen if bitcoin drop into $7K? Then you will have to set something like API to change btc price automatically to become $90 equal. This isn't problems as well we might solved by using plugin. But who will carried out loss if bitcoin price drop after you accept payment?

Anyway I don't have any new idea, but also I would like to shopping via bitcoin payment methods from worldwide eCommerce websites like Amazon. But the real concern I have mentioned above. Or there should something similar market who would provide the service like Amazon but payment should held via bitcoin or with stable coin. But it should be with crypto-currency, so we might convert our bitcoin and shopping from there. At least we will able to use bitcoin/crypto-currency for our daily needs.

4925  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have a question about gaming developer idea on: May 24, 2020, 08:14:07 AM
Sounds like peer to peer betting platform. Although I am not expert but I believe you should be perfect from your ends when you are going to play with money. At least from your country you should have proper documents to run peer to peer betting site. You should hire a legal advisor from your country where you are going to run platform. So he will advise you what is the required documents. But if you want to run without documets or licence then up to you, and not sure how long will you able to continue. It's like exchange, some exchange have license and proper documents, and some exchange have nothing.

But if you wondering to build decentralized betting platform then licence isn't much important IMO. I am not sure based on what you are going to build peer to peer betting platforms. If you are wondering about centralized peer to peer betting platforms then you have to ensure transparency and likely you should start with minimum documets to avoid government issues.
4926  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Big Short movie, BTC edition? on: May 24, 2020, 07:40:53 AM
Can the OP or anyone else say for a FACT what is to worry about? Is the problem you think the owners of the Tether coin are spending the money on Lambos and stuff? Serious...
Worry about transparency of Tether Limited.  The problems is they are minting Tether whenever they want and they claimed that these are 100% backed by USD but there is no transparent data for that. If you notice bitcoin volatility then you will realize its happening when some big amount of tether moved from there treasury. Means most likely it's been using to manipulate bitcoin price as well. Tether Limited failed to provide transparent audit reports. You may read short details on wikipedia.
4927  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why would anyone want to use a paper wallet with raw private key? on: May 23, 2020, 09:50:05 PM
I hadn't suggested anyone to use paper wallet ever especially those are newbie in bitcoin. They just simply heard from someone about paper wallet and trying to create it without proper knowledge. Even you can see a user had created brand new private key/address but when he checked on block explorer then it has been used. Means user even don't know which website is perfect to genarate private keys offline. There is lots of security concern regarding paper wallet. If anyone don't want to download whole blockchain then better to use full SPV wallet like electrum, it's open source and easily could write seeds and export private keys.

Most important concern is during first transaction if they move fund partially. Because they have only one address and there is no wallet & change address. So its huge risk of lost fund. Mostly people want to hold funds on paper wallet for long time. But on this case it's been suggested to buy a hardware wallet which is more secure from paper wallet. Otherwise better to use non-custodial open source wallet and write seed phrase on multiple paper which would save on multiple safe place.
4928  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Business Accepts Small Payments - They Are Arriving In Wallet "Unspendable" on: May 23, 2020, 06:01:50 PM
I am using the BitLox wallet currently, but am open to alternatives.
Seems it is a hardware wallet and I am not familiar with it. Just curious, how are you accepting bitcoin by this wallet? Via API? A hardware wallet should have a option to set fees manually.

Anyway you may use a payment gateway and I will prefer for BTCPay Server. This is open source Non-custodial wallet/payment processor means you will have control of your private keys. You may accept bitcoin and other altcoin as well including lighting network if you host yourself. There is no processing nor additional fees except miner fee. You would read necessary documents here.

Don't accept payments in bitcoin and you won't have a problem.
You shouldn't discourage someone from use bitcoin. If you can't solve the problems or if you don't know/want just ignore.
4929  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Importance of use forum PM during make a financial deal. on: May 23, 2020, 04:45:10 PM
Impotence
You had me worried lol.

Click bait title Tongue
Result if auto correction , Lol.
Corrected now  Wink

To be honest, I have been scammed in this forum when I was still new. I trusted quickly and thought that there is a lot of trustworthy people back then.
That's the real concern, newbies aren't much familiar with forum system. But we should point them how it work then they would save themselves from scammers. Evertime scammers are changing their scam method, that's why always should use escrow and chat via forum PM. So at least scammer will get punished and other users would be aware bu this way.
4930  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning]: Double your bitcoin in Nitrogen Sports on: May 23, 2020, 04:37:56 PM
Its seems post has deleted and your Archived version isn't working as well. For if anyone want to take a look on Archived version LoyceV club would help, here is Archived link: http://loyce.club/archive/posts/5448/54484941.html ,

We shouldn't install any addon if we don't have knowledge about what we are going to install. It would harm us even it would keep role to hack our device. Besides that, sound like scammy to me. Offer something like double your bitcoin within short of time is obvious scam. It's more better to stay away from such as offer. Likely moderators deleted scammer's thread due malicious links.
4931  Other / Beginners & Help / Importance of use forum PM during make a financial deal. on: May 23, 2020, 02:21:44 PM
I am not sure if this subject has discussed previously, if so I wanna repeat once again, I can't see anything wrong to remind few good things.

Some of us using this forum to sell goods or something else including currency exchange. First I want to suggest use forum escrow before deal with any untrusted person. Sometimes peoples are avoiding use escrow in order to save escrow fees and sometimes they are getting scam. The problem is even they made the deal outside forum and they use some third party chat apps like telegram. So it would become quite complicated to prove that you was scammed. Because simply any chat history would be edited. When you will read this Accusation then you will see accused and accuser both are blaming each other. And it's become quite complicated who is right and who is wrong.

So we could avoid such as situation if you make deal via forum PM. You don't need to chat everything, you may chat on other apps and finally before send money ask seller to send full details about product, price and btc address  via your forum PM then you may send fund and reply him. So what will happen if seller scam you? You can make accusation with proper evidence, if seller deny your claim then it could be verify via forum moderators by report to admin from PM option. So if seller want to continue business here then he will have to pay back either send product. Otherwise he would marked red and you may open flag type 3.

Conclusion: Always use forum escrow before make any kind of deal on the forum. So your funds will be safe, just don't be stingy for escrow fees. And must make final deal via forum PM. Whatever you have discussed out of forum, just write final deal on forum PM, so it would help expose scammer if commit a scam.

4932  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin movements, possibly owned by Satoshi. on: May 23, 2020, 01:58:32 PM
There is no such as evidence that this address is owned by satoshi nakamoto. Although personally I believe this address is belongs to satoshi but fortunately it will not make any difference on the fact. And the fact is we don't know exactly which address is belongs to satoshi or if still that address controlled by satoshi nakamoto.

Its sure that address was belongs to a miner who mined bitcoin during that time and satoshi was one of them. If he really moved bitcoin by himself then I am assuming that he want to see the impact of after move. Likely he is reading our discussion as well and realizing effect of after bitcoin move. But still there is suspension who owned this address.
4933  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Creator Dead on Covid-19? on: May 23, 2020, 01:43:11 PM
Another thread about satoshi death. Short answer is even we don't know who is the person so how could we imagine if he is effected by covid-19 or he was dead. But since he is a human like us so it's possible that he could be effected as well. If you ask me about dead impact then nothing will happen, because I already told you we don't know the person so there is very less possibility to revealed his identity after death. But if he revealed himself before death then his death will impact on bitcoin obviously. Community would broke for sometimes and probably that's why satoshi didn't revealed himself.
4934  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help for a newbie on: May 22, 2020, 05:07:17 PM
Actually I was not being able to decrypt my BIP38 to get the private key, but now I did it using bitadress.
Still I am confused what does mean decrypt private keys. Did you mean you are unable to genarate private key or you didn't wrote when genarated?

Anyway I will not encourage to use paper wallet to hold your bitcoin. I will suggest to install open source wallet like electrum and verify signature. So you will have a bitcoin wallet and you will have full control of your wallet as well. More better if you could by a hardware wallet like Ledger nano if you can afford. So your fund will be more secure, otherwise electrum is best option for you. You should select standard wallet if you want to use Legacy address instead of SegWit.

There is some concern about paper wallet like there is only single address and there is no change address. So there is chance of lost your funds during make partial transaction from paper wallet and I believe you aren't even familiar with change address.

However, either you create paper wallet or electrum, you should write your seed/private keys to multiple paper and keep save them on multiple places as well to avoid further loss. Do not save your private keys and seed to any online machine.
4935  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Warning - Varpenter is scammer on: May 22, 2020, 04:50:33 PM
I understand your concern however this will not stop selling me my account.
250$ is few dollars for you?
Obviously, even I can't imagine to sell my unverified account, so how I a person could sell his verified account which is verified with government issued id card only for $250?

If selling my own account will get me tagged then fine, but in that case go in - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=234.0
Check how much account offers there are, for betting accounts, different wallets, exchanges and so on. Also they are selling in bulk which means its impossible for them to sell their own accounts. Would you tag them all in that case?
I can't prevent alone all forum corruption. I have remembered those accusation made on reputation most of that verified account sellers got tag by me. So if you are wondering there is any corruption, feel free to create accusation against them. So other DT members will be able to take a look on this either should tag or not.
4936  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Warning - Varpenter is scammer on: May 22, 2020, 04:08:34 PM
I am selling my own account, verified with my documents, with full access including email access.
What makes you think it is hacked or someone else name? I am selling only 1 acc not in bulk.
Imagine you are selling your own account, but really do you think that's trustworthy activity selling own verified account? What will you do if the buyer involved with fraudulent activities in future? Why you are wondering to sell your verified account just for few dollars?

Still I believe selling verified account is untrustworthy activity even it's your own. I will appreciate opinions from some other DT members and likely will consider remove negative feedback.

ok we can get a moderator here between us and u if u not same person u can proof that
Moderators could help only if you made deal via forum PM.
4937  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Warning - Varpenter is scammer on: May 22, 2020, 02:34:32 PM
Allow me to ask you a question, why you didn't used forum escrow services since seller was encouraged to do so?
Since I am new here and have done quite a few deals here I will suggest to deal via escrow (if you do not accept it do not contact with me)
Archived
I am expecting appropriate answer from you. The chat screenshots of telegram could simply edit. Do you have any chat history on the forum? If so then likely we would verify it via moderators by reporting. Otherwise it's quite complicated to tag him for scam reason.

Anyway selling and buying pre-verified account isn't legal action. If verified with your own I'd then fine, but you are encouraged to buy an account which was verified with someone else government issued cards. So I am leaving negative trust for both of you.
4938  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Started selling on paxful & my bank just called to say my account is closed on: May 22, 2020, 02:09:05 PM
Maybe I should wait for the original branch managers to get back from vaca?
I believe decision will not change if it has done. But it would more better to meet with original branch manager and talk regarding your problems. Even they closed your account money should return to you. Money isn't belongs to them. Is a signle transaction looks suspicious then why they didn't prevent it to make deposite on your account? This isn't appropriate action to seize all your money. What if someone from my enemy make illegal transactions to my account? Isn't it matter of investigation? If really they closed and seize your funds then call the police.

OP has made big mistakes, this is normal thing that you don't know anyone over internet where you are trading bitcoin. So you will not able to make sure if they are involved with fraudulent. But you may avoid some services those aren't accepted by banks and you should know it very well and you would ask your clients which methods aren't acceptable to you.

Second mistakes is, since this account with related with crypto currency then you shouldn't keep your all money on that bank account. You should have some other banck account on different banks rather than use just a single account. You should move all your funds from this account after made deposits. However, I am not familiar with your country banks. You may hire a legall advisor from your local country to get perfect advise and take appropriate action as well.
4939  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Satoshi Nakamto Have in this forum! on: May 22, 2020, 01:50:59 PM
I believe we will not see who is the creator of bitcoin until he alive. Not sure if he will leave some message for us before pass away throw his family or friends. But it's pretty sure he is around us in case if he is alive. There would be multiple problems if he revealed himself. As we believe bitcoin is a true decentralized crypto-currency, here we might get problems if satoshi revealed himself. The most concerning matter is he would be arrested for create this decentralized crypto currency because wolrd's centralized governments do not like it. Really satoshi is a genius person. If he have intention to reveal himself then most likely he is waiting for right time.
4940  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: HODLing is great but why not use Options to insure what you are HODLing? on: May 22, 2020, 01:27:51 PM
Sound is like stop-loss, and I think option trading and stop-loss is same. But fortunetly you will have to exchange if you like to set option or stop-loss. The problem is most of hodlers do not like to hold their assets on the exchange due to low security. On the other hand, long terms hodler do not care about small volatility since their intention to hold for future. Whatever you wrote looks time short time trade to be honest. Also you can't say you are fully secure by set option, because sometimes we have encounter price has pumped after touch set option/stop-loss. So if this happen then you will be loser by the way. So for long term hodlers it's not much important to set stop-loss or set option. That's why they are HODLER, not a traders.
